I am getting married on april 14, and my fiance and I aren't going on our actual honeymoon untill the end of this year due to lack of money, we are both college students and don't have the money to take a trip right now. The day after our wedding, my fiances parents are going with a family friend to travel around where the wedding is being held, they are going to have us go with them, but I don't want to do that, I would rather spend time alone together. How do I bring this up to my fiance?

I'm getting married this autumn, and I already have the first dance song for my fiance and I, (its a fun silly song that is very appropriate for us as a couple) however I am now looking for a great father daughter dance song. I have looked at lists online of course. I have the best Dad in the world, he taught me so much, as a child I was always in his workshop with him while he was working on cars or building/repairing furniture etc. We went hiking a lot and he taught me about nature. I have always been able to talk to him about anything, he has always been there for me and I feel so lucky to have such a kind and supportive Father. I'm not the princess type of girly girl if that helps, more of a tomboy. I'm not really into a Frank Sinatra song or that genre (neither is he), I do really like country music and hippie type music/alternative music. Bob Dylan is a favorite of mine - if that gives a better idea. My Dad introduced me to Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell, Iron Butterfly etc. I also don't want something too sappy because I don't want to be crying! Heck, I tear up just thinking about Daddy Daughter dance at my wedding! (haha right now) So...if you are married...what was your father daughter song (if you had one)? Or do you have a song that you really think would be a great father daughter dance song. (and no, not interested in putting on a show, just a simple traditional slow dance). Thanks for any ideas! :-)
