A while ago in an attempt to empathize with a friend who was complaining about someone, I joined him in his complaints. Basically we both talked negatively about this person. And now I feel, is it necessary to go to that person and say sorry? Like I don't really know why I feel so guilty. I know people gossip all the time but when I get caught up in something like this I feel really bad about it and don't know how to handle it, without looking like a complete idiot. Posted: 20 Feb 2017 04:27 PM PST so basically there's this guy who i work with. and last thursday me and my crush were in the same room together. he was working on something with the computer. and so we were just sitting next to each other until i started to initiate a conversation with him. and so when i asked him how he was, he turned to me and answered. and i could tell he was very happy to talk to me and he was also smiling and joking around with me a bit. his voice is also soft and quiet. but he's loud with everybody else in the office. so then after he talked i was talking a little bit but then he quickly ended our conversation and then he just left us in an awkward silence. and then he called another coworker to come and help him. :(( i don't know why. but he never initiates conversations with me. i always go up to him and say hi and he's very nice with me. i felt sad cause since i always ask him things, i felt like i was making things awkward with us. but then after another coworker came in he kept looking at me and smiling and laughing with me. so i felt a little better after the convo. so do you think he doesn't want to talk to me or is he just shy? he never looks nervous to talk (tbh i'm more nervous) i think maybe he knows i'm awkward to talk to so he probably doesn't want to be in an awkward conversation. but i notice other times, when he's talking to other people (btw he's very outgoing with his other coworkers) i catch him glancing and smiling at me. so what do you think?? pls don't be mean. |

I have been experiencing some personal problems. My friends tell me that I am drifting away from them. I have been talking less and less and I have been becoming more solemn. This is because of multiple reasons, like the stress I have been dealing with for years, video games, and probably a few other reasons too. I just do not know what to do anymore. My parents are also getting a divorce soon, my mom has been making the money and my dad has mostly been slacking off, so my mom is planning to divorce. The problem with that is that my dad will be taking half the money from my mom has and we has been stressing about it. Now my dad is a good person, that I know of, but he has been quite irresponsible. So this has had some impact on me too. There have been numerous other things that have been happening to me, so I have turned to video games to cheer me up and help me out. Video games have caused many problems though. I have become addicted to them for several years now and I cannot stop playing them sometimes. I have been slacking off homework and projects from this and I have been becoming less and less social while my grades are dropping. I feel like video games are the reason why these problems are becoming a thing. I have been going through a lot lately and I cannot handle these problems anymore, is there any way to ease them or relax a bit? What do I do |

I don t think I ve done anything wrong... I don t really talk about people behind their backs (negatively) without a good reason, we never got into any huge fights, I just do NOT know what I ve done. They ve always been there for me, but they re kind replacing me. They don t talk to me that much, they don t sit with me at lunch, etc. it s a horrible feeling, it s like I was just not good enough for them. The worst part is they went to the popular group that every public school has. Everyone within that group (and the worst part is it s freakishly large at my school. There s got to be at least 20-25 popular kids) seems to dislike me. I ve tried everything, and my friends are really the only reason I kept going these past 2 years. i can t even keep a conversation going without feeling unwanted or awkward. I don t know, it s just such a horrible, dark, physically and emotionally hurting feeling and I don t know who to reach out to. I just don t want to be alone. The fact they want to go with the popular kids but I want them to stay with me makes me think I m being selfish, but I m just really hurt, you know? Do you think they still care about me? Most of the girls have left and eat somewhere else, and the rest eat in a classroom together. I only really have one friend outside from my old lunch group. I've been too scared to ask to sit with her group, so I've been eating in the basement for the past month. I hate it. On Friday I had to give a book to one of the girls who sit at the same table as my friend. My friend invited me to sit with them so I did. The lunch table was pretty crowded, and one girl had to stand. I'm scared they are already set with their group, and I'm scared of what some of the girls will think if I sit with them tomorrow. But I also don't want to eat in the basement anymore. I'm terrified for lunch tomorrow, and I don't know if I should eat at that table, or just keep going to the basement. Any advice? She has kept that promise and has been here for me but lately things have been going down hill. We keep arguing over little things and they always seem to be because of me. They always end in us telling each other how we feel and that we are best friends and that this won t defeat us, but it has become an ongoing thing and a cycle at that. I keep saying that maybe it is just our time and we just aren t how we used to be, and it hurts to say it everytime and I don t want to it to be true. She always says no, we won t stop being friends you are mad right now and I ll let you get over it but I will text you tomorrow and she does and sometimes I m okay with that and other times I m not and continue a little upset. The only reason we haven t completely fallen apart is because of our genuine love for each other. Can anyone help? |

She sometimes says "love you" if I say something nice to her and she always laughs at my jokes, even if they're not that funny. she always takes pictures of me (not in a creepy way, our friend group always takes funny pictures of each other and send them to each other) but she almost always takes pictures of me and rarely of the other friends while the rest of us do a mix of pictures of the group. Also she put her leg up on me for me to fasten her roller skate and she was like inching closer as I did it and she put it up there for as long as possible (she said too loose, then too tight so I had to keep fastening it) and when we were skating at first she held my hand for her to balance herself, but then she didn't want to hold it anymore except she'd have her arms balancing herself possibly ready to grab my hand but she never did after that. Same with talking. If I don't start a conversation I don't think they'd talk to me. We always have a great time when we go out somewhere. I've had these friends for years. We went to school together. It's not like they're that busy either. They aren't married. They don't have kids. They have jobs but only work a few days a week. When I talk about bullies, I don't just mean children—people exhibit bullying behaviors throughout their lives. One thing I noticed is how their (insults towards you) often CONTRADICT themselves! I believe this is because of the simplistic goal of bullies: they'll throw anything at you, with no logic. I've had (bullies) accuse me of exact opposite things! I've been accused of being Conservative/Wild! by the same person. Or "out of touch"/conformist! How the heck can I be out of touch, and be a follower of all today's trends? Posted: 20 Feb 2017 10:47 AM PST Because I have heard lots of people who have got special needs getting bullied and this is my story....I am 18 years old , I am from the UK and I was diagnosed with autistic spectrum. When I was kid I had a good childhood and I have been moving 6 different schools. 4 primary/ Elementary schools and 2 high schools. When I was at my 4th Elementary/ Primary School just after I started Everyone was nice to me and then after New Years the kids in my class started to not like me. Later on that year one kid called me an R word and When i went back to school on September and start a new school year it become worse because lots of kids in my class use to tell me what to do they me to move in the horrible way and called me S word ( negative word for a special need person) and everyone hated me because I was different and when I was at high school I got bullied even worse and then I got pulled out and then I went to special needs school and I felt more safer. I don't know why every time I speak to a teacher I keep tottering and some people find it funny which I can't really help. I am more worried about the future and I don't know what it is going to happen to me because I don't want to get bullied by a wrong group of friends or even people who I don't know. I am scared of the future and Every time I go to gymnastics If my friends are not There I'm always getting people who are judgmental and anything negative. |

I was born in Egypt where I was discriminated by peers and outcasted just because I was a Christian minority, I moved to Alexandria to live with my grandparents because my mother had to go work in Kuwait because our family was broke and my dads pharmacy was getting robbed and deteriorating, he was never there for me as a father figure either, I was just his punching bag whenever he got home angry from work.. i then moved to Kuwait when I was 12 it was a completely different culture and I have faced more discrimination than ever, not just because I was a Christian, but also because I was a "Dirty Egyptian". Lived outcasted until the age of 15, then moved to Canada.. I was not able to make any friends, I had bad English at the beginning but that has improved significantly. But I just can't keep any conversations going, I can't relate to anything anyone is saying all the time. I feel so socially uneducated, I can't keep a simple conversation going in any way possible. I graduated college last year at the age of 20 which was last year. I don't even have a sense of humour, I can't include anything witty or humorous whatsoever. And I know I will never have a significant other and I will live a lonely life forever.. why can't I just be like everybody else and have a purpose? |

Another one was my crushes' friend who blamed me for my crush being upset with me, as I am a caregiver for my grandmother (who has severe dementia). And my "best friend" has another best friend, and was very rude to me when I gave her a gift... also, spoke to me like I was stupid. I know that these problems are not extremely horrible, and that I should be grateful.. But due to a dirt bike accident I had when I was 16, I am medically unable to have sex. I needed surgery and no longer have a penis (not to shock anyone, but seriously). But I am still attractive and very attracted to girls, and went on a date the other night. I could tell the girl wanted sex though, which got me so nervous. I often think back to the very nice feelings that I got from imagining girls and rubbing myself, and I cannot feel like that anymore. I at least want to make a girl feel good though. But I'm frustrated, because I still have lots of hormones at my age, but no way to channel that. And I feel jealous watching people have sex in movies, porn, etc. Surgery to correct this is simply NOT an option, so: 1. How will girls react, to seeing my 'situation'? 2. How important is a penis, to girls? Honestly? 3. Why do my testicles ache so much when I'm around pretty girls now? (They didn't used to hurt so much)? 4. What will future girlfriend honestly want? But just recently, I have become VERY self-conscious. I am 5'5 and weigh 125 pounds. I am 15 years old. When I tell her that I am self-conscious, she gets violent and upset. She digs her nails into my skin when she is upset about my weight issue, or anything else. She pushes me off of the bed and slaps me, and just last night, she put her fingers on both sides of my cheeks, and squeezed as hard as she could, until I had bruises. And directly after THAT, she wrapped her hands around my neck and started to choke me, and my head felt like it was going to come off. I don't know what to do about this situation, because she said she would hurt herself if I ever stopped being friends with her. Her brother has some mental health issues, and he has just recently been put in a mental health institution. I don't know how to handle this. I don't want to be responsible for her death by ending our friendship. This has happened to me before, but with a different friend. What am I doing wrong? |

She blocked me from everything so im really hurt at the moment. everyone keeps telling me to move on because she's not worth it, She was always there for me when no one else was. She was the one who drove me 2hrs almost everyday when I needed therapy for a broken foot. she's never been this angry before what can I do??? |

Posted: 20 Feb 2017 08:44 AM PST Today is my 13th birthday and none of my friends have wished me a happy birthday...I know they aren't planning anything, they aren't like that. I've tried giving subtle hints but they still don't remember..not even my best friend remembered...It makes me want to cry because we were talking about birthdays and my friend said her birthday was on the 19th, the day before mine. After she said that, I mentioned that mine was the 20th..I had mentioned it before and that wasn't the first time I told them... I'm so done! I do all kinds of nice things for them and I care about them, I'm always there for them and I let them lean on me whenever they need it! I've listened to them cry and rant for hours because I love them and not a single one of them can say 'happy birthday'. Also, thank you to the people saying happy birthday. At least someone said it. |

| Question: Help! What does my dream mean? Posted: 20 Feb 2017 08:08 AM PST I had a dream where I was exploring my elementary school with my current best friend (lets call her A). Then, we exit the school and see my former best friend exiting from exploring the school as well. (Lets call him B). B turns to me and his face lights up only for me to say "bye" and grab A's hand and leave. Then, later in the dream I realize how much of a b*tch I was being to B, so I text B. B and I text back and forth but only words like "sorry" "okay",etc. So, I go to B (without A) to the front of my elementary school and I start to apologize,and he wouldn't even look at me. All I remember him is saying "I don't talk to people like you" before I woke up. After I woke up I had so much nostalgia, sad nostalgia. Background info: A is my current best friend since middle school (I am in highschool) and B was my Best BEST friend in elementry school, until he started going to another school, who stood me up on our meeting (we were meeting once a year) and texted me once in 2 years. In the end, he texted me 2 months ago saying "hi lol" AFTER 2 YEARS of not hearing from him. He also only texted me when he was "bored". |

Later told me I crossed the line when I touched her because she was abused before!! I tried texting from my friends phone and asked me to leave her alone or she will call the cops for harassment. | Posted: 20 Feb 2017 07:32 AM PST Before you write "well you should do what your parents tell you to" I know you should always listen to your parents and do what the tell you to do but you don't have to do exactly what they tell you to do my friend is 15 and we are sophomores in highschool; she is very shy and introverted and does everything her mom tells her to, now I would not be writing this unless what her mom told her was wrong but her parents treat her like a baby they won't even let her cut her own banana with a knife they control every aspect of her life including the books she reads the movie she watches and even the clothes she wears that's something a parent would go for a 9 year old. She asked her mom if she can read the hunger games and her mom gave her a dirty look, they only let her read books on animals and they don't let her go out or have fun like a normal teenager which is makeing her very shy and closed in me being her friend i am trying to get her out of her shell and have her take risks instead of being in that little isolated box. I am really worried about her because Ik she has more to live for. |

In college i made new friends who have told me he talks behind me back but i didnt believe them. I also thought everyone does it meaning its not too bad. When i was walking down the hall he was talk about me. Making fun of the way i talk. Calling me a retard. I have a disorder which is the reason i talk like that. He brought up issues i had in high school, he talked about my relatiobship with a cheerleader, he said she made me where a brown paper bag when we had sex. I walk down the hall and confronted him. I refuse to say a word to him. He said i was sensitive and it was too serious. |

| Posted: 20 Feb 2017 03:41 AM PST Now there is this boy, he left the school 4 years ago and went to another school, he was my biggest enemy and was a bully, I was the most person, the most girl he made fun of. Now this year he came back just to visit his friends from school, so he came and saw me and started saying stupid things and making fun of me again without any reason. First I was quiet and kept ignoring him but then I just got angry and he got my nerves he pushed me and I pushed him back and we started fighting and he just punched me in the face! And many people surrounded us! It was so hurting and I got so embarrassed too of the people around me, I know I had to ignore him and it was stupid of me to get angry and fight with him too but... he is so immature I thought he grew up and he won't do this again! People started gossiping about what happened and some students started lying about me starting the fight, and the teacher came. But what can they do for the boy? He is not from our school anymore! They just talked to him and left him alone as if nothing ever happened and now I show up as if I am the bad person, as if I am the one who started the fight. And... the worst part is... when people started gossiping about this, I saw some of the students telling people and one of the people they told was, someone who is very special to me and I don't want that person to think I am a bad person! T^T what can I do now? What should I do? |

Posted: 20 Feb 2017 02:21 AM PST First of all, about two years ago i moved to high school where i made a group of friends, who i just hung out with cos there was no one else to be friends with. They have always been very negative people which isn't good for me, having low self confidence. This year they have moved into two seperate groups and i am stuck in the middle. I went to the pool yesterday with one group and they completely ignored me!! And then when we were gonna go on the 2 person water slide (4 of us) they fighted over who was gonna be partners. The one who wasn't picked decided to go by herself while i was left standing there. But the worst part was at the end when my dad picked me up first and i said "Bye guys!! Thanks so much for inviting me. Ill see you tomorrow!". No one flinched or even looked at me!! And i stood right in front of them and said it very clearly, and my dad was watching!! I was so embarrassed! The other group of my 'friends' always tell me im wrong and make me feel crap. There is no one else at school to hang out with. My old friends from my other school are now best friends and i heard them say that I wasn't their friend any more. At dance we had to go in groups to create a dance. No one asked me to be in their group. So i asked a few people and they all said no!! To make things worse my aunt just died from cancer and i cant stop thinking about her. I am just a mess and i would really like some help. (Plz no rude comments cos i dont want to feel worse) |
