Posted: 07 Feb 2017 05:08 PM PST She's friends with all my other friends and in four out of my seven class periods and talks to me in the hallway and sits with me at lunch but I feel like she's always yelling. Half the time I don't even know what she's yelling at me for and sometimes she will slap me really hard on the arm or pinch me until I'm begging her to stop. I dread seeing her all day and she cries when I don't do what she says and tells me it's my fault. We had a big fight a few months ago when we were on a school trip and she told me that everything is always my fault and cried in the bathroom for an hour while she yelled at her mom on the phone and the other girls in our hotel room and I had to pretend we couldn't hear her. I spent the entire trip alone because she ran off with everyone else I knew and I couldn't find the other girls in our hotel room. She yells at me about my grades and tells me I should join the school's program for delinquents because I have a D in our language class but sometimes it's really hard for me to do anything and I can't explain why. She never listens when I tell her to stop and sometimes implies that she disciplines me better than my parents. Although she's yelled at me for "insulting her family" before. (I didn't.) I don't want to be around her but she's always around and nobody listens when I tell them how much I hate spending time with her because she laughs at my jokes and I have to pretend to laugh at hers. |

I had no friends in middle school at all, towards the end of eight grade (I'm in ninth right now) I had one true friend. Sure I had two others as well and they were definitely friends, but they were not as close. In addition, I was bullied and pushed around a lot in middle school. Pretty much everyone's group in my school still probably finds me to be an annoying cuck. I tried last year to fit in with my friends group, didn't work. I got kicked out. I tried again this year, and I really thought that I had finally found a friend group, until I pissed them off and now I don't think they want to associate with me ever again. I would also consider myself to be a really horrible person sometimes. I am so full of hatred all the time and it bothers me a lot. And I have noticed it more and more as of late. Currently, I am taking Ritalin for "ADHD", but I am not sure if I really want to continue taking that drug, due to other unrelated reasons. I have also noticed slightly increased anxiety and depression as of lately. My parents have recently divorced and my grades are also in the toilet. Anyone have any idea as to how they can help? I am focused more than ever on the friend issue. Thank you so much in advance. |

Well teach finds out it was my class and threatens to give us all a paper unless she got it back and found out who did it. We returned her soap and explained ourselves, she believed us and isn't angry but we're getting detentions from the dean tomorrow, which is fine, we deserve it. But now the entire school is talking about it and making it seem like we straight up stole it with bad intentions. Also they're only saying I did it, my friends aren't being gossiped about, only me. I'm extremely upset about it, I've cried nonstop since I got home and the whole school is talking trash. Even the teachers. How can I overcome this? Have you ever had a rumor, true or not true? |

I absolutely despise parties and I'm quite thankful I never get invited to them. I am very quiet and awkward. Although my brain is constantly thinking and analyzing everything going on around me, nothing comes out of my mouth. You can imagine this leads people to misjudge me or think I'm clueless. I'm 18 years old and a senior in high school. Everyone my age seems to be into doing stupid things. It just makes me roll my eyes, tbh. It's rather difficult for me to find people I can actually relate to, let alone have a decent conversation with. I love my alone time and value it more than anything. I desperately await getting home after school, just to have my "me" time. I get exhausted, bored, and nervous in crowds or in any group with more than a few people. I take a very long time to let people in or in other words, "open up" to them. So you can figure I've never had many friends. I'm sort of a goody two shoes, too. The reason I'm asking this question is because today, I was eating alone at school (I always do) but this group of students just took notice and targeted me for it, being very inquisitive and getting all up in my space, which I hate, and asking me question after question about why I'm alone, why I choose to spend time alone, why I don't have friends, why I'm "so shy", etc. It's really none of their business, is it that unheard of? I'm not necessarily a social butterfly if you haven't already noticed. I certainly DO enjoy decent conversations with people I can tolerate, I do wish I had friends sometimes. The old friend group I had was full of fakes and people who didn't accept me for who I was, eventually leaving me because I'm "too shy, boring, and weird." When I can actually feel comfortable around people, and it can't be a large group, I will find joy in conversation. |

It's not to offer me a ride, and when I answer her she seems to be unhappy with my answer or she tries to get on me about being with my boyfriend.... I get easily annoyed and I want her to get off my back. A couple times she has even told me to take an injury to get out of work. She also always does that while I am cashing out a customer. Everyday he brings his friends or his family and their children to make noises as much as possible to give me uncomfortable nights. Everytime I ask him to stop it, he says "They just happened to pop up by surprised and I can't just kick them out". I can never have a quiet moment in my work, free time AND house! I could call the cops but it would be embarrassing. Besides, they're not gonna do anything about it because he has absolute freedom as long as he's inside his "territory". I don't want revenge or anything. I want to fight back so he would stop. I thought about playing music in a music mixer but it would be obvious that I'm doing this to annoy them. It's currently 2 a.m. in here and they're still here. The T.V. is loud as ****, they're screaming and talking so loud it's waking the dead and every now and then they switch on their cars to make even more noise. I was always sharing everything with her and I have lied her for only things in my life. I recently became very close to one girl Alex who I've grown up with. So ever since I got close with Alex everything changed. I'am a very good student, I don't drink or smoke, I don't go out every day especially at night, I don't and have never done drugs. I share with my mom EVERYTHING like even if I had just eaten an apple. She constantly tells her best friend ( who I am very close with too) that I am lying to her and she is sure but she just doesn't have a proof. Whenever we get into fighting she is always the one who is offended and the one who is hurt. I always go to appologize and she starts acting haughtily. She is mad at me because some people find me attractive. She has even told her friend that I was flirting with my father's friends which is insane!!! I do like older guys than me, but my father's friends, really? What I know for sure is that my mom has been very suppressed before. By my father's family and even by him. She is not confident and she thinks she is not a good looking woman. I think she is unhappy and I feel really bad for that. I'm a 9th grade school teacher (I teach french and spanish). Over Christmas break I went on a family vacation to the french island of St Martin. The beaches there are mostly topless and it really isnt sexual, its women of all ages, with their children, etc. Its just french. I went topless. My 20 year old cousin apparently snapped a photo on her phone without me knowing of me standing when I was topless because she thought it was funny (she was the only person from the texas half of the family on the trip). She also snapped another picture I knew she was taking when I was laying on my stomach and thought I was covered (apparently one nipple was barely showing). She then shared both of these photos on snapchat with a friend because she thought it was funny. Somehow, some way, one of my students saw it, and showed his mom. I've been suspended while they review the case, and I think this may be heading toward being fired. Am I being paranoid? Or is that accurate? Is that fair? I was in the carribean, on a french island, with french family, acting french. I wasn't doing anything sexual or crazy. Meanwhile I didn't even know one picture existed, nor that the other one had anything private in it. And I didn't distribute either photo. ??? Its worth adding I'm not convinced I'm totally recognizable in either photo. The one from a distance my head is turned (and it is from a distance). The one up close I have big sunglasses on. |

It s for numerous reasons too much to type in here. I m not going my separate way just because I feel they were the only ones in the wrong because I was wrong a lot too and made some poor decisions and wasn t happy with the way acting during a rough time I felt really really awful about a lot of things so a year ago I wanted to go my separate way. The problem is that while we were having sex, he took photos of it. and i didn't want him to take them but he convinced me. After we finished having sex i asked him to delete them and he said "don't you trust me?" and "i won't even tell anyone that they exist". i believed him and he kept them. a few days later at school he showed some of my closest friends and when i found out, i made him promise to delete them and he told me he had. But about 2 weeks ago we had an argument and since then he's shown everyone that he's spoken to and everybody knows. i saw a big group of people crowding around his phone and laughing at them. People look at me funny in lessons. I feel so disgusting and sick when i think of it. They also both have the same last name. I know they're not sisters since they live in different houses and are the same age, but they could be otherwise related like cousins or something?? I mean, they both do have the same color hair (features not so much though). I just feel like it'd be kind of awkward to ask now since we've known eachother for a really long time and it's probably something I should know. I can't really ask any other friends either. And it left me feeling awful and heartbroken and upset, like nothing could be fixed, and I don't even think we CAN fix things anymore. Me and her are also big Game Grumps fans, and collaborated on a lot of stuff together for fun like art and fanfics and just talking about them. Now that she's gone, I feel this gapping hole whenever I sometimes watch GG, or like my brain/heart think I should stop them all together. But here's the thing, I love Game Grumps too much to want to just toss it away. I made more friends there than I ever had, I'm doing well art wise and they make me laugh and smile when everything sucks. What do I do to move on from her, and still be happy in the thing that kinda brought us together even if she's gone? |

I have absolutely no one to talk to now, I walk the halls alone, I sit alone at lunch and in class when we have to pick partners, I feel so embarrassed because I never have a partner and either have to work with the teacher or be put in a group of people I don't know. I really want to socialize but I feel like everyone hates me, I try so hard to make friends but it feels pointless. Also this girl in my last period class is so rude to me for no reason, whenever the teacher puts me in a group with her she says stuff like "HER? Of all people you can put me with?" I don't understand what I did. I'm a nice person generally and everything, what can I do to change this situatian? |

We've been best friends for two years.He was probably my closest friend in college and we could discuss everything and anything. The problem is that we both have very huge egos and would never be the first to break the silence. One day, he randomly decided not to talk to me and now it has been five weeks and it is driving me mad. We have A LOT of mutual friends (same friend group) so I know that he is completely normal with other people. We also work at the same place so it's extremely awkward when he completely ignores me but acts normal with other colleagues. Everyone has noticed since we were practically inseparable. For anyone who suggests that he may have feelings for me, that is out of question. That is off the table. He does not like me and I know that for a fact. After he stopped talking to me, I did swallow my ego once after a lot of self counselling and I asked him to meet me and also asked him why he isn't talking to me but he ever replied. I just don't know what to do. The worse part isn't that he isn't talking to me. It's that I don't know why he isn't talking to me. I need some closure too. Help please |

Am i being an asshole or is it okay for me to be real pissed off about this? it s kinda ruined my life because i know she s gonna tell everyone eventually. So my girlfriend and I (dating 6 months now) met through my 3 best friends. She had established friendships with my best friends for years before we met and started getting to know each other because i was living in a different city back then. Our friends were the ones that actually pushed us together. But turns out there were underlying issues with their friendships that has now started surfacing about the time we started dating. There have been fights between them and its basically come to a point now where she hates them and wants to cut all ties with them but we are still dating and they are still my best friends, so it makes it such a tense situation for me because i cant keep them seperate forever and i feel one day im going to have to choose. it bacisally boils down to expectations in the friendship, both parties have different expectations and neither party is delivering so there's only resentment left now. Any advice?. is it possible for me to keep my friends and my girlfriend if they never sort this out. |

I was smoking weed from time to time, but never really had interest to smoke it more. I was smoking with some friends, not realizing that there are a lot of snitches around me. Yesterday my dad made me pee in a bottle and did a weed and ecstasy test on my piss. The weed test turned positive and now i m grounded, and i mean like seriously grounded. I can t use my phone, computer (I m using my school computer right now), i can t go out with friends, and worst of all he banned me from seeing any of the friends the snitch told him about. In a few hours i m going home and he is waiting for an "explanation", he wants me to tell him the hole story (He knows it all), and worst part he wants me to be a snitch and telll him who is the dealer (Worst part... I don t know the dealer, my friend bought it for me). Any of you have any advice that could help me? And if u have a fun story getting caught smoking weed please share it, i think it will make me feel better. |

So My friend buys the same clothes as me or wears clothes very similar to mine and we basically own the same shoes. She copies the way I speak and the way I do things. I'm naturally a quiet and shy person but can act confident if I want to. I never know what to say to people and I've tried to work on this my whole life. Even since I was little during pre school I would be the only kid left out with no friends, and then later in school I would initially have some friends but would soon ask me 'why do you never talk?' And thereafter I would be alone again. Later on in high school I only had one friend who admitted to me that she only initially started talking to me because she had no one else. I would consider her my best friend but she LOVES to talk and barely realises that I don't say much. It's kind of one sided. She does know I'm very awkward and shy but is the only person as far that has stayed despite this. Even the majority of my closest family members I can't talk to. I've tried to think of everything under the sun to say during normal conversations and I only end up rambling on with nothing interesting to say. The only person I have ever felt like I can comfortably talk about anything to was my boyfriend but even he would tell me all I do is talk a lot of crap. I get really jealous when I see girls who have large groups of friends, I feel like if I had that I wouldn't feel so bad all the time and it would distract me from my depression. Why am I like this? I feel like there s been so much pressure placed on 21st birthdays, and mine is just going to be miserable. It is over spring break, but no one wanted to go on a spring break vacation with me (even though we live on the beach). A majority of my friends are all going on a road trip, and I guess they just forgot about me because no one invited me. Its too expensive for me to fly home to spend it with my family, so I just don t know what to do. My boyfriend has to work on my birthday, but he said I could stay at his house for the week, so I don t have to stay in my dorm room all alone. I had a small group of friends, mostly from the Bowling Team and Band. Most of the "in-crowd" ignored me. One was a total douche bag. Among other things he called me a Rent A Kid. My senior year they had a huge bulletin board where everyone was going to go after high school. I was going to enlist in the Air Force, so it had my name and "US Air Force." and someone wrote next to it "Won't make it a week in boot camp.", I don't know for sure, but I will bet money that it was this guy. Most people ignore me but not him. Okay so 1 1/2 years later, one of my friends was going through where I'm stationed over the weekend and we had dinner together and he took a selfie of us and posted it on Facebook. Some of mutual friends commented on it and it must have ended up in this guy's feed because he commented: Thanks for your service, Alex. Sorry for being a jerk to you in hs. You've earned my respect. The next day he friend requested me. Is this guy for real or is he just trying to make himself look good to all his friends who will see his comment? I haven't taken any action on his friend request. Also **IF** (huge if in my book) he IS being sincere, then what does it mean that he was sorry he was a jerk, but now I've earned his respect. Does that mean that he wouldn't be sorry if I went to college or got a civilian job, but because I'm doing something he considers bad-a$$ he's now sorry he was a jerk to me? |

We'll be really close & hang out often, then after a few months she'll go off the map and always be with other people. This has left me confused, but I've noticed the pattern and it doesnt surprise me anymore. She always seems to come back when I'm not waiting around trying to make plans with her & have gotten close to other people. We have a ton of fun together & have been friends for years, but it seems shes taking our friendship for granted and thinks I'll be available whenever she feels like getting in contact.
