Now we barely talk, but every time I thought he ghosted, he randomly texts me and disappear again for 2-3 days. But the strange thing is when he texts me he doesn't actually make it seems like he wants sex or anything like that. It's usually a bunch of excuses, and apologies for not having time to talk to me, or see me. I tried to get him to tell me what's going on so I could understand, but he's not saying anything. He got kids, and I NEVER tried to make him feel like I need attention, I put his kids first. But They don't even live with him, and when he has them for a weekend he would always tell me, and I wouldn't bother him so he can spend time with them. so what's the problem? What is it he feels like he needs to hold onto that makes him keep trying? When it clearly ain't gonna work. I wanna stop whatever we got going on right now, but I really like him and can't find the right words to tell him. Some of my friends think I should let go, some say keep trying to talk to him. It has been a FWB type situation but we probably only hangout once a year..we talk almost weekly if not everyday. This has been consistent unless we are in relationships with other people. But we always find ourselves back talking. I don't feel like we are friends...but there is something there even though for the past 4 years he has lived on the other side of the country. So I recently told him that if he wanted me all he had to do is say the word...he said we should take a trip together in March and we picked a place but is dragging his feet on finalizing plans. I think if the plans fall through I'm going to tell him "it's been nice knowing you" because at this point I really like this guy...and have for 10 years. |

I had broken her trust before over a year ago; she said she had moved on from that, but I doubt she actually had. We were in secret because she is not out of the closet. A lot of people have suspicion that she is gay, but I try my best to dispel those rumors. I was talking to someone at lunch and they brought up the suspicion that she (the girl I was dating) was in a relationship her best friend. We were whispering about it, but I vocally shut her down. Another girl told the girl that I was dating that I am the one who started the rumor, but I was not at all. She got super pissed off at me because it was one of her trusted close friends that told her that. I tried to tell her that it was the lunch girl, but she told me that she did not trust me. At this point I've done pretty much everything I can to convince her but she does not believe me still. I feel terrible because after breaking her trust some time ago, I tried really hard to show her that I had changed and then this happens. I talked to the girl that told her and she admitted that I was not the one who started the rumor. What should I do? Would she ever like me again if she knew the truth? |

We have had some moments in the past (cuddling, we kissed, etc.). We never talked to one another about the things that happened between us. I understand that I take the blame for this one. That I should have said something sooner. But pretty much what she said on response to my confession was that she could not get mixed up in a relationship right now. With school going on and us both being seniors with college applications (plus she is leaving for college), she says she does not want a relationship. And I mean it is a completely valid reason and I understand. She said she still enjoys hanging out, but from my perspective I know in reality it was just her trying to not hurt my feelings. That she has probably lost interest and does not want to be in a relationship with me, just someone who is not me. I know I should have done something sooner. I know it is my fault and I should move on. But I don't know, it sucks. It is hard and I do not really want to. I want to keep holding on to the chance that she might change her mind, even though I know this is not a romance movie and is real life. So idk, any help. It's been about 6 months. We are in our mid to late 30s and I'd like to have kids/family, but I don't know their stance on it. Honestly I am tired of the distance. Tired of phone calls and FaceTime. I'm ready for the real thing. In my mind, we are at the point where we need to figure out who is moving where and if that doesn't work out, then I'm ready to end it immediately. The last time we discussed relocating, they said they were unwilling to move, and they want to stay near their parents and siblings. I am open to moving, but I don't want to live in their region.
