Question: Why do I smile for no reason sometimes? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 05:33 PM PST My friend, who I ll call Moa, sent me a message on a social media saying "this chicken is almost as juicy as me" and I suddenly smiled a little bit for no reason. This never really happened. Is this me blushing or nah? Thanks. A few corrections, now. *Why did I smile for no reason? Also, I felt a bit of warmness when I saw it. So it might be that or just my face and feelings being weird. Or just my bad humor. |
Question: Is it wrong to kiss your best friend? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 04:41 PM PST I was over at my friends house and I fell asleep in his bed. When I woke up he was downstairs making dinner and I walked up behind him and put my arms around his waist. He turned his head and we locked eyes then we started kissing. We only kissed for like two minutes. I teased him afterwards I asked him why he did not have a girlfriend. He did his shy look and flicked a half cooked pea pod at me. |
Posted: 18 Dec 2018 04:20 PM PST So I'm a 15 year old girl and I came out to my best friend a little while ago. Everything has been fine until two days ago. She apparently "slipped" to my friend, and my ex best friend. As if that wasn't bad enough, my friend, thinking our other friend knew, told him. He then texted me "i know your secret". He denied he knew anything but I found out today that he knows too. I'm really overwhelmed and unsure what to do. I have two separate friends who already knew and helped me through today. One of them is very angry and wants to say something but I don't know what to do. She's encouraging me to talk to everyone involved but I don't think it's a good idea. I'm a little afraid of what's going to happen but I'm staying calm because I know being angry won''t get me anywhere. Thanks in advance. |
Question: Is it wrong that my friend quit the warehouse? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 04:01 PM PST My friend told me she quit the warehouse job because it was unorganized. She said they lack equipment, bins and boxes are unorganized and thrown all over the place. The supervisors don't seem to know anything whenever she asks questions or have the attitude that you are bugging them. One time she told me she was doing put aways. There were lotion containers thrown in a box bin and when she filled the rest some fell out and the box it was in was damaged. She even told me that the workers there are not very helpful and are very rude. I felt bad for her. I told her do what is best for her and as her friend Im here to listen. Was she wrong for quitting? Please no rude comments. Thank you |
Question: Why is my friend always late and unhappy at my parties? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 03:59 PM PST My friend and I met 2 years ago through a meetup group she created. She is generally a very sweet person and fun to be around, but can be very picky and uncompromising. When she hosts (such as a Housewarming or Friendsgiving) she is pumped up and in a great mood. I look forward to her events and show up on time or only slightly late and help out and enjoy myself. However, for every party I have hosted, she always shows up 2-3 hours late and shows up tired/sad and generally with a bad attitude. This has happened about 5 or 6 times. 2 times she was especially rude: 1) I spent all day cooking a bunch of foods for a party (which I catered specifically to her dietary choices). When she arrived she looked at my table and said "I think I am going to order a pizza" 2) For my white elephant/Holiday party she got the gift she wanted stolen from her and got upset and said she didn't need a gift then because she didn't like/need anything else. I used to make excuses for her in my mind… she's busy with work, maybe something bad happened before, etc. but I realize it is a pattern only for events I host and I am starting to take it personally. |

Question: Am i at fault? Or am i doing all that i can to ensure we're on the same page? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 03:00 PM PST My girlfriend expressed to me in a frustrating manner that things we/she plan never go through because of me/the decision i make/so forth. For example, if we have something planned the following day, and a friend or someone wants to hang out, i relay the message to my girlfriend asking her, ' hey, so and so wants to hang out for a bit, did you wanna hang out?" She typically agrees and we hang out with our friend for about 1-1.5 hours. In a specific scenario, after we were done hanging out with our friend, i suggested to eat Del Taco because it's her favorite place to eat fast food cause it's the healthiest, but we ended up going to another place cause it was closer. By the time we were done eating and hanging out it was close or past 4am. If i know i need to be somewhere, whether those plans are solely my own or as a couple, i will wake up and do whatever is necessary even if it's sleeping 2-3 hours. However, i was in trouble for wanting to do this and do that with our friend and hanging out takes a long time and so on and so forth. I communicated to agree mutually if hanging out was an option and i was replied with a yes, so why am i in trouble? This was pertaining to get gas and stuff like that, so i even offered to go get gas with her the initial day she needed to get gas, but that never happened. We always take my car when we go places, so that's how i got gas, but i swear when we got home that day i offered to go get gas and come home really quick cause it was cold. |

Question: How can I have my friends accept my significant other? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 02:30 PM PST My friends hate them because they are non-binary. It started when I went to a dance with them and my friends came up to me when I was alone and were like "oh my god! Is this the girlfriend you talk about all the time?" And I said well... kinda but they're not a girl. Then I had to go into this whole thing about how they're non-binary. Then they were saying things like that's really weird and why are you dating this person and there's no such thing as non-binary and they're just looking for attention. I got really pissed and just walked away. I probably should just go find new friends, but I've known these people my whole life. But I'm getting so sick of them. I want them to see how good of a person they are. They treat me great and I don't understand why them being non-binary is such a problem. |
Question: Help me with this situation? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 01:16 PM PST So the situation already past, but I'm just trying to see what I could have done differently. I think with what you know and what I know, we could come up with a better solution, but mostly relying on what you know. So there was a guy who needed a favor, so my buddy helped him, but he didn't fully address what the guy needed. So I got myself involved, which probably wasn't the brightest thing I could have done on my part. Since I could have just left him unsatisfied to begin with, since he was already unsatisfied, I could have remained uninvolved. So I pull a lot of strings, like I mean go way out of my way because I wanted to make sure he was good. My buddy was like you're making me look bad. I was like I didn't expect you to go out of your way to help him. But I really found it in my heart to help this guy. So here I am pulling a ridiculous amount of strings to help this guy out. And my buddy and I both knew thats exactly what the guy needed, so it was all done, but the guy still wasn't satisfied. So he goes behind my buddy's back and behind my back, and he goes to the 3rd party. And I felt so disrespected because I went through all the effort to help this guy out, and he completely disregards what Ive done for him, and he goes his own way. That's just totally messed up. But now Im thinking its his right to do it, but some people are never satisfied. @anon anything you can answer is helpful tbh. and it's not a matter of clairvoyance it's a matter of clair sentience @NONAME nope not talking about sex or drugs. Just don't feel like adding details as they shouldn't matter, if you know how to answer a question. |
Question: Am i being a toxic friend? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 12:34 PM PST so my friend since elementary recently went to high school together, since we both went to different middle schools. although we separated we still would text every single night either about stupid **** or venting. since a lot of people from my middle school who i know are going to our high school and only few people from her middle school are going to our high school she s recently started to make many many friends. she s gotten so well-known in under 3 months of school and became friends with more people from my middle school than i ever had. she s so social and i guess grew the "well-known" persona, yet i m here still struggling to make friends. i guess you could say i m "jealous" of her and how she has gotten so close with people already. she already has 3 friend squads or whatever and already has a boyfriend lmaoaoaoao so i don t know how to feel. she wants to talk and walk with me to classes but she always has a friend that comes up to her and start their own subsided convo. whenever i m next to her or in class with her, i always feel so lonely compared to her and constantly compare myself to her a lot. whenever i m not in a class with her i feel way more open and less worried about my friend count. she s made so many friends although she was once quiet and lonely at the beginning of the year. i m happy to see she made new friends but i m also jealous of how much she grew without me. am i a bad friend? |

Question: The only asian at my school? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 12:06 PM PST My family just recently move to a new town where most of the population are Hispanic/white. My two siblings and I are the only asian at school. My last school had a majority of asian minority and I feel like I don't belong to here at all. There's no one to talk to or relate about my culture (Lunar New Year, asian food, Kpop/drama, etc.). When I bring my asian food from home as lunch, people look at me weird. I feel like I just can't relate to anyone even though I try to make friends by doing clubs, joining marching band, try to learn about their culture, and all that. The students there at school doesn't even bother to know my name. They just call me "the asian girl" since I'm the only asian in my grade. My two little sibling feel uncomfortable since they don't have their old friends back at home and have hard times making friends. At my last town, there's a little neighborhood called "the Vietnamese village" and I lived there for so long with all my other asian friend. We even have CCD there just for Vietnamese kids so they could learn their culture and religion. Now I'm over here I miss all my asian friends that I can talk and relate to and I miss my favorite advance class full of friends that I talk too. I usually Facetime my friends over there once a week to keep in touch which is kind of nice and would visit back there when it's Vietnamese New Year. How can I survive my last two year of high school? I took a little bit of spanish last year and my old friends also taught me some bad worss in spanish. I wpuld hear some people talk about me in spanish and swearing. I heard some girls calling me a "chink" behind my back sayong I don't belong here at all. I can't stand tgis school at all and I miss my old town. I just want to move back, but I know I can't. My family moved to this town to be closer to my grandma who has been at the hosiptal for months. |

Question: Is it true that friends are a necessity? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 06:25 AM PST If the answer is yes, I feel like I'm out of luck. I'm a 25 year old female with a few female associates, but no friends. They aren't interested in a friendship with me. I had a horrible experience with a women's only dance studio that had a few girls who were cliquey & catty. Some of the instructors were super sweet to the women who they wanted to associate with, but were dismissive & cliquey towards the ones they weren't too fond of. I was even blocked by two women I barely spoke to. I only made 4 associates, but no friends. I'm not going to lie, the whole experience has made me even more insecure about who I am because it seems to me that I'm good at getting so much hate without that much provocation (& whether I deserve it or not). I was always the social outcast due to my bad social skills growing up & I'm still insecure from that. Plus, it's harder to make friends the older you get. Am I really out of luck? |
Question: How to politely tell friend to stop ripping thing out of hands? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 06:10 AM PST she always takes my favorite things and phone without asking. |
Question: Do you think he doesn’t like me? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 06:09 AM PST I'm pretty sure he found me creepy. When I first met him I came off as the creepy girl who knew his name and said hi out of nowhere, I know cause he told someone close to him. Then he started being friendlier to me because we have mutual friends... until we graduated. He followed my Instagram music channel. Then unfollowed it, but still follows my real account. I know who he likes, this really nice prefix girl and this hot girl (a mutual friend who I can't stand)he would constantly approach at school. With me he avoided me whenever I tried to get close, well I feel like it . I think I turned him off real bad when he asked if the seat next to me at a school play was empty when my face just went bright red instead of answering a simple yes or no. A day ago I wanted his attention so I grew some balls and sent him a random blank pic then told him it was an accident. He told me it was okay. I was hoping for further conversation but nothing lol. What I want to know so bad is what he's doing and is he single, but I would be so creepy if I message Okay I barely even know him and we've only ever said hi's and random small talk. No contact in a year now and I still go head over heels whenever Clarence views my social media stories. I'm such a loser 😂. I should get over this infatuation huh? I just like his face and I'm bored that's all? Is it best to move on. I remember trying to walk up to him a few times and his body movement would move another way 😂 |

Question: Why do people hate me? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 04:27 AM PST People just always insult me whenever they can. I get kicked out of bars for being ugly. I have 3 fb friends. Im single all my life. My peers have it all, friends, family, love, popularity. Society treats me like a insect...but why? |
Question: Online friend advice? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 03:06 AM PST I have an online friend who's been through a lot of hurt this year and I've done my best to be a good friend and be there for them. But they unfriended everyone in our friend group because of something that happened with a girl he used to date and he refuses to face his problems and just talk things through with everyone. So should we give him his space for a while or do I try to contact him and maybe help him to make amends with everyone? I just miss him a lot and I don't know if he'll ever speak to me again. |
Question: Was my "friend" just using me as a ride? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 02:24 AM PST So I met this guy at work and we quickly became good friends but he didn't have a car. We started hanging out I would always drive. I thought we were having a good time. We went to concerts and parties and all kinds of stuff. He always made sure to buy my gas. Well then he got a car and he started driving to where ever we were going. We did that about 6 times. And he canceled one day on a concert that I bought tickets to. And we haven't hung out since. Was he just using me? We have know each other for about a year and a half. And considered him to be my best friend. |

Question: Why doesn’t my mom want me to hang out with this girl anymore? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 01:14 AM PST There's this girl I've been friends with for awhile. I introduced her to my mom recently. My mom's first impression of her, she didn't like her right away. She could tell she likes boys. My mom is right about that. My friend is a guy chaser and has slept with every guy she's been with. She's been in lots and lots of short term relationships. What's wrong with that? |
Question: Where do you meet a best friend? Posted: 18 Dec 2018 12:49 AM PST I don't have any friends. I've never truly had a best friend. I'm 21 and when i was younger people would always talk about their bestie and I would feel left out. I still feel left out. Everyone always talks about their bestie and how they met them at 3. But I can't relate. |

Posted: 18 Dec 2018 12:32 AM PST Suicide is a possibility. Murder, even. If it had been a car accident, I think that would have been easily available. If she had AIDS or something that people sometimes find embarrassing or personal, I still think I would have known. It's now been over a year. Not knowing is very sad for me. |
Question: Am I a toxic person for being this way? Posted: 17 Dec 2018 09:35 PM PST My problem is that I am jealous of this girl who I don't even personally know. Im islander so back where were from we have villages instead of towns. And the village that my family comes from, is the same village that her ancestors ruled. Its hereditary so the line has and will always stay with her family. That means her too.. I know it's nothing bcuz we live in the 21st century now but let me explain. She's freaking beautiful even w/out makeup. For me and every other girl I know who's from the village, most of us wear makeup and still don't look as good as her. Its just hard to feel like you're not as special as someone else because you can't compare to them. Especially when they're basically like royalty where you're from. Adding on to that, her bf is military so she's not dating just any guy. She's "up there" in her love life too. And he treats her like an f-ing queen, always sending her expensive and pretty things while he's on deployment. She has everything.. and she's so sweet and shy which makes me hate it even more bcuz people love that about her. I barely know her.. I just see her around but thanks to the family she comes from, everyone knows her. And everyone loves her because of her beauty. I hate that.. Id love if everything could be taken from her so she can see how i feel |
Question: Ex is angry I slept with his friend? Posted: 17 Dec 2018 09:20 PM PST We were together for 2.5 years and he broke up with me senior year of college a year ago. He was doing an internship while taking 5 classes and our relationship was too much for him to handle. I didn't take it very well and we had no contact since then. I've been talking to his friend since September but nothing serious. We met up this past Friday and hooked up. My ex somehow found out and I woke up to his text this morning. His other friends were also with us at the bar. Maybe they told him? I don't understand why he is so mad since it was his decision to leave me? Below is the text: "Very classy of you to sleep with my friend knowing how close we are. I know we didn't end on good terms, but how could you do that? I thought I could at least trust you. Seems like I made the right decision a year ago. I regretted it to this day but you just showed your true colors." |

Question: Did she embarrass him in front of his friends? Posted: 17 Dec 2018 08:10 PM PST My younger sister is a sophomore in high school. Everyone at her lunch table was on a field trip today, so she sat by herself. Near the end, a blonde-haired girl who sat nearly back-to-back to her tapped on the shoulder. After my sister turned around, the blonde asked her if she'd like to sit at their table. My sister accepted. After she sat in the empty seat next to the blonde, she asked her for her name. After my sister said, "Lauren," the blonde told her that her name was Sara and then introduced the other students at her table. Sara & Lauren talked, such as what classes Lauren takes. It was brought up how one of the kids at the table, Mark, was in Lauren's math class. Sara asked Lauren what math class she & Mark were in because he would never tell them. After Lauren answered, "Fundamentals of Geometry," everyone burst out laughing except for Mark. "That's funny 'cuz he's a senior," Sara said to Lauren. Lauren showed me his reaction. How I'd describe it is looking sad jokingly, putting his head down, burying his face in crossed arms. How Lauren describes Mark is someone who's a class clown & uninhibited. After that event and before she told me all about it, she kinda thought about it. Now she's wondering if she embarrassed that senior guy in front of his friends. If she did, she feels bad since he's not a mean kid. Did Lauren embarrass Mark? To be more clear, my sister wasn't laughing either. |

Question: Should i give her space?????? Posted: 17 Dec 2018 07:03 PM PST Hey guys, im in a weird situation at work. Im a guy and Im friends with this girl Sabrina at work, and we have known eachother for a year. We are very professional but alot of coworkers are bothered by us being friends and its causing alot of drama. Im 23 and shes 34 plus shes married. I only see her as a good friend and we enjoy our company at work. coworkers think thats weird since we always laugh and talk. There was a report sent to my supervisor by another coworker saying i spend my whole entire shift talking to Sabrina at her desk (when thats not True) I had a few meetings with management and they told me i need to back away from Sabrina because its causing conflict. They dont want me talking to her unless im saying Hi or Bye. Sabrina was helping me to not get into trouble anymore. she told me she has my back but she doesn't want to see me get in trouble anymore because of her. I even told her i wasn't allowed to talk to her anymore at work. So when i saw her Last week on monday she didn't say anything, she just waved at me and we cant passing by eachother without saying anything. On Facebook she told me that management wanted to talk to her for the first time, Soo after her meeting i noticed she deleted me from her facebook. My friend told me she was talking to Sabrina and sabrina was upset because management asked her " why do you talk to a 24 year old when your married.".....she was upset by it. She was a cool friend with a good personality. And i dont wanna loose her friendship. Any advice please |
