Long story short, me and my mom and sister had an argument tonight and my dad of course took their side. He called me into his room and basically said: - "I'll kill you" - "You have no idea what I'm capable of" - Made hand motions indicating he'd beat me up - "You think I'm joking" - "You watch what will happen to you" He's always emotionally abusive. He'll scream and shout for no reason and is extremely controlling. My mom always asks who I'm talking to and denies me space to breathe. She's always going on about my education and is driving me insane. On top of this, there's no escape. I've never left my house without my mother or sister with me (apart from going to school). I'm fifteen by the way and I've never been out with friends, over at their house or slept over. I feel sick and can't breathe. I want to be removed from this house. I want to tell the school councillor tomorrow but I feel like they'll investigate and then send me back to my family and THEN I'LL GET IT. Either my dad will kill me or I'll end up killing myself. Could I please be removed from this house and get fostered, please? I want out and I'm done with them forever. Please tell me I'll have to stay with them if the councillor finds no issue.

She keeps saying she wants to drive again, be able just to get out the house fast without any problem. I live with my aunt, uncle, and cousins because my mom passed away years ago. My uncle says he only took my siblings and I in because he and my mom were arguing before she died. My siblings are over the age of 18 now, they still live here. My uncle gets angry all the time and yells a lot. My sister and I are the ones that have to do the cleaning (the kitchen, living room, the basement). Their own kids who are a bit younger than me, don't do anything at all and my aunt and uncle don't make them do anything. I'm so tired of being here with them. I go to an online school so I'm almost always at home. I have at least three years left here with them.

I don't want to share my exact age, but it's in the 13-16 range. My parents split after I was very young, because my dad would abuse my mother in front of us, and I am stuck with my mother and one sibling. My mother has this issue of randomly getting angry and resorting to violence with my younger (developmentally disabled) sibling, and she's done it since we were very young. I often seek refuge at with grandparents (her parents), because they are sane and a voice of reason amidst the chaos. Recently, my mother claims they're stealing me from her, and she gets mad whenever my grandmother gives me a ride somewhere or something. She continues to try and convince me that my grandmother is the enemy and mentally ill. My mother has never bought me an outfit in my life. It has always been my grandmother. My grandmother also pays for my phone, and she bought my entire bed set. And all of my school supplies. My grandma was able to privately speak to me, in tears, and said as much as it breaks her heart, she can't see my brother and I anymore because it's killing her and my grandfather, what my mother is saying and doing to them and accusing them of. So I've lost the only grandparents I have. Whenever I ask to see them, my mother screams at me and calls me names and says "they won" and will sometimes hit me if it resorts to that. Anyway lol, is this abuse or am I overreacting? I've been googling what abuse is and I can't really pin anything to me specificAny idea if it is?

Ok this might be long but my older brother has always been jealous of me we are grown adults now I am a female I can guess why he is I am the youngest sibling he probably feels I took his place or I get spoiled more when really our mom treats us both the same the only thing I can think of is we spend time together shopping stuff like that maybe that's it? I will never know for sure I just want help reducing this issue I know he has tried not to be cause he has gotten better as he started to get a long with me at least but he still tries to call me out on things to get me into trouble but my mom knows me very well it's always been this way but used to be way worse when I was a kid and had no control over anything. I am divorced but I am still friends with my ex husband. When we were married he worked and put me through college. My ex husband used his contacts in business to find me the ideal job when I graduated from college. I did well in that job and got promoted several times. I recently received an inheritance and I felt a moral obligation to repay my ex husband some of the money he spent on putting me through college. I gave my former husband $50,000 from my inheritance. He did not want to take it but I insisted. Then something happened that just blew me away. I got a letter that my condo mortgage of $50,000 had been paid in full. I could not figure out how that happened until I remembered that my ex husband was still on the mortgage. The bank told me he came in with a cashiers check for $50,000 and paid off my mortgage. Now I have a house free and clear. My single girlfriends that I told about this wanted to know if I would be upset if they dated him. They said he sounds like a GREAT GUY and they can not understand why I had divorced him. I am now giving a lot of thought of trying to get back together with him. I think I made a BIG mistake divorcing him. I was very young when we divorced. I am MUCH more mature now. What do you think of my odds of getting back with him.

well im a 20 year old dude and ive had this dream I wanted to follow for years. I finally took the main move I had to to start my dream in motion. I want to move from my medium sized town in WV to a town in either CO or Utah. We have took trips out there to visit family/sight see and I completely fell in love with the scenery. I feel like the main reason they, primarily my dad, doesnt want me to is because I love weed about as much as I love the scenery out west and my dad has always been completely against my smoking. He thinks stoners are just lazy bums, but im a productive stoner when I smoke. Im literally the only person in my whole family that smokes weed and they're successful in their lines of work with my dad working as a supervisor and a lab technician to my mom who has building that a popular restaurant has rented from my family for 20 years. Ive got a financial plan set up which I fully believe will work because ive learned financial stuff because of the restaurant. I just dont know why they dont want me to follow my dreams and do what actually would make me happy in life. I always thought parents were supposed to support their kids goals. I feel like a part of my soul has died since ive quit smoking over two months ago to get my dream in motion. I dont think about my pain in my leg from an accident years ago. I refuse to take prescription drugs when I know there's a natural fix for me. Im determined to prove to them there are productive stoners.

My sister and her four kids moved in and Her kids have trouble sharing. My daughter used to always shares everything but when it came down to them they would say "that's my toy" and snatch it from her meanwhile we have welcomed her and her kids into this home and let them play with everything as they please. Part of me understood that they came here with no toys so I let it go. But now my daughter has been asking why she always has to share everything but they don't do the same. I said it was nice to share and she continued sharing but now she's gotten fed up and doesn't like to share as much. Now my sister is noticing my daughter not wanting to share and saying "it's my toy" and it's bothering her. Part of me hates that my daughter has become that way but also my sister doesn't do anything to stop her kids from being stingy. I've just been telling my daughter share if you want to or don't if you don't want to and that has bothered my sister. My daughters toys are in a bin for everyone to play with but they have their toys in little cubicles and get mad when she touches their toys and snatch it away. I don't know what to do because my sister is starting to get mad about my daughters attitude but i also don't want to force my daughter to share when her cousins aren't sharing with her. It's causing tension between my sister and I.

Today I had a family get together. I'm 18 and so is my cousin. We used to be close when we were young but he just stopped talking to me as we got older. Ever since my younger sister has been having troubles with her anxiety my parents haven't been as invested in me. I don't want to sound insensitive or entitled. So I just got home from college. College was really awesome and I really had a lot of great adventures. I tell my dad a good experience about how my friend was nice enough to get me into a movie for free as part of his employee discount. My dad suddenly misunderstands what I mean and gets mad thinking my friend "snuck me in without permission". He also says I shouldn't be hanging with him because he is a bad influence. I tried to clear it up with him but than he snaps at me saying "not now" and that he doesn't want to hear anymore. My mom just tried to walk into my room, but I had the door locked. It wasn't because I wanted privacy or because I was doing anything bad; But because normally when i go to the bathroom, I lock the door. And the door to the bathroom is the same as my room. He only lies if it is to family. Outside family he is honest but frequently lies to family. He did not file taxes for 7 years which my Mom says is a crime. Is it? Is my Dad a criminal and a liar? Sometimes my 1 yr old shows compassion by giving my 5 month old the pacifier or her teddy bear other times he takes it out her mouth and runs or refuses to give the teddy bear back. Hes still a bit upset he has to share the spotlight but i can tell he's getting more use to her presence.
