Question: Does this make sense? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 05:42 PM PST The guy I like, his best friend and I always got along. There's no issues. There's a girl who is really jealous I like him, she is literally obsessed with him. SHe got onto his Facebook account, twitter account, Instagram account and blocked me. I received these strange messages from his best friend Facebook account, she even blocked me from his best friend account, telling me the guy doesn't like me (which I have proof he does) get over him. But every time I see his best friend he's very friendly to me, the guy i like is very friendly and flirty with me. They both act like they don't have a problem with me. His best friend is gay btw. When she blocked me from his Facebook account the guy still gave me flirty attention. There was one time, I was blocked from his best friend Facebook account, then I was unblocked on the same day, 2 weeks later I received one of those strange messages on his account, then blocked me again. I didn't say anything to him it was out of the blue. Every time I see him in person his best friend and the guy I like want me around. His best friend aunt even followed me on Instagram. Does this make any sense? |
Question: How can I be friends with someone that is extroverted/semi-popular? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 05:35 PM PST To be honest, I have little friends that actually talk to me. In High school, I did no club events, nor went out to prom etc. Now I am a freshman in college, I am searching for friends that are semi social and can take me out to fun events. However, I am scared that they might consider me BORING if I mention something like: I haven't watched any of the avengers movies, or I don't go to drink BOBA every weekend, or I dont go out to eat that often and don't know that many cool restaurant places, or my limited number of snaps on my snapchat. How can I open up to them in a way that they can accept me. |
Posted: 10 Dec 2018 05:29 PM PST So I'm the kind of person in hs where I have about two really good friends and that's it. I have others I hangout with but I don't consider myself to be close with. Well one of my x boyfriends started spreading rumors about me that him and I are hooking up (we aren't I haven't even seen him in months) and all my "friends" believe him and are calling me a slut and shunning me. I'm now getting harassed in school by them and my real friends didn't even defend me when the others accused me... please tell me I'm not the only who who's experienced something like this? If so, what do I do??? |
Question: How do I breakup before he proposes? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 05:10 PM PST We've been together for almost 7 years now but lately I feel like I've fallen out of love. We started dating in high school, graduated college together and experienced many other milestones as a couple. In January, I'll moving to California for my job and I want to start my life over. I talked about this with one of his friend and he told me that I should do it before this year ends cuz he's planning to propose in New Year's Eve. I know I sound selfish and awful but a relationship isn't my priority anymore. How do I breakup without deeply hurting his feelings, especially, since he did absolutely nothing wrong? He has always loved me more than anything but I just don't think I feel the same way anymore. I'm scared, nervous and don't have the courage to do this when I see him. I also suffer from anxiety which gets in the way and doesn't help. I've been battling this since October. He deserves so much better than me. |
Question: Why must I always be so embarrassed? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 04:39 PM PST I was in class today. Everyone already looks at me funny because I'm indian. And I had to pass gas, I could not hold it in and I pupsed 💩. Everyone said "gross" and made remarks like that. I felt so embarrassed I left. I'm scared to go back. But I need to get an education. What should I do? |
Question: I ended a toxic friendship, but still get messages from his family. What should I do here? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 03:54 PM PST My best friend since 2009 has been constantly putting me and my other friends down. I decided I've had enough and told him I'm cutting contact with him. However, he reached out to me in a nasty manner about his problems with me to which I responded "I don't want to talk about this anymore." Then he had his cousin try to get me to talk to him. What should I do here? I want to be left alone. |
Question: Is it rude to always talk about your dad to someone whose dad died? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 03:12 PM PST I'm 14 and have a close friend the same age as me who unfortunately lost her dad when she was in third grade. So I'm always talking about my dad around her and I always feel kind of bad cause I'm not sure if talking about him makes her feel uncomfortable or sad.. what do you think? |

Question: How do I break up with my best friend? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 02:28 PM PST In the past, I got excited to hang out with my bestie and I was always looking forward to it. However, as time passed some of her ugly traits surfaced and became more intolerable. For example, she would be the sweetest person and then she'd say these discriminating and judgmental things which contradict everything she speaks for. Then, her sweetness just seemed fake to me. Now, I think of hangouts as more of a chore and I have to keep my guard up around this person. It's not the same anymore, and I don't want to burn bridges but I also don't want to disclose any of my life to this friend anymore either. |
Question: Done making friends. How to get used to being alone? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 12:56 PM PST Friends come and go so much in my life, I am tired of starting over with friendships. I'm tired of the same questions: "Are you from around here?" "Do you have siblings?" "What are your hobbies?" etc. I'm just done. I just wish I could have just 1 friend who can stay in my life. I've reached out to so many people within my age group in-person and online, but no one ever stays my friend. I've come to realize my life purpose is to be alone. What are some ways I can accept that fact? "Do you want to accept this faith?" No, but what choice do I have? |
Question: What does this mean? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 12:40 PM PST My friend put her arm around me last night and we're both adults and we're both females and she's a lot older than me so when she put her arm around me and kept it there I put my hand on her leg for a little bit and then I took it away because I thought that was kind of wrong of me that I did that. Was it wrong? And I'm not a lesbian though and my friend has a husband though so I just wanted to add that |
Question: Super anxious planning a conversation in my head. How do I stop? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 12:39 PM PST Can't stop thinking about a friend and planning out a certain conversation in my head. It's driving me insane how do I stop going over the planned conversation in my head again and again and again?? It never ends!! |
Question: How do you get to that stage in a friendship where you’re comfortable with each other? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 10:32 AM PST There's this girl, we want to get to know each other and we're kind of friends but it's still a bit uncomfortable because neither of us are sure of what to say, we don't really know each other's sense of humour and both of us are kinda socially awkward. Help? |
Question: Is it wrong to visit friend at their workplace? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 10:31 AM PST I used to work in a clothing department store near my college. Since now I'm not working there anymore, is it okay if once in a while I visit my former mentor who's my friend now at there? |
Question: Strange thing happening - can’t find my old classmate anywhere? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 10:09 AM PST I went to elementary school with this guy, and our class is having a reunion, however we can't this guy anywhere. We searched for him on all of the social media sites, searched on the people finder websites, and we even went back to our school, and there are no records of him. He's not even in our yearbook, but he was definitely one of our classmates. Isn't this so strange? |
Posted: 10 Dec 2018 08:11 AM PST Last night my friend was with me and we're both adults and we're both females but she's a lot older than me and she asked me if I had a daddy and I just nodded which she already knew I that I have a dad so why would she ask that? No one has ever asked me that before |
Question: How to find out my friends gay? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 07:44 AM PST Me and my friend have been the best of friends for a while now. We constantly talk and hang out and it's great. The twist is I have developed a very large crush on him but i have no idea if he feels the same way. He doesnt know that I'm gay because i'm afraid if i'm completely wrong about this, it will ruin our friendship. We constantly make jokes and remarks such as "blow me" and that sorta thing. I guess i just need advise on how to go about this situation. I don't want to not be freinds over this, but it's killing me. I'm actually falling in love with him. So, what's the best way to find out/go about the situation? |
Question: Why is it so hard to find a true friend? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 05:48 AM PST |
Question: I need help with this? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 05:33 AM PST I have been feeling really overwhelmed with people because i've been going through something for awhile and I'm even feeling overwhelmed with my friend and yesterday she went out of town with me and my family and her and my family go way back and so she was talking to my mom a lot and I could tell she was kinda treating me like a little girl. I'm talking about my friend that was doing that. Even though i'm 26 years old fixing to be 27. I'm special needs but I'm really high functioning and I still get treated like a little girl. It's like I don't know how to act like an adult sometimes and my friend that I am talking about shr's a lot older than me. She's 59 and so I was wondering would it be rude if when my friend texts me first if I don't respond but I wouldn't mean to be rude though. I don't really know what to say to her anyway. Please help |
Question: My father doesn’t seem to understand? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 04:56 AM PST I'm 18 years old and i dropped out of college because when i started going the friend groups had already been made and i couldn't relate to anyone and no one had the same interests. No one in class even had a smartphone, they all had nokia phones still. I couldn't make friends so i never wanted to go to the class but my father doesn't understand this at all. He's saying that I don't go to the college to make friends i should just study and come back home it doesn't matter if i have friends or not. But it's really hard to spend time there alone when i have no one to talk to but my father says it's good that I don't have anyone to talk, that way i can concentrate in class better. It sounds completely dumb to me. He clearly doesn't understand how friendships work and he doesnt Have any friends either so.. idk any opinions? |
Question: Hi so I need advice from another Muslim on what to do here.? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 04:55 AM PST So my sister is in high school and is out all day with her friends and I know that her friends smoke and do bad things. I secretly found in her bag a vape pen and her phone notifications have Uber on it so I don't really know where she's going. She's also been treating my parents horribly and calling them bad names and cursing. She is only nice towards her friends now and occasionally to her family. A few months ago the police came because of a fight that happened and they told us that she needed to go to a therapist or psychologist because of the way she was acting. I don't know what I should do. I was debating on telling her that I'm not speaking to her until she changes or something else. If I talk to her about Islam I feel like she won't listen or not want to talk to me about it. What should I do? |
Question: I am so lonely. How can I make friends? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 02:23 AM PST Hi, I'm 17 and I don't enjoy have any friends. My whole life I always just had one friend at a tone and my best friend and I drifted apart so now I don't know what to do. We'd been friends since elementary school so I don't really know how to make friends on my own. I do have a good friend that I hang out with every Friday but he doesn't talk to me much besides that and we're very good friend but still don't talk about certain things. Also, I do online school so I'm not around people all the time. I chose to do online school for my mental health since it was only getting worse and it helped a lot, but now I'm so lonely. I'm very socially anxious so I seem like he kind of person who wants to be alone all the time but people don't realize how much I value others. I really need to be with people but I don't know how to make it happen. Sorry this is a mess, but thanks for answering. |
Posted: 10 Dec 2018 01:52 AM PST There was one of my former classmates from school who I never liked. She bullied me in elementary and middle school. I hadn't seen her in over 20 years. I was in my hometown recently visiting an old friend. This former classmate that bullied asked me if I went to school with her. I said, "Yep, you bullied me!" I don't like to face someone from my past like that. I'm sure she's moved on and has changed, but still I don't want to face someone that bullied me a long time ago. My dad said I shouldn't have brought that up because it's by gones. That former classmate looked embarrassed and just walked away. Do any of you know why she looked embarrassed and walked away? Since then, she never approached me again when I was her in person again a few days later. She didn't bother looking at me. Did I do something wrong? |
Question: Should I give her this gift? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 11:42 PM PST For Christmas, I wanted to give this really special friend this bracelet with the latitude and longitude of the place where we first met at. We met at a coffee shop and I was so nervous and she still gave me a chance and we've been hanging out since. I actually have a crush on her. She's older than me by more than 15 years. We always text each other and I tend to give her a lot of attention. She says I'm a sweetheart and that I'm cute. So with the gift, I wanted to give her a second part of the gift and give her a shirt that she really liked. I just don't know if I should give her that. |
Question: What was that all about? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 11:11 PM PST An old friend who I haven't spoke to in 3 or 4 years send me an email out of no where saying hi how are you? I replied I'm fine. They said cool. That was the end of the conversation. |

Question: My bsf dumped (ghosted) me, but is suddenly creeping back up in my life? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 08:32 PM PST So we became best friends last year and would talk a lot for hours and days straight. All of a sudden during the summer and the first few months of school, he ghosted me, I was hurt. I tried to talk to him again but got no response or rude remarks back. He was more of a loner before but all of a sudden he started to hang out with a big crowd (I'm also pretty close with them) I noticed such a big difference in his relationships with people. I simply thought he didn't want to be friends with me anymore since he met people who were cooler. But just a few months ago, he started creeping his way back in my life. By asking me for food, or bringing up the old nickname he used to call me, just a few hours ago, he called me. In MONTHS!!! I was shook, it was the most awkwardest thing I encountered, and then he hung up on me to talk to his friends. Why is he suddenly doing this? I'm honestly shook and confused, I don't know if I should have hopes of being close friends again... |
Question: Girlfriend, and friends? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 07:37 PM PST How do I help my girlfriend make friends? She is new the area, and doesn't really know anyone. She pretty much only has male friend, and one good female friend back where she use to live, and a couple other, but they moved as well. She's been trying, but no luck. I took her my friends party, and she made a friend, but he's a guy of course. It seem hard for her to make female friends |
Question: Definition of: Let's catch up? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 07:18 PM PST It means that the person who says this wants to meet up with me and hangout to talk about what's been going on our lives right? |
Question: Would it be bad if i did this? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 07:13 PM PST So im still a virgin and in my second year of college so its pretty embarrassing at this point. For some reason, guys at my college hate me and i hate them right back. I was planning to lose it to this kid i used to like in high school. Hes what you might call a f*ckboy but i am attracted to him and used to be friends w him so i trust him in a sense. However, recently he suggested a threesome with my best friend who also went to high school with us. I shut down the idea and felt kind of hurt that i wasnt enough. However, i have no more options - never have and probably never will. Should i still have sex with him? |
Question: What does it mean if he's silent? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 07:06 PM PST My male classmate and I had met with a professor to discuss working on a project and the prof asked us if we are ok working together. The male classmate went silent and the prof was looking at me for my reaction. I said it's ok so far. Why was my classmate silent? |

Question: My best friend and his friend don’t want us talking what should we do? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 06:08 PM PST My best friend's neighbor is a very close family friend. And I'm of course close with them as well. Yesterday we had a party and me and the neighbor (I'll just say is bob) ended up getting pretty serious. It was done in privacy however everyone found out. Now my best friend doesn't want me speaking to Bob and bobs friend tried to influence him not to speak to me as well. However we both want to still communicate with each other if not take things further but I don't know what to do |
