Question: How can I deal with this? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 01:15 PM PST How can I deal with this?? I am in a relationship for almost 4 years now. My family (mom,dad,3olderbrothers) hasnt showed any interest in my in laws. I mean like if I had a daughter I would make sure that she will be in a good family. A half year ago my mother met my mom and dad in law, that happend only because I told my mom that she needs to meet them. I told my fam many times to meet them but without any results. My parents are divorced. I do not know why it is like this. My dad always invited me and my bf to his house in the weekends, they went to the gym together. My mom never said she do not like my bf. My brothers neither. Because of all this bullshit the bond between me and my in laws are strange because they do not know where I am coming from. I feel like my family doesnt support me at all. What the f am I supposed to do?!?!?! I need some good advice. Thank you. |
Question: Always blamed or ignored by my family? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 12:52 PM PST I'm always the guy to take everyone's blame, idk why they always say it's my fault. I wont even be in the conversation and some how I get blamed. I'll call my mom she wont answer and a min later my sister could call and she'll pick up instantly. Only reason I can think of is me not pursuing my baseball career, everyone thought I could make it but I quit 2 years ago. I lost my passion for the sport but ever since I quit nobody cares what I say and I'm always blamed for everything. Any suggestions besides going back to baseball |
Question: I m 16. Can I move in with my 28 year old sister? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 11:55 AM PST I m 16 and my mother stresses me out to the point where I ve wanted to kill myself on multiple occasions. My oldest sister and her 3 kids still live with us but she always takes her side. I feel so alone and I know being here isn t good for my mental health. Can I move in with my other sister and her husband? She s 28, and she has a son |
Question: Can my mom just let my dad's house and money go? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 10:52 AM PST My dad was married before my mom and he had 7 kids with this woman. And my mom only had me the only girl for him. He died but had lots of houses he left behind and money as well. He put the money under his kids name. The first wife wants to keep all the money to herself. And my mom is fighting for her share of the money. I hate fights and I can literally have two or three jobs to give my mom money if that's what's she wants. But I am getting annoyed with her fighting this case with the rest of the family. I stopped talking to my step since I was 9 years old. I am 30 years old and we already been through court case with this family as a kid and I just want to live my life in peace. I understand my mom needs money but I think she should let go of my dad's property instead of fighting for it. I hate fights |
Posted: 30 Dec 2018 10:42 AM PST I have a lot of anxiety, and my dad knows it. So this year my dad asks me if it was okay to bring 2 homeless people to stay with us for the new year so that they have a warm place to stay, and of course I said yes as long as he takes care and I can stay in my room so I don't get a panick attack because I feel very threatened when strangers come to my house and he said it was okay. So everything is fine till this point. So he told me he was going out tomorrow and that I had to stay home alone with 2 strangers. I panicked and got angry because I felt that it was insensitive to leave me alone knowing how stressful I find strangers, he however screamed at me and told me I was overreacting and that I should stop being so dramatic. How ever I personally think that what I'm asking is not to much and understandable. I don't know if I should apologise or not. Because maybe I'm the only one that doesn't think I'm being overdramatic. What do you think? |
Question: Is what my brother is telling me true? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 10:19 AM PST I accidentally caught my little brother j - - king off. He told me he read in the Weekly World News that each time he did that, it raised his IQ. Could that be possible or is he feeding me a line of bull? If it is true, he is going to be a genius. Could this be why he is so smart? |
Question: How to control my own life and say no to parents without feeling bad? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 10:18 AM PST I am 20 years old and I still live at home with my parents. I have a part-time job as a receptionist and am looking into college. Recently, I have been attending group therapy as requested by my parents. I've expressed to them that I do not want to continue going and that I feel they are ignoring the way I feel about it. My dad even said "Your opinion on this situation is irrelevant". I've told them that I would like yo have more control over my life and make my own choices. I've also told them I am not going again, but I always do because I feel guilty and give in to them. I'm still in the child phase of feeling like I have to listen to everything my parents tell me to do. Otherwise, I feel guilty. I feel like I own them control over my life and I don't know why because I dont. Of course I will be respectful and follow house rules, but as far as therapy goes, that should be my choice. So how do I tell them no and take control without feeling guilty or scared? |
Question: Mother having different partners.? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 10:13 AM PST U.K I'm a step parent to an eight year old girl, her mother is always causing grief, and the reason why she got residence with my partner is because she's been done for neglect, her brother is in care, as he isn't my partners son. Over the Christmas holidays she's been roaring and raving about my partner not letting her see her mums new partner, due to past incidents, as she'd always introduce new men to her partners, she's just cheated on her partner and is expecting another baby, when she's already got two in the hands of social services. we asked to see her on Christmas Eve at the park, just with the mum and my stepdaughters two sisters, which she said no as she was adamantly sure she wanted my stepdaughter to see her new partner and then came up with that her daughter was ill and I've told my partner that he'll have to take her back to court. I just don't think it's fair that my stepdaughter is seen as a weapon by her mum and dad it's not about presents I know, but she didn't even get her anything for Christmas. I treat her like my own, go to her dance rehearsals, plays the lot. I even went out my way to make her Christmas special. The only time contact is initiated is when my partner goes out his way. My partner has a residency order against her, but as she gets older her mother wants her to sleep over, how can we do this - when she's always showing the kids to new men. She's not coping with the kids she's got now, she's got nowhere to live |
Question: How do I explain to my family that being an introvert isn t me being selfish? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 10:08 AM PST I recently found that I m an introvert.I live with my mom & 2 of my bros(20, 16). I have 2 other bro that moved out. One bro got married a year ago. I don t hate his wife we re just very different people. She is like him & wants to always have stuff to do. Theyre always here. Sometimes 4 times a week. We all get frustrated with how often theyre here. I get frustrated by comments she makes & how she acts. I recently tried asking my fam (that live here) if we can have them over less. I explained about introverts how people being here all the time is draining to me emotionally etc. They took it as me being selfish &said I need to "get over it". My mom said if I need time away from them I can stay in my room. My point is it s not them but they take up so much time always coming over. With other people visiting, work, apts, friends. I feel like I m always drained. My mom said she cant say they cant come. I feel like I ve expressed how I feel & what it s doing to me the best I can but they think it sounds bad and mean. I feel like she is saying how I feel is irrational & doesn t matter. I know my mom isnt trying to sound that way. How do I convey I m not trying to be selfish I just need time where there isn t someone here or something going on? I feel bad cuz I get along with my bro. Moving isn t an option. Do I need to learn to deal with it? if so how? Or is there a way I can explain to my family Im not trying to be selfish i just cant handle constantly having stuff going on |

Question: My boyfriends daughter hoards food in front of my guests.? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 09:03 AM PST My boyfriend's 28 year old daughter who suffers from depression and doesn't work or do anything (he pays the bills in his 2 daughter's household), comes to my house all the time looking for food. Her sister says she starves herself and when she sees food she goes crazy. Yesterday I had my annual family dinner. I was up since 6 am cooking. She ate 2 big plates of food here and afterwards I found out she took 3 more plates of food and went home and left it there and came back. My guests told me that after my boyfriend (who lives with me) helped her home later on. I packed up other leftovers for my guests in one container each. I hardly had any stuffed shells left for my own leftovers. My sister, niece and daughter in law made dishes and brought them too. When my boyfriend came back I told him that was very embarrassing what his daughter did. He got mad at me and stayed up all night drinking. He pities her cause she tried to kill herself last New Years eve. I hate greedy people and am going to say something to her when I see her. I know it may cause conflict between me and my boyfriend. What are your thoughts? |
Question: Am i slut for doing this? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 08:13 AM PST Ok yes i'm a girl. I just turned 18 on Wednesday and on Saturday night had a party, went clubbing with friends etc. After the night was done and i was becoming more sober, and after my friends left, i realised i lost my wallet (it's back now thank god). I needed to catch a Taxi home. Anyways, i waved to one and he picked me up. When he brought me back home (10 km away), i knew i couldn't pay him in cash so had to think of another way of paying him. I told him right there that i lost my wallet and had no money. He had a worried face. I quickly tell him then, awkwardly, that i would suck him off (give him a BJ) instead of the cash. This is when he stopped, smiled and said yes ok. I tell him the location of a park nearby my house. We park. I sucked and swallowed. Horrible taste but well, i had to repay some way or another. He thanked me and said happy new year. So what do you think, was this slutty by any chance? |
Question: Parents shame and criticize me for my decision? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 07:43 AM PST My parents are huge believers in college being the only path to success and there is no other in their minds. Unfortunately Ive attempted college and did very badly. I decided it wasn t for me at this time and got a full-time job as a bookkeeper. I am working on finding an apartment and moving out but how do I politely and respectfully tell my parents to stop criticizing and shaming my job because Im not following there plan of going to college and that it is not there choice, I m 22. They seem to think they can force me back into school. |

Question: I want a relationship with all of my cousins? How can I make it happen? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 07:23 AM PST It's my Dad's side of the family btw. I wanna get more closer with them, I'm friends with them on facebook..and sometimes they comment and like on things I post. Anyways I have seen some of them in person, it's some I haven't. I cry sometimes because I've missed out on so many years being around them..I'm 22 btw. Do you think it's too late for me to establish a better stronger relationship with my cousins? |
Question: Is there anything I can do to stop my cousins from going back home? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 07:14 AM PST My aunt, uncle, and cousins (10 and 8) have been here visiting for Christmas, and I don't want them to go back home. I'm not ready for Christmas to be over yet, and neither are they. They have tickets to fly home to Seattle tomorrow. I'm in Michigan. I'm an only child, so I'm really going to miss the kids when they go. |
Question: Does the cat legally belong to me? Can I be charged for damages? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 06:58 AM PST Sorry for the repost. I've never used Yahoo answers before so I didn't realise I could add details. I'm leaving home in a few weeks with help from the police and the social services. I'm 17. About six or so months ago my stepmother gave me two cats that belonged to her and her family. One of the cats was very old and ended up dying. The cat was registered in her and her families name but I am unsure about the other cat as she didn't come with any paperwork. My parents refuse to let the cats go anywhere but my room and on occasion will throw her out for extended periods of time while I'm away. I don't know if the cat legally belongs to me, which causes two issues. 1. The cat caused minimal damage to the carpet. The carpet is old and has been here since we moved in. My parents are in the process of re-carpeting anyway. Who would be charged for these damages? 2. I would like to leave with the cat as I don't believe she is safe at the house. My parents have stated that if I go away and leave the cat at home (go away to a friends house for example) they won't feed her. I don't think she'd be looked after at all. |
Question: Can my dad charge me for damage at 17 if I live in the family home with him? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 06:33 AM PST |
Question: My mom is dangerously secretive...? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 06:25 AM PST My mom has always been a secretive person for as long as I've known her. My siblings have never asked but she's never told us anything about our father. She gets out of work but doesn't come home until 1 or later in the morning and sometimes doesn't come home at all. She tells us absolutely nothing about her life. If we're ask her where she's going she won't tell us and we know there's no point in asking. we also all have a gps locator on our iphones but she turns hers off after she leaves work. I understand that because all my siblings are older (the youngest is 17), she may feel like she's free to do what she wants pero, we worry for her and what couldve happened to her when she doesn't come home. We don't have to know everything pero, a simple name of who she's going out with would be nice. if we were to lose her, im sure we'd have almost nothing to give the police except physical traits. |
Posted: 30 Dec 2018 05:52 AM PST It's annoying to watch. When people complain about the current generation being applied & what not, I never used to listen until Yet my god brother is doing half of the things I used to do. Like talking back, making messes, & having issues & he just gets a slap on the wrist. No verbal abuse, no spanking. Sometimes he would just have his privileges taken away and that's it. When I would raise concern about my god brother's entitled attitude, people would tell me that he's "just a kid". I remember when I would get screamed at by my father if I were to ever do things like that. I wasn't told I was "just a kid" when I acted out. .It's funny when I used to get in trouble in school at his age, I was verbally abused and constantly punished for it. I was told I wouldn't amount to anything. I don't think it's his fault, though. I think the adults are to blame because they allow him to act that way. As a result, he has a smart mouth and thinks that he can treat people how they want without any repercussions. Also, When my triplet cousins would get bad behavior notes, my aunt would just rip them up & ignore them. Yet she would spank me & my siblings if I were to ever act spoiled & mouthy. |
Question: My family is too loud for me to concentrate on my school assignments, help!!? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 05:40 AM PST My sister is singing LOUDLY all the time, my mother is playing the cello and my father shouts or is playing the violin. I have to analyze an article and I've only read 20 lines or so. What do I do? We don't have any café's in my area, and it's sunday so the library is closed. Posted: 30 Dec 2018 02:02 AM PST Ok this might be long but my brother and nephew were both loud last night we went through this a lot they don't be quiet when asked nicely by me tell I go to my mom I am so sick of it I will talk to mom tomorrow though but what if it doesn't work? She is sick so I didn't want to wake her though I'm surprised they didn't keep her awake or wake up I am always quiet for them I can't fall back asleep cause of them if things don't work what are ways to block loud noise? I shouldn't have to put up with this I don't know anyone to sleep over when they are here it sucks because we all need our sleep they expect me to hold it all in. She just has the bug what I had recently it's going around my nephew also had it for awhile but you gave me an idea to help my nephew calm down before bed she usually does but not when she's sick I don't blame her or I am sleeping in her truck in the parking lot I still think my brother does this stuff to get on my nerves though he likes to play the victim sometimes to get attention he's older then me I don't know why he acts like the way he does. I hear voices every night sometimes they also keep me awake but I can tell when it's them or the voices they are much more louder it was late to the child should of been in bed anyways should be common sense. Also @Anonymous I'd give you the best answer but it won't let me lol Yes I sometimes use ear plugs but I try to avoid wearing them over night they build up my ear wax more as I get it bad already, |
Question: How does growning up spoiled affect you when you get older? Bad or good? Posted: 30 Dec 2018 01:55 AM PST I grew up pretty spoiled, had everything I wanted when I wanted it, always went to a top private school, never rode a bus a day in my life, was picked up and dropped off from school by my parents own driver. Never cleaned always had a maid. But now my parents want me to go out and make money on my own. I don't think they will help me out, I had a job before but I never took it seriously bck I knew even if I got fired my parents could afford me. But I'm getting older as well and I don't always wanna rely on my parents for money. Ppl tell me I live in a perfect world and that the real world isn't anything like it. I guess my question is how does growing up spoiled affect you as an adult |

Question: Problem with these two kids at school who are like destroying stuff. What to do? Posted: 29 Dec 2018 10:32 PM PST Austin, is a kid at my school. Depending on who he is with, he can be nice, or just a moron. There is a girl and her brother who go to school. He doesn't really pick on the girl too much, she is just weird and also doesn't react as much to picking. It isn't very nice and the brother is easy to pick on because he flips out and some people think it is funny. The girl is just really shy or an introvert so (I think) she is just too scared to do anything about it. I don't know what to do. It is her brother so is it her problem?? Already talked to teachers, that didn't work. He isn't actually beating this kid up, it is more verbal. Parents did nothing. Like, is this my problem? Do I tell the sister to deal with |

Question: HOW DO I FIND MY SON?!? Posted: 29 Dec 2018 09:54 PM PST i lost my son sixteen years ago, and for such a long time i've been searching for him. he left a note on his bed that said he was moving away when he first disappeared, but he was only four, so why would he move?! when i called the police to send a search party they said that since he wasn't anywhere to be found he would be proclaimed dead, but i can't believe that! there is still no sign of his dead body either, so nobody knows for sure if he's dead or alive! i don't know what else to do, though, because i've tried looking everywhere. where could a four year old have gone? i mean, now (if he's even still alive) he would be twenty, but still. if anyone has any advice on how i can possibly find him if it's even possible that he's out there still, please let me know. i won't be able to sleep until i know what happened to him. |
Posted: 29 Dec 2018 09:42 PM PST I am 22, sister is 21, brother is 19. Our dad, who moved 2 hours away from her, forces us to visit his schizophrenic, deeply religious, racist, bipolar and unmedicated mother every month. Our visits with her consist of her giving us lists of chores, talking about how she is chosen, calling us ungrateful, accusing us of worshipping the devil, listening to her voicemails from 10 years ago, looking at the same random documents and receipts, etc. Ever since I was little, I remember her being very mean. She was always just a crazy lady I had to see. She has threatened to kill numerous members of the family and even brags about it over Thanksgiving dinner. I have panic attacks before going into her house and I dread the visits up until the day of. I have told my dad that these visits are causing me to have panic attacks and a lot of stress. He said, "It's stressful for all of us, but you know I do a lot for you, so I would appreciate you continuing to go." He's right that he does help with my phone bill and car insurance. I'm afraid if I push further, he will consider me a disappointment and stop being there for me alltogether. It makes me really upset because I work and go to school full time and made all As this semester, but none of that matters unless I keep going to visit her. I am supposed to go see her in a couple weeks again, and I am already dreading it. Am I out of line? It also doesn't help that my sister, who has been living with and bonding with my dad lately, is agreeing to always go because she believes we all owe him. It makes me seem very ungrateful. I just wish there was another way to show my appreciation. I'm in school and have a $300 car payment (that he advised me to take on) so I really appreciate and need his help and don't know how I could manage without it. I just don't want to have to sacrifice my mental health for it. |
Question: My family isn't very involved in my life. How can I ask for help when they are too busy? Posted: 29 Dec 2018 08:36 PM PST My parents both passed away in an accident when I was in my teens, and my guardians were my grandparents. Im in my 20's now and a single mom so I want support and help at times but everyone is too busy. Grandma has alzheimers, grandpa is the type to always have commitments/can't sit still, so he's rarely free. Other family members have school/jobs and friends... I ask for babysitting sometimes and they're usually busy/can't come. They never visit just because. What should I do? |
Question: I might go to prison for having sex with my cousin. Help!? Posted: 29 Dec 2018 08:04 PM PST I just had sexual relations with my cousin. She is 17, and she is really guilty about what we did together. I'm afraid she might tell her mom. I don't want to go to prison. Please help me. |
Question: My sister spanked my child with Down Syndrome? Posted: 29 Dec 2018 07:56 PM PST So, I asked my 10 year old daughter with Down Syndrome to unbuckle her 3 year old little sister. My daughter understands what I said, and she said, "No, she's sweaty." I just rolled my eyes and unbuckled her myself. It really isn't that dig of a deal in my opinion because my daughter is a little bit of a germaphobe and doesn't like sweat. Next thing I know I hear a smack and my daughter was crying. My older sister was yelling at my child about respect. I pushed my sister away from my daughter and told her to leave. She thinks that spanking a child is fine, but she knows how I feel about her spanking my child. Did I do the right thing by telling her to leave. |

Question: How can I deal with this?? Posted: 29 Dec 2018 06:07 PM PST I am in a relationship for almost 4 years now. Thank you. |

Question: What's wrong with my sister ? Posted: 29 Dec 2018 05:29 PM PST Once in a while my sister gets a sharp pain in her pelvic area. She's on birth control she has an IUD so she can't get pregnant also she doesn't have a boyfriend anyway so she's never had sex. Also because of her IUD she hasn't had a period in 2 years. She said she gets this maybe once every other month she doesn't know if it has something to do with a period or what but like I said she hasn't had one in 2 years. She's never done this before she said it just started this past summer she doesn't eat anything unusual just a normal diet and food like anyone else. When we're sitting on the couch she has it she holds onto me or my boyfriend and cries. What's wrong with her ? |
Posted: 29 Dec 2018 04:39 PM PST I already tried ancestory.com to prove this was my great great grandfather's name and I am living his legacy. I carry around my birth certificate to show anyone who doubts me. I've been harassed for months. People spray paint "GG" on my house. I did get a free Gucci belt for this spelling so I guess that's exciting. My car has g's keyed all over. I just don't understand. - Gregg |

How can i get only my dad in jail for neglect? BTW , i'm not in the united states |
Question: If you were my family, would you lend me the keys to your car? Posted: 29 Dec 2018 03:46 PM PST I was born and raised in McAllen, TX. This city has NO public public transportation, you either have a or have a have car. The city also has no sidewalks because it's designed for the car. I came here for the holidays, and I'm already gone crazy from being stuck in my parents' house. For the last 6 years, I have not owned a car. I live in a city with: a subway system, a bicycle-sharing system, trolley bus system, pblic bus system, public train system, and tons of pedestrian streets. I want to go out. But my parent won't lend me the keys to the car becasue I have not dirven in years. My brothers won't lend the keys to their car. My friend won't either. I know I haven't driven in years. But driving is not something you can forget. Would you lend me the keys to your car? |
Question: Was I wrong to hit my mom back? Posted: 29 Dec 2018 03:29 PM PST I'm a sexteen year old girl. My mom and I got into an argument and then she proceeded to hit me. In defense I too started to hit her and grabbed her hair. I then stopped after I realized what I was doing. I apologized but my mom proceeded to slap me and hit me and made me kneel to her. She threatened to kick me out of the house. She then proceeded to tell everyone in the house that i attacked her and pulled her hair. I felt wronged so I talked back to her and said I did it in self defense but she shut me up by slapping me. Now my whole family looks down on me and thinks i'm crazy disrespectful. Was I wrong to hit my mom back or was my mom just disiplining me? At what age should physical discipline not be used on your kid? Did I cross the line or did we both? |
