Question: Just need some opinions to show other people bc I’m really tired of the bs? Posted: 11 Dec 2018 05:54 PM PST So I have a child. She's well taken care of and she gets a lot of love and play time. Well she still cries sometimes especially when she's trying to fight sleep. Everyone else immediately picks her up and I've been told by elders and even by my pediatrician to let her learn "self calming." She isn't given a chance for that she has started to cry every time she is put down and everyone wants to say that she should always be picked up when she cries. Everyone does this and I'm the one this is suffering their doings. Please people who have had children leave your thoughts thank you. |
Posted: 11 Dec 2018 05:32 PM PST Yesterday my sister died in the hospital within several hours of her vehicle accident, I am totally grieving and shocked over her death right now. Then today some old acquaintance from school had the nerve to post this on his Facebook wall "I'm really shocked and saddened over this girl's death, I may not gotten to know her very well but her family & their friends have always inspired everyone to remain strong & happy no matter what the circumstances were, the world would be a much better place if more people were as kind & generous as this girl & her family" He is getting lots of comments and reactions on his status. Years ago my school acquaintance has stalked & harassed my family to where my parents told him they don't want anything to do with him anymore, I'm really upset that he would try to benefit recognition off of my sister's death when I'm clearly going through a tough time, I told my parents about this acquaintance trying to benefit off of my sister's death and they both thought he was being an f-in' ******. |
Question: Close friend is doing drugs and alcohol (please read details), what should I do? Posted: 11 Dec 2018 04:57 PM PST Hello, I have a very close friend and she is 14 years old. She is now doing many drugs as well as alcohol. At school yesterday she threw up fireball whiskey everywhere, and she was also high. They found weed in her coat and now she's going to court. She is completely out of control! Her parents have the alcohol laying around everywhere, as well as the weed. They seem to not care one bit and will discipline her more for not doing the laundry or the dishes more than this! Her parents are frequently gone, and are very irresponsible in the care of their 3 children. I have tried all that I could to talk to her and support her but she is just not listening to anything, I just don't know what to do. I can't sit back and watch her throw her whole life away! Thank you for any helpful answers and for taking the time to read this :) She has also come in contact with another boy in school who possesses very bad, illegal drugs which she has purchased. I know she has taken 4 sedative/antidepressant (Trazodone) pills at once, at school! |
Question: Are my friends screwing? Posted: 11 Dec 2018 04:25 PM PST I have two friends. One guy and a girl. I've been quite close to the girl for 2 years now. Recently she's began getting closer to my friend. She sometimes only hangs around him, twerks on him in the club and kind of flirts with him. Whenever she decides to sleep over at our house she stays in his room. My friend knows I like her but she does not I tell him to stop sleeping in the same room with her, but he refuses. He feels if I like her I should have made a move. But the girl has a boyfriend. I have spoken to the girl how I don't feel comfortable about them sleeping together, not having sex but just sleeping literally and she gives me mixed replies like a neutral answer and also that since I am not day=ting her i should not care and that if i wanted her is should have went for her....BUT SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND TAT SHE IS IN AN ON AND OFF AGAIN relationship with. I feel like they are messing around with each other in there, which kind of drives me nuts. I feel my friend is not loyal for continuing to sleep with her whenever she comes and the girl is not a good friend for continuing to sleep in his room when she knows I feel uncomfortable with it. What do you guys think? They don't hang out without me...but their seems to be a lot of separate flirting etc. The girl is so into him sometimes. I have asked her if she likes him and she even said no...and that she actually likes his friend... |

I used to have a girlfriend and she was the best friend I ever had but she dumped me about a year ago and I have been terribly lonely ever since. What are some ways to cope? |

Question: What does this mean? Please answer? Posted: 11 Dec 2018 01:30 PM PST Sometimes when I close my eyes about to go to sleep. I see people's faces but they're not anyone that I know and I don't know why that happens. Has this ever happened to you? And what is it called? |

Question: Would anyone enjoy doing a pen pal? I’m 15 so no one older than 17 please.? Posted: 11 Dec 2018 12:20 PM PST Hello. So I'm a 15 year old guy. I was wondering if anyone would like to do an online pen pal. Also I do have one question too. Would it be awkward to write a letter to a friend who moved or letter to a neighbor? Anyways, hope to meet amazing people around the world with this. Definitely would be exciting to learn about other cultures. |
Question: Romantic relationship escalating with 12 year old friend, ethical? Posted: 11 Dec 2018 12:16 PM PST Its been no more than 2 weeks and she was my best friend from the first grade. She's started to talk about sex. Tips advice anything? |
Question: Should I let this girl come to my birthday party? Posted: 11 Dec 2018 09:11 AM PST So for my upcoming 21st I'm taking a trip to nola with about 15 of my closest friends. When I was probably drunk, I invited this girl who a lot of people in my dislike. I had forgotten that I had invited her and these people flipped over the fact that she was coming and I had to uninvite her. I personally do not give a flying **** who comes to nola with me, as I am not cheif of the city it's not like I can barricade the walls and not allow certain people in on the premise that it's my birthday. I've already told her she can't come but honestly if she gets her hotel I don't care if she's there, but there's a possibility she'd piss a lot of people off. And then there's the little fact that I've already uninvited her. So is it too late? What the **** do I do |
Posted: 11 Dec 2018 08:54 AM PST If somebody would inform them how boring they are, maybe they would shut the hell up! They just talk all the time when they have nothing to say! These people have a problem with people who don't talk much! They think WE are the ones with a problem. People actually think they have the right to harass quiet people and try to pressure us to talk more. They seem to think we have to talk to people! Why would anybody think they have the right to try to force me to talk to them and force me to make friends with them??? If I'm not interested in talking to stupid, boring, selfish jerks who talk to much, that is MY business, not yours! I don't want to be your friend! And I don't have to talk to anybody if I don't want to, so piss off, loser! |
Posted: 11 Dec 2018 08:29 AM PST So, my friend said to my face: No offense, but your girlfriend is a *****. I didn't respond, I just went back to my school work. She then sent me a chat that said that she's done with fake friends believing the word of an attention whore instead of their own friend who they've know longer. So I don't talk to her in class, and I got a bunch of glitter and asked one of my table mates if I should throw some at her, which my mate said no because that friend has talked about cutting. I'm just very triggered because having self harmed before, that just upsets me, hearing her use it as a threat to people online. I kinda want to slap her or just full on cover her in glitter, but I have a scholarship that I have to look out for. Random High School Introvert~ |
Question: My roommate is being a total slob? Posted: 11 Dec 2018 07:35 AM PST So my roommate of the past year or so (who's also my son's pediatrician) has been acting like a total slob lately. The other day I found his toothbrush in a plastic freezer bag just sitting on the kitchen counter. I think he must have brushed his teeth in the kitchen sink. Honestly, what kind of person does that? That's where we do our dishes!! Just yesterday he left a loose paper towel sheet in the microwave after heating up some soup. I'm honestly about fed up with his behavior. You'd think that a medical professional would be more well-versed on basic hygiene and general decorum. If it weren't for the fact that he's been carrying my share of the rent for the past three months, I would have spoken up. He's really setting a bad example for my 8-year-old son. He's technically my landlord, so I don't really have anybody to complain to directly about this. How can I force or otherwise convince him to change his ways without seeming ungrateful or confrontational? Should I start leaving notes? Thanks and God bless. |
Posted: 11 Dec 2018 07:08 AM PST Ok so my friend liza and i are not speaking anymore because we got into a bad heated argument like really bad. I confrontes her because she was a bad friend and i spoke facts and she know it. She tries to avoid me constanly. But anyways we were in a group chat with 2 other people and we would post stuff like always then all of a sudden she left the group chat. I found out from another source that she said she told one of the other girls that she was uncomfortable in it. So i wanna say something to her. But if u guys were in this situation if i told u something that i found out but someone else told me would your first instinct be the person you spoke to, and if they said no would you think anyone else or would you think the person you told is lying? Thanks |

Posted: 11 Dec 2018 02:51 AM PST I'm often asked to go out and I'd say I go out sometimes 3-4 times a week, but there's times when I just feel as though I have nothing to contibute and I may aswell have not come out. Question: How do i apologize without giving her the wrong idea? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 11:02 PM PST I am a 23 year old man who is 5'10 180 pound(all muscle) blonde club promoter, and amature fitness model. I was at a private party, where some mutual friends introduced me to this woman. She is a 35 year old lawyer who came here from India. Shes 6'3 overweight around 250 pounds, and has a thick Indian accent. We ended up having a casual conversation for 30 minutes. She then says "you are a very interesting and handsome man, do you want to go on a date". I then tell her "why would an obese woman from india think she would have a chance with a blond fitness model who is shorter than her" She then nags me in her thick accent "You are being very disrespectful and immature. People are entitled to their preferences, I just asked that is all. Why cant a woman, date a shorter man. Grow up and stop feeling superior because you are conventionally attractive." I was asked to leave the party, and was told I could only speak to this crowd again after I apologize to her. I really did nothing wrong tbh, did she really think she had a chance. I dont want to lose this friend group so I have to apologize, but I dont want her to think she has a chance with me. |
Question: Where do children tend to hangout? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 10:38 PM PST Good evening, I am a seven year old child and I was wondering where other children my age tend to hangout (preferably unsupervised). I've had problems making friends recently and it's made me quite depressed, I thought that I would never make friends until this morning when I optimisticly woke up and decided to throw myself into the world in search of friendship. My only problem is that someone as disconnected as me has a hard time understanding where children frequently hangout. I would be appreciative if the Yahoo Answers community would help me out in my journey to find friendship. |

Question: Friendship advice please!? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 08:44 PM PST Shortly after graduation high school in June of this year, I made the decision not to attend college. I already had a job but I have been full time since graduation and I just got hired at another place for a second job (i will start later this week). I am 19 years old and most of my current coworkers are 30 yrs+ who i consider very nice people and i admire their maturity. The only thing is, i would feel weird hanging out with them outside of work or texting about something non work related. |
Question: Is all hope for me lost? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 08:32 PM PST I can't stand living my life in the shadows of my so called 'friends'. The only reason I have not left them behind is because they're all I have. I can't stand being looked down upon by everyone around me. I can't stand being that one kid that sits in the back of the room by himself. I'm just so done. Nothing will ever change because I'm too much of a coward to actually speak to people. Highschool years are supposed to be enjoyable. Hanging out with friends after school, etc. But for me everyday is the exact same. All I do is sit at home because I don't enjoy any social activities. All hope is lost for me, isn't it? |
Question: Is she really busy or just being fake/not supportive? Posted: 10 Dec 2018 06:14 PM PST I have a grad party coming up and many people said they're traveling for the holidays. So one of my friends "Kate" is celebrating her moving into a new home and "Mary" agreed that she can go celebrate her moving out in a week or two. Another mutual friend planned a Christmas party for next week about two weeks ago. Mary said yes, she'll go. So, now when I mentioned my grad party, Mary said she cannot make it because she's booked with other holiday events almost every weekend this month. When Kate asked about possibly switching the party to another date to make it more convenient for people to attend, Mary said stick with the date because she already committed to other plans. She said she's going ice skating with a group that cannot pick a better date on the same night as my party. But I thought Mary was a close friend of mine and thought she could squeeze in time for me. Am I overthinking it or is she just not supportive/fake? |

Question: Anorexic Friend Moving? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 07:32 PM PST My friend has had anorexia for a couple months and won't go to a profession. She's also moving a 1000 miles away very soon cause her parents got new job offers and has extreme stress with new people and trying to fit in. How bad do you think this would be? If she told her parents do you think they wouldn't move? |
Question: How to deal with a friend everyone hates? Posted: 09 Dec 2018 07:28 PM PST I have this one friend that lives across the street. The thing is everybody else in my friend group hates him. I don't mind hanging out with him but I understand why my other friends don't like him. He's a real awkward dude and can be kind of weird but also can be a jerk and passive aggressive . Me and my other friends like to jokingly ball bust each other all the time but he flat out insults people and can't take it back or any criticism for that matter. So basically drama always starts between him and my other friends. The thing is since my other friends hate him they wont come over if I'm hanging with him plus since he lives across the street if he sees cars parked infront of my house or music coming from my yard he will show up and some of my friends will actually leave just because he's there. I've tried explaining to him about how he pisses people off but then he will start bragging about how "he tells it how it is" and be proud of it. It's weird because he convinces himself that everyone loves him so it just goes through 1 ear and out the other. I am friends with him though and we hangout a lot but it's just my other friends hate him. How should I deal with this? |
