So last year, I became rlly close friends with a guy. He didn't have much friends and always looked rlly depressed or bored, but when we talked to each other we would always have a great time. We would talk for days and hours straight, so when we lost communication over the summer, I thought we would talk again when we get back in school That ended up not being the case and I was being ignored. He only talks to me when he wants to ask me for food. To this day i don't know why he doesn't talk to me anymore besides for food or lame things. I noticed he became really close to another group of people (I hangout with them often but they're not my main friends). It's been bothering me for the longest, I don't do to well during things like this because he was very important to me like my other friends. All of a sudden, I noticed that he started to peak interest in my life again. Now I am actually lost? He even called me, which he hasn't done in MONTHS!! Now a few days has passed and its gone back to him barely talking to me, and whenever I try to start conversations, he has to reply rudely. I don't even know what to do.

I was inviting my friend over at my place, who also brought along his other friend. let's call him x. they had also, last minute decidedly, to bring this girl over. I was expecting it to be a normal hangout, and when I left my room to get some milk cartons stuffed there, I saw the girl leaning dangerously close to x. they stopped when I made a sound, but I hid behind the door as they made their way to the bathroom. my friend stopped me from leaving my own room in my own house, and kept my younger, 11 year old sister, away from them as well. I heard a lot of muffled moaning sounds and all the evidence had pointed that they had sex in my own bathroom. say, I hardly even knew x and the girl was a stranger as well. they left my house shortly and now i'm beyond scarred and confused. what do I do?

There's someone in my life who keeps giving me gifts that I don't really like. I can't throw them away, because I live with the person. They don't really know me as well as they think they do. They keep giving me things I probably would've liked six years ago. I don't want to seem ungrateful, but I'm tired of having a bunch of stuff that I don't want, but won't get rid of out of obligation.

I've been going through a tough time lately and I mentioned this to my friend. I feel like my friend is giving me mixed messages. I'm usually always the one to text first, rarely will my friend text first. It happens, but only once in a while. Whenever we do talk, we talk nicely and once my friend said "we should talk more." So does my friend really want to talk more or not? I'm lost and I really can't tell at this point...I'm always afraid to text first because I feel like I'm being annoying/bothersome :( There was a time where we went 9 months without talking because I was just going through so much. I came back around to say "happy birthday" to my friend. Also, this friend is the only one who didn't abandon me after this tough time. So I really want to remain friends.

Three roomates in a house.. Best friends for years. Two of them leave their valuables out in the open and are very trusting. But one secretly locks her stuff in a safe and secretly rigs her door to check if ppl are going in her room (they never are). BUT SHE steals small amounts of money and goes into THEIR rooms to snoop and is shocked at how trusting they are. So are dishonest ppl less trusting of others like that?

My friend and I auditioned for an a cappella group on campus. During one of the auditions, I had trouble hitting one of the notes, and my friend said, "wow! You really can't sing, no offense though" in front of everyone. Before she said that, I told her that I got a C on my Aural Skills exam (I'm a music major). However, she can't sing notes on a page, so I don't know why she said what she said to me. Anyway, we both passed our auditions, but I got the lead part, which meant that I also had to conduct (lead) the first few measures of each song. During our rehearsals, she would always criticize me on my conducting, and she would says things like, "I should just do it [conduct]" or "we don't really need a conductor". I don't know if I'm being too sensitive or if her comments were mean and unnecessary

Anyone else just sick of life? No one cares about me, I mean even in college everyone is so quick to talk about me and yet none of them have ever spoke to me personally like in a friends way, I only ever occasionally talk to them. I've had enough of them and life, it's always sh*t. I don't talk to most people in my family either.

I'm Neville's in a fair amount of activities through college. And am working part time. I go to a church group every Friday. I find myself hopeless with maybe one friend. I'm trying to meet new people so I don't feel alone. I'm turning 21 in 2 months any suggestions for now before I turn 21. And after. My build is short (5'6, few extra pounds 167lbs.) I've lost about 10-15lbs by eating less and working out hoping I can look better which makes friends. It's not easy for me to put myself out there whether at school or via in social life. I'm shy and sometimes don't know what to say.

I'm moving to a new area soon and it is very far away from anyone I know. How do I meet new people, and also avoid being lonely/bored all day when I don't know anyone?

I have asked him about his behaviour and he has denied everything and I think it is all very childish. I have started dating some other guys now and I feel I have met the right one. My now partner and I have recently moved in together and its going very well. My friend has been distant for the last few weeks since all of this, no more calls or texts from him anymore, declines coming to parties we have began having, and anytime I meet him in town he always brings up my new partner and how happy I seem with him. I am upset at his behaviour but if he wants to be childish and dishonest like that well what can I do.

My coed fraternity's pledge class and I hung out at my place (6 people total) and we were all having a good time. One of the guys there said something (I don't remember what) and I believed him, but it turns out that he was just joking. As a side note, I admit that I am really gullible at times, but I'm not stupid (academically). Anyway, one of the girls ("supposedly"my friend) said, "no offense, but you do have some dumb girl tendencies." Then everyone in the room said, "it's ok, we still love you" and she didn't say anything. Do you think her comment was offensive, or am I being too sensitive?

So a week ago I made out with this guy that's in one of my classes, at his house! Anyway, I lost my earring in the process but didn't notice till I left his house. When I told him, he said that he had already found it He told me he could give it back the next day in class. However, the next day he was absent. Then, the weekend came & things started to get weird between us to the point that we can't even make eye contact at school, he hasn't even replied to my last text and it's been 2 days. Idk why he's acting like this all of a sudden. So I have no idea if he still has the earring with him or if he just threw it out. I don't really mind it because the earring wasn't expensive but I just can't help but wonder what happened. Why won't he give it back?

My neighbor's daughter Ann and my daughter have a high school class together. They set side by side in the class. Last week a boy set in front of Ann and he took his back pack off and laid it on the floor in front of Ann. The flap on the back pack flew open and Ann say a gun in the back pack. She immediately took her cell phone and called 911. Then she grabbed the back pack and ran out of the classroom with it. She held on to the back pack until the police arrived in a short time and then she gave it to them. As you can imagine this was a MAJOR interruption at the school. I think Ann was a hero for what she did. She possibly save MANY LIVES. However the school wants to punish Ann because they say they have a zero tolerance if you break the rules. The school claims Ann broke 3 rules. She used her cell phone in class, she left the classroom without permission and she stole the boys back pack. I think this is OUTRAGEOUS. Do you agree with me? Please give me your views on what us parents should to honor Ann, not punish her.

She is my friend and i left my phone in her house living room, i must hav put it there when i went to drink coffee. Anyhow she went through my phone and seen my naked pics. I dont usually take pics of me, but this was for medical reasons. How did i know she seen it, since then she makes sexual jokes. Like wow thats a jungle down there. And jokes such as that, and she smirks. Iam really embarrased she is hot

Basically there's an exam today, but I'm feeling ill and wouldn't be able to concentrate, so I stayed home. Me & my friend were also supposed to help set up an event, but as I'm not there I won't be involved. I told my friend this and now he's really mad at me saying "don't flake out on me". I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm faking it, because we were both really anxious to be doing the event. I know I can just do the exam another time, and that you aren't supposed to go in when you're ill anyway, and my friend will be ok, but I still feel bad. Should I have just gone in? Am I being an idiot?

We dated for 3 and a half years and it was great but I messed up. We stopped dating since May and everytime I open up about how I feel she tells me "keep pushing me away". She asks for so many favors and I told her "you better not be using me" but all she says is I'm not. She doesn't want me to chase but at the same time idk what to do.

This is a dumb question but Idk I wanted a second opinion. I have a friend like kinda an internet friend but we talk on the phone etc. And we might meet in person bc he lives near relatives of mine. Anyways he's always so mean to me. He didn't used to be as mean but he always teases me and it's really annoying me. Normally I dont mind banter and teasing but he literally rips on me every second that we talk and when i say hes being mean and annoying he somehow makes it seem like i overreact and doesnt get how he's mean. But I feel like I could weirdly miss said person if I did stop talking to them but I still kinda want to not talk to them. My bf and I've been together for almost 3.5 years and we never had any trust issues between us before. He recently started doubting me cuz one of my best friend who is a guy kissed me in my forehead while hugging me on my birthday. I am the only girl in my AP Calculus class. My classmates are all my friends and are great guys. We have a lot of home work so we sometimes gather at someone's house and do our homework together. This time it was my house. After we completed the homework, my mom served all the guys fresh homemade apple pie and ice cream. They loved it. We usually rotate whose house we go to for doing the homework. However the guys ask me if we could go to my house again for the homework. That is OK with me. I just thought they liked the pie and ice cream my mom made for them. Then one of the guys told me the real reason they wanted to come to my house. When mom served them pie and ice cream she wore her Daisy Dukes. Are all high school guys like this about someone twice their age?

My adoptive moms friend (she rarely speaks to) attacked me on Facebook today regarding a meme I posted about wishing my deceased (due to murder) mother a merry christmas in the afterlife. I was adopted (hence me saying she is friends with my adoptive mom) from the state and my mom had to be taught about children with emotional trauma like I death with when my mom was murdered. She knows who mother vs mom is when I talk and never reacted to the meme. Her friend Sally took it upon herself to rip me a new one and say that my biological mother is basically scum and never did a thing for me and that my adoptive mom Donna IS my real mom and that I better learn that. She called me an ungrateful brat who doesnt appreciate anything Donna has done for me and that when I wished my murdered mother (whos relatives are on my page and saw all of this) merry Christmas, I slapped Donna in the face and should basically be punished harshly and it was her job to do it. I commented back very politely and told her that she will never know what it is like to have to deal with a parole board and face the man who murdered your mom and deal with that pain i have dealt with and that she was wrong. My husband also chimed in and called her a few names and told her she needed to be ashamed and apologize. Sally commented back and said something I am going to ignore your disrespectful little rant about your birth mother and that I was "piece of work" Sally refused to admit she was wrong and even suggested that I am mentally ill for caring about my birth mom (who did not ask to be killed or to not be in my life). What is right here? She pretty much attacked me unprovoked because she felt I was being ungrateful but Donna my adoptive mom never even said she was upset about it. She was also puzzled as to why Sally started all this.

I have lost so many friends before that I have gotten to the point where I don't want to meet anyone anymore. I am very lonely, have anxiety and depression, and am never happy. I am SO shy that I can't talk to other people, but I just want to have a good friend that will stay my friend. Any advice?
