Question: Am I missing out on college by not going to parties and drinking? Posted: 01 Dec 2018 01:44 PM PST I just started college and it seems that everyone I know has already started drinking and partying. I've never tried going to a college party, but I can already tell it's not my thing. I just think it's so stupid and pointless, but is it fair to assume this if I never been to one? I can imagine what it would be like however and I feel like I'm not really a party type of person. I want to just focus on my studies, but I can't help but feel that college is a life experience that i should enjoy. |
Question: Is it bad my mom gets involved in my girl drama? Posted: 01 Dec 2018 08:23 AM PST Whenever someone messes with me, my mom always steps in & says stuff & sometimes it makes the drama worse. |
Question: Teenage girls who can drive would you have done this? Posted: 01 Dec 2018 08:00 AM PST I just got home from taking my younger brother to his friends house. Since it was warm out and I did not have to get out of my car and was only gone for 20 minutes to be more comfortable I just drove in my bare feet and left my shoes at home. |
Question: I don’t know what to do anymore I don’t have anyone ? Posted: 01 Dec 2018 07:24 AM PST Recently I contacted my dad I have not seen my dad it's been 13 years I am 21 years old. I found out that my mom has been lying to me about my dad my grandad admitted that they kept me away from him. My dad gave me his attorney number he said that the only way he can see is that he has to go through the court first. I'm at a point where I can't take it anymore all my mom do is bring me down. I can't move out I don't make that much money. I'm really depressed I can't take this pain anymore all I want is my dad I don't know why that's so hard. My dad said it's possible that he might go to jail because my mom has an abandonment warrant out on him. Update: Last time I saw my dad is when I was 8 years old. Update 2: He said that my grandad and my mom got the court to not have any contact with me at all . My mom , my grandma, and my grandad got mad at me for contacting my dad. if I go see my dad my mom side of the family would be mad at me to the point where they might disowned me. They already talked bad about my dad in front of me. They keep asking me why after everything we have done for you why would you want to listen to him or see him. My doesn't love or care about me she cares way more about my brother and his girlfriend more then she does with me. whenever I ask a question she gets an attitude and starts yelling at me but when they ask her she's all happy and treat them like they are her bestfriends. All I do is think about suicide. My dad mom even cut me off. I'm 21 years old I only have $26 to my name my mom said starting in January I have to pay her $200 for rent I want to get away from her but I have no where else to go . All I want to do is be happy but I can't have that for some reason. I can't even contact my dad he cut me off when I said they would disowned me if I contact his attorney. My dad mom also cut me off. And I do have a job I do have a job my mom wants $200 from me every month so I can't leave. |

Question: Are these signs that he cares or loves me as a friend? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 08:32 PM PST My guy friend and I have known each other for over 2 years. We weren't always friends, but have been for a year and a half. He's not the affectionate type, as he's never given me a hug (I've never seen him give anybody else a hug either). He'll do high fives or hand shakes, but that's it. He's also never told me he loves me (as a friend) or that he cares about me. He's said/done some things in the past that make me feel like he cares, but I don't know. He once implied I deserve the best, he once implied that he wants to meet any guy I intend on dating so he can see if he approves of them or not (he's met my current boyfriend and seems to like him, although he hasn't actually said so). Today, on the ride home, he asked if I was hot or cold and it turned out we were both hot, he just wanted to make sure he didn't freeze me LOL. Also, before he left from dropping me off, he didn't drive away until he made sure I got inside okay. Does this mean he cares? I know it's a silly question and makes me sound dense, but wouldn't anybody normally do these things even for a person who wasn't a friend, but just an acquaintance? He's 11 years older. We're both adults, I just don't have a license at the moment. Definitely not the shy type, as he's a salesman. He is confident, walks into a room with his head held high. That's one thing I've always liked about him honestly. He has many female friends, but not in a bad way. Like I said, we've been friends for a year and a half and have known each other for 2 years. We've definitely grown close, but we're not as close as we used to be. There's a very good connection there, though. |
Question: How do I fix my issues with my girlfriend s son? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 06:42 PM PST Hi, my girlfriend s son is 13 years old. We live together although we haven t been dating for more than 5 months but have known each other for a year. Her son has lied repeatedly, stolen other kids phones from school, stolen some of my things, and refuses to listen to what his mom tells him. I ve tried to step up as more of a stepdad but it backfired a lot and now I m extremely concerned about the kid. I was yelling at him for lying about doing homework (yes, I said some swear words in the heat of the moment) and he wasn t listening and rolling his eyes. Didn t understand how serious his mother is about working on his grades. I ve been trying to help when she s at work but here s the thing...I gave him a small smack on the head. Nothing hard but more to get his attention. Used an open palm and he immediately looked up and started paying attention. Seemed normal to me. Now I have no experience with kids and hisother has fought hard to keep him from going to a behavioral school. I want to see him be on the right path and avoid stupid mistakes I made. Now I m wondering if I overstepped because the boy has told his father that I abuse him and I have a drinking problem. The biological father wants to report it. Now I have had a drinking problem in the past I will be honest about that but I DON T drink PERIOD anymore but I m assuming that s how he came up with that. What should we do to help the kid get on the right path and what are my boundaries? Did I overstep? |
Posted: 30 Nov 2018 05:04 PM PST I was sitting in the living room and my grandma called for my dog, Zoe. I asked who Zoe was and she thought I was kidding, but I started to insist my dog's name wasn't Zoe. I saw her name tag and was bewildered. In that moment, I didn't even like the name Zoe. I had a sudden headache and my grandma said I was flushed and to check my BP, 146/80. She told me to lay down. I tried to text my boyfriend and struggled to type sentences. My vision got blurry on the right side, and at some point I forgot how to send a text message. I took a nap, I woke up with 138/79 BP and a migraine on my left side over my eye. 3 months ago I had a high BP episode coming in to work from lunch and was taken to the ER and have been on BP meds. I'm 27 years old and dr can't see me for a few weeks. Should I go to ER? My BP is 118/59 now. |

Question: Sister says she wants to keep dog door closed, but that defeats the purpose? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 04:36 PM PST My sister and I live in a house together, and I installed a dog door, so that my dog could go outside as she pleased, so that she doesnt have to wait until I get home. She agreed to let me install it although she wasnt very fond of the idea, anyway, winter is almost here, and she got mad because the dog door was open causing the house to lose heat. I bought the dog door to leave open while I m at work, so that my dog can come and go. How is she suppose to do that if my sister wants it closed? Is my sister being unreasonable? |
Question: My dad kicked me out over an argument he had with my sister.? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 03:47 PM PST I have two boys both by different guys. I know my past mistakes have gotten me here I'm aware of that but I really want better for my boys and myself. Problem is my dad kicked me and my sister out over an argument I wasn't apart of. He said we both had to leave but both our sons can stay till schools out but since I have a one year old also my one year old has to leave with me. I was working two jobs with no car yet so my dad would get drunk and mad an then last minute not take me to work! All I have is my parents out here and my dad did the same to my sick grandma, kicked her out ( my moms mom)before she died in a hospital alone! My youngest sons father moved to Texas for school an I applied for jobs even had interviews out in Texas just to be closer to him so we can be a family but he always says just wait till he graduates to move out there so he tells me to move in with his mom in Indiana so here I am losing my mind in Indiana because I just wanted to provide for my boys an love my child's father! Is he helping me because I'm depressed knowing I'm not in Texas an here by myself for real. My mom also has changed not the same woman I remember! |
Question: His text responds are short? What does this mean? Posted: 30 Nov 2018 03:32 PM PST I've been talking to this guy and he responds to texts with short answers. We constantly text and even when I don't respond, he gets upset and texts to see if I'm okay. Is he just bad at conversation? When we hang, he hardly holds a conversation. But he's such a wonderful person and that's what I'm attracted to. I really hope he likes me |
