My daughter is graduating from high school. She took a multiple choice test in one of her classes. After she got her grade we were reviewing the test and found one of the questions with NO correct answer. If that question were not in the test her grade for the course would be high enough that she probably would have qualified for a college scholarship. We went to the school to asked that she get a new grade on the test after throwing out the question that did not have a correct answer. Both the teacher and the principal refused. They told us that once a grade is recorded, it can not be changed for ANY reason. We are considering our options. We are talking about a LOT OF MONEY riding on the outcome of this. Here are some of the things we are thinking about. Post the whole story on YOUTUBE and hope it will go viral and change the schools mine about changing the grade. OR Contacting the local newspaper and TV stations to see if they will give this some publicity. OR Contacting other parents whose children may have been victims of the same test. OR Suing the school board. Any advice on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated. Is there another option I have not considered.

I broke my leg and have to depend on a family member for almost everything but the person keeps giving me hell with torrents of verbal crap,I keep getting worked up over it so much that I can't even sleep

I am 13. My parents have been divorced since I was 1. Since then I have lived mostly with my bio mom. I live with her 9 days and then my dad and step mom 5 days and it keeps going like that except for summer it's a whole month with my dad and step mom. When i am at my dads and step moms it's different then at my bio moms. I have 2 siblings at my dads. My step mom cooks for me every day, we go shopping, go to the movies, she buys me stuff I want and let's me go stay with friends and stuff like that. She treats me really well and never yells at me. My dad yells at me sometimes but never my step mom. We always have fun and she is so nice to me and says she loves me as much as her other kids and wishes she could adopt me so I wouldn't have to go back to my awful moms house. I really wish they would just adopt me. My bio mom doesnt have a husband. She dates guys when I am at my dads. She tries to cook dinner for me when she can but she works ALL day and never has time for me until she gets off work at like 8 at night cuz shes a nurse and until she gets off work I have to stay with my grandma and she takes care of me. My bio mom is always yelling at me to do my homework and pick up after myself, my step mom cleans everything for me including my room and idk why my bio mom cant be as nice. My bio mom never let's me go to stay with my friends unless she knows them and talks to their moms. She doesnt take me shopping or the movies or anything because she "never has money for it"

My sister spends money irresponsibly. Last year she got me a coffee maker for Christmas. She asked if I drink coffee and I said yea but I never asked her to get me a coffee maker. I didn't know she was going to buy me one. So I was mad. Moreover our family is Jewish so we aren't even supposed to celebrate Christmas, but ever since she was little she was very devoted to this holiday. She is hosting Christmas at her apartment this year, which no one in the family celebrates, so she invites her friends (ironically most are Jewish). She invited me this year and I said as long as you don't give me a gift to which she replied "why"?

So we went up to the hospital where the baby was born to see her (my new half sister) my dad and his gf Rita. They both work together so some of their co workers popped in and out too. My dad is 29 years senior to Rita as well. Anyways, someone was talking about not getting enough sleep and he brought up his recent bout of kidney stones which was like 2 weeks earlier. He said "When you're passing kidney stones, you lose a bunch of sleep! And when I was done all I ended up with was two little rocks in a cup!" Rita said "I told you it was quite an accomplishment!" Most laughed at that. Why does he always bring up his kidney stone stories about him peeing them out? I've heard these before and he's had quite a few over the years. I remember one time when I was younger and hearing him in the bathroom trying to expell one of them. He was really vocal when peeing them out so they really do must hurt, but don't think it's something to be proud of.

Does he have an inferiority complex?

When I share my goals or ideas with them they don't support me or encourage healthy behaviour. Like for example the other day I was telling my sister how I wanted to start working out 5x a week again because depression has taken over my life but I want to do something about it. All she said was "If you work out then you'll lose your booth" I replied, clearly you don't understand working out because I do squats in my workout routine. Then after that she didn't say anything supportive or encouraging. But if I were to vent and be pitiful she would send me paragraphs saying she understands me blah blah and throw in some gossip about other family members even though she'll go hang out with them after. Like why do I even bother being open about my depression and goals with people who I thought care about me. I'm also starting therapy for the first time ever soon so I'm hoping that will help me cope better with this.

(I'll start of saying my parents have been separated since I was a baby.) A few things I've noticed on my Dad's side of his family, is that they NEVER smile and rarely show expressions of happiness. They might smile or smirk for pictures. I am not like that, my mom raised me with hugs, smiles, laughter and to be outgoing. My dad & I aren't very close, even though he's always been in my life, when I'm around him though I kind of feel like I'm hanging out with an emotionless person. It's really draining to be around because I always feel like he's never proud of me or excited to see me. Last time I went to visit family on his side I walked up with a smile on my face, arms out, and got rejected. My aunt basically turned away and was staring at my dad like he is the only reason I'm alive. I'm pretty sure my dads mom raised them in a narcissistic cycle. Like their only purpose in life is to work a 9-5 and do nothing with their lives. To me they are the typical brainwashed consumers that the government likes. Work, consume, pay bills , then die. How can people live their lives that way? Never smile or excited to see other people, no affection or emotional support or offer encouragement and enthusiasm. It's like healthy convos that require constructive critisism is scary to them. All the women married rich guys, barely work, never express love or appreciation either. I'm confused how emotionless they are. Not full blow individual narcassists just some traits?

Okay so I am 21(F), i always have this thought on my mind that I will die in a very young age or maybe soon. Idk why it scares the hell out of me. It's not that this thought is on my mind daily but it comes and go after some days or months. I am happy with my parents and siblings. What should I do. Plz help. I know eventually we all have to die but I want to fet rid of this thought

The current arrangement with my kids father, set by him, is that they are with him for 24hrs every 3 weeks. Half of this time is spent traveling (we live a distance apart) or sleeping. I ve been considering proposing a change in the situation as 1. We are all tired of traveling to and fro for a 24hr visit. And 2. The kids don t really get a chance to spend quality time with or get to know their father in this short visit. I personally feel they would get more out of a longer visit, once a year. Compact the year s worth of visits into a couple week visit in the summer. This reduces traveling while giving the opportunity to really spend time with dad. Of course calls and video chats would be allowed and what not in the meantime. I had someone voice that this may be more difficult for the children because they would "essentially be left with a stranger for two weeks" . I am here to get more opinions.

Sometimes my sister who is around age 35 comes over to visit and recently her 6 year old has been asking to play my PS4. I said yes he could play, even though I'm the type of person who doesn't enjoy people touching my stuff, especially younger kids. So she also has a 3 year old son who is sick with the flu. She asked if he could play and I said "no" since he is only 3 and is sick with the flu and I'm going away on vacation in a few days and don't want to get sick since I get sick very easily. So she was angry at my for saying "no" and started talking badly about me very loudly. About a half-hour later, the 3 year old comes in and sees his older brother playing so he started crying, apparently wanting to play the PS4 as well. She started to say "auntie said no" and then she snaps and says "she's so f****** mean" and "it's not fair to let one kid play and not the other." It seems everytime she comes over she starts a fight with me. As she was saying all these bad things about me, I just sat down all calm and didn't say anything back. Now here is my question- am I really a bad person in this case or was there no reason for her to get angry like that? Thanks!

Before you think child abuse, I'm 21. I don't know if it is sexual. He will walk up and slap my butt or grab it or "jiggle" it. It didn't used to bother me until it hit me that it was weird and i started getting really uncomfortable. I tell him to stop and he doesn't. Also, no, my mom pays no attention to it. He's also controlling in other aspects such as what i can wear, who i can be around, and is very strict. Honestly, it sounds like he falls into the perfect category of an abuse partner except he's my step dad. I don't know what to do.

These mistakes were not cought until later. 1) lead instead of led three times 2) weekley instead of weekly 3) a instead of an am i screwed? okay so my sister is three years older than me, and she never got a sweet 16, even though we were planning one. the plan kind of fell through. but i kind of do everything for my parents, and she is more spoiled and mean, etc. i always take on all the responsibilities, and as conceited as it sounds, i think i really deserve one. i understand that my mom doesn't have a lot of money, but my dad definitely does (they're separated). and i don't want anything extravagant. maybe just like a super small venue that's affordable and not too unreasonable. i also understand that it's not very fair to my sister, and i don't want her to feel slighted. it's just that i really want this. it's all i'm asking for for christmas and not for anything, but i've never had a birthday party. never. my sister used to have parties all the time with her friends growing up, and as much as i asked, i never got one. so what do you suggest i do to convince my parents? how do i make it happen without hurting my sister? thanks!!

Hi, I am a 15 y/o living in Ohio and I want to live with my mother. My dad's fiancee and son just moved in and her son is extremely rude to me, hes 19. I do not like my dads fiancee and son because they are the reason why I tried to commit suicide last year. The problem is, my dad gets me mon-fri and my mom gets me fri night-sun night. They live in different cities and I go to school in the city that my dad lives in. my mom lives 30 mins away but I don't think she is willing to drive me there and back every day. How do I handle this? How can my mom get full custody?

If you guys think I am bugging you about this so much is because you guys are not giving me the answer I want to hear like you are a spoiled brat which I am not, Try asking your parents and that does not work for me at all because I get NO. Here I go: I am 16 years old and a Sophomore in High School and since I was 12 years old I have was struggling with face-to-face conversations and when I was 11 years old and younger I could have face-to-face conversations all the time, and since my freshman year I was getting a little better at face-to-face conversations. I have also gone 4 and half weeks without my phone and it is hard for me to go without an electronic device because I need it to get in contact with my, parents, brother, my aunt, and grandma sometimes, also to to talk to my friends and make plans with them. I have done a lot in 4 and half week with face-to-face conversations and my parents don't think so, and my mom has seen me make conversations with people and my dad has once because he is only home on Friday through Sunday because he is an over the road truck driver. A big thing that I really obsesses with was my radio that I charished since I was 6 years old and my 8th grade year of November 2016 to March 2017 I Lost my radio that I listened music to do with my homework and I was 5 months I had that taken away. and the only time I go to listen to music was Friday night to Sunday Night on my Ipad and I wanted to scream Monday through Thursday everyday because I did not have my radio to listen to music while doing homework, and this what I don't want to happen again with my phone situation. My parents say I am addicted to my phone and I tell them I am not because I have not had my phone for 4 and half weeks and the only person addicted to their phone is my brother because he texts and texts constantly and ignores you and shuts you out of talking to him. My brother got his phone taken away the same time I did and then after two weeks he asked if he can have his phone back and they said Yes and I asked and they said NO and we got in this huge fude over it. and I was the one who asked for an Iphone since the 7th grade and if I was the one who really wanted an Iphone then my parents should not be taking it away so much from me. Me vs. My brother about our phones: Me first if I am with a group or one one one with someone of people I don't go one my phone to be one it I engage and interact with people, my brother with a group of people or one on one with someone he pulls out his phone and gabs with other people not the people sometimes in front of him. If we are in the car as a family I am only on my phone for a second, but otherwise I am talking to my parents or watching my parents drive, but my brother he is texting his friends watching youtube, and do other crap on his phone. If it is one on one I am talking to them or I will be on my phone for a split second or minute, but mason he will talk to my parents or is on his phone more than I am on it. What should I do to tell my parents that I am responsible to have a phone, that I really do need my phone, and that I am the better kid to have a phone than my brother.

My sister loves Queen we they're doing a Bohemiam Rhapsody tour next summer we might go see them she's really excited we know someone who might be able to help her meet them she really wants to see them she also wants to meet Brian she has a crush on him she said he's so cute. She's never met an English person before she's kind of nervous if she meets him she wouldn't know what to say she wouldn't want to say something that would offend him. She knows that the British have different words for different things also there's lots of bad words in the British language too. She said she's gonna start studying British language so she doesn't say something stupid or offensive to him if she meets them. She said she be so embarrassed if she said the wrong thing to them.
