We became facebook friends before meeting and chat here and there(he went away for a month to guide in another country) so we couldnt meet in person but chatted on messenger. Looking at his pics, im attracted to him. Id assume after a coupld months of chatting he would be interested in me as well if he still chats and plans to meet in person this week? |

He's really clingy and he has a lot of issues. My family wont be with me and I don't have a lot of close friends. His popularity, intimidates me and makes me distrustful and I am worried that he might be a playboy. I have already told him I can't be in a relationship right now due to some personal issues. He doesn't believe me and thinks I'm dismissing him. Honestly,I like him so much but I'm very guarded and private, I have been through a lot in my life and I am working on my self esteem. I saw that he liked some girls photos on IG and I just broke down and started crying so hard because I feel like he won't wait for me and I know I shouldn't expect him to wait either. We were on bad terms for about a week and I had so much on my chest but was not able to get it out since he wasn't ready to talk, so I was not myself at all. My mom and I are very close, she knew about everything throughout the time we were together, both the good and the bad, she loved him from the minute she met him, etc. Recently, with everything going on, I've had a whole range of emotions. I got to a point where I almost had an anxiety attack and I've shed lots of tears. Him and I are on good terms now that we finally had the space that was needed and got to talk things out in person, BUT he told me something I had to promise him I would not repeat. My mother reached out to him telling him how disappointed she was, how hurt she could tell I was, and basically sticking up for me saying how loyal and honest I was even after some of the things I was put through. She told him over and over not to tell me because she knew I'd be upset. I am LIVID. I am 21 years old and can handle my own battles. I know she was looking out for me and hates seeing me get hurt, but seriously?! I don't know what to do because it is eating me alive and I can't even talk to her about it. I can't talk to anyone in my family because I'm afraid it'll get back to her, then back to him. But now I can't even trust my own mother. What do I do? |

This girl is one of the most intelligent, funny, and beautiful people I've come to know, but now I'm having second thoughts. We've been talking enough over the school year for me to even think about asking her out, but we drifted after school ended because our excuse to hang/talk was schoolwork. In the last few weeks, she's gone from 400 Instagram followers to 1000+ on her private account and has begun to take, in my opinion, too much effort into getting likes, comments, and other acknowledgement of her social media presence. Hell, why else would she accept hundreds of follow requests from strangers on the internet. This leads me to believe that she's just another one of those stereotypical, cookie-cutter popular white girls that care nothing but to look good in front of others over anything, not the uniquely down to earth girl that didn't care about her image I used to adore. It's probably douchey of me to say, but I associate a greater Instagram presence with shallow people whose lives are dictated by being popular. So am I being shallow myself? Do I let the opportunity go and move on with my life (we've already drifted apart already) or is judging her for all this an irrational overreaction? I'd hope it's the latter, and I applaud you if you took the time to read through this sad rambling of mine. |

He always wanted to be with me, but was in a toxic relationship for 7 years with his child's mother. He finally got out of that relationship to work on things with me. We've had a strong connection from day 1. His family fell in love with me the day they met me, same with my family. Problem is, it all happened too fast. He went from that relationship to me because I'm everything he's ever wanted, when in reality, he wasn't emotionally ready to give me what I deserve. We got attached too quick. Last week, 6 months in, we decided to end things and work on a friendship. He needs time to find himself, work on his life, and be the best father he can be. I respect this. We talked it all out in person last night and seem to be on the same page. We want to be friends and be there for eachother, but we also love each other. Looking eachother in the eye during this conversation yesterday, all we wanted to do was lean over and kiss one another. He told me I don't deserve to wait around for him to figure out his life. He said he wants me to be happy, even if that involves another guy. He said he's never put another girls happiness before his until me. Truth is, I do deserve more than I was getting and I know it's not fair for me to wait, but I've never had this connection with anyone. I want him in my life, even if it's just as a friend. But how does a friendship work when both feelings are so strong? I've never been through this. Any advice helps. |
