Question: How can I calm my friend down ? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 05:59 PM PDT My 2 best friends are getting married tonight one of them is really scared she's wondering if she made the right choice to be a lesbian and marry another girl. She said she's really afraid I don't know why she is she's marrying my best friend. I'm also a lesbian I have a girlfriend so I know how she feels. Though I still don't understand why she's so worried she can't stop crying. How can I calm her down ? What should I say to her ? |
Question: Friendship advice please??!? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 05:52 PM PDT My best friend since pre school won't text me back. I just apologized for not talking to her for 2 months because we got into a fight and she made me cry for an hour in the bathroom stall at school. I said sorry and that I overreacted. What do I say now? B*tch the ball is in your court? Why tf are you ignoring me? |
Question: Why is my ex so angry with me? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 05:39 PM PDT My ex broke up with me, told me that we could remain friends (which I think is bs) and insists me to move on even though I wanted to work things out. I did what I was told and tried moving on. He eventually deleted me on social media because I was basically living my life and he got "tired of it tbh". Don't know what that meant but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He claims we're "friends" when a social gathering occurs with our mutual friends, he makes sure that I don't come or decides not to come himself. When I hang out with a mutual friend, he acts like he doesn't care by saying "Idc we barely talk anyway" which was false at the time, he was always replying to my stories, watching my every move. Two days later after hanging out with a mutual friend, he sends me a paragraph explaining that we are still friends and he respects that and if ever I want to hang out with him or that mutual friend(s), let him know. ... Which makes no sense. Recently, I borrowed my mother's car to that mutual friend because my mom is currently overseas and me and him and couple of other friends planned a trip and we needed a car to get there. My ex found out about it and he's mad at my friend, and I fail to understand why. The car has nothing to do with him. I just don't understand why he's wasting so much time and energy on a person he claims he wants nothing to do with. i've been so neutral and distant from him and it seems like he's pulling me back when he pushed me away. I don't get it? (No h8 comments) |
Question: Why does she (Dasia) do this? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 04:50 PM PDT There is a girl that goes to my school that taps her book (or whatever she reads) with the eraser of her pencil. She talks, hums, mumbles, or sings to herself when she's alone. She walks in circles or paces in a straight line sometimes too. And she does this weird thing with her fingers; She moves them around in different directions like finger stretching (that's a thing). my friends think there is something wrong with her because she is in special, and she's apparently weird, in their opinion. They even call her voodoo girl because of this. You can call her Dasia (not her real name of course). She's a little older than I am, but she's in my grade level. She has good social skills and friends. She doesn't get bullied. For some reason, my friends talk about her a lot and mock her. But Dasia is a good and nice person. Why does she act like that though? Anyone know what this behavior could be linked to? One of her friends I asked said that she had a brain hemorrhage at birth. P.S. you might be wondering "why do you want to know so badly" or "what's it to you". I just want to know. P.P.S. I know this may seem like a bullshit post or like I'm a troll, but oh well. |
Question: I want to take her out. Please help????? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 04:49 PM PDT Theres a girl I work with and we used to go out, But at the end she ended things (long story) We didnt end on bad terms and we are still good with eachother. We talk when we see eachother, and we text once a while. A couple days ago I asked her if she wanted to go eat tomorrow, she said "I'd love too but I'll let you know :)." She still hasnt said anything about it, plus I saw her today but she didnt mention anything to me. Should I tell her if she still wants to go eat with me????? I dont want to look desperate. Shes quitting in 2 weeks, so I want to take her out before she leaves |
Question: Im 12 and my friend died, how do i deal with it.? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 04:23 PM PDT im in the sixth grade and one of my cpose friends had cancer, we all thought he was doing so good, today i got the bees that he passed and i dont know what to do, no adult i talk to understands. |
Question: Is this a form of harassment ? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 04:07 PM PDT A friend of a friend (someone) I don't know that well found a couple of my old dating profiles from many years ago. I had forgot all about them needless to say I cringed reading my old profiles and was embarrassed but I seem to be getting laughed at for it. I took them both down right away. My friends have been acting weird around me. Just the other day I found a printed paper of my old profile in my mailbox. I laughed it off as a friend being stupid and threw it away but my friends said they didn't do it. Should I be concerned. All of this is just bizarre at how juvenile some can be. |
Posted: 29 Jul 2018 02:42 PM PDT My friend's mom is fashionable, actually works, and is besy friends with my dad and my mom gets so jealous of all of that. My mom spreads all these rumors about my friend's mom that have hurt her and my dad a lot. My friend's mom has never come on to my dad or gone for anything more than a friendship but my mom still spreads those kind of rumors about my dad and her. She's paranoid about every girl around him because he cheated on her once. Me and friend's mom are close, considering she's way more open minded than mine. My mom always makes me feel guilty for talking to her! She makes it so that she's the victim and I'm the bitchy child replacing her as my mother. My mom "warns" me about her saying she's not good for me and stuff but I know that's cause she thinks I'm being "stolen" away from her. I can't stand that she makes me feel guilty for no reason. Im not replacing my mother just because I'm friends with another one. My mom hates me accepting gifts from her and I just hate that she's so wrong and paranoid and manipulative and guiltifying. Should I really stop being friends with my friend's mom? |
Question: Do you believe people are inherently "good"? I DON'T.? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 01:53 PM PDT I used to believe that old saying that ppl are inherently good but at age 32, I found out otherwise. I think ppl can b loyal to family and close friends, but outside of that? FORGET IT. They are often ruthless and cruel. That's what I'm talking about. I've been treated like garbage, nothing, an animal by people who don't know me well. These people are often narcissist w/ no evidence to prove how great they are, but that's why the behave that way: cuz they know they can't earn it the honest way. This selfishness is the root of all evil. I had TWO "friends" turn on me, for these reasons. So maybe ppl can appear "good" on the surface. But if u get them in a bind, some of them can turn on their "Friends". I no longer believe in (absolute) goodness. If anything, it's merely conditional. |

Question: Why do fake friends exist? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 12:42 PM PDT -when they never text you -cancel plans every time -show you they truly don't care about you -smile in your face and act fake -only talk when they see you It was never meant to be a friendship. It's not like they came to me. |
Question: Be-friending your 'drug' dealer... BIGGEST MISTAKE one could ever make...? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 11:06 AM PDT Yeah, anyway, I just happened to see my former weed seller after a year or so... I didn't make contact, he just passed by any I didn't make my presence known... Anyway, back in the day, I was buddies with him. He was the neighborhood weed seller and I'd say we were friends, but eventually the relationship was detrimental... I eventually ended up losing a vehicle and a laptop just via being friends with my dealer.... And I came to attest to the fact that be-friending your dealer is the biggest mistake you could ever make... anyway, just saying.... Lucky for me, weed/marijuana smoking is past tense... I didn't do it for the Highness but rather it made me normal and eventually came to be diagnosed with ADHD and 36MG of concerta makes me normal... Anyway.. Don't be-friend your dealer, you're gonna loose...I can assure you that. |
Question: Are we doing something wrong with our boss at work? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 10:54 AM PDT I work in an office with 12 other women. We are all single or divorced. Our boss Bill is a 28 year old great looking single guy. Besides being our boss Bill is a good friend to all of us and just a fun person to be around. Instead of not wanting to come to work, we all enjoy our job mostly because of Bill. One day at a staff meeting one of us asked Bill, "how do I find someone rich to marry?" Bill said I don't know but if you find out, please let me know. Another one of us said, "Does that mean you would marry me if I was rich"? Bill said "if your are rich, please answer 2 questions for me. "What is your ring size and where will we go on our honeymoon". To which she replied "That is the first marriage proposal I have ever had". We all had a GOOD LAUGH at that conversation. Later talking to other employees about this, they told us we should not be talking to our boss like this. It shows disrespect to our boss. We thought we were just having fun. What do you think? Were we doing something wrong with our boss? |

Question: Why is my crush comfortable with me now? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 10:06 AM PDT He used to be quiet, shy, and nervous to the point he wouldn't make eye contact! Now, he's changed around me by being able to make eye contact and being more confident around me, always what and how I am doing and compliments me. He even cares if he's bothering me or if I didn't being called ma'am. |
Question: How can I feel better about this? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 09:46 AM PDT Hi there, I'm 15 years old and have moved house a few moths ago. It's about a half hour drive and over an hour by train from where I used to live and I still go to school there and all my friends are there so I want to go and see them regularly. Moving school is not an option as I have started GCSES so I would not be able and don't really want to. It's just annoying when I can't come to group meetups as I can't get there and I then spend the whole day being bored. How do you think I can help myself feel better about this ? Thanks. |
Posted: 29 Jul 2018 09:24 AM PDT Hello long time no see, how you been doing these days, I'm doing good, now living in another town, working for another company and am enjoying life in general. Listen I wanna apologize for the previous messages I've sent you about me having problems with another friend who i was having issues with., I did eventually forgave him for what happened and made amends with him sometime before I've moved. I also learned that I should never try to change myself to impress others and to get them to like me, I also want to apologize for doing something that has caused you to block me on Facebook. The last thing I've meant to do was disrespect you because you're a really nice, cool person who is a lot of fun to be around and I admire your ability of wanting to succeed and to do well in life. |
Question: Feeling anxious about people finding out? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 07:02 AM PDT I got with two boys at Uni, one of which is my friends friend and they are quite protective for her sake who has got with him and now I feel really anxious they will find out. They know he was flirting with me. I also got with my now housemates ex-boyfriend, although this is when we weren't friends or house mates, a few people know and worried she will find out? I feel so anxious, please help * I got with a boy, and I have mutual friends with his ex girlfriend, they don't like girls that get with him. However I am not friends with the ex girlfriend and he pursued me all night and they know he was being flirty with me |
Question: Did my co workers do something wrong with me? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 06:36 AM PDT The boss in the department I work for took a 3 week vacation and appointed me to take his place while he was away. I thought there might be a problem having a lot of men working for a woman (me) but that was not the case. We all had a nice working relationship. On the Friday the day before our boss returned from vacation my coworkers brought in a cake for me to share with everyone. The cake had this written on it. "You were a great boss and the most beautiful boss we have ever had". The Human Relations guy told my co workers not to do that again as it was a sexual thing to do. The next Monday when our boss returned from vacation my co workers told our boss what the Human Relations guy had told them. He said "Screw the Human Relations guy". "I agree 100 percent with what was written on the cake". I am not sure how I should feel about this. Should I tell my boss and my co workers thank you for the compliment? Did my co workers do something wrong? |
Question: What does it mean when a guy tilts his head to the side and smiles? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 05:51 AM PDT My friend and I were hanging out together in a room by ourselves. After he was done talking to me, we were both quiet. He stared at me with his head tilted to the side and he was smiling. What does this mean? What was he thinking while he was giving me this look? |

Question: Are this weird concidence? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 01:42 AM PDT So yestersday i spoke to my elder sister .during our conversation she told me that she had a nightmare about my father passing away..on the next night shr had anothet nightmare about us having an accident..the 3rd night had a dream about us going to a party to a friend's house..and concidentally, that girl friend recently changed her profile picture on whatsapp ( a pic with her mum) and the weird part is that she never puts pictures of her mum..okay And today while i was going to tuition my dad randomly asked us who had open the gate and while joking around he told ohh i though our dog had hands..however afterwards he told us ohh our dog would not go out ..and out of nowhere he told " our dog will have an accident if he goes on the road..why mention accident he never says such things..i ignored it..but when i came back from tuition my mother was cleaning with a detergent suddenly told wait let me clean it before you have an accident on your shirt.. and just after that she told me she just watched a avideo about a dog showing loyalty and it was waiting at the bus station for ages after the owner died. Im kind of in shock right now..why will they be mentionning accident so much..its really bothering me..why such concidence .. am i overthinking..im scared |
Question: Why do people do this? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 12:38 AM PDT Why do you people make fun of me for having cancer? I really don't understand how it's funny. I have had multiple people in my life make fun of me for this even though I bet most of them had a family member with cancer. What should I say to these people when they make fun of me? |
Question: Is it alright to talk about my abuse to my abuser? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 12:17 AM PDT It all started in middle school that my friend decided to abuse me. They would physically abuse me and sometimes emotionally as well. I have never had friends through elementary nor through the start of middle, but here someone comes and tells me abuse like this is normal for starting friendships, for them. And so every new friend I met, I believed that if they didn't abuse me, they didn't like me enough. But that was years ago as I am now in high school. But it has effected me severely, I flinch every time someone moves towards me or simply puts their hands in the air. I have tried to talk to them before about why they did it. But they have told me I'm not allowed to talk about it, as they have changed, even though they still hit me sometimes. I want to persist, but I don't want to be "annoying." So is it alright to still try to talk about it even though they always try to shut me down about it and say I'm not allowed too anymore?? |
Question: Excuses for parents to go to party? Posted: 28 Jul 2018 11:32 PM PDT So me and my friend are going to our old friend's Quinceañera and after I'm going to my friend's house to stay over for the night. But if I tell my parents that I'm going to one, they're going to make me wear a dress or something (I'm a transgender man, pre-t) any excuses? |
Question: I only have one friend in my life, except he is a bad influence on me. What should I do? Posted: 28 Jul 2018 11:15 PM PDT I moved out of state to work a job and me being a shy and quiet guy I have trouble making new friends. Well the one friend I did make (he was also new but was there 2 months before I was) is definitely a bad example. I don't want to complain or seem that I am, but the big issue I have is that he has no respect for our superiors in the work force or to anyone in general. A couple of other things are that he has a very dark sense of humor where he makes fun of Jews in the holocaust, stuff like that. What would you do in this situation? Stay friends with this guy and try to not get influenced or break it off and have no friends? *I am trying to make new friends outside of my work but again, being quiet and shy is making it a tad difficult* |
Question: Where and how do people make friendships? Posted: 28 Jul 2018 10:43 PM PDT My father was a marine and we were stationed somewhere new every two years until I was 12. I've moved since graduating high school and have been working 60+ hours a week for a while now. When I do catch a easy 40 hour week I have no idea what to do with my time or where to go, I find myself sleeping more, or spending more time at the gym. I get along with my coworkers but often feel awkward around them, my therapist has said it's probably just incompatibility. I feel very alone and would like to make a change. |
Question: Unavoidable drama help? Posted: 28 Jul 2018 09:21 PM PDT There was a guy I was talking to in my community- he was a mutual to a good friend of mine and we got along great! We got talking and he asked if on FB if I had previously blocked him. I had once before because I heard terrible things about him but eventually unblocked him because I saw he was reconciling for his actions and I wanted to give him a chance. When he asked I lied and said I didn't... It was cowardly and I am ashamed for it but he saw through it and said something to someone but never let it on to me. Anyways, one day he apparently messaged a friend of mine saying he can't stand me and I'm such a yes man and I'm so annoying and was angry over a joke I made online with my face on it- saying I'm only trying to show off my pretty face. Meanwhile while he's talking about me negatively he's sending me memes, his new haircut, I'm even asking him for advice and he's telling me to chin up and get some rest and get over X thing I was upset over. He recently unfriended me on everything because I exposed his friend whose a friend of mine as well who was inappropriately telling me about women while having a girlfriend- and he switched this flip on me and decided because of this he can't trust me and I don't care about anyone. Do I confront him or ignore him? I miss our friendship and we both made mistakes. But if I tell him what I know I would be throwing my friend under the bus who told me about it. It's such a small community. |

Question: I can't stop thinking about my ex-friend.? Posted: 28 Jul 2018 08:43 PM PDT I don't know whether this is guilt or something else, but I had a friend who I unintentionally cut ties with when I hung up a phone call. I tried to contact her but her mom told me that she didn't want her daughter talking to me. I didn't say anything bad, either. That happened a year ago and now I still can't stop thinking about her, and wishing I could speak to her. She is also really poor so I want to see how she's doing. I just wish I could have the chance to make things right and possibly become friends again, and I fantasize about talking to her now. I'm 13, what should I do? (We live in different states) Also, her blocked my number so I can't contact her. Also she doesn't have social media |
Question: Is it still in the age range to be doing this still? Posted: 28 Jul 2018 08:02 PM PDT My friend is from Brazil and recently started graduate school here in the US. She is 27. Anyways we had a house party a few days ago to start of the year. And she went all ham and took way too Many shots and she ended up dancing and blacked out. She woke up and told me she didn't remember anything in the night. She said it's her first time blacking out ever in her life. I guess she wanted to have fun in an new place |
Question: How do I nicely tell an ex friend I don’t want to hang out with him... ever again? Posted: 28 Jul 2018 07:53 PM PDT So a good friend of mine from high school was put in jail a few months after we graduated for child porn. He's now been released from jail and he wants to hang out. The thing is though, I was always the youngest looking out of our friend group and he was closer to me than he was to anyone else in the group (except for another young looking girl in the group that he was OBSESSED with.) he would hang out with us more than anyone else and he would talk to us too about a lot of things too. When we found out he was in jail we were all super worried... then we found out it was for child porn and some things kind of clicked in our minds... things that just didn't make sense in high school started to make sense... and now that he's out of jail he wants to hang out with me and he constantly texts me. He'll even come to my work to see when we can hang out. It's really annoying and I can't take it anymore. I want to be nice to him but I also want him to know that I just don't want to hang out with him... I feel uncomfortable around him. I've always looked young for my age (I'm 20 but I look 12) so the thought of hanging out with him after what he did freaks me out. So how do I nicely tell him that I don't want to hang out with him... ever again? -Abby |

Question: Am I in the wrong for asking for more money? Posted: 28 Jul 2018 07:13 PM PDT Okay I babysit Monday-Friday from 1-4 PM I watch 3 kids ages 4, 2 and 7 months. I been fine with $100 with what we agreed upon, but the kids have been eating more snacks being hungry and they usually eat before they come and eat dinner at home. I asked if I could have $20 extra on my week to help for their snacks etc and just got a dirty look from the Mom. Said she was gonna talk about it with her Husband, but never got back to me. |
