Question: Don't understand romantic relationships? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 09:57 PM PDT I don't understand romantic relationships. You guys may believe I'm being biased because I've never had a crush on anyone and never had a boyfriend. (I'm straight/heterosexual) But anyways, I'll explain from my viewpoint: When I say I don't understand romance, I'm not just saying that to try and sound "cool." I literally mean psychologically I can't understand romantic relationships. I don't understand why romance is over other relationships (family, friends, etc...) This whole perception of your romantic partner being your soulmate and your number one priority is only effective when you're in a relationship with that person. The minute you and that person break up/divorce, you hate them. Marriage as well...Just because you're married your spouse is your number one priority? If you and that person divorce, you're fighting for custody over the kids, the house, the cars and some cases like on Snapped and Fatal Attraction your same "soulmate" ends up dead! Yet when you were married that was your life and air. I feel like family and friends are more important. Not to say family and friends don't do the same, but I feel like romantic relationships are a very sad thing to prioritize as #1, because when they end, the hatred is so strong you wouldn't give a quater too to that person if they were homeless and you wouldn't even spit on them if they were on fire. So how are a romantic relationship the most important, when the minute you guys are done their magically non-existent? |

Question: Should wives be paid by their husbands to be homemakers? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 07:42 PM PDT I recently saw an article about a man who gives his wife a salary for staying home with the kids. They made this deal because the wife gave up her career to be a full time mother so that her husband could continue his career. According to him, the arrangement makes them both happy and he suggested that more husbands should do the same for their wives in order to re pay them for their sacrifices. It struck me as rather absurd at first, but once I thought more about it, it makes some degree of sense. Society seems to expect women to give up everything for motherhood, and if some spending money helps a wife not to resent the arrangement, I can see where the logic comes from. But I'm curious what others think? Would you ever consider doing something like this in your household? |

Question: Should I deal with or be intimate with this guy? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 05:14 PM PDT I met this guy through a friend then months ago we started talking on social media. Found out he is married. He is a African and married to this American white women. He tells me even though he lives with her that he is married to her so they he can get a special type of work visa so he can get better jobs. He has tried to be intimate with me multiple times even going so far as to show me texts where his wife kicked him out claiming they are not married no more, but he could have not possibly been unmarried so soon. They are just going thru issues now. He tried to be intimate with me under the premise he only married her to get a work visa and its not real. It just sounds messy. He tried to have sex with me while my period was on. |

Posted: 29 Jul 2018 01:06 PM PDT So my long term boyfriend 5 years have a kid together. Were not married by choice because of me. I feel like we have a good system and I don't want to change it. I feel marriage changes the relationship. anyway I told my mom I wanted another baby. and my mom is making me feel bad saying that its horrible for a woman to be going through this. She said its very devastating to her to be going through this and a lot of my family members are making me feel worse. How do I tell my mom to back off nicely? They're saying im a black sheep in the family because its tradition to get married before having kids. |

Posted: 29 Jul 2018 12:22 PM PDT I have a daughter who started calling me daddy and she loves to stay with me. She even starts to cry when my ex girlfriend (her mom) comes pick her up. Although she's married and is keeping my baby girl. She told me the last time she came to pick her up that she didn't like the idea of my daughter calling me daddy and that she doesn't appreciate the fact that I am "manipulating" my daughter that she doesn't want to go with her. I am not manipulating my 3 year old daughter. She said that her husband spends more time with my daughter than I and that I don't deserve to be called a father since I have PTSD, and a lot of mental illness, which I have under control and that is why I get her shared custody. I love my daughter why is it bugging my ex that my daughter actually loves me? Is there something I can say to my ex, to make her understand that I am doing everything I can to be a good father to our daughter? |

Posted: 29 Jul 2018 11:18 AM PDT What if the 10 year relationship was not consistant and more of an on and off deal. Also what if there was cheating during those 10 years and a baby conceived outside the relationship. The last time he was forgiven he asked to marry her and set a date. When it got close to that date he made every excuse as to why they weren't ready. |
Question: Is this possible? Email sent to self? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 10:32 AM PDT My fiancé has an email he sent himself on him and his ex wife s anniversary (the day before our anniversary). He sent himself pictures of his ex wife. They were in the trash on his email. There were also links for the google photos he texted himself. He says he didn t email himself. Is it possible that he didn t email himself? This happened two days ago. |
Question: Is it okay to want to improve a relationship? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 10:28 AM PDT My fiance and I are distant now unfortunately. We saw each other almost 2 weeks ago. Our communication is excellent when were face to face, but when we text it's difficult, because both of us aren't really the texting type of people. What I also want to improve is how I communicate emotionally. I tend to scramble my emotions and my fiance misunderstands. Is it okay to want to improve? We're not getting married until we move into an apartment together in late 2020. I just feel like if we're getting married soon we should have everything set straight. |

Question: No solution to my situation? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 08:45 AM PDT I thought my wide would feel some remorse for smashing the home and hitting her mum. But I'm hated so much now because I called the police and she was charged twice. Right now she still talks with me about divorce. About not wanting to be intimate. Not wanting to travel anywhere with me (for years she went back to China alone). This time she claimed to be going back to another guy as a backup. She hasn't said that to me before...I told her to cut it out and stop being ridiculous. I honestly can't believe that. But after almost 10 years of her constantly finding reasons not to kiss me, swearing at me, calling me stupid, useless, breaking objects etc. I don't know anymore. I do not think our marriage can be fixed. She used her and her parents money to purchase our unit but didn't have residency so put it in my name. It may not be right, but I'm trying to claim it as my home because I've been paying all of the mortgage since we moved in. We have a 3 month old son. She doesn't want him if we divorce. She wants my parents to take him for 3 weeks soon because her parents have been out from China to care of him. We still have to go through the courts for her violence charge. Of course it's my fault because I called the cops. It's a nothe r reason for her to say she doesn't want to kiss me. For years like that. She claims to miss the feeling as well. I'm wondering if she will cheat on me soon. After all, our marriage is no good. And she won't go to counselling or try. The problem is I still want to be married. I keep hoping things will get better... I don't know whether I should hold on for longer or just give up. I tried to challenge my wife's cultural outlook Because I know they worry about losing face if seen to show weakness or vulnerability. I asked her to tell me if she still wants our marriage. She refused to answer it. She talks objectively about divorce and says her heart carries a lot of hurt. She has been that way for 9 years now. Will it improve? Also I'm wondering if she will change her mind. I explained that I felt so sad for her mother. I was there to hold her mother when she collapsed 2 days after the birth of our son because my wife through a cup at her mother and endangered our son. Social services were involved. I had to make sure her mother was safe. Recently she hit her mother and I called the cops. Her mum was so distressed she didn't eat for 3 days and lied on the bed. Lucky her father was arp and to help. Now I'm really wondering whether or not to believe her about the guy waiting back in China. For 6 years she has refused to travel with me back there. Always used the excuse that she won't pay for my ticket etc. I am considering divorce but won't give up the property in my name. I need some serious guidance. You know what is sad? I may have called the cops, but I have never treated her badly. Never hit her. Never sworn at her. I'm not a martyr I'm just confused. Believe it or not, I don't think she will hurt our son. I am more concerned about him getting the wrong impression of what a healthy relationship because my wife keeps hating me .Also I have the seed of doubt now as to whether or not she was being serious about cheating on me over the years with her so called "backup man in China"... Nowhere did I say I am unemployed. I hold a very responsible job full time with above average wages. I have been employed since coming back to Australia 9 years ago. |
Question: My parents are divorcing. Is it normal I feel it is my fault? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 06:35 AM PDT I am 16 My Mom left my Dad and told us it is to protect us from all their fighting. They separated in January. Ever since I feel guilty cause if I wasn't born they wouldn't have to protect me and I was the one who complained when they had a big fight on Christmas Eve last year. My sisters didn't complain. Also my Mom told us that our Dad's family blames us for his continual lies. My Dad says that is BS and when I got upset my Mom said she meant they blame her. I fear her first statement could be true. |

Question: How to prolong the divorce process? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 03:41 AM PDT Next week im going to court for the first hearing; im set on making the divorce process as vicious and time consuming as possible. She abandoned me since 2 months and left a note saying she is pregnant but no signs of pregnancy, then she said the trauma of deserting me caused a spontanious abortion. I want to ask the court to have her examined in case she had a chemical abortion or similar. Her phone is busy all night and keeps me waiting for hours. I also want to claim that she stole many of my personal times and cash. Will it work ? Or should say that i want her to come back so as to make the process longer and then mention the things above ? |

Question: Am I off for thinking this isn’t right? Posted: 28 Jul 2018 11:32 PM PDT If you are in bed with your fiancé lounging most of the day and we didn't have sex (I'm open to sex anytime, him not always) and I leave for a couple hours to run an errand and then he masterbates while I'm gone, is that weird? Why not have sex together when I was just there? (We were with each other most of the morning until the afternoon) I receive attention from many other men at work, the gym, etc. (but I decline because I'm engaged) shouldn't it be from my fiancé instead? |
