Question: How can I handle verbal abuse from my sisters..? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 01:25 PM PDT Okay so when I was about 14/15 I met a guy and we ended up having sex.. I snuck behind my family's back and kept frequently seeing him. My family found out about us because my sister snooped into my laptop and read all our messages. I know I was wrong and I apologized a million times for it. But then my two sisters came in my room the same day and started calling me slut and a whore and a hoe and how they friends already knew how much of a slut was. That night after they left I tried to commit suicide because of that and clearly it didn't work.. But as i've grown up i'm 18 now every chance that we have argument they always call me a whore and a slut and always call me different names and threaten to beat me up and slap me and different stuff. I just wanna know how can I deal with them especially since we all live in the same house and they even say names about my boyfriend now who hasn't done anything to them.. Idk what to do and i'm just really depressed and ready to end it all.. I can't take it anymore.. Please help. Thank you. |

Question: My aunt is a narcissist. What do I do if she tries to kidnap my mind from my mom and dad? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 01:07 PM PDT She tried to use me many years back to turn me against my parents so it's happened before. |
Question: I feel as if my mother hates me? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 12:50 PM PDT I've always felt that my mom has hated me. My mother puts her boyfriend over me. She has done this Every time she gets a new boyfriend it hurts me. And when something needs to be blamed on its always me who gets blamed .I cook and clean for my mother and she doesn't appreciate it and when she does she gives the credit to my brothers. She seems to always be doing things with her boyfriend and my siblings and I always am left alone. The words she says are so hurtful that I just can't stop myself from crying. I don't think she cares to much about my mental state. And when I go to school all I can think about is her so I can't concentrate. When she isn't home she is normally at a bar. She has thrown me out a number of times because I am "troublesome" I don't know if I should confront her and tell her how im feeling I'm so scared that she will get mad at me. |
Question: Dad keeps yelling at my mom..? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 12:47 PM PDT I'm sorry I'm posting it here but I'm just tired.. My dad has always yelled at my mom for no reason, and he's kind of sexist and acts like my mom is his slave, he also believes that he's better than everyone and is egotistical and narcissistic. Recently my dad had a stroke and she's been nothing but good to him, she's the one that discovered him and without her he would have stayed there in his room passed out. She stayed by his side the entire time and refused to leave FOR TWO WEEKS. When we got him back home from the hospital things got way worse. He would keep asking my mom to give him cigarettes and give him pain medication, and when she'd refuse he'd just yell at her from the top of his lungs, refusing to let her sleep until she gave in. Today, things got heated up when she told him she threw his medication (she didn't, she was hiding it) and he just yelled at her really loudly until she gave it back. Now she's saying she'll get her passport and leave us tomorrow. I'm panicking a lot and I have no idea what to do. please help... |
Question: I feel bad for Bernie Madoff's family? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 12:31 PM PDT I have a friend who was showing me pictures of a beautiful party in Palm Beach, Florida 11 years ago. She was friends with Andrew Madoff's wife, Catherine. What a wonderful life these people had and how quickly it all fell. The father gets arrested The company goes bankrupt The US marshals seize the family's property The investors are angry, some of them kill themselves The son, Mark Madoff, kills himself, leaving two children The mother lives with her relatives The other son, Andrew, gets cancer and dies 3 years later. Thousands of people lose their life's savings, many people lose their loved ones, etc.... And yet I see everybody smiling in those pictures, I see Andrew having fun, I see people dancing, etc... Amazing how fickle Fortune is.. |
Question: How to tell my mom to stay away? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 12:30 PM PDT I am 25 years old and fairly successful I guess. I moved from my mom's house at 18 for college and never went back except for maybe 3 months after college. I decided to move closer(1 hr away) to my family bc I had gone so many years without seeing them. Since moving into in my place they've been there most of the time. Ive had 4 days to myself in the 9 months that I've been there. When they leave its always a hassle, especially with my mom. She looks for any stupid reason to be at my place and she has a huge meltdown when she has to leave. My place was VERY nice and they do nothing but disrespect it. I avoid my home now and I shouldn't have to. I am out of town now and I want to discuss this with my mom. IDK how to bring it up or speak about it without getting angry. On one hand I feel like its my right to be comfortable in my place and on one hand I feel like maybe I'm a bad person for not wanting them there. I really need some reasonable advice as to what to say. I can't go back to having them there 24/7. |

Question: I told my mom I hated her and then she died, how can I shake off the guilt? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 11:56 AM PDT told my mom I hated her because she took away my driving privileges for breaking curfew. That same night my dad gets the call saying my mom was killed in an auto accident. my last words to her were I hate you. This was 7 months ago and I am still consumed by guilt. my family and friends have been very supportive but it is not enough. What can I do, i don't want to spend the rest of my life feeling guilty over it. |

Question: Why do fathers check out their own daughters bodies at the pool? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 11:37 AM PDT I think it's even worse at the beaches. Men, dads, Uncles, you name it always look at their daughters walking away so the girls don't see them perving. |
Question: How do I get my cousin to leave me alone? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 11:26 AM PDT I ve been staying at my grandmother s house for a couple weeks, and one of my cousins staying there is really annoying. He s a year younger than me and he follows me everywhere. When I try to leave the room he s in, he just follows me. Even the guest room I m staying in, he ll come in when I m laying down trying to rest. And then when I ask him to leave he acts all offended, and starts laughing. He also always asks to use my phone or connect to my hotspot, and when I say no he s like, "you mean." He s just so irritating and I can t stand him. He always tries to talk to me, but sometimes I m just too annoyed to want to pay attention. |
Question: How do I talk to my 10 year old about vaping? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 10:36 AM PDT Some incoming 5th graders already have those Juuling devices. My daughter told me that they get them from older relatives. I have personally witnessed these schoolmates vaping. The little "trend" started throughout the summer. As we're heading back to school in August, I'm sure some kids will be vaping on school grounds too (schools don't allow it, but most students manage to get away with it by not getting caught). I have to worry about peer pressure, misinformation, curiosity. The brutal honesty is that vaping does smell good, unlike traditional cigarettes. It's really kind of sudden and I didn't imagine that she'd be exposed to this at such a young age. She was already told that smoking in general has horrible consequences at a younger age (just the basics). I did not plan on discussing the full topics on peer pressure and vape pens until she was at least halfway through middle school at around 12 years old. |

Question: Would it be wrong to do this? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 10:04 AM PDT Yesterday my coworker asked me if I wanted an acoustic guitar that he got from his fathers will (I don't know how recently he died ,he just found out I played guitar and offered it to me then and there) I declined the offer because I didn't know if I would feel right doing that. Would it be wrong to take the offer? |
Question: Guess what.I can feel myself going insane. Pretty cool huh? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 09:44 AM PDT my grandma died yesterday at the age of 96. Ive lost relatives before. My dad was the first when he passed at 46 due to lung cancer. I was 10 when it happened. My grandmother on the other hand was my first big loss as life went on, we got to know each other more than I got to know my dad. Theres very very little of us on this earth left and we are all getting old. I'm 37 and my birthday last week, grandma was very coherent and talkative. Happy. The world is an ugly place and a place I no longer know nor care about as the population is becoming more and more evil. Just look at yahoo news. Theres so much evil roaming the streets whether they be political figures or regular people to sports athletes. Sad sad sad world we live in where a mother can kill her kids due to stress or presidents sending young people to die for oil. I'm losing my grip due to the fact that those who had a hold of me emotionally are now leaving. One day I shall give the human race a gift. A gift of vengeance on those who deserve it most. To make the world a brighter place before I die. |
Question: Why is my brother such an asshole? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 09:36 AM PDT he starts to talk and i am scared to say he is wrong.if i say he is wrong he will talk and talk till he forces on me you have to say what he says is true. there is no way out of this loop.either i have to say he is right or either get beaten or either say he is compllllleeeeetllllyyyyyyyyy right.such an asshole. so whenever he talks i have to just agree and i scared to say opposite.thats why i never talk to him.for example one time he said there is a cellphone that its cpu is better than your laptops cpu (my laptop is corei 3 so he mocks me). i said comparing laptop and cellphone is wrong. like comparing shovel with a car.i have either say yes my laptop is **** that cellphone is gold or otherwise arguing. i have only ONE way .either complletttlllyyy agree with him or either die. i read about someone elses brother.she says my brother and i fight over only ONLY one computer and HE YELLS AT HER because of that only one computer the we have two laptops one pc and two cellphone then he argues over cellphone cpu is better than your laptops cpu. lets be honest . boys , generally males are idiots that only want to show their power to you and that how he will beat you up easily. |
Question: Is my mom being annoying? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 09:27 AM PDT So whenever I go on vacation with my mom she makes me take photos of her, and like a lot of photos. She also makes my brother and dad take photos of her as well. She also changes into lots of different outfits. It's really annoying of her to make me take the photos because I want to do something else. She also got in a fight with my dad because he didn't want to take any more photos too and she said she would never go on vacation with us again. She said that last time when we went to California. I think my mom is kinda narcissistic and doesn't take what I say seriously. |
Question: Is my stepmom emotionally abusive?, why does my dad always take her side? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 08:37 AM PDT Okay so I'm a teenage girl I haven't herd from my real mom in months so I have to live with my stepmom and dad. I really dislike her and here are some of the reasons ... -she constantly talks bad about my real mom - she shames me for eating -she says even though I eat so much I'm flat -she's constantly screaming at me for little dumb things - she says If my dad has another heart attack it'll be all my fault - she wishes I wasn't around - she'll call me names and cuss at me. the list goes on but those are just a few. I've tried to talk to my dad about this but he got mad, hit me, cussed me out and said "don't mess with my wife stupid *****" idk what to do... can someone please give me some advice?? |

He was so mad he punched the door! But what I don't understand is if he hates them so much why does he have picts in the garage of him an his boss at work an there both not wareing no clothes an there privates is sticking straight up an one pict it looks like dad has poop all over his privates. So what can I do? Why is he acting like that an what if Mom finds them picts in the garage? |
Posted: 31 Jul 2018 07:37 AM PDT When you have dated since age 11 and are now 25 would they likely get back together? Her boyfriend is gay and his partner my sister felt was a druggie. I have no opinion as I haven't met his boyfriend. She has supported him, never judged his homosexuality, and gone to the gay clubs with him regularly and even made other gay friends for him. Now they have broken up and she is not allowed at his sister's wedding. Since they have been going out for so long would it be likely that they will end up back together? Would it take he and his boyfriend breaking up? I always assumed they would end up married to each other. |

Posted: 31 Jul 2018 05:02 AM PDT My father even got in trouble with the law for his lies. Yet, he likes to criticize me for caring about people he hates. He uses me and my siblings as well as my mother also does though she is not as bad as she used to be. So how do I get my father back so she sees the pain he causes? |
Posted: 31 Jul 2018 04:59 AM PDT What would life be like without a family? I have little extended family since my Dad's only family, his aunt and parents, have died and on my Mom's side she severed ties with her family when I was a baby and so I've only met them once. So if I sever ties with my parents and sisters what would life be like? One sister is toxic, the other is okay but no one I am close to. Since my Mom disowned her family I figure it is okay to do. |
Posted: 31 Jul 2018 04:32 AM PDT I found this out and grandfather and grandmother have both died. I asked great-aunt and she looked shocked I found it and said only she and my grandfather knew as well as her parents and brother. This was my grandfather's sister. She said not even her parents knew. She said "it was my secret but when I am gone feel free to". This was 4 years ago. Great aunt died in May. Should I share this or just keep it a secret? I don't want to do something that would have hurt my grandmother at the same time society has changed and divorce is not a scandal anymore so maybe she wouldn't have cared in this generation. |

Question: How do I convince my dad to let me quit my job? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 03:50 AM PDT I started working a year ago in company X where he is an area manager. The department that is most relevant to my education in University is small toxic and frankly chaotic. I've talked to him about it and about other offers I got, but he is very stubborn and won't let me resign. To give you a bit of context I'm the work mule of my department and I get no appreciation. The head of department is very out of touch with what's happening and my dad is an area manager in a totally different area from where I work. I understand he doesn't want to lose face that his son is quitting. But I can't handle it anymore. The work I'm doing is not nearly challenging enough. It's a lot of dummy work and no one cares what is happening. |

Posted: 31 Jul 2018 02:52 AM PDT wrongness. Although I'm thirty-one years of age, and I don't need her approval, he has wronged me on numerous occasions without her saying anything. He has hit me several times, has made disparaging comments, and even punched me on my forehead when I was twelve-years-of-age. Although you would think with a ten-year gap, and me being a female, she'd say don't hit your sister, she didn't. In recent years, he tried to punch me again, break my glasses, kick me, etc. during an argument. What's funny is, I was supposed to be so crazy about seeing him, as though nothing happened. She commented on the looks I gave him after three years of him finally deciding to apologize. No, you attacked me. You have to earn my apology, which was years in the making. Since then, we had another argument, and of course, she barely opened her mouth to defend me. Though we're not children, to me, she should confront him when he is wrong. She was basically quiet the whole time. Now, the same issue applies to his daughter. As of recently, during her visit, she has occasionally made rude gestures, and has made some rude comments. Although, she can be a sarcastic anyway, she has not re-enforced that she is being rude. My mother has also made belittling comments in front of her, yet always has a sincere excuse for all her comments/gestures that she has made to to me. When neither one is around, she acts normal. Though I don't live with them, I want to know why she'd change towards me when they're present. |
Question: Why is he doing this? What's going on with him? Posted: 31 Jul 2018 12:03 AM PDT We broke up about a year ago because we were fighting and arguing and his tense family circumstances didn't help as his brother was diagnosed with kidney failure. During the fight he said i didn't know how to treat a man because my parents were divorced and i hadn't seen a loving relationship like his parents. I then went on to say that his mom had no voice in their household. He attacked back saying "at least she didn't come to church dressed in club attire, arms and legs showing" I then responded which I shouldn't have "your mom looked like she came from the stable, you never buy her new clothes." Fast forward two months I saw him staring at me in church so I texted him but he said he would never forgive me and wouldn't allow himself to have feelings for me again because of what i said about his mom. I didn't respond. Every Sunday in church he'd keep staring at me but I gave him cold looks and avoided his looks. He started smiling and talked to me as I went down the stairs saying hi how are you. I saw him peek through a door crack as he walked past to see if i was still looking at him. The other Sunday, he walked past me and smiled and I smiled back and he winked at me. Recently I've been warm to him looking at him and smiling. I texted him the other day and this how the conversation went. I asked about his brother then he asked me about school and when I get acceptance letters. Is he interested? But why isn't he making a move? |
Question: Am I in an abusive household? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 11:05 PM PDT I don't believe I am because no one physically hurts me and they do care, but it feels like it. I'm isolated. I never leave my room and I'm too afraid to go to the kitchen, so I've lost so much weight that I can put both of my hands in between my thighs and they don't touch them. My mum calls me out on everything, gets mad at me when I'm sad, tells me to shut up if I'm crying and threatens to hit me (but she wouldn't, and she also denies saying anything about anything.) She ignored my depression for 2 years until I was suicidal, and then still yells at me to suck it up. My sister pesters me and makes me clean her terrifying mess, she yells at me for every little thing I could possibly do, I'm always prepared to get yelled at. I'm afraid of her boyfriend. He yells at me quite often if I bother him, he's always playing video games, he scares the hell out of me. He's made me chase after his car in the rain for not following instructions about meeting him to pick me up from school and yells at me and calls me a failure. I have to clear out of the room if he is there. Since he's always in the kitchen, I can't eat. But they seem to care and look guilty if I point it out. |

Question: Which is worse: An absent parent or a toxic parent? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 09:53 PM PDT My friend and I are debating on which is worse. I think both are awful, but having both an absent father and a toxic mother growing up has me leaning more towards the toxic parent because they have the ability to inflict lasting damage on the psyche with their emotional and verbal abuse. Thanks for any replies. |

Question: I hate my stepmom but my dad always takes her side! PLEASE HELP ASAP? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 09:16 PM PDT Okay so I'm not allowed to see my real mom and I'm forced to live with my dad and stepmom (I'm a teenage girl) I absolutely hate my stepmom, here are some of the reasons -She's always asking my dad to take money out of my college fund for her grown kids - she hates when I spend time with my dad - she competes for my dads attention with me - she says nasty things about my mom - her grown kids are ******* rude and they always talk bad about me (sometimes right in front of me) - she shames me for eating and says I'm fat - she says I don't have a good body -shell do anything possible to make my dad get mad at me -she blames me for her problems in her marriage. The list goes on and gets worse but I'm sure you get the point. Ive tried to talk to my dad about this but he cussed me out, hit me and said how she's done so much for me (he thinks "doing so much" is dropping me off at the mall or taking me to the doctor). It hurts when my stepmom is yelling and cursing at me and my dad always takes her side when he used to promise this would never happen :(( someone PLEASE HELP ASAP I cant cry myself to sleep another night... |
Question: I Want my Husband to Get a Better Job for More Income? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 08:22 PM PDT My husband is self employed film maker, although his films don't make a lot of money. I want to be able to afford to send our son to college, and buy a nicer home for our retirement. His films are about "Cool Cat", a cat who stops bullying. But its just not profitable. He is very passionate about Cool Cat but I think he would be better off with something else. What do you guys think? I will post a video below. Should I try to explain to him this "Cool Cat" wont earn us enough money? I don't want to upset him. |
Question: I think I’m going to kill my brother? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 07:50 PM PDT So basically, my dad died when I was around 5 years old. He had schizophrenia, and other problems. My brother is 15 and he drinks, smokes weed and cigarettes, does shrooms, and once he mentioned cocaine. He always tries to justify what he does, but he never makes any sense. He's been taking boxing for a very long time now, and he usually either starts punching the couch, the wall, or my old mattress near his room. I want to start a go fund me for a military academy or even rehab for him, because my mom can't afford it. I don't know what to do, or if I should kill him. Honestly. I'm 13, and always afraid he might hurt me or my mom, but I don't know how to tell her that. This all started about 2 years ago. Today he asked if he could play my Xbox because the WiFi has been out for the past 2 days. (Btw he sold his xbox like 5 months ago) I said no, because I didn't want him to touch my stuff, (He never washes his hands) and he started getting all defensive about it, saying I'm just saying no because I want to be a *****, and that "there's nothing else to do in the house." He got really pissed because I said "I said no. That's my answer." And he started punching **** again. I don't know what to do with him, and neither does my mom. We've tried therapy. The therapist just said "oh, he seems like a normal kid to me!" Even though they just ******* asked how school was. Like seriously? Anyways, please help. |

Posted: 30 Jul 2018 06:06 PM PDT I'm 20 years old, living with my grandmother and little brother. The relationship between us 3 is terrible. My brother hates me and is trying to get me thrown out of the house and won't even speak to me and my grandmother doesn't care. I'm bombarded by bills and have to work 40 hours a week at a minimum wage job and can't even cover expenses and have looming hospital bills of over 23,000. My grandfather who is well off has nothing to do with me. I also got my girlfriend pregnant and have not told anyone. What should I do. I have no support and am over stressed. What can I or should I do |
Posted: 30 Jul 2018 06:00 PM PDT My children are 8, 10 and 16. My oldest daughter ignores him most of the time although he can really push someone's patience. Meanwhile, my 10 year old son gets angry when he jumps from sofa to sofa. Sometimes he spills food or changes the TV channel. He often interrupts and automatically assumed something is true when it wasn't proven so. We're working with our youngest son right now. The other problem is that he disturbs others while doing homework or watching a movie. My youngest is just all over the place, which can really tick his siblings off. |
Question: Why do people kill their loved ones for insurance money? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 05:52 PM PDT Last night I was watching a TV show called Somethings Killing Me. The name of the episode was My Wife Can't Breathe. It was about a man who poisoned his wife for insurance money. Now why would someone do that to their beautiful wife? Why couldn't he if he wanted money so badly to sell her to a sex trafficker? I know that is still a bad thing to do but at least there is a chance that she could be rescued. |
Posted: 30 Jul 2018 05:50 PM PDT I constantly sit & think about everything mean I've ever said or did to them & it eats me up inside. I know they love me & I tell them how much I love them but is that enough? I feel so cheated that there so much older than me & I won't get much more time with them. I feel like I should of become famous or rich or something to make them exceptionally proud of me. I'm not doing bad in life but could be doing better. Why do I have such enormous guilt? |

Question: What to do when your own parents deliberately demean a physical flaw you have? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 05:22 PM PDT You could expect this from toxic so called friends, competitive coworkers, but your parents? I don't have anyone who is there for me, who has my back to encourage me. I feel alone in the world. I can't even have the respect and trust of my own parents. No real family, just people I'm related to. What to do? |
Question: I really need some help taking care of my extremely frustrating 2 year old sister? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 05:02 PM PDT I'm 15 and it's summertime. About 5-6 days a week I have to take care of my 2 year old sister for about 3-4 hours a day. My parents say I can't spank her, all I can do is tell her no, but that literally never works. I wouldn't be asking this if she wasn't incredibly frustrating to take care of. She constantly throws stuff at me, and not stuff like stuffed animals I'm talking about phones, remotes, even her toy computer. She also hits our big flat screen TV and tries to knock it off the stand, she keeps unplugging cords nonstop and she keeps spitting her milk all over the floor and coach. And guess what, that all stops when my mom or dad enters the room with us. Then she starts acting like an angel. She knows that I can't do anything to punish her or anything so she just tries to annoy me. I need some way to get her to stop doing all this stuff with me or I'm going to rip my hair out in frustration. |
Posted: 30 Jul 2018 04:14 PM PDT And my mother was there too, and she nodded... why did they wait 25 years to tell me that??????? |
