Question: Is it normal to feel this way? Or is it me the problem? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 08:59 PM PDT Me and my husband first met in college,I was an exchange student and we started dating.I ended up getting pregnant and we got married, but I had a lot of pregnancy complications and I had a miscarriage months later. We stayed married anyway, because we love each other, and this was our motivation to get married besides the pregnancy. All of this happened 6 years ago,and since then I didn't even think of having kids, but my husband really wants it,so I ended up agreeing. Now I found out that I'm pregnant again, and I'm freaking out,I didn't realize that I was going to be that anxious and scared. My husband and his family have been very supportive,I know that he's going to be an amazing father, but I'm not emotionally okay.I worry about my health and the baby's health too much,I cry all the time, I've thought about having an abortion and thought that maybe this is not the right time for me to have a baby, but my husband convinced me that there's no reason for that, and also I'm a foreigner,so I don't even have my family close to me to give me emotional support.I don't know what to do, but I can't be like this for the next months or I'm going to end up depressed. Is it normal to be this nervous, anxious and scared during the pregnancy? Is it the hormones or something?Because 6 ago when I was too young had an unplanned pregnancy I wasn't like this,we lost our baby and it was very tough. But now it was planned,I'm 26 and married,I should be happy, but I don't feel that way.Is it me the problem? |
Question: Why are people so careless in selecting who to date? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 07:44 PM PDT Im currently staying by Naples, Italy and people here are much more considerate with who they date. A relationship is to be treated as something of great importance. Its seen not only as a union between two individuals, but between two families. The most interesting thing is that class and rank here are very vivid. The families here really want to make sure that the young stay in a 'limited environment' And the thing is that people here meet their future spouse more through family and community events than anything else I observe all of this and see how much more smooth it runs than the dating scene back home. Over here in Italy, they feel an immense loyalty to the family and straying away from that will create beef. The dating scene in NY, Boston, LA, Miami, etc... its so pathetic...like it really is. Everybody is so individualistic and way too out of control. Why cant we be more like the Italians? |
Question: Wife’s Emotional Insecurity? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 07:44 PM PDT So, my wife and I just bought new living room furniture, which included a recliner. The day the furniture was delivered my wife text me at work and was adamant hat I order another recliner, which we really don't have room for. She wanted me to order it right then. I asked her why she wanted another recliner and she said, " because I was imaging you sitting in the recliner without me and it made me feel lonely." I do not feel like this is normal, is it? |
Question: Should I get a divorce? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 05:35 PM PDT We were together for almost 3 years and we got married in January. She has a better job and a daughter so insisted I live in her country. So I gave up everything to be with her in a country where I don't know the language. The plan was I'd study the language, help with house chores and get a job when I can communicate. I accepted her daughter, my parents sent her birthday gifts and other things. I have been here over 2 months and all she does is argue with me about really stupid things. She insisted on separate bank accounts because she worries I'll spend all her money but insist it is "our money" She bought a house and says its our but when angry says it is her house. She accuses me of basically being a parasite. When she forgot to bring money to the supermarket I gave her money and she said "it doesn't matter since I spend more money on you anyways) Our daughter or her daughter(depending on my wife's mood I am a stepfather or I am not) is spoiled and has no manners, leaves trash everywhere and takes things without asking. My wife when angry tells me to go back to America, that she will give me money to go back. I keep fixing things but she doesn't even try. She cant go 3 days without starting a big fight. She was walking out to go to work, I went to say goodbye and she ignored me and slammed the door. What did I do this time??? |
Posted: 17 Jul 2018 05:24 PM PDT So this guy that I know named Jim who is chinese and he has a bunch of asian girls giving him their numbers. I am autistic myself too and I am vietnamese and no girl likes me. I tried talking to asian girls and none of them are interested in me. I am 27 and I haven't even dated a girl because everyone rejected me while jim is only 20 and he has girls running to him. I think he dated a few of them. I'm just shocked as I'm better looking and can actually function normally and no one likes me. He on the other hand talks like a 5 year old. I heard someone telling me that when he was once with these girls he asked them if he could go potty. That is a very childish thing to say. I would have just said I'll be right back gonna use restroom like a normal person would say. I don't get why girls like him more. Why do they like him more than me ?? How come girls don't like me at all ? |

Question: Am I a bad parent or am I doing the right thing? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 04:36 PM PDT I am a divorced parent with a 15 year old daughter. I am remarried to a wonderful wife with 3 stepchildren. My biological daughter wants to run with the "elite" and wants the most expensive phones, clothes, car, ect She gets 620 a month from my social security. I am a disabled veteran that is homebound. She and I seldom talk and I see her once or twice a year. My exwife is separated and trying to make it beyond her means on one salary. A couple months ago her check was cut off as well as mine but is being reinstated so no big deal right? I can easily live off what I have saved and my VA check. I am being bombarded about her school activities and the braces she absolutely did not need but other kids were wearing them. I have said NO! take care of your money. Giving a loan is out of the question because I know it will never be repaid. Am I out of line for not giving in to a child and exwife I seldom talk to and see? Absolutely everything about my daughters life is none of my business I am told. |

Posted: 17 Jul 2018 02:23 PM PDT I have a newborn . But my older kids hate him . Honestly I feel like he's trying to cause drama with me and my kids . Blaming them for everything . He states my kids are bad . My kids are teens but I just feel like he's crazy . The other day he broke my sons Xbox . We thought it was just broke he told me months later it was him . He said because my son disrespected him . No matter how I approach him about something it turns into he's a victim and he is just a good guy who loves me . I'm getting more confused |

Question: Why don't most people marry and have kids young anymore? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 11:11 AM PDT My grandparents told me in the olden days, almost everyone used to marry and have kids young. My grandma said her friends married as young as 15 and 16. The vast majority of people then married right out of school or shortly after and had several children by their late 20s. Nowadays many people are still single at 30 and don't even have kids. |
Posted: 17 Jul 2018 10:34 AM PDT Since the marriage ended it was obviously a mistake. The wife liked to play the "I am not talking to you anymore" game and the husband was very impatient and not the nicest person. Both are alcoholics but working on that part. So 32 years of their life ending in divorce, does this mean they completely wasted 32 years of their life? They do have 3 kids but are selfishly wrecking their family life by divorcing however the kids are in their 20's now. |

Question: Who would you believe husband or kids ? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 09:12 AM PDT Missing things around the house . Husband believes first it was my son . He moved out and now he blames it on my daughter. My daughter is a teen and not perfect but I think he's lying. She makes valid points and the information he gives seems to make no sense . He is Totally obsessed with me and loves me . My daughter wants to move away even if It means loosing all her friends because she is tired of the lies . He blames her . I just don't know why a grown man would lie about my kids . We have a kid together and it makes this harder . |

Question: Will my ex husband do me this favor? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 08:07 AM PDT I have been divorced for over a year now. During that year I came to realize that none of my boyfriends were as good in bed as my ex husband Jim was. When it came to sex Jim was a world champ. We had a friendly divorce. Do you think he would do me a favor if I ask him for sex sometimes when I get horny? I would be happy to return the favor for him by doing anything he wanted to do? |
Question: What is the protocol when someone is underpaying their child support? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 07:52 AM PDT My husband's exwife is supposed to pay us (based on her income) about $200 a month in child support. It's all automatically coming out of her checks. However she has been switching jobs lately and is pregnant with her 5th child and we suspect is not working. the past couple months the payments have only been about $20 a time. how is this possible if they take it directly from her check? also.. does the county watch this and what do they do about it? |

Question: I feel like the woman I nanny for is insecure about me and thinks I want her husband? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 05:52 AM PDT So I've been a nanny for a family of four kids for almost a year now. They're very nice people and I always felt comfortable being in their home. They both work full time, so I hardly see either one of them. Lately, if I even say one word to the husband when he gets off work, because I'm trying to avoid seeming rude the wife immediately jumps in and ends the conversation. For example, he told me congratulations for getting into nursing school right in front of her and she interrupted and told him to go outside with the kids. I've never even been slightly flirty with him or inappropriate at all and I'm also in a happy relationship, so I'm confused why she's acting like this all of a sudden. I've always been really respectful and careful not to open any doors and I even have his phone number and have never once text or called him even about the kids. I also talk to his wife and would only contact him if there was an emergency. I am 22 and attractive, but I don't get why she would've hired me in the first place if she's insecure about me. I feel weird completely ignoring him altogether, but I almost feel like I need to. Any suggestions? |
Question: The best way to respond to an insulting wife? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 05:38 AM PDT A lot of people know about my struggles with my wife. Perhaps the worst of it are the insults that affect my self esteem. Comments such as stupid, idiot and useless. I have to do my best to try and be happy with life but it is very hard sometimes. I read a website that said the best way to deal with an insulting wife is to ignore the comments and carry on as normal. Because apparently a wife is so upset subconsciously that they need to lash out and drag the husband down until he is so unhappy that he gives her an easy reason to leave. Now that might be well and good, but I really don't think it will assist in behaviour changes. Yes behaviour change can only come about from the person doing the wrong thing. Also, I feel like it's a bad example for my son. He is too young to understand but what happens when he is older and he sees his mother calling his father stupid and dumb? I might end up with a son that doesn't respect me and joins in calling me stupid. I don't expect my wife to change any time soon. I can try to ignore the nasty comments. But I need something to change :( |
Question: Financial imbalance in marriage, what do do? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 05:17 AM PDT My husband and I have been together for 6 years, we don't have a kid yet but planning to have one very soon. Our relationship has up and downs just like others, we love each other but lately I've been feeling a lot stress from work and life in general. My husband lost his job 2 years ago, ever since I've been supporting us financially, lucky enough I got a well paid job. I'm nearly 10 years younger than him, it's a bit tough that I have to be the one supporting everything financially for two. I feel I'm losing my freedom because I'm working too hard, no weekend or holiday is normal for me, I'm doing two jobs to keep us going. He's trying his best I know, but definitely not in the right position to earn enough money to support the family. I understand once you're married, everything should be shared equally. Sadly my family and I have always been the weather part, now I'm reaching to a point that I'm tired of paying for two, I know this can be very selfish thinking. That if I was single, or with someone else who is in better financial situation, I could live with a lot more freedom in life. Now I'm looking after two. once we have a baby, I have to look after 3. I'm only 30, I don't want my life get stuck like this, am I being too selfish feeling that I shouldn't pay for two in a relationship? |
Posted: 17 Jul 2018 05:17 AM PDT This is a a great-grandparent. I am scared to ask but of course now a days it is now big deal. I found record of a 3 year marriage to some other guy and a miscarriage. Her marriage certificate says "previous marriages-1" and next to widowed or divorced is checked divorced. |
Question: Why doesn't my husband understand that he hurt my feeling over his comment? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 03:44 AM PDT My husband recently found out that his daughter's mom is on crack and cocaine. She's lost everything and is sleeping in her car. My husband has had full custody of his, now 21 year old, daughter since she was about 2 years old. Her mom has several younger children and they are now with the older sister. Well, he called me upset because they have always had a good relationship through the years and knowing that my ex-husband was on drugs he just needed to talk and get some advice. During our conversation he made the comment that he's going to do what he can to help her and right now "nothing trumps her and her situation." I took that to mean that he was placing his daughter's mom over me. I became highly angry and hung up the phone on him. They haven't been a couple in some 20 years so why is he so dead set on helping her out? No, I don't like her due to some drama she and I went through about 10 or 12 years ago. He met up with her after he got off work last night and when he finally came home around 9 PM you could tell he had been crying and of course, we got into it again. Now he's not speaking to me. I just wanted to know what happened but he felt that with the way I acted on the phone earlier in the day I didn't have a right to know anything. Is he right? Why can't he understand that he hurt my feelings with his comment? |
Question: Divorcing Parent, Relationship Questions? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 03:26 AM PDT My Girlfriends Mom is unfit to be a mother and so she wants to divorce her as a parent, but so is her father, and he grandma is out of state, basically sje has nowhere to go, my mother has offered to take her in, can that be done? Question: Can my trust/relationship be rebuild? Posted: 17 Jul 2018 12:23 AM PDT I have been married for 3 years. Within the first months there was infertilities that came to light but with trouble we managed to get through them. Husband goes to jail for the last 7 months I was pregnant. While in jail I find out of another affair he had and she had been in contact with him while incarcerated(mind I'm pregnant and working to support him). I decided to work for out marriage. In jail he was determined to come out and change his life arounf but now it seems like I trust him less then before. I feel unloved at times and constantly feeling like he hides things and when I follow my gut I discover my gut instinct was right. At this point I'm scared to follow my gut. When he gets busted he apologizes for his mistakes and says he won't do it again. I've told him if he has to hide things then it's for the reason that he shouldn't be doing it. But I feel like he puts no effort in listening to me on how this makes me feel. Tip???? |
Question: Wife moved out, never talks to me But ...? Posted: 16 Jul 2018 11:46 PM PDT She wants me to keep her on my insurance because it's a lot cheaper. I have Military Insurance and it's definitely a lot cheaper. But after tonight I figured she's not talking to me, never contacts me but wants me to help her out financially? So I cancelled her insurance. She wants to leave then she can do things on her own. Not gonna help her financially if she doesn't even want to see how i'm doing. Out of spite? Probably but it's not my responsibility anymore. |
Question: I feel like my husband always picks his family over me !? Posted: 16 Jul 2018 11:22 PM PDT Lately my husband and I have been arguing a lot and when it comes to his family he always take there side even when they're wrong and he never defends me. Like I get it , it's his family but I'm his wife who has 2 kids with him. I feel like he should take my side and defend me and not get mad over it. What do you guys think? |
