Posted: 30 Jul 2018 05:38 PM PDT I texted my friend how has she been because I've not seen her for months, and she replied great, thanks. I hope you are doing well. So, I followed up by asking her how is her school, she texted back few days later saying it's okay, and that she wishes me best of luck in my school work. Is she not interested? |
Question: Why is everyone so horrible? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 05:16 PM PDT I can't leave my house without everyone giving me terrible looks why? |

Question: How do you tell people how you really feel without pushing them away? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 03:49 PM PDT My wife and I are lonely. Nobody calls or texts, nobody comes over. If we want to see people or talk to people, we have to reach out and literally chase them. All visits are on our time and our dime. I have a long list of people that I'd like to tell that I want them to show interest in me and our life. Call, drive to visit, ask me how we are doing. I've noticed I spend a lot of time interviewing people about their lives, and they don't ask me about me or mine. I tried to cool "chasing" and reaching out, and interviewing people, to let a more organic interaction take place...but for weeks, the phone hasn't rang. I haven't received a text or instant message? Basically nobody gives a crap about me. Any ideas? |
Question: Why does this guy keep copying me? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 03:34 PM PDT There's this guy in my class who sometimes copies my movements, facial expressions, and words. If I cross my legs, he crosses his legs soon after. If I scratch my arm, he scratches his arm. If I make a sad face, I catch him making a sad face a second later. If I say "sweet", he starts saying "sweet" more often when he talks to me. Why does he do this? |
Question: Should I let my brother go to his best friend party? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 03:22 PM PDT My brother is grounded for the rest of the month so he is not allowed go anywhere. However his best friend has a birthday party tonight and he will get extremly sad if he is not able to go. Should I help him sneak out or not? I am afraid of getting in trouble too. My gf is turning 17 next week and I dont want to be grounded or something. What would you do? |
Question: Why is everyone against me for no reason at all? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 03:20 PM PDT I don't do anything to anyone. I haven't unless they do something to me first which is normal (defense). But now people wonder why I don't want to talk or why I don't care to talk. Everyone is against me and they will always be. What do I do? I can figure out how to help myself maybe? |
Question: Question about dating ? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 02:24 PM PDT First off, he SAYS we are DATING currently. based on taking what he said at face value of we really are dating, DOES THAT MEAN HE'S MY BOYFRIEND IN RELATIONSHIP LINGO? I'm clueless. ALSO: We've done everything you can imagine. sex and all types of oral and other things but the dude i'm dating.. he says he likes it the MOST when i'm sitting on his lap? Why would that be? Also is it a good thing? He treats me like his baby and calls me baby! |
Question: Why is my friend acting different? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 02:20 PM PDT My friend recently changed, COMPLETLY. I mean 360 change. She used to stay to herself, didnt want to have sex before marriage, never drank, smoke, went to church every Sunday, REALLY cool girl! Recently she changed, shes having sex with guys 4 years younger(17) drinking, smoking, having sex with married people(men/women) I feel like I'm friends with a whole different person. |
Posted: 30 Jul 2018 01:22 PM PDT My bestfriend Luke and I have been best friends since we were 9. He has a girlfriend now of 6 months, and she has a strong dislike for me. She told Luke the other day that he has to pick between herself or me, and he has 48 hours. When he told me, I was obviously upset but I told him it's his free will and if he wants to pick her, he has the right to, and I'd always be here for him if he chooses her regardless of the situation. He hasn't gotten back to me and I don't want to lose him but I don't want him to lose his girlfriend because of me. Did I do the right thing by telling him he can choose her if he wants? |

Question: My “rich” friend is starting to annoy me.? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 12:27 PM PDT I'm 19 and live with my parents in a middle class neighborhood. I, by no means have it hard, but also don't have it extremely well. Me and my bestie have had a rocky relationship. I consider myself to be a very hardworking person (immediately got a job at 16, saver not a spender, attend college, do things around the house without parents asking me to, etc). I'm a full time college student and also work 35 hrs a week. My friend just has it so easy. Her dad bought her a brand new Ford F-150 (doesn't pay car note or insurance), gets $300 and $600 prom dresses (junior and senior year), brand new MacBook, Everything she wants she gets. They live in the same general area as me but idk where her dad gets all this money to buy everything they want. She got a job and complains when she only works 15 hrs a week. Her mom lives in Germany and so does her little sister(12). Now that her sister is in the US visiting, their dad bought her a new iPhone 8+. My best friend Facetime's me upset that her dad did this for her little sister. She claims she's mad because her sister hasn't done anything to deserve the new phone. I tell my bestfriend "well what have you done to deserve everything you get from your dad" and she responds "I get good grades and do things around the house". I laughed in her face and now she's mad at me but I don't even care because I'm just irritated with her flaunting everything she gets in my face and her thinking shes better than me. What would I do? |

Question: What should I give my 14-year old friend for his birthday? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 11:31 AM PDT My friend s birthday is coming up. I m really nervous about getting him something special. I don t have a lot of money; my limit is about $20. He likes video games (but those are super expensive), the colours pink and red, debating, Marvel movies, My Hero Academia... He said that he would like a Deku pop vinyl (a character action figure from the anime My Hero Academia), but I think someone else is getting that for him, and I would also like to surprise him if I could. So maybe I could get something more different? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. |

Posted: 30 Jul 2018 10:55 AM PDT I moved in with my childhood best friend. We have been best friends since we were in 6th grade & now we are both 23 I went away to college & experienced the whole living in a room with strangers & learning to live with someone. My friend stayed & went to a community college and lived with her dad. Living with me is her first time living on her own. I am engaged and moving to another state when I get married. For job reasons my fiance & I are currently long distance. My friend lives a different life style than I do & that is totally fine! I respect & support her but basically I am much more introverted & she is a huge extrovert. My friend likes dating websites & meets guys on there & then invites them to stay at our apartment. LOTS of one night stands. I personally do not care about her choices except that she is safe. She usually invites them over on weekends when I am traveling or visiting my fiance but lately has had them over on work nights & ALL WEEKEND. I mean they are there from when I get home on Friday from work & do not leave. I do not want to change my friend. I want to know how to I respect her & her space (she pays rent just like I do) but let her know that I am uncomfortable with the flow of guys that come in and out of the apartment. It makes me feel unsafe. I even put a key lock on my door for times I am away/go to sleep. Side note my fiance does not sleep at our apartment when he comes to town we stay at his parents and I usually go to him due to his schedule. |
Question: He’s not nervous around me anymore? Does it mean anything? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 10:44 AM PDT Say you think a guy starts out being nervous and shy around you, thinking that he likes you but he starts getting confident with hugging, smiles and gets excited whenever he sees you, respects you as a lady, supports/encourages, gives you a nickname, and compliments you. |
Question: How to not be annoyed when someone talks to me? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 10:33 AM PDT Ok I can do small talk but when somebody goes on and on about some joke they heard they thought was so funny and I'm not laughing, clearly its not funny but they try to get me to see their point of view. I politely shrug it off but they keep grinding my gears until I chuckle which is very annoying, or when somebody doesn't shut up about their day or what they read online, etc. Its like they try to jab a response out of me even though they clearly know they're being very annoying. I've tried to be patient but its mentally exhausting to sit and listen too when they won't even let you respond without cutting you off. |
Question: My roommate doesn t seem to like me anymore? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 10:01 AM PDT I ve been living with my roommate for a little over a year in a house she bought shortly before I moved in. Things seemed fine until about 6 months after I moved in and she started leaving me passive aggressive notes. Something seemed weird before the first note she left, she started doing petty things like only shoveling her half of the driveway and not really talking to me as much. I asked her a few times if she was okay or something was wrong and she kept telling me no. Then one day I come home to this long note about everything I do wrong. I tried to work on things and then a couple months later listing more things I do that bother her, but she won t talk to me about it. Some days I come home and she wont even respond to my hellos. Then I went on vacation and when I got home almost every trace of me had been removed from the main part of the house aside from a few pictures. All my work stuff was thrown into a corner a mess. She had some strange excuse about how she moved things around and moved all my things because she was trying to put a new piece of furniture in the dining area. But it never arrived. I dont know what to do |
Question: Is friendship between two girls possible ? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 08:54 AM PDT I'm asking about REAL friendships between two girls, not the fake/pretending ones.. are they possible or just a myth ? I'm a 22 years old female who never had a close female friend ever, I don't know the reason for that, I try so hard but it seems like the other girls are just not interested in getting to know me or anything at all, they'd just look at me or stare with that "bitchyy disgusting look" and go away, or they'd just say "I'm your friend" and hate me and wish nothing but the worst for me, I don't know why though, I'd literally treat them like a sister and put their interest before me if they ever give me the chance to even hang out with them etc.. I always start the conversation and they don't care, while with boys it's easy to make this kind of things work, for me at least.. they're just easy to talk to, never give me that jerk look etc.. but with girls I always have a hard time even talking to them about anything :( I really want a close female friend cause we would understand each other etc.. there are things I can't tell boys of course.. so that's why, but no one seems to like me regardless, they all hate me before I even open my mouth, I feel like there's something wrong with me, and I'll never make friends, so I probably should just stay alone forever and die alone too :( |
Question: Trying to be friends with an ex? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 05:56 AM PDT My and I have several mutual friends. We all hung out last week and of course my ex and I got into a petty disagreement. He even text me after the party to tell me how wrong I was. I called him and left him a voicemail told him that I haven't hung out with that group of friends because I'm uncomfortable around him but wanted to have a conversation to see if we could smooth out the tension between us so that we don't butt heads every time we see each other. Of course he responded through a very vague text. I text him back that I called to have a conversation because text get easily misinterpreted. I woke up this morning to see that I had a missed call from him at 2:45 a.m. and I a text at 2:50 a.m. that said, "I tried to call". Why would he call me at such a ridiculous time thinking that I would actually be open to talking him at that hour? |
Question: Is this girl just trying to tell me she sees me as a friend? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 05:09 AM PDT So I knew this girl for 7 months now. We hooked up and messed around a lot. We also went out and did a bunch of things together. We would go food shopping every week, go out for lunches, dinners, and bars. We would just really enjoy each others company. She told me she liked me to my face various times and I told her the same and asked her "as a friend?" And shell just chuckle and say well i dont kiss my friends. I think she gave me hints for me to ask her out but Im not sure. She randomly one time announced to me that she was single, then started hugging me and asking me If I liked her. She also would always show affection towards me like playing with me hair, holding me hands, (even when we went out to dinner shell reach across the table and reach for my hand) and wed always greet/say goodbye to each other with a kiss on the lips.. Well now was studying abroad for 2 months. When she came back she asked me go out to lunch. We did and she gave me 2 gifts from Europe. We just kissed each other on the cheeks and thats it. The second time we got together for dinner and again we departed with just a hug, nothing else happened. she's still laughing at everything I say and stuff but like I said no making out/hooking up the past 2 times. So Im not sure if she's trying to give me a sign that were just friends now or if she wants me to ask her out? Oh and by the way when we went out to dinner she said some customer at her job asked her if she was single and said she told him yes |
Posted: 30 Jul 2018 04:25 AM PDT So I'm a guy and have a twin sister and we usually hang out with each others friends. For example when my friends come over she'll hang out with us and when her friends come over I hang out with them. My sisters hangs out with this chick I've known since pre-kindy and we both like each other... and it'd be kinda wierd asking her to come over when she's my sisters best friend and having her stay over for the night TOGETHER. See what I mean? ANYODY GOT ADVICE/TIPS |
Question: I find it hard to make friends. Is there something wrong with me? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 03:20 AM PDT I was very sheltered growing up. I struggled tremendously trying to socialize and make friends, so i never really had a solid friend. I'm a junior in college now, and I still am facing the same issue. I have gotten slightly better, I do talk to some people. However, I notice that the people I interact with already have their friend group, so we just remain at acquaintances. I expected my college experience to be better. Everyone told me I'd meet my lifelong friends at school. It's hard for me as a female to make other female friends, because A lot of the females I encountered weren't that nice and often treated me poorly. I believe that I'm a good person. I know I'm not perfect, but I try to do right by the ones I consider my friends/partners. Is there something wrong with me or something I'm doing wrong? |
Question: Taking attempts at insulting me as a complement and a source of pride? Posted: 30 Jul 2018 01:01 AM PDT I was asked what its like to know this... *The Apple Originated in Mongolia. *The Pie originated in Ancient Egypt. *The Modern Horse is Native to the Americas, but went extinct, and was lucky enough to escape the Americas, back across the Bering land bridge in its wild form.. To be domesticated by the Ancient Russians. *Beef is a European dish, and the cattle was domesticated in the Fertile Crescent in the later stages of the Neolithic. Your diet of beef is from Europe. *The signature act of Baseball, has its roots all across Europe, North Africa and the middle east. The codified game that you play, that you call baseball, has its roots in a British codified game called "Rounders". *The Gun powder is a chance discovery by an ancient Chinese Alchemist. This is what I said... I said that I take that as a complement... I'm proud to know that my culture is so highly developed throughout human history... It sure pays well to come from a place where mankind built himself... where the western world built itself. lol Of course you fail to mention that the oldest known archaeological evidence of a wheel, was found around the Ardennes. The first huts that look like modern houses, were found in Southern Europe, in Western Europe. The chinese alchemist who accidentally killed himself with Gunpowder, was in fact trying to make an Elixir. The first metal ball to be fired from a cannon was made in Europe, as was the first pointed, cylinder shaped shell, as was the first gun. |

Question: Does My Friend Have An Attitude Problem? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 10:19 PM PDT My friend of two and a half years just got a new job at a bank. She's about to be promoted soon to the assistant head teller. Me and her met at our old job and that's how we became friends. But also because she's super fun to be around. Last summer we spent the whole summer together and now we barely see one another, and it's nit just because of the job. One of her 'friends' from high school is the exact opposite. She's not the nicest person and has a very judgemental personality. My friend and her have been hanging out a lot more often which not only causes them to argue but she's beginning to behave just like her. I've never seen her more disrespectful and rude, but that only happens when she's around her friend. She has the most sweetest personality. She keeps complaining that she's gonna be single forever yet shuts out all the guys that go above and beyond for her. I told her to give my two guy friends a chance but one of them now has a girlfriend after they got into an argument and he called her a c u next Tuesday because she was being rude. The same happened with my other guy friend. For the record they told me their sides of the story and then asked me 'How on earth are you two still friends?' I recently told her off for having an attitude and it's especially when she's drinking. Does she need a reality check or the guys? |

Posted: 29 Jul 2018 09:45 PM PDT I lent my car to a good friend (who I have known almost my whole life). He said a girl he thought he was friends with took the key AND the car without his knowledge. I want the police to find this woman but somehow when I made the "report" he is now the primary suspect! Wth do I do if no one will listen to me? I have had the police even come up to my work as well as my house and they keep telling me, oh he must still have your car. How do I make these people listen to me??? I willingly lent him the car to get to and from work. Why would he lie and say he doesn't have it?! I just need someone to listen. Wth do I do?!? |

Question: Why are "popular" people so two-faced? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 09:17 PM PDT I'm in high school. I'm a super genuine and an honest person. I don't give a **** about anybody's approval. I don't pretend to be someone's friend or pretend to like someone. I feel it's hard to fit in because everyone talks behind their friends' backs, meanwhile I'm not like that at all. It's so hard to trust people, if a person compliments me, I automatically think they will say the opposite behind my back and sometimes it's true. For example, there's this girl that puts on a fake smile and acts like she likes me and has my back just because we grew up together. I was always able to see right through her which is why I always kept my distance. And I was right, people told me she was saying I dressed like a "hoe". After that, I started giving her mean looks whenever she gave me her "nice face", and then she kind of backed off. Then, when I had beef with her friend, I know for a fact she entertained it but to my face she said **** about her friend and acted like she was on my side. I don't care, because I knew from the beginning she was fake, but I'm just having a hard time understanding why the popular people in school are always the most two-faced. Like wouldn't it be way more reasonable if people liked genuine and honest people? |
Posted: 29 Jul 2018 09:12 PM PDT So my best friend has been friends with this guy for about a month. They explicitly decided to be friends and nothing else for the time being. One day they had become intamite, and not too long after they had gone all the way; which happened about a week ago. Now he proposed and she said yes! They re planning on getting married after she turns 18, (He s a few years older than her). I m really worried that she s making an awful decision but there s nothing I can do other than support her. |

Question: Drifting Apart From College Friends Over the Summer? Posted: 29 Jul 2018 06:20 PM PDT I'll start by saying that I'm shy, and social anxiety is something that I've been battling for years. This last year was my first year at a big university. Although it took me a while, I found a group of friends who I ate with most nights and went out with on weekends. No, I wasn't super close to all of them, but there were one or two people I felt really connected to in the group, and I enjoyed hanging out with everyone and feeling like I had a steady group of friends. However, over the summer, I feel like I've grown apart from a lot of them. I've kept in touch with my three closest friends and my boyfriend (who goes to my school too), but I haven't really talked to anyone else. I also found out today that some of the people in my group have another group chat that I'm not in (I suspect this isn't supposed to be exclusive and that it just formed some time when I wasn't there--I do spend a lot of time with my boyfriend). I fear that I'll get back to school and not have a group of friends anymore. I'm rooming with my best friend, but she has her own, separate group who she hangs out with. I fear that aside from my roommate and boyfriend, I won't have anyone to eat with/go out with, and that I'll end up lonely, friendless, and depressed as a sophomore. Any advice? |
