Posted: 10 Jul 2018 05:42 PM PDT I am so disappointed I can't even think of the good parts. I want to think of the good parts though. I should say can I have had a good time still even though it was 50-50. I know the party was great for others but I mean my experience. I am torn whether it was good or bad. |
Question: Why is my church friend who’s older than me ignoring my texts and won’t answer me? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 05:21 PM PDT I met her a few years ago back in either July 2014 or 2015 and she texted me yesterday saying she wants me to bring the Bible she gave me when we met to church Sunday. I asked her why she wants it but she ignores me and doesn't respond. why can't she just text her answer back and not be rude? When she asks or texts me something I always answer her. So if she's good and a Christian person (we go to a Christian church and she invited me when we met to go with her there). why is she being rude? Should I just go to church Sunday and not bring the Bible since she won't tell me the real reason she wants me to bring it? |
Question: Do you need to have some drama in your life to have friends? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 05:20 PM PDT I ve noticed that in my friend group that everyone tries really hard to keep in touch with one of my more dramatic friends than me or anyone else in the group. I know part of it is that my dramatic friend keeps check on everyone and is always available but is that it? Or is it the drama? Because I hardly get personally asked to do anything or to just text. I m just included when she is. Sometimes when we re all together, what I say doesn t seem to matter. I don t have drama in my life and I like it. I make pretty reasonable decisions. I just want to know if I m boring or what? |
Question: Where are good places to make friends and social networking? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 05:13 PM PDT I know that church maybe good but what other places are very good for social networking and meeting people and making new friends? I mean in person, not Facebook, Twitter or online social network. |
Posted: 10 Jul 2018 05:04 PM PDT My friend has been cutting herself and getting addicted to drugs and alcohol so I was afraid that she'd harm herself more. I told her mom. Now my friend is saying that I'm never going to be her friend again and calling me names and then blocked me on everything. What do I do? Am I a horrible person for telling her mom? |
Posted: 10 Jul 2018 04:53 PM PDT We want to celebrate my 13th birthday together next week. He helps me deal with everything. The popular girl hates me at school, my friends dropped me and i lost my friends in 7th grade. He makes me feel less lonely and unwanted. He's been bullied because the basketball kids hated him too. His mom is a jerk to him. Receiving texts from him makes me smile big-time. So, my mom doesn't care about my problems. She'll probably be ok with it, and we meet at the park in the after-noon. Not many people hangout there though. Summer is boring without any friends too. He's suppose to be a senior graduating this year, so he's not that old. |
Question: Why did I see a shadowy figure and couldn't move? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 04:42 PM PDT So about a month ago I was camping at the Piney River in Tennessee for clarification with my best friend, her little sister, their niece, her older sister, her nieces dad, her nieces stepdad, a couple of people that are friends with her nieces dad and stepdad and mom, and some other kids that I didn't know but were the kids of one of thems friends. Me and my best friend who is 6 years older than me, Kashmir decided to sleep without a tent. I kept going to sleep and waking up and I was freezing cold and had a headache like Kashmir did. I usually sleep on my right side so I had my back to her and she had her back to me. Well I woke up around I'm going to guess maybe 3 am or so. I was facing Kashmir and she was facing me. Well I mean yea people move in their sleep but all of the sudden Kashmir looked super far away and I saw a shadowy figure that looked like the lead singer of black veil brides when they came out with their first album. The aur felt heavy with curiosity and I wasn't scared. I just went back to sleep. Well I woke up again and it was knelt beside me. It seemed kind of worried about me and all I could do was close my eyes. I'm so confused. |
Question: Does this make me a bad friend? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 04:17 PM PDT I have this friend who is very popular but she is one of the popular kids who are nice to their peers. I am a very soft spoken person who can sometimes be loud and crazy. I feel like I am a bad friend cause I feel like I always just embarrass her apparently. I just got a hair cut that's real short because I wanted to try something new and my hair before was a mess. Every time we'd go out she'd beg me to wear a hat to hide my short hair. I like to go by Ricky rather than my real name but she gets mad and says "You're a girl, not a boy, your name is (my name) NOT RICKY" she's mad that I am this way and says I am a bad friend because people make fun of her for being friends with a "lower class" on the popularity chain. Honestly I think this is stupid considering I am 19 and should have the right to have my hair how I want and have my nickname how I want without worrying what my friend's peers think because this feels so 9th grade.. but my question is though, am I a bad friend for not wanting to change who I am? And honestly I don't think I am a bad friend but it's easier said than done to believe things. |
Question: Hi a question about friendship of three? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 03:09 PM PDT I wonder if I am handling this right, I met a friend through this other friend and for a time we would go out together. But slowly this friend at first so wonderful became abusive and discarded me. I think she may be a narcissist. She would also call me when she wanted something and then never be there for me. I noticed that when we were alltogether she would never let me get a word in. And everything had to be about her. This other friend with whom I hit it off very quickly has been doing very well in life after a double tragedy. I never wanted to tell her anything as she had been through enough. And I never wanted to tell her how much she was criticised and gossiped about by this friend. This really put me off her. She has been away studying, and has come for a short stay and once again I have not seen her, only with this other friend being around and arranging a visit to my home. She was telling me how they have been everywhere together but I am not the jealous type. Although I was hurt that I was left in the dark as she was not answering my calls. I was just wondering if I did the right thing not reacting. However I cannot seem to see my other friend, we have not spoken in so long and I have missed her. Before she came over we both arranged a day together but it has all changed. |
Question: Is this a true friend? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 12:32 PM PDT Is a long story I knew him since we are in high school and middle school. Right now we are 20 years old. All my 4 other friends started to hate him they told me that his not your real friends he taking advantage from me he told my 4 friends that I'm dumb, annoying, weird and retarded disability. And he have been calling me names like dumb retarded Asian yellow chink, go back to Asia, ugly yellow Asian chink, small penis, small eyes, pussy, dumbass disability Asian and he use me for cash and he gets very mad if I joke around. He have been calling me cheap and not pay for his food. He uses my family money and not refund it all. Is he a true friend ? |
Question: Have you heard of any other girls doing something like this? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 12:02 PM PDT TL;DR: I'm a girl who responded to boy bullies as a kid by flirting with them; ever heard of anyone else who's ever done this? I faced bullying as a little girl. I didn't know how to respond to it. When I told teachers, I would rarely get the response I needed. I was too weak to beat up my enemies. So how I responded to bullies was by pretending to be in love with them, chasing them around the playground and always blowing them kisses. My goal of getting them to stay away from me sure worked, but it severely damaged my social reputation in elementary and middle school. Everyone wanted to stay away from me, wouldn't want to be my friend, or sit near me. It really hurt even though I caused it. Even though I realized I was being annoying by my weird flirt-with-bullies habit, I couldn't stop it until I thankfully moved on to another chapter of my life. When my father remarried, my stepbrother made fun of me so I'd pretend to be in love with him to keep him away. That habit stopped quickly when my stepbrother's father sternly talked to me. Years later, my stepmom curiously questioned my old behavior. When I explained that's how I dealt with bullies as a kid, she was surprised and said she'd never heard of kids doing that. To this day I haven't met any other girls who recall doing this though a friend said she knew other girls who did it. I wonder why I responded this unique way. |
Posted: 10 Jul 2018 11:25 AM PDT I'm 25. I work full-time. It's just a retail job, but I haven't found anything else. Through college I did work hard, but had been admitted once for a mental breakdown. I didn't make any new friends there. The one best friend I had who went there with me died. I have a few others but...I don't know. My sister always makes fun of me that I've never kissed a girl or gone on a date. I don't talk to people enough. I don't know how, or how to ask someone out, OR what to do on a date? I still live with my family and love them, I just don't want to be alone. The past year I've been working out and getting more fit, but I just feel so isolated. My dad only met my mom because his sister married my mom's brother. I'm so terrified I'll die without ever finding love, that I'll die alone. I don't know what I'm asking but, I'm always in panic. Please help. |

Question: How to become a lot less nice and alittle bit more mean? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 10:10 AM PDT All my life I've always been goodie two shoes would never be mean to other people. But I really want to know how to be a lot less nice to people, becuaee it seems like everyone takes advantage of that and walk all over me. I'm 20 now and even little kids or people a year or two younger then me takes advantage of me and treats me like trash and I'm sick of it. Please can anyone give me good advice how to. |
Question: I FEEL SO GUILTY, but me and this girl dry humped when we were younger? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 09:52 AM PDT When I was maybe 8 or 9, me and this girl we're hanging out (families knew each other) at my house in my basement. Eventually it led to us playing, and she told me to put my stomach on top of hers and I did. Then I started feeling really pleased by it (I was a kid so I didn't know what it meant) so she let me get on top of her, and we started dry humping for like 5 min, but then it stopped. We didn't take it as anything bad, we just saw it as playing as kids, BUT NOW THAT I LOOK BACK AT IT, I FEEL SO BAD. Also me and her do not talk anymore |
Question: To lose a friend and an employee over how they do their job? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 09:36 AM PDT So we have been best friends since we were five.I am the manager and we worked together until the other day . She forgot to shut the door to my office and so I screamed at her because I didn't feel good. So she says something sarcastic. And I ended up blowing up at her and bringing all the things she has done to annoy me lately and told her not to bother.Meanwhile she gets all the more sarcastic and keeps saying I don't care, you always have an excuse why you are always pissed off. She would not stop talking about how she is dressing as a cow for free sandwich day at chick filet which is retarded. So I called her a ******* shitty *** ***** and threaten to fire her, and told her she is uninvited from our thing at six flags. She left a note saying whatever. You will probably cancel because you would rather watch tv all day and why would I wanna hang with someone who thinks I am a stupid shitty *** *****? I have mood swings and she is autistic or something and seems to lack having empathy for anyone but herself.also she is a big crybaby. Maybe I should look for new friends but most other women annoy me. The other day she bugged me to get a pizza. I really wanted to, but then it made me sick because I started obsessing over how fat it is gonna make me. People at work seem, to either be afraid to talk to me , or agree with everything I say. on my day off I watch law and order genius |
Question: Is she NOT interested? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 08:55 AM PDT I texted a girl how has she been because I've not seen her for months, and she replied great, thanks. I hope you are doing well. So, I followed up by asking her how is her school, she texted back few days later saying it's okay, and that she wishes me best of luck in my school work |
Question: How to deal with this friend she started to drive me crazy? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 08:37 AM PDT I have this friend who been my friend for about 4 years now but she been lately saying things that are not true and making things look wrost then it is for example I had a bad fall last year do my balance disability and I broke my elbow had sugery and went through 8 months of pt for balance work and my elbow she been telling people the doctor I had did a bad Job and it I can't move my arm when I can I have like 80 Perrcent of my range of motion back I m having no problems with my elbow the doctor in my option was excellent and he a great Job I don't why she saying that. Advice needed |
Question: Who's at fault? And what should I do? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 08:27 AM PDT I said some things about a friend but the person I said it to went back and repeated what I said and even twisted my words and lied on me as well. Also the person I said it to was talking about this person she told everything I said but nothing she said. This lady asked me questions about my friend took what I said and ran with it. I'll give an example this lady told me what her son said about my friend (her son said my friend smelled bad and he called her funky monkey) now all I did was agree with it and I went on to say " I smelled her once before but I didn't say anything because I dont know how to say it without offensive her or it comes out the wrong way" this lady went back and told my friend I said she stank and she nasty. She twisted everything I said me and the friend got into an argument and we are not talking. She doesn't want to be my friend anymore. What do I do? |
Question: Was I doing something wrong making money for college expenses? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 07:43 AM PDT Many years ago I wanted to go to college when I got out of high school but there was a BIG PROBLEM. I didn't have the money to do it. Then I had an idea. This was before movies had ratings. I went to each theater in the college town and made a deal with them. If I could increase their attendance for a selected movie, they agreed to give me 50 percent of the increased profit. They all agreed as they had nothing to loose. Then about once every 7 weeks I wrote a letter to the newspapers saying a movie had sex scenes in it and that you would go to Hell if you went to see it. I paid my college friends to go to several churches in the area and tell everyone that would listen the same story. I asked everyone to spread the word to NOT go see that movie. The theater owners loved what I was doing. They were making money like crazy and so was I. What really amazed me was this continued to work for all my college years. Surprisingly nobody ever caught on. The few people that know what I did said that I should not be making money off people's natural tendency to go see a movie that they are told not to see. What do you think? Was I doing something wrong or was this good training for how the business world operates? |
Question: My girlfriends never want to take photos?? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 06:34 AM PDT With all of the women out there obsessed with selfies, I'm unsure why my friends never want us to take photos when we're out. One of my best friends from high school is insecure about her weight - but we're in our mid 30s and we have no photos together of memories we make when we go out. She refuses to capture our moments together. Yesterday I met up with a younger friend who's gorgeous and I have not seen her in over 7 years and she forbid me to post or take photos of us together even though it was a cool time hanging out and making memories. I have no digital footprints of times with friends to look back on (regardless of postings on social media) because it seems like all the women I'm friends with don't like the way they look or are too private. I also don't know if they're intimidated by my physical appearance, as I'm slim and in shape and they seem shy about having ANY photos of themselves taken, which I still think is strange! Is this odd given that sooo many women are selfie-obsessed these days??? What about pics that are NOT for online and they just don't want to take memories/photos together. I'd wanted some just for myself to have in my photo albums and not for social media. |
Question: Why did people look up to me in elementary school? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 06:23 AM PDT I remember that there was this little girl on the bus who used to look up to me back in elementary skool for some reason despite me treating her like ****. |
Posted: 10 Jul 2018 05:40 AM PDT Me and my brother have never really been close. But he is good with people and great to have at parties. For some reason we got talking about how I don't have many friends. My brother felt that it might get boring in the future if I am all alone with my gf. He said to me: "I really mean no offense but tbh with you, you are quite boring and socially awkward. So was I after high school. The difference is that I moved away and forced myself to become more social. I made mistakes, I learned, the hard way, to be social and how to talk and deal with people. People are an investment for the future. Your problem is that you don't invest in people. How many hours of your free time do you spend with friends or at social events in a month? For you that might not be an investment worth making but I think it is. You don't need much. A friend or two is not a bad thing to have. Let me ask you. What will you do if it doesn't work out with your gf?" I get what he is saying but as off today I am pretty happy. I hang out mostly with my gf and I don't have an issue with being alone. He has tried over the years to get me to tag along with him and his friends but I don't feel like it. And honestly I haven't considered if things don't work out with my gf. I'll deal with it then. Not all of us like to sit around, drink and talk about nothing with people you don't care about. I just don't see the problem. |

Question: I'm getting bullied again? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 02:19 AM PDT Okay, so there's this girl in my class who likes my best friend and has been jealous of our friendship ever since she met him. She's been trying to break up our friendship from the beginning. First, by excluding me, and when he wasn't having any of it she started playing the nice game. Anyways, ever since she's been developing a really close friendship with him by spending tons of time with him while talking bad behind my back to everyone. My reputation isn't what it was. Recently, I sent my friend a text thanking him for being the only one to show up to my party, because no one else responded. Ever since, he's been avoiding me, while she's been getting bolder in her bullying me through mean comments, and making my lip bleed during a P.E. partner activity. He's been standing bystander while this happens and hasn't checked in on me. What do I do? What's going on? Any guys with feedback on why he's acting like this? How do I move forward with dignity when I have no other friends? BTW, we were friends for three years before she met him. He's never cared about being popular in the past, until recently most of his family moved away. Now, he's trying harder to fit in, and I get the sense that he's been feeling that being best buds with me (as the outcast) is holding him back. This was before he started avoiding me. |

Posted: 09 Jul 2018 11:04 PM PDT She has a history of struggling with mental illness. She had a pretty bad depressive episode a few weeks ago, but she said she was all better. Anyway, I'm dealing with a lot of drama at work right now that's really upsetting me and I want someone to talk about it with. She's one of the only people I feel comfortable confiding in about it besides my sister, who I already told. I called her, she didn't answer. So I texted her to call me, she texted me saying what's up. So I told her I had a lot to tell her and could she talk? She just texted back saying oh wow I can't believe I missed so much (since she had been out of town the past few days). I just said yeah, just call me whenever you get the chance and I'll fill you in. Three days have gone by and she hasn't gotten back to me. So I asked if she would be up to hanging out and she left me on read. I understand she has a lot going on in her personal life, but I would be there for her if she needed me. I also know she has a lot got on mentally, and needs time to herself. But where is the line drawn between that and just not being a very good best friend? I feel like I'm basically begging her to be there for me and she's just not. We really are close, which is why I don't feel uncomfortable asking her to call or double texting or whatever. We have lived together and been best friends since seventh grade. I'm not usually a high maintenance friend and very rarely do I get upset and truly need someone to talk to like I do now. we are both 18 |
Posted: 09 Jul 2018 11:03 PM PDT My friend A and I are going on a trip to Hawaii and we are paying for ourselves, but I feel bad for my other friend, X. X and I used to be closer in the past but we are still friends now and she probably knows A and I have grown closer in the past year. I still talk to X every now and then, so should and how do I let her know I am going on a trip with A. I want to be able to post on social media of our trip freely, but I do not want to make it seem like I am shoving it in her face nor do I want to make her feel worse. |
Question: Does this guy sound like bad news? Posted: 09 Jul 2018 10:07 PM PDT Ok so Im talking to this guy. I have been for like 7 months now. We met at college. My friends told me multiple times that he's really cute but they said he's gonna break my heart. he's a little background. So he's 25 and still trying to graduate. Everybody goes at their own pace so its not a big deal. But he's had a past of heavy drinking. He got 2 duis and still drinks and drives to this day. He was rude to me on a few occasions when he was drunk in the beginning but he stopped. He has issues with anger as well. He punched holes in his wall and even punched and broke his window in his room. He told me he doesn't like when people tell him what to do, (including police) he told me hell give them attitudes and such. The thing is he's really sweet to me. My friends dont understand the side of him I see. He has treated me to dinner a good amount of times, and when he knows what he's doing in the bed. The thing is he's sketchy. Like when were not together i dont know what he's up to... he told me he hates texting so i rarely get texts from him. I told him I like him and he told me he likes me too but Im really confused since its been 7 months. My friends told me to back off and have him chase me. So i did and didn't text him for a week but he didn't bite. So I ended up calling him. Like I said when were together he makes me feel so wonderful. But the second we part I dont know where we stand. Is that normal? |
Posted: 09 Jul 2018 10:06 PM PDT I'm sixteen years old, and I'm currently involved in a training program for young people (13-16) who would like to be employees for this company. There's a group of people that I hung around with during breaks for the first few days, as old friends and such were in it, but nowadays it seems they really dislike me. We were all in a circle, and one of them mentioned that another person was having a party for the whole training staff, then the person hit her in the arm and motioned to me. She's inviting some people who she knows a lot less than me, and I know it must be something about me that makes me so disliked, but what do I do? There are four more weeks of this program and I don't know how much more I can take. When we were all supposed to group in a circle, everyone closed their chairs off to me and I was left sitting on the outside. I understand not wanting to be friends with me, but why do I have to be treated so cruelly. Advice, anyone? |

Question: Could this girl like me? Posted: 09 Jul 2018 08:59 PM PDT She wants to hang out with me and asked me if I plan on working soon. I'm not working at the moment. Question: Does this girl like me more than a friend? Posted: 09 Jul 2018 08:44 PM PDT So I've known this girl for 7 months. We messed around a lot and hooked up. She told me she liked me to my face on various occasions. The thing is Im not sure if this was only friends with benefits. We would go out a lot together. Like once a week we would go food shopping together and just really get along. We would go get lunches/dinners together, get drinks together or just hang out sometimes and not even hook up she told me one time out of nowhere one night, "im single" and on the same night was hugging me asking If I like her. The thing is too before we even had sex this girl told me she liked me. And when I brought up the idea of sex and asked her if its important she told me she's not as sexual as most girls but it is important. Now Im pretty sure friends with benefits means strictly sex right? With no feelings or attachment? The thing is this girl would text me things that were going on in her everyday life. She would also always show affection by holding my hand, playing with my hair, giving me random kisses on the cheek and what not and saying how funny or cute I was. This is honestly my first friends with benefits, and I actually brought up the idea of it in the beginning. When I brought it up she seemed kind of on the fence about it. My question is can friends with benefits be only friends with benefits if both of them like each other and do the stuff I described? |
Question: Made a bad impression on new friends!! What should I do now? Posted: 09 Jul 2018 08:36 PM PDT Next year I'll be a sophomore in college and I'm living with 3 other girls. These girls are already really close friends with each other. When we found out we were living together they were really nice and invited me to dinner and we pre-gamed and went to a few parties together. But the last time we went to a party I messed up. I got way too drunk. I made a fool of myself and was too loud and oversharing info and I embarrassed myself with this guy we know. I was sloppy drunk that night and my behavior and what I said was all very embarrassing especially bc I was apparently yelling (not angry just loud). I apologized a lot and no one said anything like "it's ok" and I can't interpret though text if they are mad. They invited me out again like 2 weeks later but when it was time to go out they didn't respond (but I saw on snap that they got really high and stayed inside I think, so i can understand why they wouldn't respond) I just worry they don't want to be friends anymore. They stopped inviting me to parties though I did see one at a party and when I went up to her and said hi, she hugged me but maybe she just didn't want to be rude. Also, she blocked my main account on her finsta today but she still follows me on her main account. I really want us to be friends but there isn't really anything I can do to fix this over the summer w/o looking crazy. Ik I made a bad impression and I'm worried we won't be friends and they'll all have fun together w/ me left out. Any advice?? Also, I am definately a worrier so I may be overreacting and obsessing. It's possible they don't even think about what happened and everything is fine but I can't stop worrying. Ik logically it would make sense that all is forgiven but my thoughts are irrational when I'm worried :( And our apartment is set up so two girls share each room so I'm bound to become close/friends with the girl I share a room with, right? |

Question: How do you get rid of imaginary friends when you thought you’d grow out of em? Posted: 09 Jul 2018 07:34 PM PDT I was never popular as a kid and I preferred imaginary, "real" friends over real-life, "fake" friends who just aren't as "deep" as I like to see people.. I thought I'd grow out of this, but I'm 20 and still don't have any friends and still "interact" with imaginary friends, to an extent.. Like I want someone there, but only when I "feel like it" so I don't want a real friend bc then we gotta make it work vs imaginary friends its all on my own "terms"... I know, I'm weird, and I don't want this going farther and becoming someone actually "crazy" who talks to people who aren't there but its hard to let go of this childhood friend who's still pretty much the only person I "talk" to.. (I dont talk aloud its in my head now..) Now Im freaking out Im gonna go crazy if I keep up this fake friend but I dont really feel like going to make friends bc i dunno where to start..... First Q, will I actually start talking to the friend and turn crazy if I dont get real life ppl in my life, and Q2, What should I do to put this fake friend behind me and not "miss" them..? |
