Question: Am I overreacting at this situation with this girl? Posted: 11 Jul 2018 03:49 PM PDT So this girl and I have been talking for 7 months now. We hooked up and messed around quite a bit and went out a lot together like to bars, and restaurants and stuff. We always held hands and always greeted each other/said good bye with a kiss on the lips. She always would touch me and tell me how cute I was. She also told me she liked me to my face multiple times. Anyways, we didnt see each other for 2 months. She went to study abroad. We still kept in touch though and didnt go more than 5 days without contact. We went out for lunch today and it was the first time we saw each other in a while obviously. So when I picked her up we kissed each other on the cheek. She gave me 2 gifts that she got from europe. When we were at lunch the connection we had came back pretty fast. We were both laughing a lot and ended up staying at the restaurant for 3 hours. We were flirting by touching our legs under the table. when i dropped her off I grabbed her and brang her into to hug me and I told her I missed her, she told me the same and we were just hugging for like 20 seconds. Then she told me we have to go out again for dinner and to a bar after next week. We kissed on the cheeks again and she left... Is it a big deal that we didnt make out or at least didnt kiss on the lips? I mean I think she still likes me she touched my face a couple times today but I dont know why we didnt kiss on the lips.. I dont know if its because we didnt see each other in a while but still. |

Posted: 11 Jul 2018 01:22 PM PDT I cut off my friend of five years after she lied to my face for 6 months about dating a guy that was repeatedly rude to me. I tried to talk to her about it, but she twisted it around to make me look like the bad guy for being upset. I cut her off, it didn't hurt at first but it bothers me daily now. Is there any way to get over these feelings of hurt? Talking to her isn't an option, I reached out to her three times to see if we could both apologize but I heard nothing back from her. |
Question: Who do I take On The Trip? Posted: 11 Jul 2018 11:27 AM PDT So my adults are planning a trip to the beach and they want my sister and I to each bring a friend. Now I have two best friends (I only go to school with one of them tho) and the first one I feel I am obligated to take because she took me on a trip with her family for spring break and I want to return the favor. But my other friend is moving states at the end of the summer and I Feel like I have to take her like as a goodbye. And I can't take both for a number of reasons. So which one should it be? |
Posted: 11 Jul 2018 09:56 AM PDT I graduated high school about 2 months ago, but I have decided that for the time being, I will stay with my parents and work on video games. When I was in high school, I was admittedly quite antisocial, and I never really talked to people or tried to meet up with them outside of school, and as a result, I have no particularly close friends from high school now that it's over. I live in a suburban area near Chicago, where I'm a bit intimidated to make friends around my age by just walking around outside, so I can't think of any safe or reliable ways to meet new people that share my interests. I want to start being more social, but I don't really know where to start. |
Question: Should I take this girl back as a friend or just remain friendly, but not be friends? Posted: 11 Jul 2018 09:18 AM PDT Before anyone flames me, I'm 25 and much older and wiser. It's a long story, so I'll spare the details. I was 21 years ago and I met this girl (I'll call her Susie). Because I was naive, I loaned her $150. I felt like I was an easy target for manipulation and she was a snake, because her true colors started to shine after 3 months and she became more toxic. Because of that experience, I refuse to give anybody money. My mistakes is that I was too naive and I forgot the basic "dos and donts" of making friends because I didn't socialize with others in years (I started socializing again when I turned 21). To start over in making new friends, I found this chapter for people from my country and people around my age. The problem is that she's in the chapter too (I didn't know she was there until I went to the first meeting). She starts acting all nice to me and welcoming, in contrast to how toxic she used to be back in college. I am nice to her, but I doubt I would get my money back even if I asked. I will always remain friendly because it's a club we are both in, but there will be no new friendships. If anything were to happen between us again, people would say it was my fault for taking her back. I don't get why people who WERE toxic in the past think that they are entitled to new friendships with the people they were toxic to just because they don't act toxic anymore. It's okay to forgive, but that doesn't mean you should take toxic people back in your life with open arms. Well, I forgot that today is 4 years after it happened!! |
Question: How can I tell if I'm manipulating my friend? Posted: 11 Jul 2018 08:27 AM PDT So I have this friend and the two of us do roleplays together (not sexually) and when she wants to do a type that I don't want to i reject as many times necessary for her to give in, on the other hand, when I want to do a type that she doesn't want I either beg until she gives up or I make a promise I rarely ever keep. I know that I'm a liar but I don't know if I'm a manipulator and if I am I want to fix myself. Am I manipulating her? If so how do I fix our friendship? |
Question: Overweight friend isn't motivated? Posted: 11 Jul 2018 07:32 AM PDT My best friend is trying to lose weight, but has no "goal" or target. She's been heavy all of her life but says she wants to be smaller and sexier. She's on a "diet" - but doesn't exercise or move around a lot. The biggest part of her problem is she blames her exboyfriend's death from 5 years ago for her not being able to heal and lose weight. Her ex was found dead inside of another woman's home - a woman he got pregnant while he and my friend were together. Instead of my friend moving on 5 years later, she's using his death as a crutch for why she can't lose weight and "heal" from things. What can I say to her that's not mean? I've been supportive of her - even gave her my old FitBit to help her motivate herself to walk more. She wants to lose weight and feels uncomfortable with herself, but how can I tell her she's holding onto a toxic past and I don't understand how that unhealthy relationship is still causing her to keep her weight on all these years later. |
Question: My coworkers want my tips on improving their numbers but I don't want to share.? Posted: 11 Jul 2018 06:28 AM PDT My team is in competition with each other at work; the ones that get the highest numbers can earn gift cards or points to buy nice items, better work schedules, raises and bonuses. I've been getting really good numbers lately and can feel tension within my team about it. Some want to see my work and talk to me to get tips. How should I handle? |
Question: I have a friend who lives in Houston, Texas who fears for her life.? Posted: 11 Jul 2018 02:29 AM PDT Someone close to her stabbed her mom and sent her a threat from prison. He gets out this week. Who can she see to help her deal with this and protect her family? |
Question: What does this mean? Posted: 11 Jul 2018 01:21 AM PDT my friend is usually really interested in what I have to say and gives me detailed replies, but tonight I sent her something and she was drunk so she replied with just "oh wow". they say the truth comes out when you're drunk, so does this mean she doesn't ever care about what I say and aways wants to reply with a sarcastic "oh wow" but pretends to care when she's sober? or does it mean she was just drunk and slow and didn't have the energy to reply?? |
Question: Is she just an old friend or is there more? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 11:54 PM PDT I'm in AP Theatre Studio, alongside an old friend. (I'll call her Ann) We've been performing together since we were little, and now we go to the same school. The program is a joke, no one takes it seriously except us and we always slip away to the sound booth to run lines together. She's pursuing this as a career path, and I've always been blown away by how dedicated she is. Course, her family is rich and they've been financing her dream since she was five. My family is different. We make ends meet, but that's about it. Our political/religious/social views are all different, yet that's never been a problem. Our parents get along well, Ann's family likes me. Her mom carpools us to rehearsals, and sometimes I go over to her house after school and hang with her and her sister. When her family goes on vacations, they invite me to come along. Ann's cousins all think we're sleeping together, have joked before that we act like a married couple which makes us laugh - but is there any truth to that? We've never dated or talked about that. We snap-chat every night and sometimes she'll snap me while she's in the bath. When we go to the beach I'm the one who rubs sunscreen onto her back. She sleeps on my shoulder. We made out once at a cast party last year, but it was mainly post-show euphoria, and nothing came of it. Is this going to go somewhere or am I imagining things? It's never been awkward, we've always felt relaxed with each other, but are we becoming a couple? |
Question: Should I be friends with her???? Help please!!? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 10:44 PM PDT So there is a new girl at my school this year and she talked to me a little and I learned some things about her. She lives with her grandma along with her siblings Her mom is a drug addict and has been in jail and been in abusive relationships. Her dad abused her mom so they divorced They are very poor. After learning that it kinda gave me the creeps. My best friend thinks we should be friends with her but I don't like the idea and for some reason I just don't trust this girl. She really does seem like a nice person. She's not mean and she needs some friends. But idk if I should be friends with a person that has that kinda background life. I'm sorry if anyone finds this offending or rude or selfish. But any advice would help? |
Question: Friend isn t talking to me after doing drugs? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 10:41 PM PDT So I ve been friends with said person almost 3 years now. We ve traveled together, cried together etc. She has been a huge part of my life, and I can t imagine my life without her friendship. Recently, we decided to do MDMA. I wanted to wait till we were both in a better place / state of mind as she was unemployed and I was going through some personal stuff. But she asked me to do it Saturday and so we did it. The trip was great, she got a little paranoid towards the end and asked me to go home, so I left her place that night didn t think much of it. Later I didn t hear from her for 3 days. The 4th day we texted and she told me she was mad at me. I called her and she then proceeded to scream at me on the phone exclaiming that I was a manipulative person and that I was tracking her phone and listening in on her conversations. I was shocked and utterly dumbfounded. I told her that was ludicrous and asked her to calm down and tell me what was really going on. We ended the conversation with her telling me that she felt we were too close and needed a break from our friendship. To be fair we had been hanging out a lot recently, but it seemed so natural I did not question it. She recently moved so I was over a lot in the beginning helping her paint unpack etc. and that cycled into me coming over more. I ve NEVER done anything to make her feel that way in the past but now I am questioning it. Has anyone ever had a similar experience with someone they ve tripped with? |
Question: What should I do with this picture? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 10:12 PM PDT I have a picture on my phone of a really close friend of mine. They recently died, and part of me wants to get rid of it, the other doesn t. What should I do? I miss them so much, please help. |
Question: Old friend is obsessed with me? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 09:51 PM PDT So, im a senior in high school and at the end of junior year, I ended a friendship with a friend because I didnt like how she was behaving and she just wasnt that great of a friend to begin with. So its been two months now, I am completely fine and actually happier having left her behind me. However, one of my good guy friends is still friends with her and has said concerning things. For one, this girl sometimes messages me, but I just ignore them because I dont want to hear any of it. He said that she told him she literally checks her phone every thirty minutes waiting for an answer. He also showed me their texts and everything she says is about me and its either in a scary threat like tone or really creepy. He told her she should maybe go to a therapist or something with her issues arising, but she said she refuses to speak to one unless I talk to her in a month. Ive seen messages that she sends to him about how she literally reads our old texts or letters I gave her a while back, and she refuses to see anyone but she wants to see me only. Honestly, im creeped out. I am in a club that meets every saturday, but it was delayed for about three weeks. This weekend its back and she is a part of it. Im kinda scared of her and really dont want to talk to her. What do i do? |

Question: How should I approach this situation? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 07:57 PM PDT It's a long story but I'm gonna cut it short. Lately I've noticed that my neighbors in my neighborhood were spying on me. And now I found out that they think I'm in a gang which I find hilarious because I'm no where close to that. Like I'm literally the complete opposite of that. But how can I approach this situation??? It's been annoying because them watching me is literally annoying! I can't walk out to check the mail comfortably!! How can I make them stop because they are wasting their time and energy on me when I'm basically been a good citizen? |
Question: When a girl says she’s not interested in dating you? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 07:52 PM PDT Yet she is open to hanging out with you as friend, is there a chance you can change her mind? Could her mind change as she gets to know you better? |

Question: Something happened with a close friend last night? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 07:30 PM PDT I'm a guy. Been friends with a girl since 9th grade. (Lets call her Jo) We got closer in college since we attend the same local campus. We hang out all the time with friends, come to each other's dorms to study. There's never been any romantic/ sexual tension. Like sure, she's attractive, but she was never my type and we were pals. Jo is a lightweight and when she gets drunk she gets really outgoing and honest. She'll voice thoughts she usually keeps to herself. Last night we were both at a party. Everyone was going in the pool and some of the girls were skinny dipping in the hot tub and a tipsy Jo invited me to join. There wasn't much room so she sat in my lap, which was awkward cause I got hard. I've never really dated much, focused on other things, so it was a first for me. She didn't seem bothered. Once we got inside I helped her up the stairs and we ended up having a long heart to heart talk like we have before. Jo was holding my hands in hers and telling me she worries for me cause I'm "super nice, just not very assertive." And how I could be the somebody's dream come true, if I only knew what I was missing. We were still naked, and eventually Jo decided to give me some "experience" and ended up sucking me off. I didn't expect it or even really consent, but it felt too good to push her away. The next morning she was still a bit buzzed, but we haven't talked about it since. I'm afraid to ask but I don't know what to think. Does she like me? Was it a one time thing? |
Question: MY BEST FRIEND IS HIDING SOMETHING!!!!!? Posted: 10 Jul 2018 05:48 PM PDT I have two best friends. One of them just recently came out as bisexual. He told us who he likes, but he never says anything else about the topic. When we try to ask him questions he always says it's personal, and he doesn't want a lot of people to know. He says that to us, but he goes and talks about how he feels and about the type of guys he likes to these two girls (who I happen to be close friends with). We are his best friends. We tell each other everything. I don't understand why he doesn't want to tell us, but goes and tells people he isn't even close with. Why is he being so distant to us? |
