Question: Everyone is being so unfair to me? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 01:55 PM PDT So, this will be a long story I m 21 years old, my brother is 23 Everyone (my family..etc.. Would let me brother drive our cars but when i drive, they get angry at me, today, my car was at the mechanic and i wanted to go to the market to buy something...when i was on my way, A music was playing, that i liked and i decided to take a vid and share it on snapchat, so my uncle, saw the video, and called me, he first said you shared a video, where were you going, and i said that, i was going to the market, and he said, alone? I said, umm, yes? It s not a big deal i mean like, why? And he said if you drive again, i will break your legs and he threatened me...i was like really shocked, because i mean really, there is nothing wrong that i did, and i m a 21 year old male, which I m a really really good driver, but he just loves my brother more than me, i remember when i was 16 and my brother was 18, he would send him to road trips and etc... But when i drive he gets mad...why?! I m really heartbroken right now, and i know that they are treating me differently, just like I m not a part of the family, even my parents are treating me differently, what should i do? |
Question: Leave my live in Bf or stay and figure it out? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 01:51 PM PDT Ok so all he does is smoke and drink. He comes home and drinks at least 5 beers a night. Then on the weekends he gets drunk. All we do is hangout with his parents either at their house or they come with us to his friends houses. they are more like his friends then parents and I can't take it. He spends all his money on beer and cigarettes and we never do anything I want to do. He always gets defensive when I try to talk to him about how much he drinks and how much his family drinks. I am not kidding they have events where its just a huge drunk fest all weekend and they call it a family vacation. every event is to do with drinking beer. We also don't ever talk about anything. I feel like i'm going to exploded and i'm only 21 years old. I don't know what to do but it feels good to tell someone how I feel. I cant keep it in any longer. Also I live an hour from my family and we are only 16 mins from his family. He doesn't want to live closer to my family even though I asked if we could just be a little closer. I have a 40 min drive to collage so he can have a shorter drive to work (20 mins). I wanted to go to the beach this weekend and he told me that it sounded really boring and he wouldn't go. Instead he said we could hangout at his parents house where I would just sit there bored while his parents and him drink and smoke till 2 am and its awful. I think I know what to do but its so hard since we live together I don't know how to tell him that I am so unhappy. |

Question: Why does my husband have 2 cars? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 01:45 PM PDT Okay. So my husband and I each have our car we use to get to work. He has a Lexus RX350, and I have a Toyota Rav4. However, yesterday as I went to clean up the basement yesterday, and I saw my another car down there, which was a Honda Accord. Why does my husband have 2 cars? Is he cheating on me or what? |
Question: Is he hinting he's interested? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 01:11 PM PDT We broke up and when I tried going back(6 months ago) he said he wouldn't forgive me for saying something about his mom when he said something to mine first(idiotic).I didn't chase him. We ran into eachother one day i expected him to ignore but he smiled and said hi.Now he keeps looking at me, making eye contact and i caught him looking at me sneakily through the door crack. He's started coming out about the same time as I do and he said hi hesitantly and smiling. Few Sundays ago I was going down the stairs and he was behind me. He was "on the phone" saying he was leaving church and would call back which wasn't necessary since church was already over. I feel like he did it so I'd know he was behind me. We walked next to eachother he smiled and said how are you. We had a few exchanges and I asked him about his sick brother. The following week he didnt show himself inside church(he's a deacon) as I was leaving he was behind me going down the stairs. I turned around just saw a glimpse of him and turned back around didn't say hi. I was always stand offish and would not rally look at him when he'd constantly look, so he started not standing on the stage as much. I've started looking at him more and mildly smiling. He looked and smiled big this Sunday and left early to pass by me and smiled I smiled back and he winked. Why doesn't he text me though? |
Question: MY MOM WONT FEED ME, HELP!!? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 01:06 PM PDT THERE HASNT BEEN FOOD FOR DAYS, I HAVE TO GO BUY FOOD FOR MYSELF BUT ITS HARD WITH VERY LITTLE MONEY I HAVE. IM ONLY 15, AND STILL IN SCHOOL. EVERYTIME I TELL HER SHE ALWAYS SAYS "Kids in other countries are less fortuante then you are" PLEASE PLEASE, HOW DO I COUNTER-ARGUE THAT, I CANT COME UP WITH ANYTHING |
Question: Why some people want to see me fat? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 12:44 PM PDT Like I was thin till middle school and gained 20 pounds and by 10th grade I lost it. But i got teased a lot by relatives and people and they didn't like the idea of me going on a diet. Like I dont care about people and body types. I was more into eating food and writing books ( im female btw). but why some girls so catty and competitive about body shape? |
Question: What is my sister's problem? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 12:15 PM PDT I've been nothing but nice to her, I bought my nephew and niece stuff online, I've invited them over and to to places and she flakes out and yesterday we were talking about 3 year olds and I said that my nephew has his own personality because he's more of a handful and others say 3 year olds are better than 2. And she freaked out and blocked me, I didn't even insult him or intend to. I'm really confused. |
Question: My Dad reads his texts whilst driving with us (kids) in the car? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 11:55 AM PDT I dont live with him so I never drive with him but we re on holiday with 1 car with nothing in walking distance We just got into an argument because I asked him to stop and he said because he s such a good driver nothing will happen and he only reads his texts when he s driving straight in an area he knows Anyone any advice for the rest of the holiday? |
Question: What sibling gender order would you have preferred? And age gap? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 11:41 AM PDT What order and gender of your siblings do you think you would've preferred growing up? Example: I would've liked to be the middle child of 3 girls with a two year age gap between each. |
Question: Why should I have to hang out with my friend? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 10:12 AM PDT My friends parents let me stay at their house after my aunt kicked me out. I moved out there last year and ever since I have been refusing to hang with my friend because my friend is worthless in my opinion no my friend is not a bad person I just hate them for no reason |
Question: Mom wants to move out of the country? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 09:17 AM PDT My moms boyfriend lives on London and she's been talking about how she might either get him to move to the USA or making us move over there. I'm going to be a junior this year and I just feel like it would be best to wait until I was done with high school so that she could move to London and I could go to school here. Moving with her to London would be awful because I'm already hiding the fact that I like girls and I feel like if I moved with her I would have to continue hiding my truth and I would never be able to fully express myself. I'm just over having to push my life to the side because of her relationships and what she wants. College is the only hope I have left to get away and be who I am and I fear that I'll be in the same situation if she makes me move. |

Question: Not looking forward to seeing my boyfriend's family!? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 07:52 AM PDT My boyfriend's cousin and wife invited us over this weekend. They have a 5 year old boy who when we saw him last, climbed all over us and it was very uncomfortable for me. The boy was all over me and touching me and I laughed it off and stood up to stop him from grabbing me. The parents told the boy over and over to stop being so physical - and it was the FIRST time I ever met the kid- but he was all over me anyway. I want to spend time with my bf's family, but the little boy is too physical and I don't know him that well and I'm not comfortable being physically handled that way by a child I barely know (especially having my hair played with or the child hanging on my shoulders - it's just physically awkward right now). How can I handle the confrontation when we see them and the kid starts to swing all over me and touch me uncomfortably when he's just being "friendly"? |
Question: Do you ever feel like you don't fit in anywhere? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 06:43 AM PDT I live in Virginia and I just don't think I fit in anywhere. I was raised by northerners from New England, and although I lived here 22 years I just feel like I dont fit in. I never fit in when I moved here, kids would bully me and make fun of me. Well, nothing much has changed. I have a college degree now, still in the same area, and anywhere I go, I just don't fit in. Most people around here are lazy, and when they see someone like me who likes to work well, they start hating and try to either bring me down to their level, or attack me as a threat. I don't drink or smoke or do any of that, but I'm a really cool guy like that. I'm thinking of moving to Massachusetts, but I've never been there to see what it's like. But, I always get a better vibe when I'm in New England. Should I just move? I read up on Virginia online and i'm basically right about my feelings according to what every one else says about this state and the way it's governed. Should I move to Massachusetts ? |
Question: How do you deal with a person who takes advantage of your niceness? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 06:24 AM PDT So my hubby's brother met a girl half a year ago, just proposed to her and that day went to get their papers signed and got married (just the legal papers, not the wedding itself yet). We got invited to a family dinner (in-laws house) where I met her for the first time and tried to make friends, I mean, we're family now. Our other close friends were about to leave. They have a 6 month old and a 7 y.o. We are very close and I was like "If you can please help out momma because she is having a hard time taking care of the baby and she really needs your help" to the 7y.o. girl. Her mom always complains how the 7y.o. gives her a hard time, the little girl loves me and we're close so it was okay for me to say that and I said it in a nice voice, not commanding but asking. My hubby's brother began to brag about his fiance and we were all shook of how nice he's talking about her and I just said "well I'm really happy for you guys, you got a catch(to him) and I hope you love her and respect her. Be a good husband to her."We've known each other for a long time as well, played in one band together for years and have a friendly relationship. All I said was to her advantage. Then she turns to me and says,"well you surely like giving out instructions, why don't you just become a boss, a leader?" with a very not nice tone and look. I don't want to hurt people's feeling when fighting back, but when I'm being nice,I get hurt. How do you deal with these situations cause this is just one example? The girls' mother acts the same way towards my kid. We never make it sound like a command.I literary was in a conversation about the girl helping her mom sometimes and told her that's really nice of her to help and to continue her good work, hugged and kissed goodbye. I know it's not correct to tell other peoples kids how to behave and what to do, this is only one exception because her mother and I are in a relationship where we are both okay with that and that is clearly visible to others. |
Posted: 13 Jul 2018 05:59 AM PDT I moved out literally to get away from her, but she's ma aging to effect me in a bad way from a distance. Is also clingy and pessimistic. Ruins my day, gets in the way, is controlling and toxic. I had to ask to borrow money too, which I regret. Now she's on my case to pay it back right away when my brother always gets free money and doesn't have to. he's the problem child not me. |
Question: Where should I move after being in a serious accident? Basement or room for rent? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 04:53 AM PDT I was on the up and up and some lady T-boned me and ruined my life, lost my car, my business and my phone. Well, i got a car from the settlement, so there's step one, got a phone, now I'm looking to rent a place. One place is a room in a large country house, where I actually lived years ago, and the landlord is nice and friendly. But it's shared kitchen, laundry and bath. And I never really know who's living in the other rooms, I do recall the cops got called out there a few times on the other room mates, but I think the landlord is much more selective now. Another option is a really nice basement apartment, but it has a radon extraction device in the basement, kind of sketchy. However, it has a kitchen, private bath, and 2 nice rooms. But it's almost twice as much. Part of me says get the basement, for privacy and personal kitchen and bath. The other part of me says, save money, get the room for half price, plus I already know the landlord. I think the house is currently for sale though.... So I'm torn!!! Spend the extra money for privacy, or save extra money yet have to deal with certain circumstances!!! Until I can recover, what shall I Do? |
Question: Are all parents like this? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 04:39 AM PDT Mine constantly judge people when in public they are in their 50s. They call everyone gay even if the person isn't (they aren't like that's gay they'll literally say it very rudely and mean it). They call everyone r tard, worthless **** who does not agree with them(again they are NOT sarcastic they really think this way). are all parents like this? And no im not around other parents as im homeschooled so i have no idea how others act |

Question: How do I explain our mothers selfish decisions and addiction to my 7 year old sister? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 03:56 AM PDT My little sister is currently living with our grandparents because our mother is on meth. We have court ordered protection from her. My little sister keeps asking about our mom and she constantly says she misses her. She doesn't really understand why we don't live with her or why we don't see her anymore. Our mother did the same thing throughout my childhood ( leaving for long periods of time doing drugs and I lived with a lot of different families) I know first hand how confusing it is. I don't know how to explain to her in a way she can understand that our mother made her own choice to do drugs and leave and that she might not be coming back again. I dont want her to feel how I felt not understanding and constantly waiting for her to return. Growing up I blamed myself for her leaving because no one explained to me that it was not my fault but rather hers. If anyone can offer some advice on how to approach the subject carefully and in a way she can understand? |
Question: I have a twin sister and our relationship is very very bad! What do you suggest doing? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 01:40 AM PDT I have an identical twin sister, and as young girls, we were always fighting and that is normal for 2 twins. Ok, now I am the younger one, and that made our relatives and friends and even my mom always prefer my sister's favor and always be friends with her more and talk to her more, that made me really upset about myself and I grew up thinking that there was something wrong with me, I never made friends alone, and all that was just because I was the one who is always behind her, she always takes the talk and speak and doesn't let me talk, she does all the things in life and I be the one who is behind her. My mom always preferred her also. When we turned 20, we went abroad to study, and that made our relationship really to worsen and from that time we are always fighting on the smallest things. We barely talk, we really sat apart and she just changed a lot. Now we just came back, she became the one who is weak (well not really), and I really became strong, and I turned out to love so many things and adventures, traveling and stuff, and she hates those, so I want someone to be with me in those and I have no one!!! and I am thinking of moving to another state but I am so afraid that I am alone and that is my first time being totally alone without my sister. What do you think I should do to overcome this? I have to do this but fear is holding me! please help! |
Question: What's wrong with my 7 year old sister? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 12:03 AM PDT Hi, I'm 17 and my sister is 7. I thought we had a good relationship, until I realized she wasn't telling me something. Usually, my sister loves to watch TV in my mom's room. (Because my mom watches in the living room, I hang out in our room, and my brother hangs out in the garage, because we transformered the garage into a second living room.) So she has her own space and can watch netflix and youtube with privacy. But a few weeks ago, she's been hanging out in our room, and she won't go in my mom's room alone. My brother refuses to hang out with her, so it's just me. The only issue is that I prefer to be alone, and I don't have the energy to keep up with her. I miss having my own space. She's with me all day long. She won't tell me why she won't go in there by herself. She'll go in when I go with her, but other than that, she won't. She said she was scared, and I asked her why, and she said she doesn't want to talk about it. I decided to trick her into talking by saying, "Teach me about little kids." Then I asked simple questions like: do little kids like bananas? Do little kids prefer netflix or youtube? Do little kids like the color black? [More details in edit] Then I got serious and asked her, "Why don't little kids like to be alone?" And she said, "Because sometimes they watch scary things and they get too scared." And I asked her if she was one of those kids, and she said maybe. I asked her what was scared of and she told me it was killer clowns. Then we spent two hours on my phone watching happy and funny clowns on youtube. She managed to laugh, and I asked her if she was still scared of them, and she said no. So I told her to go watch TV in my mom's room, but she said no. Not all alone. Then I said what's the real reason? And she said she was lonely. I asked her if it would be better if she took a few toys with her, but she yelled at me and said no. I told her what can I do to make her feel less lonely? Then she ran into my brother's room and said, "I don't want to talk about it." What's wrong with my little sister? She means the world to me, and I hope there's nothing going on with her. I just think this is weird, and out of character for her. I know I can help by spending time with her, but I can't watch tv with her from morning until we sleep. I have important things to do, and my whole life doesn't revolve around my sister. I'm with her pretty much 24/7. The only time I spend time away from her is when I'm at school. I even share a room with her, and my parents work all day so I take care of her as well. Please help. |
Question: Fear for my child's safety!!? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 11:34 PM PDT My ex may get visitation with our 5 year old son but I am terrified of this because he has said in the past if I ever dared to leave him I would never see my son again and he could guarantee that and he has threatened to drown my son before and he knows he could never do anything more to hurt me unless he hurt our son and he has threatened to burn our house down while we are sleeping and a judge is aware of all of this. What should I do? I am so horrified for my son's well being and that his father will hurt him in some way or actually kill him because he knows it would destroy me completely. How can I assure my son's safety against a psychotic violent alcoholic who was abusive to me,my son, and even my elderly disabled father. He is in jail for beating my father and I took it as my chance to escape him and give my son a normal abusive free life but I know when he gets out I and my family are in imminent danger because he found out in court I am no longer with him and will never have another chance of us being together he has threatened to kill me as well and beat my teeth through the back of my skull. I am terrified and don't know what to do he is extremely dangerous. |
Question: Why does my family gossip about my divorce to EVERYONE? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 11:08 PM PDT I just got divorced and my sister and her boyfriend told my Aunt who told my entire extended family. I was really sad about my divorce so I quit my job and got on anti depressants and she told all my family. Then she says " I hear from your mom you're not working". Then she started saying congrats on your divorce. I don't want to see any family and my father keeps telling me to stop crying. Why can't they just let me be miserable for a week then get it together? I have never been so depressed in my life and they are making it worse. For once I hate my life. |
Question: How can I move in with my dad? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 10:47 PM PDT i am a 14 year old female and i am currently living with my mom. She has a boyfriend who lives in Georgia and we live in Texas, she barely knows him and he is a rich lawyer so she wants us to go live with him. The divorce papers say you cannot move out of state with the child but she is ignoring everything written on the papers including me being able to see my dad it is shared custody and she doesnt let me go to his house because she is "scared" for me. This is the first year she has ever pulled this ****, i love my dad more than her and she doesn't even let me go to his house. Ive considered calling the cops but what will they do for me im just a kid. Ive stuck up for myself a few times but she just turns the situation around on me calling herself the victim. The way things are at her house is that she keeps no food in the pantry and we cannot leave from our rooms once we get home from school then at around 9pm we go downstairs for dinner which is something we either make out of nothing or she picks up fast food. Her and my brother have gotten into plenty of fights when he comes downstairs verbally abusing him, my brother turns 18 this week which means he is moving out so im scared of what will happen with just me and her in the house and i dont know what to do if she tries to take me to live with her boyfriend so she can just take his money there is a 25 yr difference between their age... so please somebody help i havent said everything she has done bc im scared to... |
Posted: 12 Jul 2018 10:35 PM PDT I've been trying to help her, make her happy, and she snaps at me a lot, or just sits around all day on her phone. I've had better pleasant conversations with other women that are cashiers, etc, My gf has a negative attitude towards life now and it's getting worse. We have to fight so she bothers to help clean the house, or her room with floor pilss of stuff. She said she doesn't care, She's much older than me too, and I'm starting to have thoughts of moving out even though we live together. Like we're on a budget, and she, eats more than I do, or all the food I bring home in one day. I've actually lost 10 lbs in 1 week while shes getting a huge belly like jabba. |

Question: Why won’t my parents buy me anything? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 09:43 PM PDT My parents won't buy me anything and they buy my older sister whatever she wants. Yesterday, my sister asked for the new a new phone case (a really expensive one too!) and my mom went out and bought it for her. Then I came in and asked for these 2 koala onesies for me and my friend. (Keep in mind phone case= 50-60 dollars and the 2 onesies= 20 dollars) They start yelling at me and then push me out of they're room! I had been cleaning the house and being nice to them so I'm not sure what I did wrong. |
Question: Is it normal for a 16 year old to dress like this? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 08:45 PM PDT This girl has been in school with me since 5th grade. She always wore the same clothes everyday and does not have friends. Her shirts are 4-5 years old at the minimum. They do not fit her. One of her regular t-shirts turned into a very cropped top over the years. They're often dirty with holes in them. People look at her weird because she clearly doesn't shower too. Her shoes are untied and fallen apart. This schoolmate keeps wearing outgrown clothes and I wonder, is this "normal"? We just finished 10th grade, so far nothing has changed. |
Question: How do I approach my autistic 12 year old about getting new clothes? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 08:37 PM PDT My daughter's clothes are getting too tight, irritating and small. She needs new clothes— however, I want to know the best way to approach this. Children's stores we used to shop at no longer offer her current size. She will need age-appropriate clothes from the women's section. Her growth spurts are starting. Since she is on the autism spectrum, she is sensitive to changes. There is nothing we can do about her growing, but it still means that she needs new clothes. These clothes tend to be a different style from the kids' clothing that she's used to wearing. The texture may feel a bit different too. |
Question: Mom brainwashed me and told a lot of lies about who’s my dad ? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 08:37 PM PDT I'm 17 and my father hit me up on Facebook about a year ago and we've talked ever since. He told me he story and he told me my mom went around saying he was a deadbeat cause he didn't help my mom during the pregnancy. He was in New York when my mom was pregnant and he told me he never knew cause she never told him. 1 of his friends called and told him that he got my mom pregnant about 5 days before I was born. He came to Nc to see me and I was already like a week out the hospital and he told me he didn't sign the birth certificate cause when he came down here my mom filled it out and didn't mention his name. He came twice to see me and he didn't have a job cause he was really young and it was 2001 he was just graduating high school and he couldn't buy my grandma baby powder so my grandma got mad and told my mom to not let him be around me. And ever since my mom didn't let him see me. But she met a man who she fell in love with and had him sign papers as my real dad. I don't like him cause he's never really been a real father to me other then him being mad at me over stupid things. My mom and a kid by my stepdad and he treats him way better then he treats me. I have another brothers And sisters would love to meet with my real dad and spend time with him but my grandma or mom won't let me. They don't know I know the truth but I know what should I do? I'm starting not to like my mom due to her lying about who's my dad... |
Question: Does this make me a b@stard? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 08:06 PM PDT My father married my mother 3 months after I was born. So they weren't married when they had me. |
Question: Parents don't want me to travel. Should I feel guilty? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 08:01 PM PDT I just graduated college in May and I'm 21 years old. I recently told my parents that I want to travel to South Korea in October. They didn't react too well to that and got angry. They are making me feel guilty and like me wanting to travel is a stupid idea. Today I bought the plane ticket and when they found out they seemed to want to avoid the topic. Now they are having me second guess my decision to travel. I know if I don't travel I will have regrets though. What should I do? |

Question: How can i not be a selfish a$$ hole? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 06:55 PM PDT so ill accidentally argue with my mom like i ll call her out on her being a hypocrite sometimes. like an argument we had today was that i asked if we could go to the track tommorow . a simple yes or no question that turns into a whole big project. i hate that i can t just keep my fat mouth shut but like ive been acting like a jerk to everyone and i hate it its like my mind wants to be a happy nice person but i just act out like a *****. and when i a massive jerk my mom will call me a selfish a55hole and compare me to my annoying aunts. and i hate being a jerk because shes actually nice when im not a jerk its just hard to keep my mouth shut when something isnt fair you know? i just really hate myself |
Question: Why am I like this toward my parents? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 06:52 PM PDT Since a little tiny child I have always been very rude, smart mouth and disrespectful toward my parents and man I used to get beat really bad for my attitude but still have a attitude toward them. I can say mean things and not feel sorry till this day and yes I live with them and I'm fricking 21 yrs old and I feel very ashamed of myself. I know I'm too old to be like this. Everyone around me respects and loves their parents but I don't really have those strong feelings toward them like most. Growing up my parents always fist fought, were alcoholics and drug addicts but they have officially turned their life around. I wasn't really hugged or coddled, my whole life it's been tough love. My dad is a bit of a jokester so since forever he has made little comments and pot shots that actually hurt my feelings and when I tell him it's always a "that's who I am idk what to tell you" I have to let it go because he's my dad. My mom on the other hand will sometimes act like a brat on purpose and if I react my dad will jump in and turn things into a world wind. I'm not a perfect little angel either. Little things have always bothered me but the Bible says to Honor mother and father and my dad can not wait to hit me with that, but I pray and it's so hard. Idk why I can't respect them like I should. When I do respect them it's almost like a handout and they start acting kinda entitled, which they are!! please help me and tell me how to over come this. I want to be normal toward my parents. |
Question: Is it okay to favor my 5 year old daughter over my 14 year old daughter? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 06:50 PM PDT The 5 year old is easier to get along with and academically gifted in math. People compliment how funny, popular, smart and beautiful she is. I'm so sick of my 14 year old who cries over the "mean girls" ALL DAY. I have no connection or interest in her, to be honest. I find myself with my 5 year old way more often. Even more than back when my oldest was her age. I find myself protecting her a lot more too. With my oldest, it does not come naturally. My youngest daughter "helps" me by telling me things that my 14 year old does. So far, they are true and things she shouldn't be doing. |
Question: How do I get my mother to let me visit my Dad? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 06:35 PM PDT She says my Dad does not love me cause he is an alcoholic and she or my soon to be step-father even withheld gifts he sent for me last year at Christmas and didn't give them to me. I am mad at them. I am 16 and haven't seen my Dad since I was 9 except once. His parents (mother and step-father) have offered to supervise my visits with him but my mother keeps saying no and that his family doesn't want a relationship with us. She also says he doesn't love me but doesn't love anyone cause he drinks. She says his parents might love me but don't want a relationship with our family (which means me). Yet they reach out and seem nice but my mother always sees the negative in it. I am so sad about this. It is the wound that won't go away. I am mad at her and my step-father for being so hateful. My Mom's brother is an alcoholic and she has no problem with us seeing him at holidays or cousins events. She says this is cause he had a hard life and not our father but that seems like a cop out. For some reason I feel guilty about all this. I feel I have let my Dad and his family down. I feel they must consider me disloyal as my mother says our grandparents thought our family was disloyal to leave him (our father) but I was only 9 and had no say. I am 16 and would really love to have extended family on my Dad's side other then just Christmas cards from them. I have only seen them once in the last 2 years. How do I get my mother to let me visit my Dad and his family? I should add my father is not violent or dangerous, just a grouch when drunk. |
Question: Was my aunt in the wrong to sleep with my Dad (her ex-sister-in-law)? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 06:28 PM PDT They have been having sex I assume as they spend the night together in a hotel. I found condoms in the car. My Dad is divorced and my aunt as well so they are not having affairs but it is my Mom, Dad's ex-wife's, sister he is doing this with and her ex-husband is now living with her 1st ex-husband which is also creepy (not boyfriends or anything). I am 16 so not a little kid but I find it all so creepy and weird. My Mom is an alcoholic but I see her family when my ex-step-father, has me for the day (he is now dating my Moms' cousin but that doesn't seem as creepy). I have not seen my mother in 2 years so no idea what her feelings are about all this staying in the family. So was this wrong and why do I feel so uncomfortable by it all? It's not a redneck joke or anything, this is happening in my family. I should add my Dad and aunt (Mom's sister) went camping with me last weekend and they snuggled but did not have sex with me there. |
Question: Is it bad for a guy to be too aggressive? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 05:01 PM PDT My crush really likes me I like him too but he's too aggressive and never lets me breathe. Will now we live next to each other and I see him almost every day next to my house.. I just got off of work and he was standing right by my house with his friends I felt so embarrassed because I really didn't feel lke seeing him.. whenever I turn around he's there suffercating me.. I like him and I am happy that he wants me but I feel like I have no space never.. overal I just wanted to know is this bad or normal? |
Question: Can family members be jealous of their own daughter? What do I do? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 04:50 PM PDT Even parents, can they be jealous of their own son or daughter? I think my family members are possibly jealous of me. My sister is shorter than me by 5 inches and im the younger sibling and a girl. I also look more attractive than her. she tries to sabotage everything I do. She never dated anyone and she's almost 30 and she was extremely jealous when I had a bf in highschool, she kept calling me names and tried to make me feel bad when I had more friends or new friends. She taunts me all the time and I think he is jealous of me simply because i'm taller, look better than her (I'm not bragging) and she never dated anyone. I'm not bragging in anyway but stating facts. She also is very abusive towards my parents, not just me. She has shown she DOES NOT want me to be successful. She has never complimented me or celebrated my success. My mom always tries to downplay and overlook every good thing I do, any accomplishment or good thing I've ever had, she would shrug it off as 'you just got lucky' that only happened because of some 'easy circumstance'. They always criticize me and compare themselves with me. When I have a plan to succeed in life, they tell me to lower my standards or 'play it safe' and do nothing or 'just get a regular job just to get a job' but then they compare me with others and criticize me for not doing the things they want. How do I deal with these types of people? It's very similar to Cinderella and her step mom and sisters. My sister gets enabled by my mom based off their actions its seeming to me, that they don't support my success or even want me to succeed and I'm taller than my mom, I'm almost as tall as my dad. Steve, I agree that moms shouldn't be jealous of their daughter but she acts jealous and don't trivialize what I described, this isn't just sibling rivalry, she's not your typical sibling. People say parents can be jealous of their daughters. |

Question: My MIL I had to tell her off. Should we cut all ties w her?? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 04:17 PM PDT So my husband is 17 yrs older than me. I'm 23. 7wks pregnant. My MIL thinks she is gonna run me bc she runs her other three DIL and they are in their 30s. For instance she showed up at my Dr. Appt stating she was gonna talk to my Dr. About a few thungs. I said no ***** you are not. You are not my mother and my mother would never be so intrusive so you need to fall back. So she says well that baby is my son's child I said yes my husband and mine. Meaning I fucq'd ya son not you. So you are not in this equation. I am the HBIC in this scenario. You run absolutely nothing.the Dr. Office told her she had to leave. Later she picked up my husband's nephew from school and didn't tell his parents so they were calling everywhere when he didn't come home. And she had him the whole time. My BIL AND SIL have told her she has lost all privileges to their children and must be supervised if they want to see them. We are wondering if we should cut ties too, wdyt??? |

Question: Should I have to give money to my mother? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 03:02 PM PDT I am 16 and a junior in high school I recently just got my first job and am saving half of all my checks for college leaving me with the rest for whatever. She's told me that I have to start buying my own toiletries and clothing which I thought was pretty fair but now she wants me to give her 20 every other week for house supplies. I still have other expenses to worry about such as toiletries, fees for other activities and lunch. Plus I'd just like to have my own cash and not have to depend on her. She feels like she's entitled to this. Is she wrong? |
Question: How to deal with a toxic family? Posted: 12 Jul 2018 02:47 PM PDT My family members are condescending, emotionally abusive and manipulative. They are selfish and treat each other in a horrible way. All of them, including relatives. Is this normal? Whenever I stand up for myself, I get yelled at. They're disgusting people and I hate them. I consider them as toxic and dysfunctional. |
