My best friend has a serious medical condition ... CVID... which does not allow her to commit to long-term plans. Every few months she ends up in hospital and doesn t know how long she will stay. Her condition is worsening over time. She often travels abroad for treatment but there is no cure available. My dream would be to have her fulfill a role in my wedding but at the same time I know it would be hard for her to commit and will be added stress for her on the day if she would not be able to make it. I don t want to feel left out in any way but at the same time I don t know what to do... A maid of honor or bridesmaid role is a big commitment and the witness role will need to be established from beforehand. Hard to have someone as backup. Please help.
