Question: Why does it seem like people always exclude me? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 04:58 PM PDT I ve noticed ever since I hit my 20s (which are turning out to be the worst decade of my life so far, this being one of the reasons why), people my age seem to exclude me from everything and not want to pursue a friendship or relationship with me. I had on and off relationships in university, but since I started my first job afterward, I ve been left to the side. My office was filled to the brim with people my own age, yet they d all form friendships with each other and treat me as though I was something to be avoided or tolerated. I could see this in their body language (fake smiles, limp handshakes, etc). At my table in the break room, I d see everyone heading out to eat as a treat, leaving me by myself. I don t know what to do anymore. It seems like no matter how I act, what I say or what I do, it s never the right thing. I m tired of acting like there s something wrong with me and everyone else is perfect. The thing is (and this could be part of the problem), I ve never been a huge socializer, even in childhood, but even then I had friends, parties, events, etc. I m a pretty quiet, private, reserved person to begin with, could I be coming off as cold and stuffy? What should I do? Just wanted to add: I'm a bit on the quieter, introverted side, but I still make a point of meeting people, talking to them, maintaining good conversations, but it never seems to go beyond that for me. |
Question: I post pictures of me with my friends but they don't reciprocate? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 04:47 PM PDT BTW I don't need people telling me I am immature and vain, I am just asking if anybody is in the same situation so I don't feel so alone. Anytime I am out with friends I will post pictures of us together because I like showing my colleagues and classmates what I am up to during the summer. I especially like posting the photos with my friends because I am proud of them and thankful for their presence in my life so I want to show them off. Lately though, none of them have posted the photos of us on their social media. None of them. Not a single friend, and I have been hanging out with ALL OF THEM since summer started so we have photos together. Is it that they simply don't feel like posting it, or is it something with me? |
Question: What does it mean when a guy calls you boss lady? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 04:16 PM PDT He usually calls me by my first name until now, he called me by this nickname and smiles that whole time at me. Even told me that he's coming together and talks about how he's doing lately to me which he never does. |
Question: Does sex ruin friendships? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 04:12 PM PDT I told this guy I really like him as a friend and that I didn't want to ruin our friendship with sex. And this is what he said but people always say sex ruins friendships. Me:Well, I really like you as a friend that's why I bought you a present for your birthday and I don't want sex to ruin it. Him:Sex will only ruin it if you want something more that I'm not willing to give. Keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed. That's what I do |
Question: When paying a bill with friends how should we split the bill? Example at bottom? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 03:18 PM PDT I k basic math sometimes I use a calculator. When out with friends if we share the bill we try to split the bill exactly evenly. For example the bill is 86.45 so if you split it amount 3 people it is 29 so one friend decides to put down 29 dollars othe 30 and the third one puts down 30 is thistoo much is there an easier way to do it |
Question: I hurt my friends feelings. What do I do? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 02:22 PM PDT So me, friend A, B, and C planned on going somewhere. Me, friend A and B were more comfortable going at 5, but friend C said that she wanted to go at 4. We argued about it in a group chat and she said she needed to be home early. The drive was twenty minutes and we were going to be there for one hour, so we would be back before 7. She still wanted to go at 4. Friend A and B got pissed but friend C still didn't give up. I sent her messages as well, but since she was the group admin she decided to remove everyone from the group. I proceeded to call her and angrily ask her why she would remove everyone and why should refused tongo at five, but she started crying and saying that everyone was against her and she wasn't in the mood to go. It was a 3 against 1 in the chat and maybe we could have just went at 4. I feel terrible. I don't know. Now she refuses to come and she said that she might feel better in a couple of weeks or a month? I'm kind of worried. A month? This was a stupid reason to argue and me and friend C almost never argue or fight... |

Question: Should i call the police on myself or was this fine? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 12:37 PM PDT I went clubbing last night and i was dancing with this super hot girl. She was wearing this shirt that was like half a shirt and it showed her belly button. My hand randomly went up her shirt a little bit and i could feel the bottom of her boobs and she wasn't wearing a bra. She didn't slap me or anything but idk if i committed a crime or whatever. I didn't touch her nipples. When the club closed she kissed me on the cheek and told me her name. HELP! |
Posted: 14 Jul 2018 12:29 PM PDT it is so draining listening to her. I cannot move my seat because the class is full. She talks over everyone whenever we do group work. She talks about herself all the time. She gossips about everyone. She complains about other classmates. I have never had such a negative person to deal with. And, then she asked me if I was going to enroll in her remaining nursing courses so we can complete them together. After Aug 8th when this class ends, I need a vacation. She sucks the life out of everyone. I want to know where she works so I never have to work with her! End of rant. |
Question: How to become popular in year 11? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 12:26 PM PDT I don't mean popular as in the stereotypical blonde mean girl but I've noticed that there are three girls in my year group who are just effortlessly popular and I want to sort of move towards them even though we haven't been associated together in the past. I've always been the sort of nerdy teacher's pet kind of student but I want to change that. I want to show that I'm good at everything like they are. Their main characteristics are smart (they get top grades in every test) sporty (they're in the top teams for every sport) pretty (i wear glasses so I'm not that attractive and don't stand out very much) and kind (they're the type of people who are really nice, like REALLY nice and you just can't be mean to them cuz they're lovely people) also confident (they all have good senses of humour and can joke around with teachers without being rude or sucking up. They're pretty much the elite group an I want to move to them. I'm not blonde I'm only pretty with glasses off, I'm not good at sport and I'm a bit shy. Please help I want to reinvent myself for year 11 |
Question: How do I find someone to go with me for a colonoscopy? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 10:11 AM PDT I had someone but she changed her mind and also changed her mind about being my friend, have no idea why, since i just saw her yesterday and there didnt seem to be any problems, she just left a note under my door, tried to call her but she wont answer her phone, figures, she shouldve told me that over the phone or in person, I dont have a lot of friends to begin with, i might have aspergers but have never been diagnosed. i asked a home health aid that was in my building about if i could get an aide to do that one time but they dont do one time stuff. I have another friend but she aint available. Im not afraid to go by myself, its just they wont do it. bad enough i dont have hardly any friends which is another story but when stuff like this happens what do you do, do you just hire people on craiglist or what? i was doing the home testing but my last one came out positive which is why i had to have this done. its not till aug. should i go to the rent a friend website or what? any suggestions? I cant force people to go with me and wondered if i should just cancel the whole thing and then whatever happens happens. how do i get this done if i dont have anyone to go with me? I wouldve gone with someone else if they needed the help, so im not sure why i cant find someone to go with me, Ive asked neighbors but even they might not be available later on since they could have their own appts, I have one friend thats busy with her own parents and cant do it. so how? |
Question: Is his joke appropriate? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 10:05 AM PDT My platonic guy friend said I was cheating on him because I spend time with other friends studying. Is this joke appropriate?? |
Question: Why are these girls complaining about what I did? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 07:34 AM PDT I am the only girl in one of my high schools classes (AP Math). It is a very tough class and all the guys in the class offered to help me study and do the problems? I often took them up on the offer. They were VERY HELPFUL. I thought it was appropriate to somehow tell them thank you. I made cookies and took the cookies and Cokes to class and gave them to the guys. I also gave each guy a kiss and said thank you for your help. Much to my surprise some of the girls at school complained about what I did with their boyfriends. Do you think I did something wrong? None of the guys complained? If the guys are OK with it and I am OK with it, what is the problem? If the girls continue to complain, I think I will give the guys something they will enjoy more than a kiss. Gus, any suggestions on what that might me. |

Question: Should I finish reading her text? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 05:47 AM PDT I was telling a "friend" about this situation I had with a girl she knows I said I'd go into full detail the goose and bad she responded by saying I could tell her anything but I stopped reading at that sentence cause it's hard for me. There's a lot of emotions involved for me. |
Question: Tough to deal with parents.? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 05:34 AM PDT So i have been growing up with not so great parents imo, basically surrounded by negativity.. Anger, manipulation, forcing me and basically fighting over the smallest things. Ive been dealing with that all my life, i have always been respectful and polite to them not denying their orders trying to avoid any problem possible (im the quiet one in the family). But they did realize when i grew older i spend much lesser time with them trying to avoid them and hang out with my friends more. When i dont do the stuff they want me to do they always compare me to my cousins saying that they are far better than you and i really hate that about my parents because they do that alot and my cousins are alot different and have completely different motivations. I recently finished my college semester and my summer holidays started and have alot of plans with friends and myself working to a job i enjoy which is drawng art, but they bought a ticket to a trip and i told them multiple times that i really dont really want to travel. They kept denying saying that i will have a fun time, i really dont enjoy hanging out with my parents anymore. At the moment they are still trying to force me to travel with them. Please be honest and tell me if i am doing something wrong or stupid. There is no denying that i have alot to learn and want to know your opinion. |
Question: Why Does My Friend Call Me Dumb All the Time? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 03:29 AM PDT I'm 16 and I have a so-called friend who's extremely irritating. Sometimes when I make mistakes she tells me that it's because I'm stupid. When I didn't know something she asked my friend, "Why is [my name] so stupid?" It's really taking a toll on me... now I believe that there may be something wrong with the way my brain works and I shouldn't try anymore because I was just born stupid and it's not going to change..... What's ironic is that my friend doesn't try in school at all and is extremely lazy but has the audacity to call others dumb and thinks she's very intelligent. Why is she doing this? |
Question: What do you think my friend means by this? Posted: 14 Jul 2018 02:21 AM PDT I overheard my friend say this about me: "He's stuck with me for life. He knows his place haha". |
Question: Why she always complaining about me? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 11:22 PM PDT she always ask me if I am free. I meet her sometimes...She always ask me...you seem to have gained weight, you too much makeup on,what kind of shoes are you wearing(she check under the table),what time do you take a bath everyday, your arm is too big(she is thicker than me) and so on. I can t stand it. I always annoyed with her. I don t understand why she always complaining about me... |
Question: Money in the way-- Is she a true friend? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 10:39 PM PDT Last year, my good friend told me she realized she forgot to pay a speeding ticket and, with penalties, it amounted to $700. She came to me crying, telling me she didn't know how she was going to pay for it. I gave her the $700, and she was grateful. This year, I've had my own struggles and am currently on an unpaid leave from work. I'm so low on money that I've even stopped taking some medication because of the high cost I can't afford. Her response to things like this is that she's sorry I'm going through this but has never offered to give me a dime. In the same sentence, she tell me about her day of shopping for new makeup or about a wine tasting trip she's planning, suggesting she's not currently having financial struggles. I KNOW money can ruin relationships and we should never expect money back if we give it to someone. However, I can't help feel disappointed and want to distance myself right now because I'm hurt that she doesn't seem to care about me like I did for her in her time of need. Am I wrong to feel this way? |
Question: Feeling like I have no friends? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 10:34 PM PDT In reality, I know that I do, but I have this intrusive thought that I don t, and it makes me feel really lonely. I ll even feel lonely and depressed when I m with my friends. Has anyone gone through this and tell me how they got better? |
Posted: 13 Jul 2018 09:53 PM PDT So I have about lost all hope in society as there is people who agrees that this friend of mine is right in mentally abusing people. Andy is a controlling and manipulative and mentally abusive guy. I heard recently he got onto one of my other friends named henry about how henry acted. Henry recently took a trip with his two friends of his to dallas. Andy knows these two friends of his. Henry wanted to go film some elevators but his two friends didn't want to. His two friends bobby and alex didn't let him go film elevators or eat at any place he wanted to. Henry then politely told alex and bobby that he is gonna go off doing filming and then meet with them back later. When he met back with them he found out that alex got so upset and called andy and andy bought him a plane ticket back to california. Andy then called henry and started yelling calling him self centered and selfish. Henry told me so I called andy and confronted him and said that he needs to stop bullying people. Andy then attacked me and said well your just as selfish as he is because you did this back in 2016 with a few of your former friends who got so tired of you and ditched you. I told other people and they agreed with andy. Why are they agreeing with andy ? How is it selfish if me or henry wanted to go film elevators ??? |
Question: What would be more likely bothering someone? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 09:18 PM PDT a) using profanity with them b) continuing to have a conversation with them when they were asked to be left alone several times c) both A and B d) none of the above When you answer, can you give me an explanation? |
Question: Social anxiety! What should i do about this particular situation? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 08:47 PM PDT So i have this very close friend that i've been friends with for almost five years. About three years ago, I developed social anxiety and it began to ruin my social life. Recently, we've gotten back in contact and she wants to start coming over and hanging out sometime. Every time she asks if she can come over I make up an excuse as to why she shouldn't. Any time she facetimes me, I ignore her because I get too anxious to talk. She asked to come over yesterday and I ignored her message. I can't just keep saying no and making up excuses. I don't want to humiliate myself in front of her. My anxiety will probably get too bad and i'll start stuttering or mumbling and then she'll think i'm crazy. I feel really bad about ignoring her, idk what to do. I don't think our friendship will last much longer if i keep this up. :( |
Question: Should I unfriend her ? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 08:43 PM PDT This girl I've been "friend's" with since freshmen year high school I'm a senior now is fake asf I've gave her so many chances to prove her loyalty to me she talks about me behind my back and laugh when others talk about me I know this because people told me also someone made a post about me and she commented on it laughing I'm such a forgiving person and I don't want to be mean and I friend her she just inboxed me trying to hang out Should I unfriend her or just ignore her ? I don't think I have the guts to tell her she's fake |
Question: Does my bff like me or are we just close bffs? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 08:14 PM PDT If your bff gets wet and rubs your vagina over your underwear to make you orgasm is it gay? She said she feels very comfortable with me and we are very very close but we still like guys. She says she likes me but she likes guys and wants to get married and have kids. So, im confused because are we just super close? Because she doesn't do this with any other females |
Question: What is her friend trying to do? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 07:39 PM PDT A girl in my class started laughing loudly at my jokes and talking to me. She started having me repeat stuff to her, ask questions or responds to stuff I say. She teases me by scaring me. Her friend has me repeat stuff to the girl and talk to her. Well her friend asked me to chase the girl down the hall. Also the girl's friend has me talk to her and repeat stuff to her. |
Question: Help I’m upset with my friend and I don’t know whether or not to confront her about it!!? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 07:34 PM PDT A friend and I both work at the same restaurant as waitresses, and this was my first Friday night off in over a month. I was super excited, but my friend texted me a few hours before her shift started to tell me that she had lice and couldn't come into work, so could I take her shift? I said I would and worked the shift. However after I got out, I was on Snapchat and saw while she did have lice earlier in the day, she later went out that night with another friend while I was in the middle of the shift! I don't know whether or not I have a right to be angry with her, but the fact that she went out even after she had lice rubs me the wrong way. Should I talk to her about it? |

Question: Hard time during deployment - advice needed? Posted: 13 Jul 2018 06:04 PM PDT I'm really in need of some input from fellow military-connected individuals right now (that meaning military spouses, friends of military members, or even current/former military members their selves). My best friend recently deployed. We haven't been able to have contact since then. I have missed him horribly. I've been having some pretty hard times here lately and it's been horrible not having him around. He was ALWAYS the one there for me - whether it was to make me smile again when I was upset, talk me through a rough patch, give me some advice (even if it seemed harsh), or reassure me that I mattered. I really don't know when we will be able to finally talk to one another. What advice would you give me? How can I manage missing him and not being able to share things with him or get the much needed advice from him that I'm so used to having? This is our first deployment and I'm sure it's been hard on him too. I hate that I can't even be more supportive of him since we don't currently have contact. I'm sorry if this isn't really "appropriate" to post here. I don't exactly have any close military connections in person that I can reach out to. I appreciate any understanding, helpful answers I receive. Any help through this would be wonderful. |
