Question: Will a tux place measure me if not buying from them? Posted: 06 Mar 2017 10:06 PM PST Brother is getting married in a few months and I need a tux - he has a place he is getting them all from, I just need to get measured, would rather not drive all the way up for that. If I go to a local place can I get them to do the measurements even if not buying from them? Sorry if it s a dumb/silly question not much experience with this

Question: Should i get ENGAGED AT 19? :O? Posted: 06 Mar 2017 03:02 PM PST Hello, recently my boyfriend of 2 years said that he wants to get engaged with me in the summer. My first reaction was joy but then i thought it through.I am 19 and he is 24.I love him and i want to marry him one day.I also want to have kids young and so does he but i feel that my parents and friends are going to be SO JUDGEMENTAL because im young. My parents dont really approve of him because i dropped out of college for him (we were long distance for a year and not im retaking exams to study at another college in my hometown).I want to announce that i am engaged and everyone to be happy about it not make me feel bad about it...
Question: I'm not sure what to get my future wife as a wedding present. Any suggestions? Posted: 06 Mar 2017 01:56 PM PST My wedding day is rolling up pretty soon, but I have yet to get anything for my bride. I know she got me a little something - not sure what - but I know she spent around $100 and created something personal for me. I'd like to spend close to or over $100 as well. I'm usually pretty thoughtful when it comes to gifts, but at this point, I'm all out of ideas. I don't mind going stereotypical (whatever that means), but the more personal, the better. If you're married, what did your spouse get you? If you aren't married, guys - what would you get for your bride? Or ladies - what do you think you would like to receive from your groom?
Question: Should I be going to a wedding without my fiancée? Posted: 06 Mar 2017 01:30 PM PST I have been invited to my childhood friend s wedding. His family and my family are very close, my sister and his sister are friends and his mother and mine are best friends. He had sent the save the dates to my mums house addressed to my mum, sister and I but no sign of any +1s. I have been with my fiancée for 3 years, are living together and getting married next year (my childhood friend, his fiancée aka soon to be wife and two kids are getting invited to ours). My mother spoke to my fiancée about the wedding how we are all getting there with my fiancée responding that she doesn t think she is invited . My mother said wait for the formal invites but it may just be married couples who are invited. I am very hurt by this and don t want to go to a wedding without my fiancée but if I don t go, it will cause a family argument probably. I ve spoke to my fiancée and she believes you always bring someone s +1 to a wedding and is especially rude not to invite an engaged couple living together. She think this was also cause an argument between me and my mother if I don t go but my fiancée has said if you re choosing sides then choose the one that isn t making you choose. Help?!?!
Question: What are the "rules" for being a female groomsman/male bridesman? Posted: 06 Mar 2017 08:46 AM PST OK, let's use a wedding I recently attended as an example. The groom had his female cousin stand on his side. I'm curious to know how it works. Does she go with the bride/bridesmaids to pick her dress or does the groom do that? Or is the groom not involved in dressing her? Where does she get changed, with male groomsmen, with bridesmaids, or on her own? Does she attend the bachelorette party? Same thing if a bride has men on her side, what do they do? *Male bridesmaid, not male bridesman. I guess bridesman could be an acceptable term?
Question: Oklahoma marriage laws? Posted: 05 Mar 2017 09:48 PM PST I'm from Oklahoma, and we've planned to get married on may 19. We don't want a wedding, just a courthouse type of thing. I've been looking into it, and I've found that the license validity is 10 days. What would be the next step to take after that?
Question: !!! Appropriate for a black-tie optional wedding? It's next week I need answers!!!? Posted: 05 Mar 2017 01:51 AM PST Okay so my cousin is getting married in a week and I've never been to a black tie optional wedding before - not really many weddings at all but that's not the point (I'm only 20 give it time). I asked the bride if the dress was appropriate or not and if she thought it had too much white (the colors are black, white and red I don't have a lot of options here). Her response was "That is fine no worries" but I've never really talked to her much and I don't know if she's just being nice. I mean I would hope she would tell me but still. The photo includes the dress as well as essentially what I'd wear with it.
Question: I'm having second thoughts and it's because of my future mother in law :-/? Posted: 02 Mar 2017 08:58 AM PST I am getting married in less than a month and I am having second thoughts. Firstly, my fiancé and I and his mother are living in a two apartment building situation. She lives in one apartment and we live in the other one(they are side by side). She has done tremendous things for us and has been helping out a lot since our apartment is not furnished. While I know she's trying to help, she's been doing some things that I find really offensive and highly annoying. Every week on a particular day she could sit us down and lecture us about various things. And every week it's the same thing she tells us over and over. Recently she's made some comments about how dusty our apartment is and what needs to be cleaned. She has also told us how she wants our furniture to be arranged and how she wants us to dress, in particular....me. She often makes comments about me changing my look to one that is socially acceptable (modern and not old fashioned) and changes to my hairstyle. I also mentioned in her presence that my fiancé and I need to cut back on meat to save more to which she replied *No, my son needs his beef*. Every week is the same routine with stuff she says and the lectures and I'm getting annoyed. I've discussed it with my fiancé but he is now understanding and seeing things from my perspective bit by bit, but I'm afraid he's a mommas boy who will always let his mother rule him and now I am having second thoughts about marrying him. ( we are both in our 20's)

Question: Where is a good place for a bachelorette party in the north east? Posted: 01 Mar 2017 05:35 PM PST Looking for an option that is affordable and fun for a bachelorette party! Drive-able weekend getaway from westchester county. Westchester County is in New York.
Question: I was invited to my cousin wedding? Posted: 01 Mar 2017 04:43 PM PST But I'd rather not go. I have social anxiety. I absolutely hate crowded places. Would it be rude not to go.
Question: Is it ok for me NOT to wont his children at our wedding? Posted: 01 Mar 2017 03:28 PM PST Please don't judge me, just try to see MY side. Harold and I were together before he mistakenly marriage another. She used pregnancy to keep him trapped. He decided enough was enough and they are divorcing. He has told his soon to be ex that he was marrying me. She said that was what he deserves and her children should have some sort of role in MY ceremony. I don't have children and honestly don't wont them there. This is my first wedding and the bride should have 'her day' her way! And before you start talking long-term, these kids live across the states, they would only visit during the summers and I work LONG hours during the summers so they wouldn't be too burdensome. The problem is his soon to be ex has posted on Facebook over and over nasty things about me not being decent to her children. I don't KNOW her children and have made no bones about the fact that I will not be going out of my way for them. She insists SHE is their Mother, so let her be. So, to make this simple please state YES OR NO: Is it ok for me to NOT want his children at my wedding? My soon to be husband wants ME happy. He is on board with the children not coming. They will have his full attention this summer, so he feels it's ok for them to sit this one out. This is ONE DAY of our life. He has his children 3 WEEKS during the summer, it's not like he is a dead-beat Dad! He agrees that this is our day to focus on us. Due to so much backlash, I feel you should know that his children live across the U.S...He pays 'her' well over two thousand dollars a month for Child (mother!) support, he carries and pays all of their medical expenses. Without a court order, he adds in VOLUNTARILY an extra five hundred dollars to cover any extra curricular activities they choose to participate in. I do NOT mistreat them, have never even raised my voice to them. I choose to work long hours to avoid any connection. Thank you the very few people who actually offered support without calling me ugly names and downgrading my character. The rest of you should try to understand that these are not MY children! She has made it impeccably clear that I am not to be included in their lives, thus it's easy for me to oblige. Thank you for your time.
Posted: 01 Mar 2017 06:11 AM PST I proposed her in Sept 2016 it was accepted by her, but Right after 2 month she told me that her parents fixed her marriage with someone else. She also put a condition that I let her get married with another man, and after some time she will leave him, come to me and we will get married. I totally disagreed on that and let her go.(it was November 29, 2016) On Jan 7, 2017 she met me to tell that her father has rejected the boy with whom he has fixed the marriage due to the excess demand of dowry and he is not the right guy etc. Ours is a intercast marriage (Hindu Muslim). I cant stop thinking about her, sometimes i feel that i am in deep depression. I keep asking myself questions about our relationship. I could not sleep till i talk to her. I really cant live without her. But more importantly, I need to take a decision today. so that i can plan for better future. I asked her to marry ASAP. She replied "Bahut ajldi karenge" but sometimes i am confused with her behavior wen it comes to do it now time. Guys ! pls help me what to do ? How to deal with this situation. How do I know that she also wanted to marry me.? I am 43 yr man and my girl friend is 26 belongs to hindu family, we have been in relation for one year. But I noticed she is running away from marriage.?
Posted: 28 Feb 2017 08:32 PM PST So I had a small wedding of about 50 people. I chose to keep a tight budget so I bought dresses for my bridesmaids at a discount place. My maid of honor is my best friend. She was on a trip so she suggested to go to the same place and pick out the outfit I suggested for her. As the wedding drew near, I asked her if she got the dress. She said yes and I figured things are in place. I sent her a picture of what I liked her to wear and even reserved a size for her. On my wedding day, she showed up on a completely different gown. I was speechless and avoided her as much as I can. The color was completely off and she's a mismatch among all of us. I tried to play it cool but this really bothers me. I know it's already done but what should I tell her that won't damage our friendship? Should I even confront her?

| Question: Fiancé seems irritated.? Posted: 27 Feb 2017 08:03 AM PST Ok me and my fiancé are planning our wedding well mostly me and my mom and sister. He has been doing good thru the whole thing. But I asked him to get all of his people he wanted to come on a list and he got snippy with me...I have no idea why he did that...we need to send these out because our wedding is coming up in a few months. | Posted: 27 Feb 2017 12:22 AM PST I m turned off by traditional gowns and want something sexy but vintage. Came across a couple lace slip gowns that cover my breast but it is more or less see through.its very goddess looking, and my nipples are small and have opal piercings on them. No one besides my fiance has seen them, and I paid a lot for those so I d like for others to admire. And obviously ny husband has not seen the dress. It s a small gathering. In the flordia keys and we are basically eloping with his frat buddies and my girlfriends, no family or kids. And obviously not asking anyone else to expose their boobs. I ve always been one of the guys and want to change that. Would it be appropriate if I took a risk and showed my 26 year old boobs off? I m not traditional but the dress is absolutely timeless. Basically want to do something different. Been to too many were the bride looks so uncomfortable and not herself. And for family pictures I ll cover up. |
Question: My fiance wants us to spend our honeymoon with his parents? Posted: 26 Feb 2017 10:30 PM PST I am getting married on april 14, and my fiance and I aren't going on our actual honeymoon untill the end of this year due to lack of money, we are both college students and don't have the money to take a trip right now. The day after our wedding, my fiances parents are going with a family friend to travel around where the wedding is being held, they are going to have us go with them, but I don't want to do that, I would rather spend time alone together. How do I bring this up to my fiance?

Question: In your opinion, which is the nicest cut for a diamond? Posted: 25 Feb 2017 12:44 PM PST round, oval, or cushion? I'm a big fan of all three and can't decide. Also, do you think these would all look better as plain solitaires, micro pave, or as halos for the actual bands?

Question: Mary Kay Bridal Winner? Posted: 25 Feb 2017 09:37 AM PST I recently attended a bridal expo and apparently entered a drawing for something at Mary Kay. It's a 25$ gift card and a makeover for me and 6 friends. The lady said she will call a week before the meeting date to get more info about my guests, and will then call my friends to get their skin info. She is coming over in about 2 weeks and I just don't know if this is some sort of scam or if it's okay if I don't buy anything, or if it's so awkward I shouldn't even do it. Has anyone won this or been through this? She also said she would make another appointment for just her and I to do a different 'mineral' look. Sounds weird to me, I hardly wear makeup and I have a hard time saying no sometimes so I feel like I will get frustrated and it will be a waste of her time. Let me know if you know about these 'free parties.'

Question: Shouldn't they use formal names in church? Posted: 24 Feb 2017 03:55 PM PST A couple is getting married and the groom's name is Samuel but goes by Sam. All the invitations etc. say Sam on them, and I think it would be more respectful/formal to use the full name in this type of ceremony. This applies to weddings, funerals, christenings, etc. Sam uel not Sam, Michael not Mike, Joshua not Josh, etc.

Question: How much am I supposed to tip wedding vendors? Posted: 24 Feb 2017 09:11 AM PST How much should I tip for each vendor or should I have to - I do feel their services are all quite expensive and most of them have not been that great. Getting married soon. Thank you. String quartet playing 1 hr for $600 Makeup/hair artist $360 for 3 people Photography $3200 (Photographer and assistant cover the wedding and did an engagement session) The photography has been underwhelming with few good pictures, and the photographer has been hard to reach. Banquet/Wedding Coordinator (more of a Day of coordinator) DJ/MC team $150/hr (they have been behind schedule in helping me) Officiant $350 for services and counseling - he kind of acted like a diva and was more preferential and respectful to my fiance. Chair Covers vendor - do we have to tip him? He was actually pretty good compared to the rest of the vendors. Thank you, this is a very confusing time for me. I appreciate your suggestions.
