Question: How do handle this situation with my sister? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 01:16 PM PDT I have a 14 year old sister Nancy that has been my best friend for my whole life. I really like her. I am a 19 year old guy. We are very close. I try to be very protective of her. She has developed into a beautiful girl. She recently ask me to tell her about boys and sex. I think it is VERY IMPORTANT that she know the facts especially about sex. I don't want her pregnant. I told her I would prefer she talk to our mom about this. She said it would be to embarrassing to talk to our mom and she wants me to educate her about these subjects. Should I tell our mom about here asking about this and ask her to talk to Nancy or should I tell Nancy the facts about her body and how to prevent pregnancy. Nancy trust me completely and feels she can talk to me about anything without embarrassment. Mom and teenage girls, PLEASE give me some advice her. I only what is best for Nancy. |
Question: Do I have the coolest stepmother EVER? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 01:10 PM PDT My dad married a woman who had 2 daughters my age. Shortly after they moved in together Dad had a talk with me and told me NO SEX WITH YOUR STEP SISTERS even if they want to. My step mom also had a talk with me and told me the same thing. She said "I would rather you have sex with me than have sex with my daughters". I told her I would too but I didn't know that was an option. She had a big laugh about that. She told me I can see you are your dad's son. Horny as hell. Trying to have a little fun, I told her I also has something in common with my dad. We are both hung. With a big laugh she said "since when is 2 inches hung"? My buddies that I told about this said I have the coolest stepmom EVER. Do I? |
Question: Help me please. Dad problem.? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 12:58 PM PDT I am a 17 year old girl who lives with my father, mom, grand dad and grand mom. I am really fed up of my father. He is 45 year old man who s not working. My mom s a teacher. My mom got married to him under abnormal circumstances. Or what I ve been told is that he didn t work before marriage and my grand(dad and mom) fooled my mother and so they got married. He is suffering from a mental illness and has been showing to doctors since it all started but nothing changed it just got worse. I truly love my grandparents and my mom and I can see them being insulted so I speak for them. Financially, there isn t a problem but mentally, there s too much tension. He calls my grandparents by all sorts of abusive words specially the hindi ones (mother/sister abuse). Today, he slapped my grandfather and abused my mom saying she was ****** by my grandfather and kept repeating those words in Hindi. He doesn t want to anything and just wastes the resources. No doctor has ever been able to cure the problem. He even insults the guests and servants who come home and I think he needs to go to an assylum. But, my grandmother loves him so much that instead of being aware of the situation does not want to take any action. My mother did leave my dad twice but I insisted to go back because my grandparents were suffering plus education is not cheap and my mom couldn t take care of it all alone. I really want to get rid of my father, please help me. |
Posted: 24 Mar 2017 12:46 PM PDT I want my own life, and she has always been overprotective, and quite smothering. It s getting to the point where I am ready to fly the nest and she wants me to stay within a close proximity. Like just in case I fail or need her help. Like she expects me to fail. She is guilting me to move where she does so I can be close by her at all times. Is it a good thing to stay close by family since I haven t the experiance in this world like most mature adults? |
Question: Why are our dads so overprotective of us? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 12:30 PM PDT I'm a 14 year old girl and I remember my dad has been overprotective since I was a little kid. My mom isn't as protective but my dad is. He prefers driving me to places instead of having me walk by myself. He gets worried if he even sees me with a boy. I have a 13 year old brother, but my dad doesn't pay as much attention to him. He doesn't mind if he comes home late or walks home alone at noon. Whenever he and my friend's dad gets together, they seem to talk about us more than our brothers. She's 19 but still lives at home because our country doesn't offer as many jobs for young adults and we live in a big city. I'm just wondering, is it more of a father thing to be more protective of their daughters? Or do they just worry more about the two of us because high schoolers and college students tend to go out more? |

Question: My mom doesn't let me use her car even though I have a license and a job? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 12:09 PM PDT okay hear me out. I'm 23 years old guy and I have a really decent job and i have license. I drive to work everyday with no problem and I have money for gas. My parents own like 4 cars and they rarely use 2 cars. I just got promoted at my job to be a supervisor so I'm saving up for my own car but what I don't understand is why doesn't she let me use any her cars? I feel like they treat like a little kid all the time. This ******* pisses me off. Like I have a big DJ gig today and she still won't like me take the car but she still lets my sister which they don't have license or a job. I'm triggered. am I doing something wrong or is it her? |
Question: Why is my brother doing this to my family? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 12:02 PM PDT My brother went to school (elementary) today and told his teacher that I was hitting him the day before. I only saw my brother for an hour the day before becuase I had things to do for school and i had to catch up on my sleep. I have never hit my brother unless we are wrestling for fun which siblings do. And this is the second time he's done this the first he said that my mom stabbed him with a pen. My mom would never do that. My brother is kinda autistc and he hits us and calls us abusive words he get off of YouTube which we have now blocked, he's 11. Why does he think it's okay so make up these story's. My family is sacred because the child abuse program said if it were to happen a second time that they would take away my brother and my mom and dad would face charges. We don't know what to do. |
Question: How can I convince my mom to visit somewhere else? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 12:01 PM PDT So my parents are sending me to Pittsburgh by myself to go see my friends and my mom was supposed to go to another country and I'd be able to enjoy my time and do everything freely but now she changed her mind to go see my aunt who she hates and tag along how can I change her mind? |
Question: Parents make me pay for everything!? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 11:36 AM PDT So i live in a blended family. Have 3 step siblings. And 2 biological siblings. The 3 are 18,22, and 25 years old. Im 19, my siblings are 16 and 14. Anyways, i love my parents but they are starting to make me pay for everything. I bought a new car upon graduating basic training (im in the national guard). I pay for my own insurance, they recently started making me pay for my phone on my own phone plan, i will be traveling out of town this summer and they are making me pay for my own plane ticket. Im also in school but that is covered with my GI Bill. Im 20 years old too. Is this a good thing that i have to pay for everything? I have a job. And so do my siblings but i feel like they are still in that high school mindset and are still spoonfed everything. What do you think? |
Question: Should I go talk to my mom about this? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 11:35 AM PDT So about a year and a half ago my step dad became really mean and it wasn't a good place for my mom and I. So I went to go live with my grandparents. And my mom still lives with my step dad and I know it not the best place for her and I know she can do better and go live a better life on her own. I haven't talked to her in a while. She wants to go out to eat with me and I don't know. But should I go out to eat with her and talk to her to move out on her own? Or should I just let it be? |

Question: My dad is in prison. Should I cut him off? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 11:21 AM PDT My dad has been in prison for almost two years now. He's serving 40 years, which is almost a life sentence for him. We were always close and had a good relationship before all of this happened. The thing is, he doesn't seem to care that much now. I've only spoken to him on the phone twice. I write often to update him on my life and everything that I'm doing, but he doesn't always write back or seem to put much effort in his letters. The biggest thing that bothers me is that he doesn't want me to visit him, and he's never given me a reason as to why. I'm now 16, and finally feeling like life is moving on and maybe I should as well. A part of me feels like cutting him off because he doesn't give seem to give a **** about me anymore, and another part of me wants him in my life because I do care about him and still look up to him in a way. What should I do? |

Question: Why Are Adults So Against Gaming? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 10:43 AM PDT I've been gaming since I was a little kid and about 6 years ago I decided to start working on my own so I could have some money for a gaming setup. I wanted to be a YouTuber and make money doing something I love. I didn't want to sit in a 9-5 boring job just to make a little extra cash. I wanted to follow my dreams. My parents however had a totally different standpoint. They tried to force me to take on different things which I wasn't interested in. My grades started dropping in 10th grades and they told me to pick them up. I did that perfectly and graduated with very good grades. I was still doing YouTube while in college and now I make a living off YouTube. I make 85k a year and I have a degree in my safe if anything goes wrong. After all this and proving to my parents I am making a damn LIVING off of this. They still nag me to get a real job even though I am making more than my brother does as a physical therapist. It's honestly so annoying and when they do pass god forbid. I want to keep living in this house. I'll gladly buy this house. Why are parents so against video games? |

Question: I'm in a sticky moving situation that may leave a loved one homeless? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 10:07 AM PDT I live with my fiancé and her 5 year old. We are experiencing trouble finding a baby sitter who will babysit the hours we need. Sometimes there's no one home til late at night. The people who have offered want too much money. I can make more money if I moved in with my mother and go to school( it would take about a year) and then I'd be able to start looking for work in a higher pay bracket. However her dad is a bit of a prick and won't allow her to come back and stay with the 5 year old because " the five year old is just too much for him" what should I do. We can't leave the child alone in the home and can't keep living like this |

Question: My parents say I'm an embarrassment to them? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 10:02 AM PDT I'm an 18 year old college student and my parents are pretty much disappointed in me because of my weight. I'm overweight (about 190 lbs) and all they talk about is how embarrassing I am to be seen with them; my dad always has to bring up how I have to lose weight in every conversation we have. They say I look gross, fat, that no one will want to marry me in the future, and that I don't care about myself. They say I shouldn't love myself the way I am and I have to change. Don't get me wrong, I really want to lose weight, but it's so hard for me. My parents don't even want me to go on vacation with them, especially my dad, cause they think I'll just be ridiculed by people there and be an embarrassment to them in front of their families (we were gonna go to Egypt, my homeland). My dad literally talks about how fat I am 24/7, he even gives me disgusted looks sometimes and that just really puts me down. They say I don't respect them because "I don't want to lose weight" when it's just so hard for me and I just don't have the motivation. Because of this, my confidence and motivation kept declining, and I don't know how to cope with this. The more they tell me to lose weight and say those things to me, the more I don't even want to try to lose weight. What should I do? |
Question: How do I get my dad to stop restricting which family members I see? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 09:59 AM PDT Yes certain relatives on my mom side that he does not like and since my mom is daddy restricts me from seeing them. I'm an adult and I live on my own but he gets mad when he finds out I saw them so I try to be secretive about it but often it doesn't work. |
Question: Is it ok to ignore a childs reckless behavior? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 09:57 AM PDT I am a nanny for a family going on 5 years now. The boy just turned 9 and has always had slight behavior problems, but nothing to cause too much concern. It recently was found that he has sensory processing disorder. He lashes out at me at least once a day, he gets physical with his mother and has even gotten a little physical with me. He will get to the point where he is totally out of control and extremely disrespectful. It really gets to me. His mom says to just ignore it until they have their therapist appointment on May 2nd, but its really bad its hard to ignore. Do you think this is the right way to approach this by just ignoring it until they can get to the doctor? I don't know what else to do. |
Question: How can I convince my dad to move back to Florida? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 09:31 AM PDT We moved to North Carolina 5 years ago and I still hate it here. I miss all of my friends and every single family member I have lives in Florida. My dad said that if me my mom and siblings still hate it here after 2 years then we can move back. We still hate it here and it's been WAY more than 2 years! My dad says that I will make some friends soon but it's been 5 WHOLE YEARS and I still haven't made a friend! I am very depressed and I cry myself to sleep almost every night. Please tell me a way I can convince my dad to move back to Florida!! I've tried everything! I can't live like this!! |
Posted: 24 Mar 2017 08:53 AM PDT I'm 23 & an actor based out of NYC. I get just enough roles (broadway & indie movies) to keep at it, but not enough to think I'm going to really make. My biggest role was in a 2014 movie Fort Tilden that won a lot of indie awards & sold relatively well. The two leads are millenial girls on a desparate trip to find boys & happiness. At one point they show up uninvited for a beach trip 2 boys are going on, when they arrive the boys are already there with two girls. I'm one of those "other" girls and am in the scene for 10 minutes. Part of the point of the scene is how awkward it is for the lead girls to be surprised by us, and we are also topless throughout the scene (its a topless beach). The movie did well enough, and my scene was large enough, that its often gotten me auditions and even parts. My sister, in an attempt to convince me to quit acting, swears up & down I only got the role because i have large breasts, she used that claim to demean everything I've ever done. But I don't think its true. The scene did require nudity but (1) I was always fully clothed for the auditions (2) the other girl they cast had fairly small breasts & (3) none of the roles its led to me getting auditions for have included nudity. Her claim is really eating at me.What if it IS true? My biggest role, that gives me the most hope? Its not something I can really ask my agent (and expect a straight answer). I keep watching the scene over & over. I just don't know what to think. Thoughts? |

Question: Is this a weird age gap for a friendship? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 08:30 AM PDT We are 39 years apart, but we get a long so great and have each impacted each others lives in a special way. We are very close and talk on a daily, is this weird for a friendship? |
Posted: 24 Mar 2017 08:29 AM PDT Me. She thinks she's better than everyone, that we're both better. We were blessed to be beautiful, but I don't think I'm better than anyone. We're just opposites. I love to laugh, my best friend made me pee my pants she's so funny. My sister doesn't even like Napoleon Dynamite. My sister likes to spend time sleeping with other women's men, spending money on 100$ meals, buying clothes she wears once, and thinking everyone's ugly. I have a hard time choosing between my sister and my best friend, when it's comes to parties and gathering, where you can only have plus one. But this time I'm planning my wedding, and I haven't picked my maid of honor. I know I'll hurt my sister, I don't want to, but I feel like I'm being forced to. I just don't know who to choose... |
Question: My parents grounded and beat me for being eight minutes late.? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 08:01 AM PDT My parents told me to get back home at 7:30, but my bicycle chain snapped in half in the centre, so I had to walk and got back home at 7:38. My parents beat me up with a rolling pin, and then said I was grounded for one year. They took my books, PC, my phone (but I took it back), said I can t go outside, have to clean the house without pay, have all my £2000 taken away forever and said I m not allowed to do my homework (they say You can get a detention, we don t give a ****! ) I asked why I got grounded, they said You came home late, you acted cheeky (I didn t say anything) and now you are being ******* dense. ******* kill yourself we don t care one bit! They said i am a ******* idiot for not accepting it is my fault, saying Oh it s never your ******* fault, ********. It s always someone else s fault. Can someone help me? I told them it was because my chain came off, and they said ''You should have fu**ing predicted that would happen. Your fault, not ours.'' |
Question: I ******* HATE MY PIECE OF SHOT FATHER! What do I do about him? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 07:59 AM PDT My dad is the definition of a narcissist/sociolath. When I was a teenager he would take me into the shed he built in the backyard, and he would threaten to kill me, he won hit me with his hands, shovels, 2x4 etc. Then after he would do that he would go inside the house where my mom, and sister were, and would act like nothing ever happened. One of my ears is deformed because of him abusing me when I was very young I don't remember what happened because I was less than 5 years old. When I was a teenager he would grab me by my ******* hair for no reason, scream at me ,and sometimes hit me. He always does things like that when my mom, and sister were not around. He acts like he's this great reasonable guy when he is in public, but at home he's the exact opposite. He would beat our family dog in the shed when he was angry. My dad would make up lies about me to purposely destroy my life, and everyone be lives him because he's an adult, and I was a teenaver. Bes done tons of other bad things to me for no reason. Should I report this to the police? |

And in the same day I suffered a bike accident and woke up in hospital and now I'm home and they pretend I don't exist!! I talk to them and they don't seem to listen to me at all. Question: Can sisters be jealous of the attention she gets? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 05:43 AM PDT My friend has a serious health issue and she's also very dear to me. Her younger sister is taking care of her as usual. And i try to offer all the help i can on a daily basis. Sometimes i get the impression that her younger sister is jealous of the attention she gets and that she would like to be talked to or given some time too. Am i over thinking it ? I tried to be nice to her and tried to get to know her too but she doesnt seem to be intrested. Opinions ? |
Question: Is frequently picking fights with one of your kids considered abuse? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 05:38 AM PDT I'm on the receiving end of this and I don't imagine it will stop until I move out of the house. |
Question: Am I wrong for wanting to leave my family? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 04:55 AM PDT I have 2 sisters and my mother. One is a schizophrenic who I can't stand. She's dirty, she has no self respect, didn't finish college, depends on my mother for everything, doesn't clean or know how to cook, and she tries to use her disease an excuse to disrespect people. She also makes my mother stressed. She's 28. My other sister is very rude to everyone. She doesn't care about anyone else's feelings except her own. She even disrespects our mother, however she's my mothers favorite so she allows it. She's stated plenty of times that she doesn't care about my feelings and she and my mom always team up against me and put me down. My mom always sticks up for her and never sticks up for me. I am the youngest. So according to them my feelings don't matter and nothing I say has any relevance. So I told her that when I graduate I'm leaving. Since I'm the only one in the house who cleans or cooks, she does get me the material stuff I want. I plan on doing my chores and continuing to get good grades. Then going off to college and not speaking to them. I've tried to talk to my mom about this constantly and at this point she no longer cares and won't even continue the conversation. Am I wrong for leaving when I get the chance? |
Question: Did my eldest sibling have any right doing this to me? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 03:48 AM PDT I am a person who had missed out on attending a metro/feminization program due to work when parents took my teen sibs and eldest sibling but now my eldest sibling has put me into a position where I am ridiculed by a lot of people for dressing in a certain way, getting a styled haircut, appearing at certain places, etc ever since he threw his own lies about me being a manly man and some harmful lies. He would also say this in my face "there's absolutely no occasion for you to hear about that" whenever I get a styled haircut or get informed of some events. Metrosexuality has always been my natural identity and preferences even before he had attended and got that idea. He was nothing but a macho man who didn't even care about looks before he attended this program I am being honest about metrosexuality as being my natural identity and preferences even before he got that idea. I am not a poser. |
Question: Should I just give up work? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 02:02 AM PDT Hello, I moved to a new area with my boyfriend for his work last year and he earns very good money and wants me to just be a house wife as he can see im so unhappy in my job. I am 28 and we might look at having a baby in the next few years after we properly get married. I want to give up my job at a dental practice as I'm finding it hard to fit in there and the other girls are younger and seem to resent me for using my holiday leave to actually go abroad and travel different places with my boyfriend when none of them can afford it as they all waste their money going out drinking every weekend. They have actually said they are jealous because my boyfriend earns a good wage and theirs don't. They are b*tchy and mean to me every day. I've thought about getting another job but I didn't go to university so I'm limited on what I could do. I'm finding it very stressful and isolating at work and want to leave but I am wondering is it ok to give up work at such a young age if you want to and can afford it? Thank you anyone who can relate or offer genuine advice. |

Question: I lied to my parents? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 01:25 AM PDT i didn t do anything catastrophic, i just skipped school and went to the gym instead of being where i was supposed to be (it was last day of school so i thought it was not that important. though i didn t literally lie, i didn t say anything when i was leaving home). my parents found out, called me and said that i can go wherever i want but they aren t waiting for me at home anymore, that they are tired of my lies and i am so unreliable and unworthy. i mean, i should go and tell them "i m sorry for lieing to you about such a stupid thing and loosing your trust, i will never ever do it again" but i have already made mistake like this before when i asked for money to go to some event but didn t go there and spent this money on another thing. we had a serious talk then and i promised to never lie again. but here i am, wandering in the city and not knowing what to do cause i m a terrible person indeed. i have no idea what to tell them |
Question: Four year old watches porn, help!? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 11:29 PM PDT My four year old cousin was using my moms phone and went into the bathroom. I went over to the bathroom to tell her not to use the phone in there and could hear her watching porn, it was from the cartoon "teen totans go!" (You know the rip off of the original teen titans). I kept knocking on the door and telling her to get out but she wouldnt budge. I pretended that i walked away and waited for her to come out of the bathroom and when she did i took the phone and looked through the history. There was loads of porn videos, and by loads i mean L O A D S. there were about 30 or 40 porn videos based around bad kids shows!! I told my mom and she didnt believe me and thought I WAS WATCHING THEM AND BLAMED IT ON MY COUSIN!! I cannot believe this child please send advice |
Posted: 23 Mar 2017 11:28 PM PDT I love my mom with all my heart. But I had a ****** up chilhood to wear it's hard for me to show my love to someone. Like I feel weird hugging someone and telling them I love them. When someone does it to me it's like don't know what to do. I didn't grow up living with my mom but like I said, I really love her. She's been in and out of the hospital and she her wealth keeps getting worse.I wanna be there for her but I don't know how. She lives in WA and I live in Texas. Her dog just died and she's going into a deep depression because of her sickness and the dogs death. I don't know what to do. I wanna her to know how much I love her I just don't know how. I don't know how to deal with any of this. I feel ****** up because I try to forget how sick she is. And I know that's an asshole move and I hate myself for it but I can't help it. It's just how I cope. Forget and move on. But she my mother and I don't want to be that way but I just don't know what to fkn do |
Question: Is it okay for a 12 year old girl to date a high school senior? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 10:48 PM PDT I just discovered that my 12 year old cousin is dating a guy who's a senior! We were at the park when she and this guy came up to each other and kissed. Then she told me that it's her boyfriend and not to tell her parents because they don't know. Here in Canada, people are allowed to date up to 5 years age gap I think? I'm not sure but all I know is that we have one of the youngest ages when it comes to consent for sex. It's 12 or 13 years old for age of consent and I'm worried that she may think that's an excuse to make bad decisions with him. They discussed sexual things on Facebook but since our parents don't understand English, she has an advantage of hiding the things she says online. I just don't think it's very appropriate for a 12 year old and a 17/18 year old to be more than just friends. Sure, they can have a friendship but..really a relationship? I don't know what kind of "relationship" they're having for sure. Would you let your 12 or 13 year old date someone who's 17 or 18? And should her parents be more concerned because she's a girl? |
Question: My parents are really mad at me? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 10:40 PM PDT so my parents are mad cuz i sit around on the computer playing video games and only work 16 hours a week. why are they mad at me? |
Question: I'm so tired of being at home...? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 10:26 PM PDT I am eighteen years old and I will be attending college in the fall. However, I am getting really tired. My mom works crazy hours, so isn't home as much. I have to wake my sister up, get her ready, then I have to get ready. My grandma drops my sister off and I take the bus. After school, I have to pick her up and bring her home. I make sure that she does homework and I make her dinner, then I work on my homework. We get ready for bed and depending on when my mom comes home, we go to bed. My sister, however, does not listen to me. She makes it really difficult to take care of her. She's only 7, but she has a huge attitude problem. She never listens to me and she always messes up the house. My mom doesn't really care. My cousin has been living with us for four years and every day, I have been watching her. I try and tell her how I feel, but she tells me that I don't know what stress is and that I barely watch her. Sometimes, my mom comes home and I just go upstairs and cry it's getting really hard for me to handle the pressures of living at home, trying to juggle, school, and trying to find a part-time job. |
Question: How would parents react if they saw their son with armpit hair? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 10:14 PM PDT I'm 14 and have a lot of armpit hair and self conscious about it but I want to show people that I have it |
Question: Disrespectful 17 year old boy? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 10:01 PM PDT I am a female community college student living with my mom and brother. My younger brother talks back to my mom. He bosses her around as if he were a manipulative husband. When he wants her to do whatever he wants. I can't say a word to him or else he'll throw a huge fit. He'll hit the wall, kick my cats, or storm outside in the middle of the night. He doesn't drink or use drugs. He goes to church, but he just has a terrible way of being. In front of others he acts well behaved, but at home he is a different person. My mother doesn't know what to do with my brother anymore. My mom thought he would get better after he became Mormon and started going to church, but he hasn't. She has tried disciplining him psychically, but he does not listen. He just laughs off her punishments and words. I don't know if YA is the best place to ask for advice, but I really need some right now. Thank you very much. |
Question: My dad won't let me have me own opinions? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 09:10 PM PDT I was in the car talking to my dad when I saw that my cousin had gotten a tattoo. I said it was cute and my dad countered back to me and said it was "Disrespectful to her own body". The tattoo was just a harry potter quote. I told him he was being ridiculous and I said when I'm older I want a small tattoo and he freaked out. He said that people who get tattoos are ghetto and sketchy and idiotic. I told him he shouldn't judge people and that it was their own body, not his. He just acted like a child saying that he could judge whoever he wants to judge. This wasn't the first time we had a big fight. I have had many fights with him over politics, gender roles, racism, and sexism. All I have gotten out of these fights is that he is racist, sexist, and acts like a child. Don't get me wrong, I love my dad and do try to respect him but how can I respect a man who won't let me have my own opinions? He has ENCOURAGED me multiple times to speak for myself, but when myself doesn't speak like him, then I'm wrong. Please someone tell me how to approach him. My dad won't let me have my own opinions? |
Question: Is she secretly trying to get my attention? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 09:06 PM PDT Long story short. I'm 20 and I have this cousin who's a sociopath(danger to society). She's living at dad's house and I had to move out bc of her. My dad wasn't defending me. So every time I'd visit. I'd see her stare at me out if the corner of my eye. She listens to all my convos with my dad (she's an ear hustler). Whenever I talk to her dad she huffs and puffs (she's very possessive of him; doesn't have friends really). However, at family gatherings she'll start talking to people near me and when I move she'll eventually go to where I moved and talk to nearby people. She'll even go out of her way to say hi to people I just met at family gatherings.Whenever I go over there, she secretly watches me from the window (I don't look or talk to her), she's talked bad behind my back, and loves getting into people's business. She even cuts in front of me on the road(a couple feet ahead of me, not right in front). |
Question: I'm stuck on a Toastmasters topic for my 2nd speech....? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 08:43 PM PDT I've got a speech coming in several days in Toastmasters. As a new member, it's been awesome but also nerve-wracking. Toastmasters encourages its members to talk about topics beyond their comfort zone - even about their personal stories (something I can never do anymore). I am not open anymore. Most of my life hasn't even been a happy one, and I don't think anyone in the building would wanna hear some f***ed up stories in someone's life for a speech. That would REALLY kill the mood. And the primary criticism of my icebreaker speech was that I didn't speak enough about myself. That was the point. There's nothing positive about my life I'd open up to anyone about (not even in the club)... - Saw my own parents divorce before my eyes at 6 - Saw my first death (my grandmother) at 6 - Endured abuse from my father for 12 years in every possible way - Both my parents spoil my sister to this day, who's never above acting like a brat to get what she wants - I'm the only family member at home who's attending college and doesn't have a car - I'm always losing friends (they probably never were) and it's through lies and betrayal The list goes on, but I need a topic for my 2nd speech (even for future speeches) that doesn't involve my life at all. I just need a jumpstart.... |
Posted: 23 Mar 2017 08:39 PM PDT I'm 23 and I've been dating my bf for almost two years and he's my first serious boyfriend. Im very close to my grandma and she's still very overprotective of me though I am grown. Anyway, she's told me that my boyfriend is only using me for money which isn't true because I don't give him my hard earned money. She says he doesn't love me and other crazy claims. It's stressing me out because I feel like I'm stuck in between the two of them. How do I handle this situation?? |

Question: 18 and my mom wont let me grow up.? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 07:18 PM PDT So, my mother will not let me grow up. It is definitely not because she loves too much, but out of hatred. She complains about me not having a job, but when I try to apply for a job she interferes saying that I am not allowed to get a job till I get a car..Well problem is, she wont let me drive or get my license, plus she wants me to buy my own car. She will not let me go out and hang with friends. She has me homeschooled. I just want to be able to enjoy life but I cant because she makes that impossible. She is constantly yelling at me. I just want somebody to help me. To let me know that this isnt okay and that im not going crazy. |

Posted: 23 Mar 2017 06:06 PM PDT A few months ago I met an older woman at a nightclub and we danced, chatted and spent the weekend together. She was incredibly nice and flirty. I wanted to see her again but she's married. She claimed to be unhappy with her marriage, and that she may soon leave him. I found out in January that she's pregnant and I'm the father. I told her it is obviously her husband's but she revealed he cannot have children. I told her I'm not ready to be a father, so she told me to be ready. I'm 19, she's 34. My family will freak out when I tell them. But I'm not ready to do that yet. |
Question: My ex girlfriend got raped? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 06:04 PM PDT He's 20 something and she refuses to tell her dad. Her dad hates me and she hates me but she still talks to me. She says she fantasized about rape. Now that she did get raped, actually, because she did not consent the backdoor, she will not tell anyone because she doesn't feel its necessary, she's not scared or anything she just doesn't care. It bothers me because he's manipulating her and forcing her to do stuff when she doesn't want too. And she says no but won't do **** about it. I want to tell her dad but he hates me and she would deny and he wouldn't believe me. |
Question: Should I talk to my mom about this? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 05:55 PM PDT So about a year and a half ago my step dad became really mean and it wasn't a good place for my mom and I. |
Question: Why is everything always my fault in my house ? Posted: 23 Mar 2017 05:50 PM PDT So the bathroom floor was wet because all of us showered and later my mom comes upstairs and. Sees the big puddle of water on the floor and she automatically yells at me. I told her it wasn't me because I dry off inside the shower and she said I know that. I know who it was and I told her who I think it was and she got mad and said you can't blame one person. One of my sisters never picks up the towels and never dries the floor and she gets straight out without drying off. I'm the oldest of 4 btw. |
