Question: I wanna ask my uncle to talk me down the aisle with my dad.? Posted: 17 Mar 2017 08:01 PM PDT He has stage IV cancer and while I don't even know if he'll be around for my wedding I'm really holding out for it because I want him to be a part of my big day. He means so much to me and he has no children and was never married so I want to give him this and it would mean so much to me as well. I'm just not sure how to go about it. I thought they could both walk me down and then my uncle would go to his seat and then the officiant can ask my dad "who gives this woman to this man blah blah" or my uncle walks me half way to my dad and then my dad walks me down the rest of the way. Thoughts? |
Posted: 17 Mar 2017 09:43 AM PDT We're hoping to find a venue around 1500-2000. Gretna Green is pretty close to what we're looking for but I wanted to see if there is other options like it. We would like a castle but it doesn't have to be. By package I mean a venue that offers the officiant/ cake etc. |
Question: I want to propose to my girlfriend.? Posted: 17 Mar 2017 05:21 AM PDT Her grandmother is terminally ill. She's got two months left. We're going to the nursing home to visit her tonight. Today also happens to be my girlfriends birthday. She's cried multiple times because "grandma won't be at my wedding". So what if I propose tonight at the nursing home with her grandmother right there? I also have rings for her 7 yr old twin daughters from another relationship. Is there something wrong with proposing in a hospital next to her dying grandmother? |
Question: Mothers wedding ring opinions.? Posted: 17 Mar 2017 05:10 AM PDT So. I have been with this girl for a while now. Im planning on proposing to her. When i told my dad he was very happy and excited. He asked me how would i feel about giving her my moms ring. My mom passed away from breast cancer a few months after me and my lady got together. My parents noticed how much motivation i accumulated after meeting this girl hpw much my attitude and whole life changed. My folks loved her. My mom would always say "you better hang on to her and not lose that girl " so basically my question is what are your opinions on giving her my moms ring? Do you think its cheesy? Im pretty old fashioned and my mom was from alabama. And im going to throw it out there that her ring is pretty damn nice. And its already two rings bonded together. Should i propose with a engagment ring that i bought and give her my moms on the day? Any opi ions would be very appreciated |

Question: Why did Accepting Reality delete his answer to Mohammad Javed's question? Posted: 16 Mar 2017 12:02 PM PDT Mohammad Javed's Question was:- Ramadan: Is rizq (sustenance) predestined in Islam? And our choice is to take it from legal means or illegally? Is it true that one will not die until one has consumed all rizq that was predestined for him? Accepting Reality replied :- Everything is predestined in Islam, even your sins. And, later, he added :- Volume 8, Book 77, Number 611: Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Adam and Moses argued with each other. Moses said to Adam. 'O Adam! You are our father who disappointed us and turned us out of Paradise.' Then Adam said to him, 'O Moses! Allah favored you with His talk (talked to you directly) and He wrote (the Torah) for you with His Own Hand. Do you blame me for action which Allah had written in my fate forty years before my creation?' And, this was in the comments:- So you can sin and blame Allah for it? There cannot be a stupid answer than this! Muhammad Javed · You can't blame Allah ta'ala for your sin but sin is predestined. There is a hadith about Adam (alaihi salam) it will be in my answer, and there is another ahadith about the situation which is more clear... Question: Is this funny or tacky? What do you think? Posted: 16 Mar 2017 11:04 AM PDT I was at a wedding of a couple of my friends recently. They both have an unusual sense of humor. As the bride entered the back of the church, she was escorted down the aisle by her former husband. There was an audible gasp from the audience. When the minister asked who gives this woman ....... her former husband said I do. There was applause from the audience and some laughter. The theme of the wedding was out with the old and in with the new. Do you think that was funny or just plain tacky. |
