my crush knows I like him and he's known for a really long time. he's shy, but whenever he's with his friends and around me, he tends to be more outgoing. although, he's super distant and avoids me almost as if he hates me or thinks "oh it's the girl that likes me, I need to get away." he stares at me but then quickly looks away once I look at him. his friends also tease him about me/punch his arm when I'm around so all of those sound like dead giveaways. now, an incident happened a while ago that involved his friends and miscommunication I guess but basically what happened was that his friends kept asking me if I'd date him and if I liked him. not to mention they obviously shipped me and him together. So I was recently broken up (less than a week ago). We had only been together for 3-4 months so not a hugely significant time, but we had literally talked everyday and hung out every weekend up until the day of the break up. And we had actually increased the amount of time we spent together and were spending the night together 3-4 times a week. There were no indicators that we were ending. In fact the suggestion to move in when my lease was up in the next few months was made just a week before and not on my part. We had plans of taking trips together, some that were already paid for and some we had just started to look into. In fact one of the trips was brought up by them just two days before we broke up. Then the break up came completely out of left field. I feel like this was a rushed decision. The reasons given for the break up were esentially a quarter life crisis. "I don t know what I m doing with my life and it s not fair to drag you along". "What if we want different things?" And when I brought up the trips they seemed dumbfounded and said that they hadn t even thought of them. I m just super confused and trying to understand how we got to this point.
