Posted: 14 Mar 2017 06:05 PM PDT I started a new job a month ago and right from the moment I stepped in the building for my interview the girl who told me to take a seat seemed to take an instant disliking to me. She was really blunt and kept staring at me and not in a good way. Once I had been offered the job properly and came back to get my uniform we were introduced properly and again she barely said "hello" without making any effort to bring a conversation to the table and then just continued walking away. Then I was put with her for her to help me settle in and she just kept leaving me, never spoke to me, didn't introduce me to any of the others and completely avoids eye contact. If I'm talking she comes in and interrupts and makes the whole conversation about herself so I am finding it difficult to speak to the others. She just really seems to hate me and is making it obvious but she's so nice and sweet to the others. I'm a year older than her and we do the exact same job. What's wrong with her? |

(I'm a dental nurse) she was spreading malicious rumors about me to the other girls and sending messages on the computer to everyone about how I hadn't ordered enough stock, basically naming and shaming me which is totally unnecessary. I took photos of this on my phone. She also deliberately ignored me all the time and wouldn't communicate with me properly when we worked in the surgery together and made shocking comments to me such as "If I tell you to mix that material standing on one leg you'll do it" and then she would laugh at me. She's the same age as me and only been qualified 2 years. She's not even a partner just a colleague like me. I complained about all this to my manager and now she is being SO nice to me and FAKE. Making the effort to talk to me and be nice and texting me all the time out of work. It's like she's a changed person. Does this just prove she has a guilty conscience and she's worried? Can a bully really change their way or are they always a bully? |

But 4 weeks ago we had an argument because she thought I lied to her when I didn't, I softly held her because she was leaving without letting me talk... she later told me she was abused in the past and she said I crossed the line when I touched her. I kept. Texting here trying to apologize but she blocked me from everything, Soo I sent her a heartfelt apology to her house with flowers. Later that week police came to my house that I need to just leave her alone because I could get in more trouble... (She did not tell police I touched her) but I cant stop thinking about the situation, would she ever talk to me when she cools down?? It's been 4 weeks and I miss her like crazy. Not that I don't have any of those things, I but I am definitely inferior to her in many ways. I've always had the tendency to want to be better than everyone else. I'm 23, and I should already be growing out of these behaviours. It's pathetic. I really want a deep friendship with people and not see them as threats to my ego. We are both in university, if that's important. I've considered seeing a psychiatrist because my thoughts and feelings when confronted with someone I perceive to be better than me can get pretty intense and interfere with my productivity and quality of life. In addition, I'm very calculated when I interact with people, I only want them to see me in my best light. It's hard for me to keep friends because of this reason. |

I was in class with him and was looking past him at the instructor, he must have saw me do so. Prior to this he spent a large amount of time tugging on his shorts (we were next to each other so I could see it). He actually even got off his bike later to (I guess) adjust. Prior to that he says to me that I should never wear boxers. I actually don't think this was meant to be suggestive at all and think it was an off handed comment. My male friend says I'm wrong. It was said on purpose, and that no man mentions their underpants (even as a one off comment) to someone they barely know unless they want them thinking about that. Is he right? It started few years ago, I was bullied because I was smart and I knew English (I'm from a non-English speaking country) and it got so bad I changed my schools last year. I was in a new class (for smart people and for people that know languages well) it looked so good and I had new friends! We had fun and I got pretty good marks even thought it was harder. It was so great and I thought that my problem was solved. But then it all changed in matter of days. I already knew some time that I'm gay. Since I trusted these kids I told them. Even my 3 best friends which we made a group with. But I absolutely regret that I did such a thing. One guy in the group started to make fun of me and so did the other kids after they've seen that I'm alone and weak now. I was psychically abused everyday but I kinda held it in. This is happening for about an year now. I for some reason get worse marks now and I want to make my parents proud and not to make them think I'm stupid. (I have B's and I am kinda worried I'll get C's in the end of the school year) I also got more weight because of the stress. I can't change schools because it would look weird to my mom and I'd have to tell her everything. Even that I'm gay. I'm very scared of that since my parents make jokes about gay people. Please help me someone and tell me what to do. I'm 14 so I by myself can't do anything. |

And so I did, for almost 7 months. She tried to reach out from time to time, but I still kept rejecting her calls and messages.. I didn't even congratulate her on turning 19. Today, after all this time, I got a text from her saying that she wants to hang out sometime this week and I ignored that message too. I know that ignoring will get me nowhere, but I just don't want to see her. Ever. It bothers me SO much, and the worst part of it is - we have a lot of common friends and I constantly get overwhelmed with questions about her. Just thinking about her makes me want to beat someone up. I tried to tell her through a friend of mine that I'm not intrested in reconnecting with her, but she just won't stop trying. What should I do? I'm losing my mind over here. Honestly, I'm scared. I fear that most of those common friends of ours are going to start picking sides, commenting on my decision etc. |

That's not the only problem but apparently we're in different classes in school and she's gotten a lot closer to this girl and she keeps posting pics of them together and tags her in pics and texts 24/7 and nearly every posts is about her... (I'm a dental nurse) she has been spreading malicious rumors against me to the other girls and sending messages on the computer to everyone about how I hadn't ordered enough stock, basically naming and shaming me which is totally unnecessary. I took photos of this on my phone. She also deliberately ignored me all the time and wouldn't communicate with me properly when we worked in the surgery together and made shocking comments to me such as "I'm in charge here, what I say is what goes in this surgery, if I tell you to mix that material standing on one leg you'll do it" and then she would laugh at me. She's the same age as me and only been qualified 2 years. She's not even a partner just a colleague like me. I complained about all this to my manager and now she is being SO nice to me and FAKE. Making the effort to talk to me and be nice and texting me all the time out of work. It's like she's a changed person. Does this just prove she has a guilty conscience and she's worried? Why did she have it in for just me? |

| Question: Friend wants to plan something for my birthday but I can't go? Posted: 14 Mar 2017 02:06 AM PDT I'm in a financial situation, so I have to work a little extra on my birthday and the days around it. I feel so bad to decline her invitation, but I need to take care of things. She's the type of girl that likes to have fun, and I'm a boring dude that prioritizes work. She's a bit younger than I am as well. Not because I dislike her, but if I don't work, I'll fall behind paying bills, and my school grades will suffer. It's been difficult a bit for me because I have to juggle school and work and I rarely ever go out to have fun. :/ And I have no means to pay back for her nice gesture. I have to work a little extra and have to keep up with my school grades. I do wanted to hangout but then at the moment, it's kind of an emergency. What do I tell her? I already did decline but she still wants to celebrate. She kinda doesn't want to back down because it's actually my big three 0... FML She doesn't come from my type of family... where we don't have money unlike her's |

Anyway, after talking for a while we drifted off and talked to other people and I kept drinking, but later on we started talking again and went up to one of the rooms. Look the last thing I remember is that I brought up some liquor and at one point I offered her some coke, I guess I blacked out. Anyway, I woke up in bed, without clothes on, the next day! I feel so guilty! I raped her practically! I just left and then yesterday I called the police department and they may have misunderstood me, I said I wanted to report a sexual assault and told them what happened & they told me to come in & file a police report, but that doesn't make any sense! I'm supposed to file a police report against myself when I'm the perpetrator. I feel like the biggest piece of trash in the world, 2 years ago I gave a speech about this at my college and now I'm a hypocrite since I did it. Also, I don't know how but this girl got my number & texted me that she wants me to call her. I can't she probably wants to know why I assaulted her, and I don't have an answer to that. |

| Posted: 13 Mar 2017 09:41 PM PDT So, I've always been confused by boys. I mean, who hasn't? But I'm not sure what to do when I just want to simply be friends with a guy for once. So this guy, we'll call him Fred, was generally a nice person to be around. I went to youth group with him, and I wanted to be friends with him ( I didn't have any feelings for him whatsoever). I messaged him on Instagram, and we started a pretty nice convo about some pretty random stuff, and we became friends. We talked almost everyday for a little bit, just about random things like vacations, bands, youth group, etc.The catch is, he thought I was flirting with him. I clearly wasn't. The only thing that may have been questionable was the fact that I sat next to him during youth group because he was good company, and I hugged him when youth group ended, but for me, it was purely platonic. One day he started to get really flirty with me, and I just ignored it. Then after about a week of that happening, I kindly told Fred that I liked him as a friend, because I guess he thought I liked him, and I didn't want to lead him on somehow. He said he was fine with that, and he seemed totally cool with it. That was, until he started ignoring me. He would avoid me at youth group, he wouldn't text me, nothing. I was really confused. I'm honestly still confused. I just don't understand why we can't just be friends without any feelings between us. |

So i've been without friends for almost a year and pretty lonley. Anyway, when i did go out with friends, my girlfriend didnt have many friends and didnt go out much so i invited her, not even out of pitty but because i wanted to be with her and i wanted her to have fun. Well now she has friends and goes out often and i dont. I have told her that i'd like to get to know her friends and she's invited me once but it wasnt a good experience, we went to play pool, my girldriend ignored me most of the time and no one was thay friendly. I told her i'd like to try again, but she keeps going out with them without telling me or inviting me. Is this a bad sign? I keep telling her how much it upsets me and and she keeps saying she'll stop and invite me more but never does. It feels shady to me like shes lying, or hiding something or I'm embarrassed of me. |
