She is very insecure about her weight and complains to me a lot about how fat she is and wants to be thinner (she is obese) And I do the same back about my breast size (I'm very flat chested and hate it) I posted a picture of myself earlier and lots of people have liked it and said nice things and she commented underneath it saying "no boobs" like wtf that's so mean! My friend I was with when we saw it said it was really harsh of her and she probably only meant it as a "joke" I've already deleted her comment and am not sure what to do now. Shall I say something to her? Why did she do that? It's really upset me! |

She and her boyfriend live together in an apartment, and there was a heavy tension between the two of them all weekend. I told her multiple times I wanted to leave yesterday evening, but she kept saying she was too nervous about how dark it was and that she'd feel better if I left this morning. I reluctantly stayed. She told me they were going to sleep in their room while I watched another movie in the living room before I passed out. All of a sudden, I hear this huge commotion coupled with a bunch of screaming (mainly her voice). She then storms out of the room and he follows her, getting his coat on to leave. They both insulted each other and went for the jugular, saying irreversible things I should have not been present for. Apparently right before this, she broke his laptop, and so he poured a glass of water on her. She started screaming and crying when they were both out in the living room insulting each other, and then dumped water from the Brita filter on him. She bought him an Xbox for VDay (I was watching the movie on it), and ran and unplugged it so he wouldn't take it with him, and they literally started tackling each other over it. I had to play mediator/therapist the entire time. I know no one can predict things like this happening, but am I wrong for being a little pissed that I was dragged into their drama or should I be more of an understanding friend in this situation? |

I'm a freshman in high school, and my first day at this new school was today, and while it wasn't terrible, I still have this intense sadness and resentment. How can I get rid of this? Then this other girl who's name was also Amethyst herd this and went up to her and said to her that if you're going to name a pet the same name of someone you know you have to ask for permission from them if it's a unique name. If it's a common name then it doesn't matter. When I herd this I thought, well just because the dog has same name as you doesn't mean it's anything associated or related to something about you. Also You don't own the name just because it's unique. Every name is special. Also when she said you should only ask for permission when it's a unique name not a common one I thought, well that's sort of saying because a name is less common like Amethyst it deserves more privacy and permission to use than a common name like Grace then you can use it all you want. No, I don't believe that any name deserves more premission to use than another name does. What's your opinion on this? I'm talking about naming a pet or child the same name as someone else you know. Not using the name in a book to be published or anything. Ok, now I see Amethyst isn't such a special name after all because it's the name of a stone and a naval ship haha. I was raised right, I know how to keep myself, and my friends are of my culture so were all raised the same. The reason I'm saying this is because my culture, friends, age, and gender come into play. My dad is very relaxed with me he understands I'm a teenage girl and I should be able to live my young life and have fun. I go to a private school so it's really tough for me to have fun even at school. My mom is super overprotective with me to the point where I can't go to the gym with my best friend at 11 am......she acts like I never told her but it's been a month I've been telling her. I asked her to go to the movies with my friend and she was okay with it, 30 minutes later she calls my friend's mom saying don't take her. This morning she yelled at me about not telling her about it in the first place....I don't care that I didnt get to go to the movies. It's about the fact that she always last minute cancels any plans I have and never lets me do anything. I'm not a bad girl either for me to say maybe it's that, any parent that meets me and then my mom all they do is talk about how great I am. But this other friend is ridiculous, he's mean and kind of a bully. I don't care for this, so I brought up what was happening with M and I just ignore G. M normally keeps the two of us apart, But G always finds a way. G would send me really rude stuff on twitter & when I blocked him he'd send rude stuff from other accounts. When I removed him on Snapchat for sending the same stuff he would take M's phone when they were together and send stuff from M's Snapchat. Along with this, he would also send rude text messages to me from M's phone. This doesn't even include the rude stuff directly from G. He would text me to make fun of me, or just to say mean things. The comments and actions get even worse in person. I honestly don't know why G does this, I've been nothing but kind to him. Apparently he's said he just doesn't like me & cant control it. I did bring this up with M again, and he said he would talk to him. He did, and I guess it made most of it stop however because of G's behavior I cannot be a good friend to M. There were two other friends on the line as well (who called after G & he let them in the call) but I wasn't allowed to because G was there. (thats why my friend calls me a whore) because it's in the family .. but you can't help who you love and I don't sleep around . Anyways it ended very nasty and he said he was warning me from it not working out. I prayed about it and immediately opened the bible to this verse below.. is this a sign ?!? Well, I have noticed that in the recent few years we have started drifting away from one another. What makes me really sad is that I just now realised she is only my friend only because she can get use out of me. It was never like that before, but we didn't see each other for like 3-4 months. We wouldn't even text unless I text her for the past year or so. One day when I texted her she told me she was sick. We were talking and then she said she wanted some pizza and asked if I could visit her on Monday (last week) and bring some, cause she can't leave the house. Since I am a kind of person who can do anything for my friends, I said yeah, sure, but not on Monday, because I was busy and I said I would do that some day later. Well, what happened was I texted her today saying if I could come and visit her tomorrow. Guess what she said. She said "I got some pizza from my mom yesterday, no need for you to come now". Great. I just realised my best friend is not really my best friend anymore. I am literally crying. I know this is stupid, but it just hurt me so much. Pizza is more than your best friend. Cool. It would be funny if it was a meme, but it is real life and it hurts my feelings. I only have 3 friend left. I am lonely most of the time. I don't know what to do. Please help me |

We used to not talk at all but now we do a little and we always make each other laugh when we're working. But she tends to talk really when we're alone. Im shy around her compared to other girls bc obviously I like her. She's very nice to me and laugh at all my jokes. She's also always there to help me out. And I noticed she always tries to be near me and walks wherever I am. Like she would walk pass me once and I won't notice her purposely and then 5 min later she comes back again and makes some small comments and eventually I will talk to her. And I always hear her sing sometimes to like love songs when it's playing. I can't really tell because sometimes I'm in a shitty mood or if I simply just doesn't acknowledge her she doesn't talk. |

Posted: 20 Mar 2017 12:48 AM PDT I used to have my own room at our old home, thought I didn't have many friends so not many people came into my room and none of my family members liked to visit me. The only person who would come into my room was my mother who would often complain about me being messy, and I hated that she was there as if it were invading my privacy. I just thought it was just normal teen stuff until I had gotten a friend and grew very attached to them as if they were a family member. Note that we were friends for about a year before they first came to my house. The first time they came over they wanted to hang out in my room which I really felt uncomfortable with but I let them. Each time they came over I still felt uncomfortable. And now, a few years later, I have my own small living area and I would rather not let friends and family inside? I try to avoid them coming over at all costs, saying that I'd rather go to their place or somewhere else. But I was actually wondering if this feeling is called something? Or if it's a mental thing, if it has a name? |

He's tried ignoring them, and tried telling his parents and so on. And they won't stop. My way of handling that kind of thing as a kid was to just be horribly violent and start beating the **** out of people for almost no reason. And it worked. Very well. But that's not good advice to give to an anxious depressed little emo. I just don't think that'll be good for him. He says he tried to ignore them and they just sort of push him around and call him names, and they have tried their best to piss all over him basically. Him ignoring them just seems to make him a better target. He asks me for advice and I honestly just have nothing to say except, hope to be either faster or stronger than them, because it's not gonna get better by any means. Are there any parents out there who had a kid that was bullied and managed to fix it or a sibling or someone who actually was bullied? I have no experience in this honestly. He's not even my kid and I've tried harder to give him advice but I just have nothing. |

Once I become comfortable with someone I become more outgoing. I'm goofy. People find me kind of annoying. I want to change my image. I've always wanted to be more of an extrovert. I want people to get to know me, to actually LIKE me. I'm always "that annoying talkative kid in class" or that "shy kid". I want to be able to talk to more people without being shy or being afraid of what they think. I'm goofy because I'm so desperate to be liked that I feel like they like me when I make them laugh, even if it's AT me, and not WITH me. I don't want to change too much, but I want to be seen differently and be less shy. I know confidence is key but I don't know how to be confident. Everytime I try to in school, I crumble. Or I resort to my goofy ways because I'm not sure how to talk to anyone. Anyways, how can change how people see me? What's steps do I take? Thanks in advance! |

My guy best friend and I had planned to go since freshman year but he bailed on me to study for tests. My friend I was supposed to go with is having second thoughts. My other friend has a commitment on prom night, my other 2 friends just don't want to go and my closest friend moved to a different country and ironically is the only friend of mine who really wants to go aside from my friend who was very disappointed she couldn't go because of a commitment.
