Question: Friend trouble again.? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 05:07 PM PDT I've had some friend trouble in the past. I don't know if it's just me, or what. This girl just came over and gushed over my dog. I asked what she wanted to do, and said, "Castle!" So we went upstairs and I set up my castle stuff. She then picked her character, and to spice it up, I chose the opposite couple. So if she chose Beast, I chose Belle. She obviously hated that, but said it was fine when I asked if she wanted to switch. So we haven't even starting, and she said she was leaving to play with another friend. She straight up said to my face she was going to another persons house and not coming back. All of the questions I ask on here about friends always come back with, "ditch them, you don't deserve 'em." I'll end up having no friends at that rate. So, can I like... Repair friendships? Because this isn't the first time this has happened. She says she has to go home, and she goes to another persons home. Sometimes she doesn't even make up an excuse, like now. This is madness. I don't understand what I am doing. I asked if she wanted to trade, she said no, and left. How is that my fault??? *And it's not just games, too. Thanks |
Question: How do I tell my best friend? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 05:04 PM PDT so you won't get confused, I'm gonna name them. but for confidential reasons, I'm gonna change the names of the people. OK so I have 2 best friends Kayla & Ashley & Ashley has a boyfriend kyle who she's been dating for about a year now. long story short, Kayla told me that she slept with Kyle & what makes it worse is that Ashley had to go out of town to a funeral & apparently that is when it happened. tbh, I think it's happened more than once. anyway, I feel torn up inside. I don't know what to do because Ashley & I had a conversation one time (before she met Kyle) & said she doesn't know if she would want someone to tell her she got cheated on. but I just feel so bad for Ashley & I won't feel like a good friend if I don't tell her. what makes it worse is she's talking about losing her virginity to that jerk! please help me!!!!!!!!!! how do I tell her? |
Question: I gossiped for the first time in a VERY long time and feel terrible.? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 05:01 PM PDT I am 24 years old and currently go to a trade school. Im studying nursing and there are only 20 students in my class (all females). We have been in school now for about 7 months and it's obvious we are all getting so sick of each other because we are literally in each others faces for 6 hours every day. Well, theres a girl I used to be really good friends with when I started school, and I distanced myself from her because I can find her to be a bit annoying. I recently just started hanging out with new people who like to gossip, and I found myself joining in and I kinda started gossiping about her. (because they felt the same way I did, and I wanted some insight on how others felt about her to make sure it wasn't just me) It started off pretty innocent.. like "Yeah she can be a bit annoying" and then later it progressed to "Her and rebecka are so close, *hinting that they are lesbians* but just joking around) all because I was in the moment. I'm not sure why I even partake in this because like I said (I am not the gossiping type) I think we are all just fed up with school and cranky so it makes someone very negative I feel very bad about speaking her name behind her back and I feel pretty bad when she tries to talk to me because I feel like a fake person if I entertain it, So I just distance myself all together and its super awkward. Question: My life is slipping away.... :(? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 04:50 PM PDT I lost 2 BEST FRIENDS in the course of 5 years. I used to be so happy, so full of joy. I was so chatty, we used to all hang out in a big group and laugh, everyone liked eachother SInce I lost my recent best friend (we stopped talking) I've become kinda lonely and quiet... I don't hang out with my friends, I don't speak to them. Actually I don't speak to anyone. I went from someone who was silly and full of joy to being isolated. I hang out with no one at breaks, I'm by myself in the library on a computer. I don't know why it's turned out like this. I hate it |
Question: How to get into an already existing friends group? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 04:32 PM PDT I recently had a "best friend breakup" I found out that my best friend was talking about me and numerous people behind our backs. Not to mention she was very rude to me to my face. I left her and I know quite a lot of girls from this friends group at my school. They were nice and told me I could be a part of their group, but they don't invite me to any of their gatherings and they didn't invite me into any of their group chats. They seem to never really engage into conversation with me when I'm with them and it seems that they would be perfectly fine without me there. I tried to get close to certain members, but it seems like they forget I'm there when their other friends are there and sometimes they'll talk about a member of the group's crushes and then stop talking about it and tell me I don't know if she wants you to know. I have no idea how to get any closer to them, I don't know how to gain their trust AT ALL. They are literally my only hope since the school year is ending, they are very nice, I just have no idea how to get close to them to where they would put me in their group chats and invite me out. I'm really lonely and I wish I could be closer to them. I just need to know what to do, because they are my only friends and even I feel separated from them. |

Posted: 21 Mar 2017 03:56 PM PDT I know you shouldn't care what people think especially older, but Back then in highschool , my school was full of wannabe gangsters myself included. By wannabe gangsters I mean a lot of people dress like they were in gangs, but not actually in gangs and fight a lot. I never did anything past fighting, but back then I was known as a guy who always fight, and never back down even when they were bigger or a lot of them. I had people point guns at me multiple times, but never got shot at. A lot of people say I also look the part a lot also. And a good amount of girls were into me. now at 25, I see the same people from highschool every now and then. Especially the younger ones when I was a senior and they were freshman. Some of them joined real gangs. I changed my style now and I just work full time I'm not rich either. No one say I look gangster anymore. I go around with my girlfriend and When I see them, they talk to me, but it seem they lost a lot of respect for me. They do not disrespect me, but they gave me alook like I'm not what I used to be. I'm never gonna do that stupid thing again, however I still feel bad, because a lot of these guys use to think I was really cool in highschool. Is it weird to feel bad. This happens constantly that's why its began to creep in my mind. |

Question: Why would my son ask to go for a run on his own just out of the blue? Should I be worried? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 03:13 PM PDT He's never been the athlete/sporty type, though recently he asked to go for a run by himself just out of nowhere. He's 15, and I let him set up a Facebook page about a year ago. I'm just worried he met someone online and is trying to meet up with them. Is there really a cause for concern, or am I just being too overprotective? |

Question: Have you ever felt like someone secretly hates you? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 02:43 PM PDT In the past few years that I've been in college, I met this woman who later became my mentor. She knew that I wanted to go to Nursing school, and she'd give me testing advice and would encourage me to do my best in school. I volunteered at a club which allowed us to speak often, since she worked directly with the school. Recently I've felt that this woman's friendliness isn't genuine. The first time that I felt this way was when I had seen her in a cafeteria at the school. In the cafeteria, it had been a few months since we had seen each other since I no longer volunteered with the organization, and no longer lived on campus. When I approached her, she said her usual hello. At the time she was talking to a group of other students, so I knew that she was busy, but she hadn't offered her usual hugs & although I hadn't expected her to move away from the group just to talk to me, our conversation was very brief and I eventually awkwardly said I was going to go to the fountain drinks section to casually walk away. Fast forward to today, I visited the organization. Today, when I was able to see the woman, she was heading out of her office at the same time. She told me that she was about to leave and that we both could walk out together, in which we did. We caught up and she learned that I did make it into nursing school. When we were outside of the building, she put her sunglasses on as we chatted about my one day returning to live on campus again. Fast forward to today, I visited the organization. She smiled the whole time and hugged me once, but I felt weird the whole time, as though we aren't quite in the same stance we once were. I am bad a visiting and letting time pass time, but this time, I really did try to reconnect with someone, and I didn't leave feeling that the person was glad to see me. Has anyone felt this way with someone who smiled at them, but didn't feel as though you were friends? |
Question: Does this make me the weakest man on earth does this make me weak in general? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 02:37 PM PDT To be honest I can't stand up for myself I know I said this a billion times but it's the truth I can't stand up to anyone. I'm 6'3 and 227 pounds I am not tough im weak both mentally and physically. I can't stand up to anyone I'm the weakest man you'll ever meet. It's always been this way since I was a little kid. This is why I don't want any friends I don't even want one friend. Don't have friends don't want any. So does this make me weak?? Am I the weakest man??? Just because I'm 6 foot 3 and 227 pounds does not mean I'm strong I'm weak mentally and physically. |

Posted: 21 Mar 2017 01:23 PM PDT I'm 23 & an actor based out of NYC. I get just enough roles (broadway & indie movies) to keep at it, but not enough to think I'm going to really make. My biggest role was in a 2014 movie Fort Tilden that won a lot of indie awards & sold relatively well. The two leads are millenial girls on a desparate trip to find boys & happiness. At one point they show up uninvited for a beach trip 2 boys are going on, when they arrive the boys are already there with two girls. I'm one of those "other" girls and am in the scene for 10 minutes. Part of the point of the scene is how awkward it is for the lead girls to be surprised by us, and we are also topless throughout the scene (its a topless beach). The movie did well enough, and my scene was large enough, that its often gotten me auditions and even parts. My sister, in an attempt to convince me to quit acting, swears up & down I only got the role because i have large breasts, she used that claim to demean everything I've ever done. But I don't think its true. The scene did require nudity but (1) I was always fully clothed for the auditions (2) the other girl they cast had fairly small breasts & (3) none of the roles its led to me getting auditions for have included nudity. Her claim is really eating at me.What if it IS true? My biggest role, that gives me the most hope? Its not something I can really ask my agent (and expect a straight answer). I keep watching the scene over & over. I just don't know what to think. Thoughts? |

Posted: 21 Mar 2017 11:35 AM PDT A month ago I stopped being friends at all with this girl because she was apparently my 'best' friend and went about telling people about how my siblings and I disrespect each other, how I don't value her friendship, how she tries so hard and I don't. how she spent more than my other friends on my birthday (which was an absolute lie, they kept it private and didn't want to brag they had so much more) and how I am rude and have an attitude problem and need help because of anger issues. Yesterday before all my classmates she came up to me and said hey you can give me my stuff back tomorrow yeah? And she waited outside my classroom today. I didn't want a fight to occur so I went away. I will return her stuff but I feel I will cry so badly because it hurts so much. PS , we are both in sixth form and eighteen |

Question: Does EVERYONE know a person that talks crap about them? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 09:35 AM PDT I always have avoided things out of fear of running into a nasty person. I have always had issues with other girls being jealous of me. I'm just a regular girl, believe me. But I just seem to attract this type of person. I feel like I'm always avoiding any event or place that I'm afraid I'll run into them at. And my career depends on me going to certain functions. I never do. I want to. Question: My friend says that she isn't comfortable around me. please help.? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 09:20 AM PDT I have a bad temper and on a car ride to a frisbee tournament while i was driving i yelled at my friend Morgan who was really irritating me. so i didn't yell anymore, i was quiet the rest of the car ride and she cried. I'm the type of person who doesn't stay mad long or hold grudges so i was over it fairly quickly. i found out a day ago through one of our mutual friends, Maggie, that Morgan doesn't feel comfortable around me anymore. I tried to talk with Morgan about it today after our class but she was cold and walked away from me. I really want to apologize and make things better but with the way she's acting towards me it doesn't feel like i can make things better. I know it's my fault and that i should contain my anger better but i don't want that one little slip up to end our friendship. so please, if anyone can help or offer any advice that would be great. Thank you in advance. |
Question: How do I look [I'm a guy]? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 08:57 AM PDT I have low self-esteem, and I've never been comfortable with how I look. https://postimg.org/image/iek9kfxyd/ |
Posted: 21 Mar 2017 08:41 AM PDT I'm 24 and I have issues making girl friends. Either females ignore/snub me or they are polite, but not interested. Yet it's only the weird older men at my old male dominated job (where I resigned from) who were interested in making friend with me. I didn't want to be friends with them because I felt they had little to nothing in common with me and I hated how they would talk to the women working there. It's one guy there I don't want to be friends with anymore because of how he acts around some women (he's also a MARRIED man with kids). In common scenarios, people will say that you're the common denominator if you can't make friends with your own gender and you only attract people you don't want. I feel that I am the common denominator because of my terrible social skills & my boring personality, & the way I carry myself. I desperately want to change this about myself because I feel it a huge problem because how you carry yourself will attract certain people. I feel that if I don't have a few girl friends, who is going to be my bridesmaids for my future wedding? Who will I have constant Girls Night Outs with? Who will I confide in if I have women-related problems? Who will I share my favorite interests/hobbies with? |

Question: What to do about a racist friend? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 05:25 AM PDT I recently started grad school, so I've been making a lot of new friends in my department. One friend, we'll call her Sally, is not shy about making racist jokes. She is a super nice person and is always ready to help anyone, which is why it is so confusing that she makes these remarks sometimes. She isn't even shy about them. It always catches me off guard and I never know what to say, usually I just stare blankly at her. I recently started grad school, so I've been making a lot of new friends in my department. One of my coworkers (we are also language TAs, Sally teaches a different language than us) is from Kenya. He is a super nice guy and does not like conflict, so he never tells her that her remarks are not cool. She thinks since he's okay with these comments that that makes them okay, even though everyone else is fairly vocal about them not being cool. Some remarks that she has said are: At a party I was "smacking" my dog playfully, and someone said "stop, you're hurting him" to which Sally responded "she can treat him that way because he's black" One time our kenyan coworker remarked at a party that Sally was kinda hot. I jokingly told her about his drunk remark later and she said "it's because he's black, it's my ***" These are not the only times she's said things like this Some remarks that she has said are: At a party I was "smacking" my dog playfully, and someone said "stop, you're hurting him" to which Sally responded "she can treat him that way because he's black" One time our kenyan coworker remarked at a party that Sally was kinda hot. She brought it up to me the other day saying "I was texting (kenyan friend) and he was saying it's okay so" I dunno how to tell her that her remarks are not okay and that just because the one black person in our department won't say anything doesn't make it alright. She's a really good friend but it's getting kinda ridiculous. One of my roommates recently called her out in a group chat because she made yet another racist remark about our kenyan friend. Question: Why am I so different from kids my age? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 02:41 AM PDT Being different from other kids my age is actually really hard. Even sometimes my closest friends don t understand me. For example, I hate this app called musical.ly and all of the kids from my school are obsessed with it. I also have a very different music taste. For example, other kids like Jojo Siwa or Jacob Sartorius while I really can t stand them (I prefer the Beatles). I sometimes hate the fact that I m different from the others. |
Question: Can anyone give me helpful advice how move on permanently? What kind of person is she? Posted: 21 Mar 2017 12:21 AM PDT My friend for two years said she want to focus on herself and get her life together. I understand and me too. She stop contacted me and stopped seeing me. I texted her often and call to hang out. She ignores it and out the blue she stopped being friends with me. I accepted it, but a bestfriend of hers said my friend never liked me and thought badly of me. It took me awhile to get over it. There were signs she never liked me anyways, except I didn t consider it before. |

Question: Will I miss out in college? Posted: 20 Mar 2017 11:09 PM PDT Just been having a tough time for my first semester. Last week I had a sleepover with old buds back home and just felt depressed hearing them having fun going to parties and ****. I haven t been to any yet and one of my friends is in a fraternity and he is like talking all about his good **** and like when we were driving around he was practicing sings his frat was going to sing for this sorotity. I mean maybe I have saltiness towards my friend but just like everything is going good for them but me. I mean I don t even consider them great friends and I am a loner in life anyway. I am trying my best to focus on school, and have been lifting for 3 months and playing basketball. I just feel my college life will suck and I mean I most likely will transfer to CC next year or school near home because I go home most weekends. |
Question: Is it okay to give a cutter band aids and neosporin? Posted: 20 Mar 2017 11:06 PM PDT I have a friend that lives across the country that is a cutter. I know I can t help him because he needs professional care. I want to send him some neosporin and band aids for his rough days. I obviously don t want him to keep cutting but I can t stop it. If he s going to do it, I don t want him to get an infection. Is this sending the wrong message? I don t want to be an enabler. Is this a bad idea? |

Posted: 20 Mar 2017 10:46 PM PDT Okay so you know how the new thing on snapchat is "quick adds"? I have a friend on my account, I don t want him to pop up on my moms account under quick adds since they both have me (and only me) as a mutual friend. If he blocks her, will he pop up under mutual friends?! Thank you! |
Question: Ayuda, ¿Le gusto a ese chico?:(.? Ayuda:(. |
Posted: 20 Mar 2017 09:44 PM PDT Ok so tomorrow is our senior ditch day so all seniors was in a group chat on Facebook discussing the plans for tomorrow. My best friend made a response asking for a ride to get there and it's like half the group chat was making fun of it . I'm going to mention we are humble and we don't really socialize with half our classmates but we've decided to at least go to this to only create some kind of memory for our senior year . But also I have a bad feeling if we go their going to only make us out to be a big joke for showing up because they didn't expect us to go. One of our classmates offered us a ride but I just don't think it's genuine i mean honestly the girl never even talked to us like that before until now , if you were in our predicament would you go? Why or why not ?? No rude or negative comments please !!! Serious answers only thanks !! |
