Question: Girlfriend wants 30k ring? Posted: 29 Mar 2017 12:37 PM PDT Girlfriend wants effectively 30k ring. She is willing to compromise some things about it, but still minimum likely 25-27k. I make 60k a year, and feel the amount she wants is still too much. I am 15k in debt and spending money on the ring would deplete pretty much all my savings. Not only that, but a 7-10k wedding band is likely, not to mention a wedding that will likely cost 60k. My girlfriend also makes 60k, but she has 40k in debt. What should I do?? |

Question: When is the right time to propose for marriage? Posted: 24 Mar 2017 02:15 PM PDT After how long into a relationship or after what stage its considered appropriate to ask ? Can asking too soon risk getting a no ? In my case, i did meet a wonderful woman, and im obviously eager to ask her but we havent dated or know each other that much. We met in church and talked on a few occassions. She doesnt date or dated anyone; marriage only. I know she comes from a very good family and i used to work with her older sister and she was an awesome person but back then she was married. How should i proceed ? Im 42 and she is 36 ( both never married ). She takes care of her parents all day at home alone. |
