| Posted: 09 Mar 2017 01:53 PM PST My best friend is absolutely gorgeous, growing up, we were both thin, but she was always the more in shape one. Now, the tables have turned, I am into working out and eating healthy and have gotten in shape whereas she has let herself go. She is getting married in 6 months and I am her maid of honor, however I feel like I am going to outshine her on her wedding day which I do not want. She complains all the time that she feels fat and hates her body but when I try to help her, she seems completely disinterested and doesn't put any effort into changing. I want her to be happy on her wedding day and to feel as beautiful as possible, but I know that won't be the case with the way she is now and I know she will hate her wedding photos (She hates all of her engagement photos because of her weight). How do I convince her to make a change for her own benefit? Please understand that I love my best friend more than anything in the world and want the absolute best for her, this may seem like a rude question, but I promise, this isn't a selfish question and/or meant to be offensive. | Question: Is it acceptable to not do a wedding reception? Posted: 08 Mar 2017 02:11 PM PST People will think I'm cheap. My girlfriend will not like it. I just don't know what's the point of a wedding reception? I worked hard for 2 years just to please people!! |
