Question: How do I deal with someone moving, but I don't want to keep in contact with them? Posted: 11 Mar 2017 05:23 PM PST This question is more complicated than it seems. This woman used to be one of my closest friends, but when I look back, all she's done is negative things to me. She has talked behind my back numerous times and started rumors about me. Now she tells me I've made her almost commit suicide, and I've made her cut, but to others and myself, I haven't done anything. She's moving away and she wants to keep in contact with me, but I don't feel the same way. I wish to cut off contact with her and I feel bad because I am her only friend. If I do however cut off contact, I am afraid I will make her do worse things besides cutting. She says she will come visit me and come to see me and she knows where my house is. I don't want to have her in my life anymore, but I'm confused on what to do. Keep in mind, if I've made her cut and I wish to not keep in contact with her anymore, this would benefit her, too. Please help me.
Question: I'm depressed about graduating high school, should I be? Posted: 11 Mar 2017 05:04 PM PST I'm graduating this year and it's very depressing to the point I cry almost daily thinking about it. Because when I do graduate it's such a big change and I won't be able to see my friends and everybody else. Now I do think that its for the better though because its a fresh start at life and I won't be seeing people who I dont want to because there are plenty of those people in my class that I won't be seeing anymore. But I still wont be seeing my friends in my class (Who I will still keep in my life) and friends who are in grades under me. Which honestly makes it even more depressing because I'll be leaving but they're staying a little longer and that makes me even more sad. Will graduating be a good thing that I'll imbrace or will I always envy the days I was there and want to go back
| Question: I'm feeling depressed about graduating high school, should I be? | Posted: 11 Mar 2017 03:51 PM PST Yesterday I showed my husband my phone and he snatched it from my hand to look at my pictures and I told him he didn t have the right. He fought me and eventually hit my lip with the phone to the point where it bled a little. We have a 6 year old together. I have no friends ( my friendships never seem to last) also my family leave overseas. I m practically alone with him. My good friend who was elderly passed away. We live in her apt. Husband wont leave because he has it easy and doesn t pay rent. I want better for my child. What should I do when I m stuck in a country alone? |
| Posted: 11 Mar 2017 03:51 PM PST I've met a lot of good people on the internet from gaming, and I have one friend who is really cool. We hang out a lot, and never had any issues. Daily we would play 2-3 games, and then just talk for a while. One day, I was streaming Minecraft with her. We were doing fine, and helping each other out. Suddenly her mom came onto the mic in our Skype call. She asked me how old I was, I said I was turning 15 in a couple days. She then proceeded to mumble, and then told me to 'never talk to her daughter again.' I was really confused, and I asked "What?". She just hung up on the call. The next day, me and my friend were hanging out again. I asked her what was going on all of a sudden. She told me that her mom is a bit 'crazy'. She constantly yells at her about little things, and always starts fights with her. I know my friend is innocent, I know her very well. She's just like many other gamers. Pretty nice to everyone, a little cheesy trash talking. She isn't like the "Cash me outside" type of people. I asked what her mom did to her after the previous call. I was told that she Punched her in the eye. I was really worried about her. I used to live with my mom too. She was an alcoholic, and would usually never take care of us. (Back to the hanging out part:) We decided to hang out with other friends on skype, and play an online game. For a few hours we were good, and then about 4-5 hours later she told us "she had to go." | Posted: 11 Mar 2017 03:19 PM PST I'm 14, male and she's 17. I'm really kind of weak and pathetic because i just got over being severely sick for about two years and have like no weight and muscle honestly. She bullies me verbally and physically. She pushed me over yesterday while our parents were out and stepped on my back and really hurt me. My back still hurts really badly. She punches me in the arms and stomach a lot and has nearly made me vomit almost every time she hits me in the stomach. She calls me names and insults me all the time. She calls me gay slurs and stuff and insults me for having no friends because again I was sick for like two years and spent a year in a hospital basically and haven't been in school in a while. She also breaks my stuff if I upset her. I'm a huge fan of Undertale and I made myself a Sans plush which took so long to make and she cut big holes in it. She's thrown out my drawings and stuff too. My parents flat out don't believe me because she doesn't do anything around them. She says I'm lying so then I get in trouble. When she ruined my Sans, I was actually almost crying and she said she didn't do it and that I was trying to get her in trouble so I got grounded! I don't know what to do but I just wanna be left alone. I want my stuff to be left alone. She's right that I don't have any friends and she ruins the only things I have that keep me company and make me happy. I don't wanna keep dealing with this. What can I do? What would you do? I've tried hard to talk to someone. |
Question: Should I ditch this friend of mine if he makes me feel bad? Posted: 11 Mar 2017 03:11 PM PST So I have a friend named matt and he constantly ridicules and criiticizes me for being 26 and not having a drivers license. I have tried passing the permit test many times and kept on failing it. I have a learning disability and can't remember stuff that I read. He criticized me the other day when he called me and said that I am not trying hard enough and said that I have been trying for years. He says he thinks that I am lazy and not trying hard enough. I am so sick and tired of him doing this because he is just bringing me down. Should I ditch him if all he ever does is make me feel bad about myself ?
Question: What would you have done if they asked? Posted: 11 Mar 2017 03:01 PM PST I live off the main highway in Murphys, CA. We only have Kim and her husband on the property who we are close friends with. They have a newborn while also Stefanie who is seven. The baby was sleeping on Sunday when Stefanie had misbehaved. Kimberly called us to ask if we would be bothered if her Husband gave Stefanie a spanking outside in their patio room cause the baby was in his crib sleeping. I told them no problem and we would not look over. Did I make a mistake?? Should I have told them no that should be done in your house? My Sister was over visiting and she could not resist being nosy looking out our kitchen window. Dave then appeared in the room with Stefanie who before sitting with his daughter flat over his lap. He lifted her short dress she wore to church. I turned away when I seen Dave begin to spank Stefanie on her white underpants for a few long minutes. My sister was surprised that they gave a spanking out on the patio the same as if Daddy was in the house with the drapes closed Should I have told them no to instead do it in the house? What harm was there...just don't look right?

Question: I'm avoiding my friend and I don't know why? Posted: 11 Mar 2017 02:43 PM PST She's an amazing person, we get really well along and I don't think she's annoying or anything. Somehow I just find myself ignoring her texts and coming up with excuses to not call her. She lives a few towns over so we don't really see eachother every day either, which sucks. I love her a lot, so why do I feel like not talking to her? I feel like such a horrible friend, she's so nice but I rarely show any affection back.

Question: Can we still make the friendship work? Posted: 11 Mar 2017 01:13 PM PST Im a guy, and the only true friend I ever had was a girl. we helped each other with Money, work and school..... But almost 4 weeks ago we had an argument and I softly held her because she was leaving without letting me talk... she later told me she was abused in the past and she said I crossed the line when I touched her. she blocked me from everything, Soo I sent her a heartfelt apology to her house with flowers. Later that week police came to my house that I need to just leave her alone because she's had enough. ( She did not tell police I touched her) but I cant stop thinking about the situation, would she ever talk to me when she cools down?? It's been 4 weeks and I miss her like crazy. I know I was wrong but can I get advice please.

Question: Why do girls think this is funny ? Posted: 11 Mar 2017 12:54 PM PST I saw a post from one of my friends on FB that was telling girls not to post that they're pregnant on April Fools day if they do they'll get deleted wether they're her family or friends. I have that problem every year too. I don't get why anyone would think that's funny. They should do it by themselves at home with family and friends not post it on social media for the world to see. One of my friends did that last year I couldn't decide to unfriend her or not I decided to let it go because she is my best friend. Why do girls do this and think it's funny ?
Question: Surprise birthday party + introvert = not good. what do i do? Posted: 11 Mar 2017 12:49 PM PST so my mom SUCKS at being discreet and i found out she's throwing me a birthday party tomorrow and i know most people will be like "oh at least she's being nice and thinking about you be grateful" well... no. that's not really the case, she's NOT a good mom, i think she's just doing this for herself so she gets the OH WHAT A NICE CARING MOM reaction from people but if she cared about me, she wouldn't be putting me in such an uncomfortable situation. just yesterday she was treating me like a piece of trash and all of the sudden she's throwing me a party! she's AWARE i am NOT too fond of social gatherings and basically anything that has to do with being social since i get really bad anxiety around people yet she still does this. i really just wanted to stay home and maybe go out and eat somewhere JUST with my close family members but no, now i'm being forced to be around a bunch of people i don't care about to receive fake "happy birthday's" and deal with crippling anxiety. i'm literally SICK right now with the flu and just want to sleep and she didn't take that into consideration. anyways, i'm not really sure what answer i'm looking for but can someone please tell me what to do? i'm not rude enough to just tell her to cancel it cause i KNOW it will not end well and i'll get yelled at for not being "normal" or whatever so pleeeease can someone tell me what to do and how to not die tomorrrow around so many people? thanks in advanceeeeee
Question: I don't have that same love toward my mom anymore? Posted: 11 Mar 2017 12:24 PM PST So I don't know if this is normal or not, it's probably a desire to leave the nest, I'm not sure. I just turned 18 a month ago, and for some reason lately I really don't wanna be under the same roof with my mom anymore. I've always adored both my parents, but my mom in particular cause we're both women so we understand each other. She's always been my best friend, my rock. And I don't understand why I'm feeling like this now toward her. I feel grown up now and I immensely feel that desire to find my place and explore the world now..I feel like I don't need her anymore. I live in an apartment and I feel so trapped here cause it's so small. I get lectured a lot by her, that's really annoying. But to be brief I don't love my mom anymore that way. I know this is a big transitional period for me, it's probably that but I don't know what to do! We still have a great relationship but I have this dislike toward her now. Why am I feeling like this?

Question: I'm having a bad day so far? Posted: 11 Mar 2017 12:17 PM PST Ill run you through my day so far. I wake up and go to saturday track practice. We finish practice and go home. My friend invites me and another friend to his house (we all live in the same neighborhood). We hang out for a bit but then we go to that other friends house, and this is when it starts to go downhill. After staying there for a bit, he blames me for doing something that wasn't my fault and tells me to get the f*ck out of his house. I argue with him back and forth, and eventually things get heated and I ended up knocking things over off of his table, slap his phone out of his hand, and storm out of his house with his shoe which I tossed into the road (no his parents weren't home). I come home already pissed off but at the same time feeling bad for how far i took it (anger and guilt, two great emotions wouldn't you agree). then just about half an hour later i find out one of my best friends is moving. And this is just my day so far. i have a ways to go before the day ends and all i can do is hope that it doesn't go downhill any further than it already has. anyways i just wanted to get this off my chest because its been killing me. Thanks if you read all of this

Question: How to deal with bullies? Posted: 11 Mar 2017 12:05 AM PST Read: So there are these two quite popular and funny people in my form, who my best friend has recently become best friends with. However, she is literally to blind to notice they are bullying me and there is nothing I can do about it. Everyday they exclude me from their coversations, talk about times they met up without me etc when I'm there. Especially when my friend isn't there, they make rude and unnecessary comments like: (A group of people was having a conversation about school uniform prices) Me - " I know, and I think the jumpers are getting more expensive" The other person "Oh you can't complain, your grandparents are doctors" The only time they ever speak to me without making a horrid comment is when they ask to copy my homework...
Posted: 10 Mar 2017 11:51 PM PST Girl I'm very close to is ignoring me for day or so now and I have no idea why. I sent her recorded Snapchat showing her something in the store and thrn she asked who was them girls talking and I responded my friends and she's blanking me since. The female friend was talking about friendship bracelets or along the lines and I was laughing at the idea
Question: Should I ditch my friend? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 11:46 PM PST Yes: She is very competitive, yet never works hard at anything. The only thing she is better than me at is art, and she mocks me constantly about it. She always copies my homework, never says thanks. She has become best friends with two other people, both of whom hate me (because I work hard and then my friend won't shut up about how much I wrote/ what mark I got etc, so they think I'm a show off - I never ever talk about tests, its my friend...) She hasn't noticed that her new best friends are literally bullying me No: I'm not sure I would have any other friends I could try to talk to her? I don't want to start an argument When it is just us, outside of school, we get on extremely well It feels too late now

Question: Letting go of old friends? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 11:31 PM PST I'm about to finish my second year of college, and I still managed to keep in touch with certain people from highschool. But I feel so uncomfortable around them now, I feel like highschool relationships should just be that. We're all completely different, and I'm more of an outcast compared to them. Is it wrong to feel this way? I think they're great people, and I wish them the best and for them to have a happy successful life, but I think it's time I disconnect from them for good. Does this sound cruel?

Question: High school changed my old best friends? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 10:13 PM PST I am a 16 yr old girl in high school. I was best friends with three girls since we were babies and our parents are friends, too. I did EVERYTHING with these girls, they were basically my sisters, we were so extremely close. But as soon as we got into high school, they all changed and became so rude towards me. They think they are sooo cool, like they're too cool to be my friend, because I'm a shy person. They walk past me like I'm not even there when I KNOW they see me. They try to avoid eye contact. They never text me anymore or anything. And they completely ignore me at family-friend events. (like i said, our parents are also friends). I don't understand, we grew up together and were so close but they just treat me so badly now like it's nothing. I'm sick of them thinking they are so much better than me, ever since we got to high school. I did nothing to them. How can I deal with this?

Question: At what age do teens start to lose their innocence? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 09:29 PM PST It's kind of a weird question but I feel like everyday I hear more about the stuff people my age do. I'm 15 (sophomore in hs, I don't turn 16 until June). I listen to some of the stuff kids do; some drink a lot, some are reaching the bases, and one even gave birth. It's all kind of happening so suddenly. Nothing happened last year. It's strange to see the mix of people I go to school with everyday. There's kids like me who haven't done the slightest thing that would be considered scandalous and there's also kids who have had sex. Idk if 16 is normal to start, or if it's too early/late. I know I don't want to do any of that (I wouldn't have the choice even if I wanted to 😂) It's usually nice to ask people who have been through it though; people who can view it in a wider perspective. It's still strange for me.. I see people differently now.
Question: How to get over pain of friends "forgetfulness" and apathy about moms cancer.? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 09:22 PM PST I used to be best friends with a girl from high school and we had a fight in October of 2014 and our relationship never recovered. But we still reach out on birthdays and care a little bit for each other. My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and I had told this girl a few weeks ago. Tonight I saw her at a party and we barely talked and she didn't ask me at ALL about my mom. When I was leaving (I left early) I said "my mom had chemo today" - which she did. This girl look mortified that she didn't ask how my mom is doing. Should I expect an apology tomorrow, and if she doesn't reach out to me soon should I assume the friendship is completed done and she doesn't care?

Question: How can I help my friend feel better ? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 07:54 PM PST My friend is having a baby in August she's scared because her boyfriend made her watch a movie about Charles Manson it's his favorite movie lucky for her she said her due date is right right around the same time as the murders. She doesn't know what she's gonna do that night she doesn't know if she's gonna be able to sleep or not. She knows that Manson and all of them are in jail that's been over 50 years ago but there are people out there who could do that. She said her due date is any time between August 8-12. She's really freaked out. She's been having nightmares for days. She's mad at her boyfriend for letting her watch that. I think they're too young to be watching that stuff. She's only 16 he's 17. I don't even know why anyone would own a movie about Manson but I guess he's a big fan. She said she got really upset when the actress was begging them to let her live to have her baby then they started stabbing her. Even though she doesn't know who she was she thought she was really pretty she didn't deserve that. She's not very happy with her boyfriend right now. When she read the whole story she was very upset. She doesn't want to talk about it with him. She can't stay mad at him forever she's crazy about him they've been friends for a long time. I know she'll forgive him sooner or later but she's still upset. How can I help her feel better ?

Question: I'm ready to give up on this friendship? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 07:50 PM PST So I've been friends with this girl for about 6 months or so. Everything was going great until one of her sister's friends claimed to hear me disrespect my friend's name, ofcourse her sister told her. Her sister then accuses me of the act, I try to tell her that it's not true, but she won't buy it and now my friend doesn't trust me, should I just give up on this friendship?
Question: Male coworker looks at me from a distance, but he avoids me. Why? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 07:20 PM PST We used to talk a lot, I thought we were friends and got along pretty well. All of sudden, he began to avoid me, acted very mean, and walked away if I was near by. I thought, well he hates me now. But, I noticed that he looked at me from a distance a few times, it's almost like a stare (for several seconds at least), I'm not sure if he knew I saw him looking at me, that made me quite uncomfortable, so I looked away. I'm confused, he seems trying so hard to not be close to me, work with me. What is this?
Question: What do I do about my friends? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 07:10 PM PST I feel like I have nothing in common with my friends. They all listen to Panic! at the disco and Twenty øne pilots, I listen to rap and pop. They watch Dan and Phil on youtube, I watch The Gabbie Show, Liza and David, Shane etc. They read books and I find reading to be boring and tiring. They watch kids TV shows and I watch criminal minds. They all talk about the same things that they mutually like. When they try to talk to be about something they like I just nod my hear and say, "Mmhmm" I never get to talk about the things I m interested in because they don t care. I feel like I have to play a character and be someone I'm not around them. Should I try and find new friends to hang out with or just stick with these people because I ve known them the longest?
Question: Is my friend avoiding paying me back? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 06:18 PM PST I let my friend borrow $70 in December. He says that he is going to pay me back with his tax return, but today he wrote me saying that Jackson Hewitt has his check at their office and now that he moved to another state he is having trouble getting it. He said they were suppose to file it as a direct deposit but made it into a "printed check" return. I never heard of that method of a tax refund. My gut is telling me that he is not planning to pay me back. Has anyone heard of this method of tax refunds??
Question: Do some intelligent people seem naive or childish? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 05:58 PM PST There is a very intelligent, but introverted girl in my class. She has straight A's and made the highest scores on the state tests in the district. Still, she's, ehh, socially-awkward around most people but is really pleasant to "hang out" with. She rarely ever talks yet is always smiling for some reason. Like she literally has a huge grin or a "cheeky smile" on her face 24/7. Her cheeks are always red, too. Even though she doesn't usually approach people, I can tell that she's playful. She'll do random things to get people's attention, like poke them or laugh when they make a mistake. When they seem mad, she just giggles more. And she kinda acts naive like she's a little kid even though she's 14. For example, the bad kids asked to copy her test and she just sat there although she could clearly hear them. Or this one boy(he's bad) tried talking to her and she was friendly to him even though my friend told her, "Don't hang around with him; he'll get you in trouble." Like, if you just saw her behave normally, you would never think,"Wow, she's really smart!" Maybe you can tell by how quiet and intent she is but if you see her acting silly with others, you would never guess. They all call her very "weird" for laughing at them or touching them. But she's cool. She acts like a little kid who has no clue how to hang around people. You usually think smart people are cold and arrogant(they only worry about themselves and don't show emotions), but she's not like that at all.
Posted: 10 Mar 2017 05:01 PM PST We were friends in 11th grade and he teased me that I liked a mutual friend even though he knew that I didn't. All of a sudden in 12th grade, I think my friend told him that I like him (not sure) and he just looking at me everyday in the hallways. His best friend also looks at me too. He is shy but when I look at him, he doesn't smile but he doesnt look away either. Is he physically attracted to me or are there feelings

Question: Embarrassed myself on the bus? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 03:25 PM PST On the bus today, Summer urged me to tell Rhiley who I liked. I agreed eventually, meaning to say "Ricky". I accidently said, "Rhiley" and he said, "YUCK". I lied and said I meant Rhiley from my old school who played baseball. We seemed fine after that. Do you think he believes I meant him? I am FOURTEEN
Question: What should I do about my friends? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 02:59 PM PST Sorry about asking another question like this. One of my friends started hanging out with this group of incredibly school intelligent guys but not so intelligent in kindness and social interaction. Her personality has changed because of being with them. She has started insulting people more and being manipulative more. I really don't like it. On top of that, my other friend has been hanging out with the first friend more (I'll call them friend 1 and friend 2). Friend 2 has even started to act like that! She's being really insulting about people (that even though I don't like them either) I think she's being overly horrible to them. On top of that, she is dating one of the guys from that group that changed friend 1. ( if you refer back to my previous question, yes she is dating the guy I like and I know he's a jerk that's why I'm trying to stop liking him). I don't want her to date him. Not because I like him, but because I don't want her to become even more horrible! She even insulted one of her and my best friends and almost made her cry. Please help me! I still love my friends and I want the way they were before to come back!

Posted: 10 Mar 2017 02:38 PM PST I'll start by saying that I'm naturally shy and anxious, and I've always felt a little insecure socially. I'm a senior in high school, and over the past several years, I've developed a group of three very close friends (we're practically siblings). Recently, however, these friends started hanging out with a larger group of people. While I'm friendly acquaintances with a lot of the people in that group, I'm not totally comfortable around them, largely because they're into things that I'm not into (I'm a bit of a nerdy rule-following type, while a lot of the people in that group are super into weed). In fear of, frankly, losing all of my friends, I've made an effort to hang out with the new group, especially when any of my three close friends are there. However, when none of my three close friends are there, I feel out of place around the new group and become super quite and uncomfortable. We're all in a group chat together, so technically I'm invited to all group hangouts. However, I'm often too nervous to go. I guess I'm looking for advice about how to better mesh with this new group, and how to be less nervous and quite around them. Thanks for the help :)

Question: How to ask my friends to stop talking about gross stuff? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 02:17 PM PST My friend group is alright, I like everyone, but I mean sometimes the conversations are a little personal and it gets me really uncomfortable and they'll say stuff like "my vagina smells so bad" and they all laugh, or something along the lines of that. I get it it's human but I really don't like it and I've expressed that to them and they don't even acknowledge it. It's not the vagina part but the "oh it's smells, that's so funny" part that I don't like, because yes, that's human and natural but I don't particularly want to hear about it while I'm trying to eat my lunch. And theyre is this overweight (I'm pointing this out because it has to do with the rest of the story) girl in my class who has little friends and I don't bother her, she's nice and I'll talk to her if she inatiants conversation because I'm not good at that in general but they'll always pick on her behind her back even though they have never once talked to her so ? But they will say "imagine shoving your face up ______ vagina flabs" and laugh and I'm really uncomfortable. And also they'll be like "ooo I can smell my fish flabs, can you?" So I'll say no and they'll say something like "want to?" As a joke. And I'm saying they but I obviously mean different people say these things. And I don't want to end the friendship because it's not worth that but how do I express how uncomfortable it makes me feel? Thanks in advance
