Whilst it hasn't affected our relationship at all, we find it annoying how we will spend at most seven-to-eight hours (give or take) together during the week - sometimes we'll not see each other for two weeks. We do text everyday and would play Destiny together on the PS4, but it's knowing we're so far away that makes it harder for me. It's to the point that my dad would ask me (and her mum would ask her) if it annoys us that we don't see each other as often as we did, so obviously are parents probably notice it. What's the best way to deal with missing her? |

It's funny because my best friend has a new crush every other week, and I can see the love sickness in her eyes.. heck, she even had a crush on me once too. She's had a crush on everything. Yet I, just lost all trace of love sickness after High school. Since first grade, I had childhood crushes on both real kids and cartoon kids. Then in middle school I had deep crushes on fictional boys (but never celebrities) and 2 real boys (1 of which had secretly liked me back), but I never got into any relationships. Then in High school, my "crushes" wouldn't last quite as long, and I'd shift from anime boys to classmates, etc. But on my very last year of High school (right after I broke up with someone who really loved me but I could not return the feelings) I "fell in love" at first sight with a freshman and tried to talk to him throughout the entire school year. In the end, both of us were too shy to move forward, and I lost contact with him after graduation. At times I really felt like I loved him in a way that I've never felt before, but after a long time, I stopped thinking about him, and now I don't even remember his face. 2 years later, I've never felt any lust/crush/feelings for anyone. Guys hit on me all the time in the streets (or try to get my number), and different people have felt crushes or interest in going on dates with me, but, as much as I try, I don't feel the same way towards them. I feel empty, like I'm missing something that everyone else has. I love my family and friends, and would do anything for them, but this "love" thing between partners is something I haven't felt in a long time no matter how hard I try. Even when I try to picture the "ideal person" in my head, my heart doesn't skip a beat. I don't feel anything. Is this a phase? I've rejected so many people that I used to think it was because they weren't my "types", but now even thinking about my "supposed types" doesn't make me feel any type of way. At the same time, I feel the urge and desire to have feelings for someone, but I don't know if I'll ever find that person soon. forgot to mention that I also have never felt any way for a fictional character since. That one vanished too, and very quickly. |

I dont know how the heck they get my number. She was younger than me, maybe around 9-12 yrs old. I think maybe with her friend. When i got the phone, (i forgot the first we talk) she asked me what's my name, luckily she didnt catch my name i can tell because my name is so different and hard for english people to say. I asked her where she was, she said she was in montreal. I think it was cool, at the same time creepy. She ask my name again i said i can't tell. She was ok with it but said nothing me i feel her. (I forgot something else we said) when she said bye. I panicked and said "don't-a call again" with 'a' in it and try not to sound mean. She said ok. He's a really nice guy; he's incredibly loyal, he's patient with me and my issues, and he is in fact probably my closest friend. I don't get close to many people and try to keep everyone at arm's length, but he somehow managed to get close and I'm glad he did. He means the world to me. I recently broke up with my boyfriend and he jokingly had commented that now he has another chance to date me. I genuinely didn't think a thing of it like an idiot. Today, though, he texted me. And asked me out. He said he wanted to go out on a genuine date with me. I asked if he really thought it was a good idea, he said he didn't think it could go bad. I think it could go horribly bad. The issues I have are, he's younger than me. He's 21, I'm 27, and I've never dated someone younger. He's more emotional and more clingy than me. I can go weeks without talking to someone and not care, and he gets worked up over me not talking to him for a day. He also is very social and active, and I am a hermit to the degree I might as well get a shell and just start live to full crabby potential. I have horrible anxiety and only leave for work. He loves to go somewhere everyday. And the final issue is just.. I don't want this to back fire. I don't wanna lose him. I don't wanna have to say good bye to him any time soon. I just have no idea how a friendship could turn into a good relationship. Is that even possible? Has this ever worked? |

We both had huge crushes on each other because we had the same exact senses of humor, style, and values, plus we were insanely attracted to each other. He made us promise each other we would always always communicate no matter what and that we would always be open. After a month of awesome he'd gone silent for days which doesnt happen, he never leaves his phone alone. I messaged him that if he was ghosting me to just let me know and that it was okay but i just wanted to know what happened. He had sent me four paragraphs freaking out and apolagizing saying his phone was taken away because his parents caught him sneaking out. I was chill and we agreeed there would be limited contact, but we didnt talk at all week. I noticed he was back on social media but he wasnt talking to me still. I hit him up and he doesnt open it ever and he blocks me from seeing his snapstory. I was so thrown off because two days before he did this he had this long talk about "us" and how he knew I'd make him a really happy guy and how we was so lucky. We dont talk for two weeks.
