Question: Do you think parents making kids clean up makes them become clean people? If so how? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 02:12 PM PST Growing up my parents didn't really care if there was trash or dirt around the house. My dad would try to clean up but because my mom never helped him he stopped. So I pretty much grew up in a dirty home where the toilet was practically green. Until my brother and I got older and started going over our friends houses and seeing that our dirty house wasn't normal. We tried to change but even after a couple of years I still find it hard to be a clean person. I don't know how often to clean or when to clean I just don't know. So how clean were you guys when you were younger?
Question: Is it ok to watch porn in front of people? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 01:13 PM PST Ok so my family is very open about things and my 15 year old brother always gives himself a hand job while watching tv my mom says "I might use my dildos in her room l8r so don't come in or you will see a sexy beast " my dad just rubs his d*ck and me well I do it in private and I wanna watch porn in the sitting room but I am scared if someone reacts to me what should I do
Posted: 10 Mar 2017 01:02 PM PST Today some jerk broke my Chromebook (which is provided by the school), so I went to fix it. The tech guy in our school however, said my insurance doesn't cover it and they will charge my parents $150. I tried to explain I wasn't the one to do it but he thinks I'm lying. My parents will kill me, what do I do?
Question: Does this make me a really sick guy or just a normal horny teenager? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 12:56 PM PST I am a high school guy with a step mother that is only 5 years older than I am. Dad must like beautiful women. To say she is beautiful is an under statement. She is gorgeous. Until she married my dad she was a swim suit model. She has a figure to die for. I ask her if I could post some of her modeling photos on my bedroom wall. She said here they are, choose the ones you want. I choose one of her in a micro string bikini and put it on my wall. Now when my fellow high school buddies hang out in my room they always ask me if I every spanked the monkey looking at my step mom's picture. I always tell them no but that is true only most of the time. Does this make me a really sick guy or just a normal horny teenager?

Question: My parents are forcing me to become a professional violinist? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 10:38 AM PST Ever since I was 2, my parents have made me practice the violin and go to lessons. I have to practice four hours a day, they have spent so much money on lessons and competitions and basically I m on my way to becoming a professional violinist. The problem is, I hate it. I hate it so much. When I was little, I would cry and beg my mom to let me do something I wanted to. She still made me practice and take lessons from a mean but very good teacher. I have never had a choice in the matter. I m 14 now, and my mom now says I have to go to a violin conservatory for college, and get a job in music after. I have NO CHOICE. Please don t say when ur 18 you can do what you want because when I m 18 it ll be too late. I don t know what to do. I am being forced, I have no choice. I love writing. I love writing, makeup, art, things like that. Not music. I feel like I have wasted my life and will continue to doing something I hate. But i have no choice. My mom says she will disown me if I quit. If I choose to do something else in college she won t pay and I don t have enough money to. The point is, I have no choice.. How do I stress less about this and does anyone else relate?
Posted: 10 Mar 2017 09:42 AM PST They expect me to spend all holidays with them I am an adult but they still manipulate me. I see them weekly and my Dad not nearly as often and as a kid I never did a single holiday with my Dad so I am trying to make it up to myself. I don't think he minds but I do. How do I explain this in a way where I don't have the conflict anxiety they being on me? They are both narcissistic about holidays and angry at my Dad. They are generous and loving in many other ways.
Question: How to change my middle and last name if im under 18? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 09:37 AM PST i want to change my middle and last name. Those names are attached to my fathers side who i no longer see, i havent seen him in 3 years since at my age I can demand not to see him. im 16 btw. hes a good guy just not meant to be a dad if you know what i mean. By the way ive never met anyone on my dads side. So i want to change my middke name to Emmi its a uncommon name around here and to be honest i just like the sound of it. Only problem I see is my last name, i dont want to change it to my mothers maiden name because i feel no connection to it. However my grandmas maiden name who currently lives with us is the one I want. Its Edwards. my parents still share custody but my dad stopped paying child support when i was 15 and as i said i havent seen him in forever nor do i want to. do i still need both parents consent?
Question: Having trouble coming up with proper terms for a family tree kind of thing? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 08:59 AM PST (This might get confusing) Sooo I recently found out my second cousin (my mom's cousin's daughter) is related to a famous youtube star. Her stepdad's brother is the youtube star's dad, which makes my second cousin a step cousin to this youtube (i think?). So to summarize, I want to know what to call my second cousin's stepdad's brothers daughter in relation to me. I don't even know if its possible but people who are good with family trees help me out! hah good luck this makes me confused thinking about it.
Question: Am I stupid? I feel I'm not up to everyone's level intellectually? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 08:27 AM PST First of all, A lot of the time, I don't understand what anyone is saying And can't contribute to Conversations sometimes. When I read things I don't understand A lot of the words or sentences. It's not that I don't read. I read the newspaper every day and I read books if I have time. Also, My family and I went to this scavenger hunt place and I couldn't do anything because I didn't know what to do. My sister was reading a code and I was Trying to unlock a lock, but she was going too fast, so then she just asked someone else to do it. My family doesn't really trust me to do anything and neither did people at my high school. People don't at my college which is nice. I also don't know to clip my nails. I had my sister put a Bracelet on me because I didn't know how to, now I've had it on for a week because I don't know how to take it off. There's also a thing that came with my headphones, I don't know what it is Even though I read the box A few times.

Question: My Dad is my great uncle also so which do I call him? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 07:58 AM PST My real Dad is in jail for 67 years to life and so his uncle adopted me as soon as I was born. My real mother was an addict and died when I was one.
Question: What do I do when my aunt says she doesn't trust my mother to me? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 07:55 AM PST I feel bad insulting my mother to others but I agree with most my aunts points.
Question: Is this emotional abuse? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 07:39 AM PST My parents divorced several years ago, I live with my dad now and for about 5 yrs now. My mom appears about 3 or 4 times a week to visit for about an hour on average. Well I am 18 years old with two younger sisters who are much stronger than me. I am tasked each day to do more work than them, I don't mind that much, but it seems no matter what I do my father isn't pleased. I use to spend hours working on cosplays, now I don't since he says I am too old to dress up. I seem to get in his way a lot and I try to explain that no one is perfect, but I always loose that argument. I spend most of my time in my room drawing, reading or working on stories, He doesn't know a lot about me, he refuses to even know what I like or do all day long. My mom is the opposite she loves to learn about what I like. My dad is very expressional, some days he is happy go lucky and that pleases me other days he is very quick to anger. He won't say sorry unless you bring up the issue yourself. My grandma says he picks on me the most since I look a lot like my mother. I can usually hold an anger I have until I hold in too much and I wait until night to lay in bed then I am very angry and crying until I calm down (this happens about once every 3 months) I do have help going on for all this and I have a comfort type thing that helps a whole lot, but I always used to question was this all emotional abuse or did I just overreact to my parents divorce? Thank u for answering (this happened in the past mostly)

Question: I hit my mom. What should I do? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 07:08 AM PST Last night I came home and my mom started arguing with me about something small, and throughout the evening it kept getting worse until we were both yelling and calling each other out. At one point she got in my face and was yelling, and then tried to grab my arm when I moved away. That's when I reached my breaking point and I slapped her in the face and shoved her away. I'm fully aware that it was wrong and I do feel bad for hitting a female, however, she made it out to be more dramatic than it was and played the victim after she was the one who got in my face. Today I told her that I was sorry, and she ignored me and never once apologized for what she did. She's still upset and refuses to speak to me. She called my dad to tell him what I did and completely left out everything that she did, and then threatened to ground me and not let me visit him next week for spring break. I'm not a horrible person but she's making me out to be one yet not owning up to what she did. What should I do?
Question: When you lived with your parents was your broher allowed to bring whores? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 05:38 AM PST My brother is crazy, he is turning our house in a brothel, i luve with my parents, im 21 male. What should I do?
Question: How to help my brother out with this situation? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 05:33 AM PST My brother, some friends, and I went to the beach a few weeks ago. My brother was shirtless most of the time. Anyway, a few of our friends took a ton of pictures during the trip (especially of my brother!). Fast forward to today. A friend of mine I had met in a chat room asked me if I wanted to see a cute guy. I said yes. I was surprised when she sent me shirtless photos of my brother from our beach trip. I asked her where she got the photos and she told me the name of the friend that sent them to her. I have found out that the pictures have been sent to hundreds of people across the world. I was wondering if anyone had ideas of how to help my brother out with this.

Posted: 10 Mar 2017 04:37 AM PST Everyone told me it was a false accusation so I'm assuming it is however it never went to court so I don't know 1 hundred percent. we're supposed to go to a party this weekend that he's going to be at as it's not a great uncle I'm real close to but I see him about once a year. Now that I have kids should I trust him around my kids? I assume he was innocent but of course we never know for sure except that there was never any credibility found. It was a third-party that accused him not the daughter herself.
Posted: 10 Mar 2017 04:36 AM PST They are sisters and my aunt despises my mom because my mom does not return her phone calls saying my aunt triggers her stress.
Question: Moms would you have done this? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 04:05 AM PST I just got home from dropping my kids off at school. Since I did not get out of my car and came right back home I drove in my bare feet and did not bring my shoes.
Question: Why does my mama feel it's my responsibility to take care of her? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 03:57 AM PST I'm 28 and a single mother of 2 soon to be 3 next month. My life is great and I love my kids. My mom is disabled and can't work. Me, my sister, and my moms gf has been paying and helping and financially helping my mom on her bill until she gets her disability. I do what I can to help her however I have a boyfriend now and my income is enough to pay bills, take care of my kids, and splurge a little on self plus kids. My bf gets disability, but is sick himself. He has his own place and take cares of self. I give my mom $200 on bills like water, rent, and lights. $100 on cable which is in my name. I can not take care of mom forever why does she not get this? My mom didn't raise me, my grandma did. I became independent at 18. I am ready to move out my moms place into my owns as I have my own life and kids. My mom has a series of medical conditions that prevents her from working. However I live with her and ready to move out for my kids sake, space, and privacy.
Question: What do you do with a girlfriend who is obsessed with my mother? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 02:05 AM PST My girlfriend is obsessed with my mother. It's kind of some weird rivalry or even jelousy no matter how sick it sounds. Whenever we have an argument she says that "my mother put me up to it". Every fight or argument we have, she brings up my mother and blames her, when I haven't even mentioned her at all.
Question: Why does my mum look at me like im the devil? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 02:02 AM PST She used to be an alcoholic but whenever i had a few drinks and come back with my sister, she always every now and then just gives me the weirdest ******* vibe, but not to my sister, why?
Question: My parents got me a gift I don't really like (please read whole thing)? Posted: 10 Mar 2017 01:09 AM PST So I have some Pandora Jewelry, and I was telling my mother how I like the pandora charm bracelets, but in a way I don't because I'd probably never buy charms for it, and that I'd rather a ring or necklace. It's not that I dislike the bracelets, I'd be grateful for one but I just feel like I'd rather have a ring or necklace or new earrings. Well I went on the main computer, and my mum had left her fb open (as well as her messages, I didn't go actively looking) and I saw a message between her and my dad pretty much saying they had gotten me a charm bracelet and showing pictures of the two charms they got me (really pretty as well) I feel really bad because I honestly didn't know, should I tell my mum that I "changed my opinion and would actually really to buy a charm bracelet from Pandora" or something like that?
Question: What would be considered sexual abuse? Could it really have been my fault? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 11:52 PM PST I don't know why I come to the internet when I'm drunk and distressed but that's what I'm doing tonight! So. I was.. 8. And one of my uncles, would always creep on me, just me. Not my brother or cousins just me as far as I'm aware. He forced me to kiss him. Grabbed at me in my sleep when I was over there. He made me do very disturbing things to him, which you know, probably are reasons I'm ****** up, in seriousness. But the thing is, I never told anyone. I still haven't said a damn thing to any family. I told my dads ******* tombstone and that doesn't count I don't think. I never told anyone living and my uncle always told me I deserved to suffer for that reason. And that I was very stupid, very very stupid and made myself vulnerable. It was my own fault. A part of me believes that. I was ******* 8 leading into 13, I didn't know what was even happening for a while there, but somehow. I believed him and still kind of do. I am still in situations where I have to see him. I have to be nice to him. I've had to hug him. I've had to sleep near him. But every time I'm around him, he makes sly comments and remarks about it, to me only. It feels like I have a thousand sins in the shape of roaches crawling all over me every time he says something to me. I feel like I'm too dramatic. I still to this day, am afraid of him. It's like being a little kid and afraid of the boogie man under your bed. I guess what in getting at is would it be true saying nothing is reason to be abused?
Question: Emotionally unavailable father? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 11:32 PM PST I made a question earlier about this but I don't think I picked the right choice of words so I'm doing it again. I'm the oldest son of 4 I'm 22 my brother is 21 and 2 sisters one is 16 the other is 11. My dad works hard and is always doing something around the house, he likes cutting wood even at his age (60 yrs old) and building stuff with his bare hands. In that regard he is a great dad. But when it comes to being there for me as a friend, he is not there. He has recently gave up smoking and cut down on drinking a lot. He doesn't care about the things I tell him he thinks I'm always trying to argue with him. I can't just talk to him because he just doesn't show interest. It's come to the point where I spend hours thinking why ? Why does he get so infuriated at me when I mess up ? Why doesn't he tell to me about how he truly feels ? The only time I remember him saying that he loved me was when he was drunk as hell with me and my brother a year or two ago. It just really fuc*ing hurts because he has put me and my brother down numerous times when he gets mad and HE DOESNT APOLOGIZE. I'm ready to just drop everything and move out because I really don't like how he is. It sucks because he has been sick lately and has had to go to the doctors and I just wish I could get him to see what he has done to me. I have no confidence in anything that I do. He always thinks he's right and he's overall just stuck in his ways and I know there's no way in hell im going to just change him.
Question: How can I stop being jealous of my younger sister (both teenagers)? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 10:52 PM PST So here's the thing. I have always been the "cooler' sister. I know that sounds TERRIBLE to say but it's the only way I can describe it. Right now, I'm 16 and she is 14. I was much more social, outgoing, and (I'm sorry to say) but pretty and thin. She was very school oriented and was really smart. Recently, in the past 8 months or so, she has totally glowed up! She started wearing a lot of makeup, developing more, and got her braces off. I took her for a tour day at my high school and literally everyone came up to me saying how we looked like twins, she was so pretty, and how old she looked. this bothers me so much because although i do take it as a compliment. Its hard when she get so much attention and I feel like a background person. especially because usually people say that about me. its also hard because she tries REALLY hard to look nice and I don't put as much effort in because i like a more natural look. She is only in 8th grade and she facetimes all these boys and I feel like she is already catching up with me and I'M ******* 2 YEARS OLDER. I've also been more logical and she's been emotional but she even has gotten better about that. I really want to stop being jealous of her because its making it hard for me to be at home and stuff. I see her looking great and i can't help compare myself. Im dreading her coming to my high school because i really don't want her there and one upping me.
Posted: 09 Mar 2017 10:12 PM PST Im 15, heres a long story, forever ago this girl and i became like best friends and about 2 years ago we started to like each other, a few months after my dad saw i was texting and asked who it was so i told him, he then asked if she was our religion and i told him the truth saying she is innactive, he replied why are you talking to her then (Note: my family never knew about her) so her and i decided to sneak out at night to hangout, nothing sexual ever happened. Few months went by and we got caught, my parents yelled at me bout three times a day instead of one now, i went to therapy bc i had already been struggling with suicide and still am bc of bullying since 5th grade (Im now in 10th) and also bc of the hatred from my family. My family hated me before and now that we got caught im hated more, the therapist tried getting my mom and i to talk more but she never listens to me, i never see that girl ever and it makes me even more depressed, we try to hang but my mom always has excuses and im tired of never seeing her, having my family hate me (Enough to wear theyve beat me hard), having no friends, being bullied and im tired of living, should i kill myself, is there any point for me to live anymore? If you have questions please ask Running away is illegal
Question: Is it ok to cry in front of your brother ? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 10:05 PM PST I was reading on FB a post that one of my friends shared about a young boy who just died from leukemia. I was looking on the page it looks like he had it for a while. He was only 2. I hate it when they say kids have cancer. I don't think children deserve it. Kids should be playing outside watching cartoons listening to music not being stuck in hospitals being sick all the time. I have two little girls I don't know what I'd do if something like that happened to them. This poor little boy would never grow up , go to school , be whatever he wants to be etc. There were some pictures I saw that made me sad. One had a picture of the boy and his parents it said " mommy daddy I'm watching over you " then another one showed a really pretty sunrise his mom or dad wrote " mommy daddy I want to let you know I made it home I'm all better ". I almost teared up when I read that. I can't even watch those St Jude commercials I have to change channel. I cry every time. Especially if there's babies on there too. My brother is very sweet he's really nice to me whenever I feel upset or scared but I don't feel comfortable with crying in front of people especially my family but he's the only family I got besides my daughters and my partner. I couldn't even watch Miracles From Heaven without crying. There was a little girl in there who died from cancer. My partner loves that movie but I cry every time. Is it ok to cry in front of my brother ?

Question: My mom is sort of making death threats? What should I do now? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 08:57 PM PST I'm beginning to think my mom is a nasty, disgusting psychopath. She just came home and told my sister " I should become a two-body serial killer". My sister asked her what that is and she said "Two people should be dead and she should be in jail". Just a few days ago she was venting to my sister about her sorry boyfriend who she let treat me how ever he wanted which was abusive and condescending and she made a comment about how she's so mad she could kill him. I'm 19 and when I was 14 she created this situation which still very minor but she was able to kick me out and before I left she grabbed a knife and said " I could just kill you right now". She's annoying me with these comments and her agressive attitude and all the manipulative things she's done to me over the years is pushing me to the edge. I feel almost ready to provoke a fight just to attack her with my skateboard. I'm not crazy or anything but her comments are just making me mad. What should I do besides call the police because I have nowhere else to go?
Question: My dad got custody of me. How can I go back with my mom? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 07:56 PM PST I am a teenage girl. I want to be with my mom not my dad. My dad was always hurting my mom and he only got us because he has more money. I understand if my brother wants to stay with him but me and my sister want to go with my mom. She's only eight and has to be away from her mother, that is so evil. My mom is the one who always takes the best care of us and works so hard for us. And my mom is so sad now. I just want to run away. How can I go back with my mom? I would rather die than be with my dad right now.

Question: Should I cut my parents off because of favoritism? *optionial details*? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 07:32 PM PST Thinking of cutting my parents off when I go to college because of the constant favoritism in our family ever since my little sister has been about 4 or 5. They constantly call me fat, stupid, lazy and say that I have no friends. I strongly feel like that child that they just don't know what to do with... I'm very neglected. They rarelly buy me clothing throughout the year but constantly do for my sister. They say that it's because I'm fat BUT I have tried on multiple occasions to loose weight but then (since they cook diner) when they don't have time, just buy fast food which is what makes me overweight in the first place... They buy me nothing for my birthday (sometimes forget to wish me happy birthday until the afternoon). They praise good things adult say about my sister like "she's a very beautiful little girl" (they ESPECIALLY like that one) and repeat it for years (they still say what my sister's kindergarden teacher told them) but when I get a certificate for the best grade in math and english in my class, they say "that's good" or "congrats" in a very monotone way. What should I do? And please don't tell me to talk to them about it because trust me when I say It's going to cause a HUGE fight especially between me and my mother. Just I just cut them off or not?

Question: How to talk to mother who always claims I'm disrespectful? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 06:47 PM PST I am 23 years old. Everytime I have a difference of opinion, I'm disrespectful. When I explain my point, I'm disrespectful. Then she expects me to listen to her tell me, for an hour, how disrespectful how am and how things go wrong in my life because I have no respect for her. I feel exactly the opposite. I talk to her openly because I feel comfortable with her.

Question: Fighting with parents advice? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 06:24 PM PST So my mom and dad constantly fight. My mom always tells me she hates my dad when they fight but then when they don't they seem like they love each other. Whenever my mom gets mad at my dad she'll tell me how much he hates him and she can't wait for me to go to college so she can leave him. But once again when they aren't fighting they're fine. they go on dates and stuff and just hang out normally. Tonight they got into a fight and i was just done with my mom saying all that stuff because it really hurts my feelings. So i flipped out and now she said she's F'ing done with me and won't talk to me. What should i do?
Question: My mom says i talk too much? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 06:24 PM PST It hurt my feelings because all i do is listen, even my brother agrees. I counted specifically, i said 3 sentences to her today. She said at least over 20 to me, i just nod or say yes or no in response because if i begin to try and answer her in a sentence, she talks over me.

Question: Does this seem fair? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 05:44 PM PST My mum kept commenting about how I don't provide anything for the family and I'm costing them money... ( I'm 14) and that I'm old enough to get a job. So I've just got a part time pub job washing up at the weekends down the road from my house for some cash in hand and now my mum is saying she wants to take what I earn and put it into my savings account. I have never in my life been given pocket money or anything and so wanted this money to be something I could keep to buy things I need for myself such as clothes, toiletries, bus fare and school dinners/ school materials and do it independently but she wants to take the money from me each week. Now I'm not sure I even want the job. I'm 14! Is this a bit unfair of her?

Question: My mum just walks in my room? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 05:23 PM PST I'm 15 and feel I have no privacy. My mum just opens my door and comes in my room and looks through my stuff when I'm not home. If I try and hide something from her (like my diary) she will deliberately move it or leave it on my bed when I come home to make a point that she has seen it. She looks under my bed and through my underwear drawers even! My friend came over and was shocked when my mum just walked in my bedroom and started hanging washing on my radiator, she said she would scream at her mum if she did something like that! I've asked for a lock on my door and they said no. She won't even knock before entering. What can I do?
Question: How do I love my family unconditionally? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 05:15 PM PST I have always had a hard time being the oldest son of 4. I'm 22 and have a brother and 2 sisters. My brother is 21 and my sisters are 16 and 11. I wish I felt closer to my family. My dad was verbally abusive toward me and I know many people say that words don't hurt but I believe otherwise. When you're a young boy you are hurt very easily. Anyways, due to some events with my dad and brother in the past I hold on to those situations. For example, I used to hit my brother a lot when I was younger because I had lots of anger built up from my dad. I could never hit my father because he put fear in my eyes. When my father thought I disrespected him he would tell me "fu*k you". What's sad is that I never really disrespected him, he would think I said something bad about him when I really didn't and he wouldn't listen to me and he would get mad anyways and hurt my feelings. Even now he gets mad at certain things about me and instead of talking about these things with me he just gets mad and says "**** you". This mentality of my father has very much rubbed off on me and it's hard to be different from my dad because this is the way he has acted for all the time I have known him. It's hard to talk with my brother and show compassion because my father doesn't even tell me he loves me. The last time he told me he loved me was when me and my brother were drinking with him years ago. But still I need help. Same with my siblings it's hard to be close to them because my heart hurts.

Question: Who keeps worn out car if they earn a lot? Posted: 09 Mar 2017 04:26 PM PST My brother left his family for 20 years by never calling or seeing us. About two years ago he started visiting us on major holidays. My brother lives five hours away. His car is now 9 years old with 200,000 miles on it. In the last year he got lots of work done to this car. When he sees us he acts like he is so rich and that money doesn't matter. If we go to a restaurant he will pay and doesn't care how much it is. If he makes so much money wouldn't many people replace this car?
