I realize every relationship is different. I just wanted to better understand the process different people go through from being uncertain to "certain". Plus, hearing other people's love story is adorable.

so i never thought i would be feeling this way but i feel really lonely and dont know what to do. all my friends are just there when hanging out and stuff, but when i wanna talk about my interests or when i show them a new song i made, they just ignore it. i dont have a good relationship with my family so thats out of the question. im not interested in relationships (as in bf/gf) either they just sound phony and shallow. and lets be real u cant make a friend and talk about ur feelings and stuff unless its a childhood friend. and im not so good at making friends. i used to drink a lot for this problem but i stopped. any advice ?

Ok so at school today I asked for help with my work. Then the teacher I was asking for help from pulled out a chair and sat right beside me. Then there was a teacher that I think doesn't like me and she was starring at me like she hates me. She kept starring at me that way from the corner of her eyes as she was passing by in front of me. I'm not sure if she stared at me like she doesn't like me because the teacher was white and I was black but she is black too. I'm in high school. What do you think of this situation and what should I do?

Ok so I think one of my teachers is jealous of me because I'm doing too good in her class. She gave out a test today and I did well on it and I'm not sure if she graded it. I was asking for help during math time and she saw me asking for help. The math teacher said that I'm doing good on the work I'm doing when he checked my work. Then I saw one of my teachers face and she looked jealous like she doesn't like me. I got into a rel. with a Christian man who a friend pressed me to meet for a year daily. I wanted to wait I had one final goal for dental work to save money for, it would take a few years. I ended up meeting him, told him upfront the truth, he insisted on taking care of it & to be open w my heart, I gave in, he said everything I'd ever hoped to hear. Between his boasting ab himself & her doing the same about him, I fell in love. I said I wanted to wait for the money to be there first, also the dentist wakes up the pain. He sent me to 24 diff dent. in 7 years backing me into a corner I risked everything believing him as he put me off w excuses. Using the bible when I would be upset about his saying one thing & doing another, saying I'm too sensitive. I ended up losing my job from the pain & loss of respect by my boss seeing this man play me. I know it's my own fault for allow the manipulation, but now I'm backed in a corner he has me 100 percent dependent on him now, and he's sarcastic now, when I'm out of food, & I say so, he says "why would you do that to yourself" along with many other mean cruel things. Now I'm in debt from waiting. He was lying to me the whole time. Never got the dental done, not hire-able now, losing home, maxed CCs, etc. broke. The worse I feel the better he feels, as if it gives him power abusing the control position he's in & I'm so depressed & in pain I can hardly stand it. There are no programs, I've used all up. Now what do I do?

He's a ugly fat fellow that my wife Amanda hired to take care of our yard. Whenever I walk past him, he winks and says something in Spanish. I'm 23 yr female (The oldest). I'm in a toxic situation where I am currently living. I live home with family: 1 single parent, 3 brothers and 1 sister. The youngest is 15 going on 16. We don't have hot water, our tub water doesn't go down and we use our tub water to flush the toilet because our toilet doesn't flush either (when it flushed the toilet water overflowed, and then the toilet flusher broken. We cook our food in the kitchen using a toaster oven because we don't haven an electric or gas oven and no one in the household is not willing to put towards kitchen supplies or wanting to put money together to get the kitchen or bathroom fixed. We wash our plates and food using the sink, and tub. What to do? Everyone basically has income but It's tough because somehow we end up with no money by the middle of the month.

I always stay at his, even though it takes me just over an hour and he never has enough food. Now he doesn t even have a living room we can chill out in because his landlord s selling & has taken the furniture. Okay, so i'm a 24 y.old female and have never been in a relationship.. No normal decent-looking guy at my own age was ever interested in me. I only get 50-70 y.old guys hitting on me (but they would hit on any woman so this isn't an accomplishment) and obese guys. Seriously i'm not looking for a supermodel or have high standards. I am 24 and I am dating from 1 year and a half this guy who has a daughter, now 4 years old. I really like her a lot and I care for her (I don't want to use the word "love" yet cause I have met her only 2 times). She is adorable and she seems to like me also. But the problem is that I always read these stories of how people have disagreements and dislike their step children (I don't want to use the word "hate") and vice versa. When I was younger and I watched these movies like "Parental trap" or similar movies, I was so against the "dad's girlfriend" and I was for the family reunion. You know: mom, dad and children. I grew up in a family where my parents/ grandparents and everyone I knew had the perfect marriage. While it is complete the opposite at my boyfriend's side: parents/grandparents/sister etc are divorced or separated. Anyway, I am so afraid of what the future might hold. Since I am still underage and my boyfriend lives in a completely different country right now (He is coming here next year and I am going to live with him), my boyfriend bought me some 'toys' and costumes to kind of mess around with, so i can make videos for him to enjoy. I have had them for two months or so. Well yesterday afternoon, I went to a friends house after school and got a call from my dad telling me to come home. I guess he had went into my closet to put a jacket away that I had left on the back of the couch and found all the costumes and the box of my private toys. My dad never really accepted I was gay and he still hasn't really come to terms with it yet, so having him find all of those things was extremely embarrassing. I know he wasn't proud of me as is and now for him to realize that I've been sexual like that make me feel even worse about being gay. He doesn't know I have a boyfriend in another country or that I plan to move out next year. He was furious. He screamed at me from the moment I got home, until I went to bed. He said he didn't raise a w**** and that I was a disappointment to him. He threw out all of the things I had. I haven't been downstairs since last night. How do I talk to my dad or even look him in the eye now? I feel so embarrassed about all of this and I feel bad that he had to deal with it. My friend recently went on a date with a guy she met online. It was a positive date. After the date, he told her hopefully we can continue talking and he said he wanted to see her again. He asked my friend to text him to give him her email address. They went out one week ago and he has been emailing her every night. He hasn't invited her to communicate through texting. hi all I have 2 kids staying with my house wife and parents. I work in a different city and usually come on weekends to give quality time to my family. however its been a month that we had some internal quarrel due to involvement of my sister and the dust is not settling at all. My wife is educated lady but still she is feeding all wrong things to her parents over phone. A single word from my mother is taken as dispute and she escalates it to her parents over phone. Mother was unwell for a month and sisters came to see her. My wife reacted strongly to welcome them , as a result one of sister retaliated with strong words to my wife . the drama was ongoing for long and I had to slap my wife to stop her being abusive to family. things were normal for a day until wife called her parents and they also abused us for being violent . they were right to any extent but they were not ready to listen our view point . Its almost three weeks but wife is still so angry that she has started to ask for ransom of money to be separate. this is indeed moving out of control as she has stopped talking to me . Some of the mediators tried to settle the dispute but again , these are two different poles . Don t know how to handle this . I don t want my family to be destroyed. My wife is not supporting atall .As she is under impression that her parents will take care of her and kids . please advice how should I convince her to be normal again. My wife is too close to her parents and abusive with my parents.?

I know I would want my spouse to be happy but I also find it a bit disrespectful at the same time. But I know that goes both ways and I wouldn't want to constrict my spouse.

No judgement because this is really bad and uncomfortable for me. First off I'm 21 years old and I work at a daycare. I started sleeping with my boss's brother. Well she's 18 and a senior in high school. She's always coming to my house with bruises and/or an injury. Last month she had a broken jaw but never really told me how it happened. On Thursday she came with a puffy black eye and said she accidentally hit herself. She's had broken ribs before. I always ask if somethings happening and she says no. Ever since I met my step dad he has always been so judge mental of what I do. He gets on me for everything and I'm sick of it. I was 7 then, and I'm 12 now and it has escalated to the point where I consider it mental abuse, although one time he did come at me with a mop and acted like he wa gonna do something. He yells at me constantly and he even called me an animal one time. I really want to move in with my grandma who just lives right down the road but they won't let me. I need to know if my grandmother can contact social services or not. This is more serious than it sounds, there are way too many things to type. He also does the same to my mom, but not as bad.

Hello, I am a senior in college and I am getting ready to make a big change in my life. I am graduating and moving out of my mom s house after living with her 23 years (my age). I m moving to LA all the way across the country; I live on the east coast. I ve been getting resumes together for jobs and I ll be staying with a family friend for a few months until I get on my feet. It s just a big change. I m graduating and getting out into the real job world while moving across the country at the same time. I m just scared of making a mistake or having trouble finding a job, not making social connections, and having the same problems I have now just in a different place. I do not want to move and come crying back to my mom on the east coast. I want to move and have a better life where I am going. I m second guessing because I m scared.
