We were pretty close - people thought that we knew each other for years beforehand, and we were pretty much always together. Well once college came, we both went to different schools - she went to school in Boston, and I went to school back home in NJ. So we would speak to each other here and there, and during breaks we would try to meet up with each other, even though our breaks were usually at times. Fast forward, she ended up finishing college pretty early, so she s home now, but she did start working. She did tell me how arduous the job was, etc. In hopes that she could come, I invited her to my birthday party back in February, but she told me she probably couldn t make it because she works on nights on Saturday. Then she told me she would make it up to me and try to see me the following Thursday. I said okay. But Thursday comes, and she sends me a message saying she won t be able to make it anymore, but how was my birthday party. I was kinda upset about that, and didn t respond. Fast forward 2 months later, and I see that she updated her LinkedIn and Facebook profile with a new job all the way in North Dakota. And on snapchat she posted a video of her on the plane saying "last time in New Jersey, forever" I asked our other mutual friends, and they said they didn t know either. Why would she do this? |

Bullying is just a form of social bonding. I was very jealous of a good-looking boy in our class, so to ease my envy I picked on him. Do you think he would've ever learned that looks aren't everything if I hadn't pinned to the ground, sat in his face and farted on it in front of the all the other boys in the locker room who all pointed and laughed as he was forced to endure my farts while desperately gagging, sobbing and pathetically begging for me to let him go and leave him alone? Do you think my jealousy would've ended if I let him live on as a pretty boy who got all the girls? No! Do you think that ugly fat girl would've ever lost weight if me and my boys hadn't used peer pressure by mocking her weight and poking her with sharp pencils to "see if she'll pop"? No, she ould've stayed as unsociable and unpopular loser, she would've stayed overweight and unhealthy. Do you think that wimpy boy I live next door to would've ever learned how to defend himself if I hadn't cornered him with my boys and forced him to lick a piece of dog sh*t? After we did that to him he took karate lessons and learned how to change himself into more than just a wimp that's fun to push around. Those are the minor lies that I don't care, but she has lied to me about major things that have enacted me into canceling important plans. An example of this would be from around December. Months before the concert, She told me that her mother bought us Taylor Swift tickets. Of course, I was skeptical of the validity of her claim, but after months of constant chatter about this event, I soon believed her. I too was getting excited for this event so I took the initiative to make reservations at a restaurant to go to before the concert and a hotel to stay at. She went along with ease. 3 days before the concert, she sent me a text saying that her mother (whom I don't have contact with) lied about buying us tickets, about how the Taylor Swift concert will be "amazing", how how much she is excited. I was obviously pissed off because I KNEW that this was one of her ploys. I know that this is an obvious answer, but concerting the fact that she has Cerebal Palsy and how she has had low self esteem in the past, I know why she lies, but I cant bring myself up to confronting her. At first I thought she was mad at me about something so I confronted her and asked what's been up . And she started telling me she has been feeling uncomfortable around her dad. When we argued, Bella was the most hurtful and talked the most, Hailey just backed her up but didn't try to be mean, and Natalie wasn't involved in this. Bella was so rude, and then I just left the group. It was devestating. I then became friends with them again a few weeks later but then again Bella did a something really bad. I mentioned it one day and she got super mad (I JUST mentioned it), and we stopped being friends again. I'm friends with Natalie still now, and okay with Hailey, and Bella and I despise each other. An average person wouldn't do those things to try and prove themself but then again the people they were associated with could not be described as "average" at all and probably would hurt themselves to get someone to trust them if it gave these people something to laugh about later. Why is this person I've been talking to any different? From what I've seen they are pretty must just the same as their friends. I just can't forget the past and the possibility that they're just messing with me. Plus there's also the fact that any "friend" I've tried to have before has just been people trying to take advantage of me and really I don't want friends because everyone is just selfish and fake and are only doing things for themselves. If you're alone there's no problem. Pretty much guaranteed that the same thing will happen with this person right? |

He and I live in different states (but we are not in a long distance relationship). I wanted to see him again while I was in his state two weeks ago. I sent him a text letting him know I was in town and he asked me for the address. I told him I would contact him once I got to the hotel. When I got to the hotel I asked him to come see me. He told me he was out of town but that he would be back the next day. I believe he said that because he had to work. Yet earlier that day he and I saw each other at the park. It wasn't planned we just so happened to be at the park at the same time. We walked right past each other and didn't speak then when he got far away he stopped and turned around he knew it was me. I was upset because he said he wouldn't meet me and he started calling me nonstop but I ignored his calls. Then I got drunk and wen off on him in text messages he called me again but I didn't answer. I think maybe he would have came to see me if I hadn't of acted the way I did. I would like to go back and see him this summer. We did talk on the phone briefly a few days ago. |

He hesitated for a while before actually giving me the money to pay for it because he considers me a close friend. I kept telling him that it s too much for me to take, but he kept insisting that it was a gift, a late "Christmas" gift, so I had to take the money. There were two other friends that came with us, and one of them was a part of our conversation and was physically there when it happened. Now, my ex friend decided to burn bridges because at times I was hard on him. I tried to reach out to him, apologizing, making amends and trying to fix the situation, but he refused, ending the conversation by telling me to f*ck off. A day later, he texted me "BTW, I want the $80 back that I paid for. Thx." The following day, he persisted, telling me that paying back would be closure. Not once had we talked about paying the money back until when our friendship turned sour, yet back then he kept insisting it was a gift. Do I pay the money back? Or do I have any right not to? |

This thing obviously damaged her,I tried to offer my support and tried to help her and I quickly realized that I had started to feel something for her,it was no longer just friendship. After 4 years of pretending to be just friends (yeah,believe me I kept it secret for 4 years) I told her how I felt. She said she had always known I had feelings for her and still wanted us to be friends,just like we'd always been. For the last 5 years,until now basically I was ok with this. However now I'm 25 and we live together in college with 3 other people. It hurts so much because she likes one of the guys we live with and truth be told I don't know if I can do this anymore. I've been shy basically since preschool, and many kids have bullied me throughout preschool to now (high school). They'd bully me because of how 'quiet' I was, and how chubby/ugly I was. But it isn't really the bullying that bothers me, it's more so about not having any friends. I can't remember the last time I had a real close friend, but I do remember having one. He and I live in different states but we have met and we were intimate. He has been creating fake accounts on facebook for awhile. Sometimes he adds me fake accounts that are women or men. I noticed that he has created fake accounts in the past before he and I ever started talking. I asked him if he's been creating fake accounts and adding me. A friend was supposed to move in, but at the last minute this friend said he had an "ultimatum" and had to take the spot. Now, the background here is important, this guy is the friend that annoys everyone, and you're never quite sure why you're friends...except he thinks I'm one of his best friends. Before he moved in, I spoke with him about how rude he could be, and instead of listening to feedback, he said "dude, you're sensitive, don't worry about it." Missing the point there, buddy. Personality wise, I thought I could 'deal,' but now I'm tired of it. To note the positives, he is clean. Doesn't contribute much financially besides rent and is hard to get to buy supplies. In short, hes super rude, obnoxious and cheap. So my question is this, how do I tell this guy to get out? He's delusional that he's right about everything, and his insecurities (combined with an overcompensated ego) make him difficult to get a message across to. At this point, I want to be a nice person, but I'm just tired of dealing with him. Is it terrible for me to tell this guy our energies are too different, and he needs to find a new place? As a roommate, if he was silent it would be fine, but don't I have a right to be happy in my house? The other roommate doesn't like him, but isn't home enough to want to confront him with me. Whenever I made close friends they would ditch me for popular kids who bullied me for being nerdy & chubby, though I lost weight when I was 13. I haven't had a close friend in 3 yrs now & I'm quite lonely. I think my self esteem is the problem. I always assume others hate me & nobody will ever want to be my friend.
