Question: I need help with an engagement ring for my girlfriend? Posted: 22 Mar 2016 09:22 PM PDT I want to buy an engagement ring to propose to my girlfriend. I don t want to spend too much money, maybe $400 max and she has always said that she wants an emerald stone so no diamonds. Can i get some help with some ideas, maybe some links to some nice looking ones please? |
Question: Help for brides.....? Posted: 22 Mar 2016 06:14 PM PDT I took a course in wedding planning but do not want to do it as a full service type job. However, I would like to do side work at home. I was wondering, in your opinion, if you think brides would be willing to pay for someone to assemble and address, and send their invitations out for them? I could also assemble guest favors (etc) for them. I know these things can be extremely time consuming. Do you think this would be a good idea to pursue? |
Question: Where is a good place to buy a dress (under $40) for my bridesmaid? Posted: 22 Mar 2016 03:01 PM PDT I only have one bridesmaid/maid of honor. I want to find a somewhat formal looking dress for her for under $40. Macy's and JC Penny's prices are too high it seems and I dont think I could find the price I want at a place like David's bridal. |
Question: Worried about my moms boyfriend will ruin my wedding? Posted: 22 Mar 2016 10:43 AM PDT My mom has been dating her boyfriend for 3 years. She met him shortly after my dad died and moved him into her house. They don't have the greatest relationship and have broken up 5 times in the past 3 years. But she always insists that he be included in family events and parties. And whenever he isn't invited, she takes it as her kids not wanting her to be with anyone since our dad is dead. It's not just us, though. None of the family likes him. He drinks a lot. I've never actually seen him without a bottle of something on his persons. He turned up to a child's birthday party with a bottle of vodka. He left half an hour in to pick up a six pack and drank and drank until he became angry and started cursing at my brother and his husband. This is a man who would attack someone for saying he can't drink in their home or for asking him to leave it outside. So I know, no matter what I do, he will bring alcohol with him. When I sent the wedding invitations out, he and my mom were broken up. Now they're back together. My fiancé suggested telling my mom not to come and I do like that idea, but part of me feels guilty. What should I do? |

Question: Are American weddings a huge disappointment? Posted: 22 Mar 2016 03:03 AM PDT Have you ever been to American wedding? Where is the vodka, where is marinated herring? Where is the musicians that got the taste? Where's the supply that's gonna last three days? Where's the band that like fanfare? Gonna keep it going 24 hour Instead it's 1 in the morning and DJ's patching up the chords Everybody's full of cake, staring at the floor Proper couples start to mumble that it's time to go People gotta get up early and they gotta go Ah, people gotta get up early and she's got a boyfriend And this whole ******* thing is one huge disappointment And nothing gets these bitches going, not even gypsy kings Nobody talks about my super theory of super everything So be Donald Trump or be an anarchist Make sure that your wedding doesn't end up like this I understand the cultures of a different kind But here word celebration just doesn't come to mind!! |
Question: Needing help with wedding..? Posted: 21 Mar 2016 11:38 PM PDT My fiancé and I are having a Nightmare before Christmas wedding. We decided to dress up as Jack and Sally, but we're having trouble on what the bridesmaids should wear does anyone have any ideas? |
