She's Gay so she doesn't want to tell her parents. I have tried to tell her to take pictures of the bruises and hits but the bullies take her phone and deletes the pictures. Some of the boys try to do nasty things to her to make her not a ''freak''. I need advice for her and who should she tell??? I don't want this for my friend ;( |

Every single day from the morning I wake up til I fall asleep I do nothing all day. I have no friends not a single one, I have gotten extremely depressed . I tell my parents how I am always bored and need something to do but they're broke and are always drained by the time they get home. They dont care that I have no friends or anything to do. We dont have computers or anything all I have is this phone that I'm using for this. I'm crying cause my parents got home from work and I asked them if we could do something today and they said they're drained and wanna relax and for the past 7 months I've been here that is they're excuse every time . all I have to occupy me is music and TV. I Dont have a boyfriend I Dont have friends I dont know anyone cause I can't go anywhere cause my parents dont care... I've never felt more miserable and alone in my life and I hate my parents cause they Dont try to get me in anything fun. I've asked them to get me into a sport or a hobby and they say they dont have the time cause they're working hours. Last week an ex who left when my brother got shot an paralyzed came back after close to 10 years. Only person I ever really opened up to about my brother was my new friend. With my ex back an my brother back in the hospital emotions I buried came back all at once. An I lashed out at me new friend. Saying she should understand. Then I spent the next 3 days via text trying to explain an apologize. Probably sent 40 texts to her 5. Anyway she cancelled our plans outside of work said we are ok but only should talk at work. Haven't said a word to one another in three days. I fully get I got clingy an honestly weird. Just lost my mind for a week. Any advice? Any coming back from this? |

She was with Laura and Matt at this time, my friends too. They didn't know what it meant so they searched it up on a shitty translator, which told them that puta meant whore. She called me a ***** right back, but I didn't get offended, i laughed. Before the texting all my friends were teasing each other, especially Olivia (not in a harmful way). After I called Olivia a puta they were upset at me and Matt and Laura said that I started the teasing. Basically throwing me under the bus to save their asses. Btw, I didn't start it. The next day at school Olivia ignored me until last period. During last class she said that I called her a whore and I had no idea what she was taking about. This lead her to "believing me". I could tell that there was still suspicion. Laura and Matt definitely did not believe me. They believed the translator over their friend of 7 years. Considering I'm Hispanic and I've used puta more times than I can count I had no idea why they should believe the word of a horrible Spanish translator than an actual Latina. I was hurt and betrayed. As I was talking to my so called friends my voice started shaking because I was about to cry. Idk if they noticed but I certainly did. This has happened more than once, them not trusting me. Everyone involved are grown adults. -Husband & I were friendly acquaintances with another couple for 7 years. We always sit together at group events. - A group of jealous, immature people attending the same events started drama about husband and me. Seems like our new car and elevated status annoyed them so they started spread rumors I was cheating, etc. - The couple decided not to be friendly toward us and stopped sitting with us, moving across the room to "sit with their friends", they said. Fine. Whatever. -Months passed and this same nasty group of people started drama for yet another couple, and it became very clear to all who the troublemakers and liars are. - Now the original couple have started making a point to be friendly toward us, after more or less shunning us for 8 months. It's obvious they've realized the truth and now want to be friendly to us again. My feeling is-- not interested. They heard lies about me/my marriage, PUBLICLY distanced themselves from us (after 7 years) and did not even try to show any solidarity or support. No, when they heard horrible rumors about me, they simply dumped us in a way that everyone could clearly notice. I have remained cordial toward them, but have no interest in spending my evenings sitting with them. How do I deal with them wanting to be friendly again? I have no "proof" about any of this, but it's a small community so we know -- everyone knows. |

First of all, I have 2 roommates, we will call the first one, Abby, and she has a boyfriend, Jared. Jared works all day every day. Abby can never shower by herself I swear. She has to wait till he gets home and then they shower together. They are not doing it to save water, water bill is included in rent. No they don't have sex in there because I hear them talking and her annoying laugh all the damn time. They are like children. I have lived with them for about 5 months now. Not ONCE have I heard them shower by themselves. It's just weird. When I lived with my boyfriend, we didn't act like children and do everything together. Posted: 14 Mar 2016 02:10 PM PDT Hi, i have recently been noticing feelings inside of me that i guess are what people call social anxiety, or perhaps only being an introvert? I have no problem socializing - when i am with most friends or family i am usually fun, witty, i steer the conversation and conversation feels like it's flowing. I also have no problem holding speaches etc. infront of my class. The times i notice that i have a problem conversing is when i feel the other person(s) are in an advantage compared to me - I have no problem talking to people who I consider being less "cool" than me, however when i talk to people (even good friends) who i consider to be "cooler" than me i clench up, i could not come up with my usual wittyness if my life depended on it. I go along with where they steer the conversation and usually just react to what they say. I also get this weird hyper awareness of my face, i feel like i have this weird awkward grin on it, which leaves me with 2 options; look like a blank zombie, or totally awkward. An example: I have 2 friends who I really like. However for some reason i feel the need to justify that i am good enough to hang out with them; and clench up in the same way i do so very often. Why can't i express myself like I KNOW I CAN infront of people who, i suppose ,make me uncomfortable? Please don't say "get better friends", i truly feel like they are unaware of this struggle i have and I just want to be able to relax around them. Thanks for any help! |

I moved for college and to better myself, but i feel as if I've only made things worse for my health. My social anxiety has suffocated me and crippled any chances i have had to make a friend. Now I'm the shy one that sits in the back of all my classes. No one talks to me and no one even looks my way. And i feel awkward so i just stay in my little bubble and draw in my sketchbook. My grades are suffering too, because my old friends had dropped out of my life the second i moved away. I need that stress relief of just talking away my problems to someone thats not a creepy therapist. I need the laughing and the memories. Without that outlet i have been so depressed, and I'm thinking of just quitting school and moving back home. |

Three weeks ago, randomly one night all of us had decided to go down to Miami for Spring break. But it seemed as though only friend A and I were really into it, whereas B and C were mostly silent. After that night, the topic never came up again, so then one week late I asked them what happened to the trip. Friend B says that she can't go because she might not have enough funds for the trip, and friend C says that she might not be able to go because a job she applied for said that they would call her into an interview that week. Fast forward to LAST Thursday night, and me and friend B were discussing how we heard that soo many people were going down there. Friend C was also in the room with us, and then friend A entered. Friend A brought back up the topic again - going to Miami. NOW friend B mentions that she has enough money, and friend C mentions that the job interview is way past our Spring Break. So we started to search for places, but then the next day friend C cancels out on us. At first we gave up a bit, but then I decided to search more, and finally yesterday I found a GREAT last minute deal - $271 for all 3 of us for the whole trip. Friend B was DEFINITELY down, but then I called Friend A and she says she doesn't feel like going anymore. So now the whole trip is a flunk. Now in the group chat, they brought up doing something post-graduation in May. But I really reallyyy don't feel like going with this group anymore. Because what if last minute - someone doesn't have enough money, someone has a job interview, or someone doesn't feel like going anymore? Should I even consider going with them? |

School makes everything so much worse and stresses me out and I hate the group of people who I am "friends" with (they always trigger me and are very rude). I've always wanted to do online school SO BADLY but my mom is really against it and thinks I'm just dramatic. What is your experience with school while recovering? |

Posted: 14 Mar 2016 07:58 AM PDT I am really just looking for anyone who has felt similar or kinda knows where I'm coming from, i know I may get criticism for this... so I have an aunt who is the centre of all gossip, she just says bad stuff about everyone, when i was 13 she spread a rumour that I was pregnant... I was a very nerdy awkward teenager who kind of was the centre of her lies and she had very orchestrated things she did and said to ruin people's lives. Recently though she had a stroke and although she's able to function mostly she's lost her ability to speak. I truly felt bad for her. but I also feel a bit of relief ... that's the conflicting part of me... relieved she can't spread rumours about people or tell lies like she used to . I guess I'm just feeilng guilty for feeling this way and . In no way do i feel she deserved what happened to her i feel bad for her but i also felt positive about it, i don't know if this makes me a psychopath or just as bad as her. |

Posted: 14 Mar 2016 07:30 AM PDT Okay so for years now my mom and I have had our moments, but recently it's been a little too much. It's my senior year of high school and my moms been really lenient with letting me go out and hang out with friends. Recently, something has sparked her suspicion and I'm not sure why. I work 4 to 5 days a week and go to school all day, but sometimes when I'm at work, I see her and my 14 year old sister driving around the parking lot to see if I'm at work. One time I had gotten off early, left work and since I only live 5 minutes away from work, I didn't bother to call her because I thought she would be home. When I got home, she was gone, and I thought she went to the store, but then I got a text asking where I was at. She came to my work looking for me!! She does this almost every time I work. I have given her no reason to come looking for me. She texts my friends telling them that I am sick in the head and that they should leave me alone because someday I'm going to end up in jail or prison and she doesn't want any of my friends to go down with me. She tells my friends not to respond to my texts or calls, tells them she doesn't want them coming over, tells them she doesn't like them, etc. I know I'll be 18 in a little over 2 months, but she's driving me crazy and I don't know how to handle it. What should I do or say to her???? |

Posted: 14 Mar 2016 06:10 AM PDT So i dont know my friend is just acting very weird like all of a sudden she is like realllyyy close she tells me everything before we used to like talk like from goodmorning to goodnight like almost all the time but nowdays she just doesnt come online and even if she does she replies after 6 hrs and when i called her she just goes like i find it boring (we did talk about other stuff and she was like herself) and the only person she chats with is me...so we had college and i asked her whether she wants to hangout after college (we always hangout together ) she replied saying she is very sick and stuff but then someone told me she went outside with people of her colony to play...but when i asked her she told me she was very sick and it was serious so she couldnt hangout with me...do you think she is avoiding me or something else..or is it just that I m over thinking the situation? |

Luckily, I've distanced myself from her and my life has been problem free. But yesterday a friend of mine told me that this ex-friend of mine stole my photo and claimed it as hers. She took a swimsuit photo of me and posted it on her instagram and claimed that it was a photo of her. She has everyone fooled and everyone thinks the photo is of her. She gave me no credit. She probably thought I'd never find out. I'm very upset right now. I was thinking of leaving a comment under the photo so she and her followers can see it. Yesterday I was at her house studying in physics with her and her 18 yo brother kept opening the door and asking if we were okay. He didn't his 11 times, and also my best friend said " what's wrong with this guy he never acts like this". Then we sat for dinner because I stayed at her house that night and her brother sat next to me. I couldn't even eat because he was staring at me, then at night I got up to use the bathrrom and I heard someone behind me, it was him and he said he was going into the kitchen, but when I got out of the bathroom he was at the door. I ran to my best friends room. Then today my mom told me that my best friends mother was talking with my best friends brother and he had said " is there a really big age difference between me and - my name- because I kinda like her and I wonder if it would be legal to marry her". Marry a 14 yo?! Wtf, they're american, were american. How in the world? My friend invites me over and I can't even tell her why I won't go, help pls? |

He and I live in different states. I wanted to see him again while I was in his state last week. I sent him a text letting him know I was in town and he asked me for the address. I told him I would contact him once I got to the hotel. When I got to the hotel I asked him to come see me. He told me he was out of town but that he would be back the next day. (Sometimes he has to travel for his job) Yet earlier that day he and I saw each other at the park. It wasn't planned we walked right past each other and didn't say anything. Then when he got far away he stopped and turned around he knew it was me. I was upset because he said he wouldn't meet me and he started calling me nonstop but I ignored his calls. Then I got drunk and wen off on him in text messages he called me again but I didn't answer. However when I told him I wanted to come and see him he did tell me that he was going through financial issues (he's going through a lawsuit) and that he may not feel like meeting up with me. And that he would if he was available. I want to experience that feeling with him again. |

My mom was very strict with me when I was growing up. Never let me hang with friends or have any fun at all. I stayed home and cleaned until I was old enough to move out on my own so I pretty much lack personality. Im very boring and cant really hold a conversation. I have bad social anxiety. none of my friends ever text or call me back so I pretty much travel by myself whenever im not working. Any advice? I dont want to be boring and lonely anymore. | Posted: 14 Mar 2016 04:41 AM PDT Bob and I sat by eachother in our homeroom class. To my right was this kid (I`ll refer to as Carl) and to my left was Bob. I, being the only girl, surprisingly fit in. We all would always talk to eachother, mostly making jokes and making fun of eachother in jokingly ways. But, Me and Bob would always talk to eachother more? You know how boys have like.. sort of like bromances? It was like that.. But a boy and girl. Like sometimes, We would just stare at eachother. Sometimes, Just randomly start laughing. We always got in trouble for talking and yada yada. But, Sometimes he would just turn me randomly while working and say "No". I didn`t really know what that was supposed to mean, So I just laughed, and he did, too. And sometimes he`d go to the teacher and come back and just set his hands on my shoulders? Sometimes even the side of my arms? Being me, I just laughed. But, He wouldn`t. It kind of seemed like he was nervous but like calm at the same time..? And also to mention, We had this "Boop War"; Were we would randomly poke eachother and say "Boop!". Sometimes, We`d just be sitting and poke eachother`s side, stomach, leg, arm, etc. And of course, Thought of it as nothing more as a friendship. (Tbh, I liked him more). But now, He got moved up a grade (because teachers thought he was too smart) and we don`t talk. Sometimes we pass eachother after school, and I`d kind of glance at him and he would too, But he makes no effort to talk to me? Is it my fault? Help?? |

He said he was staying at a shelter. His mother told me that she was a battered parent for nine years. When her ex-husband which is my friend's dad couldn't handle him anymore, he had the police take him away. I remembered his mom saying that my friend trashed up the shelter at one time where he was staying at and he was taken to the hospital. His mom notified me and said that he was taken to the hospital for a place to 'cool down.' I haven't spoken or seen my friend in a very long, long time, but last I talked to him, he told me he got out of the shelter that he was staying at. He said he was living with a roommate and social security benefits pay for his rent and utilities. I asked my friend's mom why her son couldn't live with her. She said my friend can't live with her because the state declares he's a danger to himself and to others. What could possibly wrong with my friend? Does it sound like he has a mental illness? If so, what kind? |
