Posted: 31 Mar 2016 05:04 PM PDT It is in May and we are going bowling. What snacks should we do? Also, should we do an activity after, with our closest friends? He is a pretty easy going guy. He does swimming and water Polo - as do most of our friends - and he is not a picky eater. |
Question: Why does she want everything from me? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 04:53 PM PDT There's this girl and she copies me on everything down to my appearance, I've never met her in person but she wanted contact with my friends and wanted to know everything about me I didn't let her contact them. She even tried convincing me that my favorite singer tried adding her on Facebook which I knew wasn't true at all. I told her that I like horror movies and she went from obsessing over Disney and onto horror films, I doubt she's seen any of them but hey who knows? Yes I did cut her off but I found she was following some of my followers on my Instagram page and she's extremely weird. I don't know why she's doing this. |
Question: Why don't I want to see her? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 04:35 PM PDT I saw this cute girl on campus, so I asked her for her phone number. We've texted a few times, and we made plans to watch a movie tomorrow... She's super cute and she seems really nice based on the texts...so why don't I want to watch a movie with her anymore? I'm honestly considering cancelling... I guess maybe part of it has to do with the fact that she's a super bad texter, and I feel like I'm just embarrassing myself because I like her and she probably doesn't like me back... Your thoughts? |
Question: Is it true that if a guy asks about you then he is interested in you? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 04:34 PM PDT I haven't seen this guy in about a year, and he saw my sister at the store and asked her about me. He asked her how was I doing, what grade am I in and what school do I go to. I don't really know him. I just saw him around a lot. |
Question: How do I become better friends with her? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 04:30 PM PDT Hi, first of all thank you for looking at my question! I have this girl at my school and basically everyone dislikes her to some extent. A lot of the people that seem to be her friend talk about her behind her back. Although I can honestly see why, she plays tricks on people, she's very bossy, and goes behind people's backs as well - I know this for a fact because it happens to me. Yet I feel like I really want to know her more and that if I dig deeper there's more there then just some "Snobby Little Miss Perfect." She gives me things now and then like cool pens and things and I really think it's nice of her - but I really want to befriend her because of her mysterious personality. She has a really good sense of humor and while everyone may say she's just a ***** I feel like there is way more than that. She's always alone it seems, and every time we have work that could be done in partners or something she just separates from everyone. She's NOT shy or anything and talks a lot to her friend at lunch but I hear her make comments on her friend's dancing. I'm going to her birthday in a couple of months to stay over with others so I was hoping a really nice present and maybe I should hang out with her before that? I know she might use me and it could be a big risk and heartbreak, but I really want to get to know her a lot more. |

Question: Will death catch up to me? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 04:07 PM PDT I've been around too many deaths and too many bad things occurring and I'm really starting to get worried if it's going to catch up to me. to start off , i'm only 16 but this is too much. my best friend had passed from alcohol poisoning 2 years ago. an old friend of mine had died in his sleep (had a seizure due to drugs) last year and so has this one aquaintenance of mine had died from a heart attack (he had heart problems I think). this year, I've lost one from a suicide and 3 more from a really bad car crash. a few months ago , this girl from school (which I was friends with as well) also got into a bad crash (fortunately she survived) but earlier this week , I found out that ANOTHER old friend had passed from cancer . I feel like there are too many strange things going on (will all fatalities) and sometimes I'm scared that death will soon catch up to me .. I've talked about it with some other friends and they feels that the same, there are too many young people dying. -do I have some type of connection with death? - will it happen to me? ? :// |

Question: Is it bad that I'm to nice? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 03:36 PM PDT I'm a really nice person and usually do stuff for people often only if I mostly want to. My friend whose a senior and I'm a sophomore wasn't here for the notes and asked me to copy mines in his notebook. We both have amazing handwritings out of all the class and I said sure why not, since I have nothing better to do. The teacher caught me and though I didn't do the notes, I basically didn't know what to say when she asked "You didn't do your notes?" Not in a mean way though. And she comment that I was too nice to write for someone else. So, is it bad that I'm too nice? |

Question: One of my friends is being kind of b*tchy to my other friends please help? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 03:01 PM PDT Okayyyy... So I'm a high school girl who is in a friend group of 8 including me. We have never been very stable but after a certain person left (we used to be a group of 9) then things settled down. Only now it's starting back up. One of my so called 'friends' is being pretty mean. She's in two of my classes, but acts like I don't exist in both of those classes. Instead she goes with her other more popular friends and doesn't care to include me. Aside from that she's been calling my other friends things like loser, stupid, ho, dumbass and its lost its affection. It now sounds sort of genuine. She's always blowing us off to go hang out with someone else. She's also one of those people who puts herself down just to hear compliments from other people, as well as being bossy and controlling. I don't know what to do. We don't want to start more drama so should we just ignore her? Should we drift away from her? Or should we confront her? Please help. Thanks. |

Question: How to make my best friend pay attention to me? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 02:38 PM PDT So my best friend and I have been friends since the 4th grade. Lately, he's not been answering my texts or anything and I've tried to give him space for two weeks and he texted me, I texted him back and he never responded. So one night, I was really depressed about a 'family issue' and I texted and said I needed somebody there for me right now. I saw he opened my message because it was on snapchat and no reply. He doesn't talk to me anymore and I need help. |
Question: How can I tell someone I don't want to be their friend? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 02:34 PM PDT I have an ex coworker who comes in to the bar I work at every day. At first I was okay with it and it was nice talking to him but it's getting to be too much, I can't exactly kick him out because he does sit and eat/drink, so technically he's a customer, but how can I tell him that I don't want him coming into my workplace to hang out or simply that I don't enjoy his company without hurting his feelings? I'm not looking to end the friendship completely but just tone down how often I see the guy |

Question: I miss my internet friend? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 02:14 PM PDT This might sound really lame, but I keep like missing these internet friends I used to have a while back, especially one in particular. Like, I have a bunch of close friends in real life and I hang out with them regularly and everything, but for some reason, I like really miss this one internet friend I used to have? Like, we used to talk all the time and everything, but then I started going through some stuff and kind of tried to have this clean slate or whatever with my life (it's a long story), so I just like stopped talking to my internet friends and everything. This was a few years ago, and ever since then, I've regretted doing that sooo much and really miss my friend. Is there anything I could do to rekindle our friendship? I've had small conversations with her like twice or so in the past few years, and I honestly feel like there's no hope. |

Question: Why do the popular kids get away with everything? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 01:49 PM PDT I go to a typical small town high school. For some reason the jocks and preps get away with everything. I'm not saying all the popular kids are jerks, but the ones that are get away with it. They show up to class late or even skip, swear like sailors, bully and pick on other students, show up to school dances smelling like booze (one even got caught sneaking alcohol in a water bottle and all they did was confiscate it), and sometimes get caught sneaking outside for cigarettes during the school day. But the teachers consider them the "good kids". If anybody else not part of that crowd even somewhat attempted half the **** they do and get caught they'd be in a **** load of trouble. Why i this? It's like when the popular kids get caught doing something they aren't supposed to the teachers are like "I was young once too", but if a nerd, skater kid, hippie kid, or what ever got caught doing the same exact thing the teachers would have a heart attack |
Question: Why did he do this? Help!? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 01:44 PM PDT A guy was supposed to make me his girlfriend and meet me but he didnt. We agreed to be friends.. He said hes seeing someone. It was his fault we drifted apart. Then suddenly after a while he said we havent even hung out yet (which was his fault) and he said we dont message a lot so lets just not talk anymore. Then i told him i found someone. Then he talked to me for a bit and said he will hang out with me. Then after a while he said he told me before he cant talk to me anymore and he already has a girlfriend then blocked me. Then unblocked me. Then posted a picture of him and a girl with her cropped but standing VERY close. Why? What dp i do? |
Question: How to mend a broken friendship? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 01:20 PM PDT |
Question: Why do my friends never include me? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 01:20 PM PDT Hi guys. Basically when I was a little girl I had no friends in school. The main reason was because the girls living in my area are all disgusting and they all bullied me. They made fun of me because they thought I was a teacher's pet and they thought I was weird. I'll admit, I did enjoy school, and the teachers did like me, but that's no reason to get bullied. Anyway, after my bad experience in school, my parents switched me out to this other school. I became best friends with this girl called Jackie. We did everything together but then got into a stupid fight and stopped being friends. Jackie used to invite me places all the time and take me everywhere with her and I would do the same. After that, Jackie ended up switching schools because she was moving. I started to get closer to my other friends. Then one of the girls called Karina who I got really close with one day just told me that she doesn't want to waste her time hanging out with me because she wants to go out with different friends and meet cute guys. Her saying this basically ruined the friendship and a few fights followed and now we aren't friends anymore. The problem is that she didn't leave my school. She still goes to school with me. I'm still in the 'group' that we used to have, because we have the same friends. Now after that whole introduction, here is the issue. The group basically consists of about 6 girls including me. Out of the 5 girls, I'm only legitimately friends with 2 of them. Those two girls always tell me that I'm their best friend, but the thing is, is that it's all talk and no action. Whenever they make a group plan, neither of my 2 friends ever invite me. They always make plans and never include me. I'm starting to think that I'm the one with the problem. What is wrong with me? Is there something that I'm doing wrong? I'm not annoying or mean or anything.. so I have no idea why they never think to include me. Like let's say I speak to one of them about making plans, they always say, "oh, let's also invite so and so." But when other people make plans, they never think of me. Help? |
Question: Always the idiot that give to others with little in return? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 01:17 PM PDT I'm always the idiot that is the first one to say Happy Birthday on Facebook. I'm that idiot that whenever one of my friends have a walk or charity they want to raise money for - I'm there with my $50. But when I have a cause and I humbly forecast my goal - barely anyone notices, or gives anything. How do I stop being the giver? |
Question: Why don't people include me in anything? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 01:17 PM PDT okay so basically I rarely get invited places. I try to make plans with people but they lie to me and say they're busy but later hang out with other people. Then when I finally get mad and say something I'm being rude. I got in a huge argument with my friends about then never treating me like a friend but nothing has changed. What do I do? I'm sick of being lied to and constantly mistreated by people who claim to be my friends. |

Question: How can I ditch an annoying "friend" of mine without hurting him? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 01:07 PM PDT So recently this guy from my class started talking to me on fb and in school and wants to hang out outside school. We hung out like 2 times. He made it clear that all he wants is for us to be friends and he told me that im his first real friend. The problem is,he's been texting me ALL THE TIME and it's really getting annoying. The worst thing is that he's always asking me personal questions that i don't wanna answer. I really don't wanna be "friends" with him but I don't wanna hurt him or sth plz tell me how can I gently ditch him or idk..he has no other friends,no one takes him seriously and I can see why.. |
Question: April Fools Day prank ideas? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 01:01 PM PDT I know this is kind of last minute, but any suggestions for a really good prank for a mean girl at my school? She is super nice to everyone else but when we're alone she's a devil! I call her the Devils little helper. I'm one of the quiet nice, innocent kids who wants to get revenge for a change. I remember back in elementary school, I was playing with one of my friends and the girl her name is Emma (the mean girl,) she pulled her away and said "you really want to play with HER?" In a nasty tone, and I remember those exact words. The girl continued to play with ME, but I was still upset. She's been mean to me ever since, and just recently, I was taking an acting class and she happened to be there too because she wants to become an actress and we had to introduce ourselves and when it was PUT turn, she pulled me in and said nastily, "you ACT?!" As if it were a big shock. And I said yea, then she gave me a dirty look and said "I already know you," and motioned her hand for me to go away. So anyway, I want revenge pranks. Thanks so much and no rude answers please!!! |
Question: Is it me or is it them? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 12:57 PM PDT For a long time I've been hanging out with this group that my brother gathered up together with a girl and the rest of her family. We're all between the ages of 25 and 16, me being the youngest. Everybody seems to be against what I do, especially the girl. We talk, we joke, we drink, we do whatever. Only until I'm somehow in a bad mood and she suddenly decides to attack me. I usually take my shirt off when i'm drunk, and it's just for the jokes, then everybody turns against me and that didn't happen before. Everyone would laugh about it, I know its becoming repetitive but people seem like they can tell me what to do and that pisses me off big time. I feel drained a lot of times when I come back home from there, even though I don't do anything it just happens. If i'm hanging out with somebody else that's not part of the group I feel okay. And I just don't get it. I'm trying to start a decent conversation sometimes and people talk over me, i'm doing stuff and people dislike it and say i'm attention seeking. I hate sitting in one place, I do that enough at home, of course I will start doing stuff. So what's the issue? What am I supposed to do? I always get this feeling as if I don't belong there, and I would leave for that matter...but it's my apartment! My brother lives on my parents' money so it's obviously mine too. And the girl moved in without paying any rent at all. |
Question: Would you pay someone for a consultation? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 12:23 PM PDT This guy and I were intimate almost a year ago and charges people for a consultation. Is he still worth being a friend? |
Question: My friend and I legit almost got kidnapped today while we were walking? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 12:16 PM PDT My house is about 10 - 15 minutes from my friend's house. We usually walk to each other's houses. I got to her house and we hung out for like an hour but then decided to take her dog for a walk and go back to my place. (Her dog is a pipple, but she's the sweetest thing ever.) Anyway we were walking down the street and their was a big pedophile-esque van there. We were joking around saying the guy in the van was probably taking pictures of us. I was like "Should we go this way?" And we doubted it for a second, but out of pure laziness we kept walking even though we had a strange feeling. That van left after that. The story continues, about 10 seconds later, when a small grey car pulls up next to us with two teenage guys in it. By the way they were driving we could tell they were drunk/high. They smiled at us and looked at us as they were driving past. Then about 3 feet in front of us they stopped their car. We thought they were making a U-Turn for a second but then they started backing up, and when we ran they backed up faster. They finally quit at it and went up the next street which if you go oon it brings you back to the street we were walking on. We decided to "out smart" them and walk up that street but then we could see through the bushes they were coming back down to where we were. We started running but her dog was slowing us down and we almost called the cops because the guys were chasing us in their car for like 4 blocks until we got to her house and they kept yelling stuff at us. Their was no where to hide and our friend who lives near by was shopping. /: I had my mom pick us up to go to my house and we saw their car driving by and we could hear their car vrooming throughout the streets where we live so they were obviously looking for us. I'm not whining or anything, but my friend and I are pretty shaken and I was wondering if anyone else has been through a similar experience? How can we protect ourselves in the future? I know how to flip someone over and we can both fight but I was thinking about getting a pocket knife since the streets we go through to walk to each others' houses aren't exactly the safest and they're pretty deserted for the most part. If this ever happens again what do we do? |
Question: I almost got stabbed today? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 12:13 PM PDT Today in college, I was messing around in the shop with my mate saying "whoever leaves the shop first is a pussy" so we waited and then this boy who 'was' my friend (not anymore after what's he about to do) came and said "if you leave your the biggest pussy and I will never respect you" so I got angry and said "I don't need your respect, why would I want respect from you!?" And it turned into a small argument and got bigger and bigger until I was so angry that I said something bad about his religion by accident (I was really angry that it just came out) anyway he got real angry that there was tears in his eyes and we was shouting so bad. We was so close to fighting but he saw one of his older brothers mates ( loads of em ) and started speaking to them in his language (I'm english, he's somalian) anyway, the older people started walking off and I really was sorry for saying all the things, its just I was so angry that it came out. Anyway, I didn't see him for a whole lesson until it came to lunch but when I finally did we just ignored eachother and didn't even look at eachother. So I'm in this room with my mates that didn't know that me and this boy had an argument so they didn't know anything that was going on. I was making a roll-up and then the boy came and I just ignored him but then when I looked he got out a knife, like a really big one (flick knife) so I was actually scared and he started showing it to my other mates who had no idea it was for me and they started looking at it. So my other mate who knew what was going on quickly took me outside and we walked off really quick. I saw my other mate on the way and told him so he went and talked to the boy and calmed everything down. So the boy comes back up and spuds me and says that everything is cool now and that we should just forget about it. But my mates keep saying that he probably is trying to make things seem cool and then when he gets the chance he will stab me. Should I go into college tomorrow? |
Posted: 31 Mar 2016 12:12 PM PDT Me and my friend have been inseparable since kindergarten. No one could separate us. When someone thought of Jessie they thought of Sam.A few months into high school we were taken in by a group of friends. One of the girls in the group, Summer, and sam started doimh everything together. Sam Planned a trip to six flags and invited the whole group. Of course, I had to be home by noon the next dAy which is just my luck. I told her mom and she was ok with it. But then when they picked me up I told the rest of my friends. They were really mad and told me to tell my dad no. Most of them don't know my parents very well to see that I can't say no. We finally got to six flags and I was planning on riding a lot of the rides with my best friend. But her and Summer decided to go on all the rides together. Ok that's fine I thought, I'll just ride with another friend. There turned out to he an odd number of people-7 including me. My friends decided I would be the one to sit alone. Sam and Summer together on every ride. Not only was I alone but everyone was being really rude to me because I had to leave early. They told me I should have stayed home. Even when we got to her uncles they made me sleep in a different room because there "wasn't enough room". Another thing that just happened is me sam and summer were going to get our nails done this weekend and I just found out they got checked out of school to get them done today. |
Question: I ignore people I don't like? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 12:10 PM PDT I either ignore someone if I don't like Or respect them, and I refuse to acknowledge them and want anything to do with them. Isn't that the right thing to do? Instead of getting involved and having conflicts. |
Posted: 31 Mar 2016 12:02 PM PDT Hi. I am in a slump because I don't have a lot of local friends to hang out with. I work alone, so there are no office parties or opportunities to meet new people that way. Lately, I've been missing a couple of them and found them on Facebook. We had ups and downs, they helped me when I had nowhere to live and no money to even buy food. This was about 8 years ago. Unfortunately, they also hurt me in some ways. I was a doormat and they took advantage of that. One had an affair with my late husband before I even met her, but I had put that behind me long ago. I guess my question is: Is it worth it to risk finding out that they haven't changed and then deciding that they're still not good for me and having to cut off contact again? Do people really change, or is that just my inner self being hopeful? I know my husband now would tell me to forget it and will tell me he doesn't want them to have our address, my work location or any other information like that and I would respect his request with no problem until I've had time to feel out where the old friends are in life at this time. I spend most of my time either working or with my husband and I enjoy both, but having a couple of girlfriends would be a nice break in the routine. Thanks for any advice or even true life stories that you have to help me gain some outside perspective. |
Question: My stepsister hates me? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 12:02 PM PDT So me and my stepsister have been siblings for about 5 years and we are both 17 years old. WE ARE ONLY STEPSIBLINGS BY MARRIAGE. So about a year ago I decided to live with my mom and so my dad had to start paying child support for me because I only go over there every other weekend. But anyways she hates me because she thinks it makes it harder on her with my dad having to pay child support is what my friends told me she said. Well one night her and two of her friends and three of my friends were hanging out before they came and got me. Well she started talking crap on me before they came to hang out with me. My friends told me later that night that she was talking crap about me. She started saying don't talk to him and things like that. My friends helped me out and told her "yeah you are mean to him" she was like no I'm not I just don't talk to him they were like that's the point. Then lastly she said I don't hate him I just strongly dislike him. We don't even follow each other on Instagram. She also told my friends and her friends that I have no life. What should I do about this? Did i do the right thing living with my mom? I just really don't like her right now especially because she talks crap about me around my friends. Her and my brother even talk crap about me because they are like two peas in a pot. |

Question: Interview rescheduled 3 times? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 11:19 AM PDT So I just heard from my potential interviewee that they need to reschedule yet again--making it the third time they reschedule my appointment. This isn t easy because I have to keep making up fake Dr./Dentist appointments. I have been very understanding and easy going about it--but it has bothered me and I really want to make my next job one that is stable and they have their **** together. I found out WHY they need to reschedule and that s because their boss is letting them out early due to the sunshine we re experiencing. Like really? You re rescheduling me for a third time because your boss is letting you out early. WTF. They keep professing how interested they are in me as a candidate but this doesn t really scream "WE RE SO DAMN INTERESTED IN YOU"... but wait, the sun is out... can you reschedule. I don t know what to do. Thoughts? As pointed out by the apathetic jerk below - Dan - it's "interviewer"... so sorry I made an error. I hope the rest of you can forgive me and have the ability to look past your own noses. -G Also... this is for Dan... What would you have me do, not make fake appointments and just not show up to work? What is your alternative solution guy? |
Question: I get so stressed around people? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 11:15 AM PDT People always tell me i look old for my age, some of my friends say when they first saw me they felt i was so intimidating plus i m very untalkative and conservative around stranger, along ưith my "blessed" resting ***** face. It makes me look like I don t give a crap about making friends and an anti-social, but really i m just shy and dont know good ways to start conversations. And I m not even like picky with choosing friends or have any problems with anyone. My personality is weird and goofy and a total dork yet only few people that dared to talk to me know and they all became so close after got to know me. My boyfriend says it s because i m too stressed out around strangers that it shows and it looks like i hate people, not forgetting my resting bitchface also comes in handy, what should i do to stop stressing around people? |

Posted: 31 Mar 2016 10:53 AM PDT Hello. My name is Jonathan and I am a 24 year old male, currently living in Ireland. I have a childhood friend who is male (23), that has always and will forever be someone I cherish in my life. We met in middle school when my mother started homeschooling him with me due to an issue with his heart. I guess you could say we were inseparable growing up, doing everything together at any chance we got. I kind of protected him, kept him safe, made sure he was alright and then around tenth grade he actually suffered a heart attack, nearly died and I guess you could say it terrified me at the thought of loosing him. We kind of lost touch after that. He moved to the United Kingdom and I stayed in Ireland. Anyways, this morning someone was knocking on my door and I went to go answer it. It was him. After years of not talking. The next part is what I need help with. The minute I opened my door, he practically tackled me and kissed me. Wouldn't let me speak, kind of got a bit handsy, and without any warning what so ever started stripping his clothes off, asking me for sex. I guess you could say it's now a couple hours since then and he is in my bed, after sex, sleeping. It was the last thing I expected. Why did he do what he did and what should I do once he wakes up? I am so confused, so full of emotions, I don't know what to think or how to react. I just had sex with my childhood friend, without even a word spoken between us. We are both guys, haven't seen each other in years. Help. |

Posted: 31 Mar 2016 10:13 AM PDT Let me start off by saying I am not a professional. I make cakes because I love to do it, in my spare time. I work full time and have 3 children so I don't have much time to give my cake "business" right now. I have a friend I work with that asked me to do a cake for her daughter's 13th birthday party. About 3 weeks in advance she told me she wanted me to do it. I was excited to and asked her to give me an idea of what she wanted. I asked periodically throughout the weeks for an idea of the cake. 4 days before delivery she finally showed me the design. She also told me she wanted it to feed approximately 100 people. Throughout the day (Monday) I continuously asked her what her budget was. As a work friend I wanted to be as reasonable as possible for her. Supplies alone for this cake was right at $100 as it was a three tier cake covered in fondant 12x9x6. The cake was due on Friday which she took the day off. I told her I didn't mind meeting her somewhere for the cake but she said she would have her husband come pick it up. When he came to get it there was no payment made because she had called me earlier in the day telling me she had the check but forgot to give it to her husband. She then went on vacation and I didn't see her for almost two weeks. I thought it was a bit strange she didn't text me to tell me thank you, etc. so I worried maybe something was wrong with the cake. When she came back to work I asked her if the bow on top made it (As it was a super delicate gum paste bow) and she said no, which I didn't worry too much about because I specifically told her husband to be careful with it because it was delicate and he responded " It's just a cake for teenagers so it really doesn't matter". Excuse me but I worked really hard on that cake and took a lot of time away from my family to make it and to me, it's not "just a cake"! She finally asked me if I had tasted the cake. I used a homemade recipe I have always used which I have never received a single complaint on and she told me it was too dry and didn't taste good so no one ate it and she ended up throwing the whole thing away. I told her I was very sorry and that I hated to hear that. She said that she would still pay me for the cake and I told her I hated for her to pay for a cake she didn't like. I never told her not to pay me. I then said that I spent $100 on all of the materials and left it at that. I was trying to give her a range of payment and really just expected her to pay me for the materials as that was money out of my pocket. When I finally asked her to pay me she told me we had discussed it and I had told her she didn't have to pay me because she didn't like it and it had to be thrown away. I had requested $150. $100 for the materials and $50 for my time and effort. I wasn't even going to charge for my overhead. She said she was not going to pay that much for a cake she couldn't use. I guess I just expected her to WANT to pay me as I delivered a cake that looked exactly like what she wanted, on time, and only with 4 days notice. I feel if it were me, even if a "friend" told me not to pay them I would still pay them something as generosity for the time it took them to do something like that for me. I know if the cake didn't cost me as much out of pocket I would have just let it go but $100 I would have never said that she didn't have to pay me. Unfortunately this situation has made me re-evaluate my business and waivers and deposits will now be part of the deal for anyone to include friends and family members for cake requests this large. My question is should I just let this go since I have to work so closely with her or should I expect her to pay something? Small Claims court doesn't make sense to me for $150. Thanks in advance for everyone's opinions and comments. |
Question: It Doesn't Smell Right to Me? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 10:05 AM PDT A college friend of mine from 30 years ago is allegedly terminally ill with cancer and he needs money desperately. I learned of this on social media. I've seen recent photos and he is gaunt and ill with something. It could be cancer. It could also be late stage eating disorder or hard core narcotics abuse or something else. I offered to do the following because I've been blessed. I offered to put $3,000 on account at the grocery store in the small town where he lives. My friend won't have to worry about food. He can spend his food budget on other things. He thanked me for the offer but he would rather have cash. I think I should stand my ground or withdraw the offer. Something doesn't smell right. |
Question: Why does he behave like this???? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 10:05 AM PDT so this guy is quiet around me and doesnt say much, i usually do most of the talking. infact sometimes he tries to avoid me like walking around a path so he doenst have to come near me and its pretty obvious, especially when his mom comes to pick him from the station. then other times he does a 180 and smiles at me on his own and or comes and sits with me and talks to me for a bit. well the other day i came up to the station and he was already standing there, and when i got up i saw him quickly sit down, we looked at one another and i guess when i looked at him he said waved and smiled at me, and so did i. well our train was coming as this happened, and i looked at him and asked if he was waiting for someone, he seemed surprised and smiled and said ya so i left. the thing is the last few times ive seen him come up, i think he sees me and tries to avoid sitting with me, and hides in the corner, which is bizarre, then he got on the train, i was assuming thats what happened the other day as well when he said he was waiting for someone so does he hate me or something hence hte running away ps we both are 24 - yes very childish i know lo |
Question: Was my friend in the wrong the other day? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 10:04 AM PDT on Monday I had to go to the doctors for a sinus infection that was not clearing up. well I got out of the doctors late and my friend had to take me right to college as she had plans later so because of that I had to wait till Tuesday to get my antibiotic. well on Tuesday that same friend came to get me to go to our cooking class and to get my antibiotic. well she informed me that she also had to put up a med as well. I know my friend all to well, when she takes me to go and get meds from the pharmacy she always likes to go thru the drive-thru window, she refuses to do anything else. I tell her that I prefer to go inside and my meds that way it is more private just me and not her. cause when we go thru drive-thru I have to reach over her to talk to the person at the window so I prefer gong inside. well Tuesday like I said I told my friend that we should go inside as we both have meds to pickup, but when we got there she yet again went to drive thru. well this where she pissed me off. the one time she took me to get my meds and when I got it I took it out and chewed it, so that I could take it right away, and my friend yelled at me telling me to never do that again as I am not allowed to do that she said I said well I always chew that med or crush up the other ones. well Tuesday after we got our meds she had the nerve to ask the lady if meds like that can be crushed and then she had to go and get the pharmacist over to talk to us about it and he gave his speech to us. and he was mainly talking to me about the meds and all. I know my friend asked the pharmacist about crushing meds because I told her that I do it all the time. I believe my friend over stepped her bounds when she got in my business. my friend should not have done that at all. was my friend in the wrong for talking to the pharmacist about my meds that she has no control of? |
Question: Some advice from any girls in high school here plz? Question: Is what my fellow employees plan to do sexist? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 09:22 AM PDT I am the only woman in a office of 17 people. I really like the people I work with and they like me. My 10 year anniversary is coming up soon and my fellow employees are planning a small lunch to celebrate it. They plan for each employee to give a small speech about working with me and to present a small gift and to give me a kiss. Former employees I worked with are also invited. The human resources guy is worried that people will think what they plan to do is sexist because the employees would not do that for a man. I think it is a great idea. I am looking forward to it. Do you think it is a sexist idea? Your thoughts please. |
Question: Should I tell my buddy what I did to his mother? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 09:19 AM PDT I went over to hang out with my buddy John at his house. He was not home from work yet so I talked to his mom for a while. I had been to his house before but I had not given his mother much thought. She was gorgeous so I told her John was lucky to have such a beautiful mother. She got out her photo album and showed me some pictures when she was in college and entered and won several beauty contests. Then she said, this is the picture I am most proud of. She gave me an old copy of a magazine and she was the center fold picture. Talk about a beautiful body. WOW. All of a sudden I have a problem. I got a b0ner. John would kill me if he knew I got b0ner for his mother but I am NEVER going to tell him. I apologized to her for what happened but I told her she was so beautiful and sexy I could not help it. She was VERY NICE about it. She said "You are just a normal horny teenager". I told her I should leave as I did not want to embarrass her with what I did. She said "You didn't embarrass me. Stick around until John gets home." Do you agree John had a great mother to be so kind to me? |
Question: Do you think he'll have sex with me again? (10 points for best answer)? Posted: 31 Mar 2016 09:12 AM PDT I'm 29 and I had sex with a 42 year old almost year ago. He and I live in different states (but we are not in a long distance relationship). I wanted to see him again while I was in his state two weeks ago. I sent him a text letting him know I was in town and he asked me for the address. I told him I would contact him once I got to the hotel. When I got to the hotel I asked him to come see me. He told me he was out of town but that he would be back the next day. I believe he said that because he had to work. Yet earlier that day he and I saw each other at the park. It wasn't planned we just so happened to be at the park at the same time. We walked right past each other and didn't speak then when he got far away he stopped and turned around he knew it was me. I was upset because he said he wouldn't meet me and he started calling me nonstop but I ignored his calls. Then I got drunk and wen off on him in text messages he called me again but I didn't answer. I think maybe he would have came to see me if I hadn't of acted the way I did. I would like to go back and see him this summer. We did talk on the phone briefly a few days ago. |
