Question: Proposal: should I tell my boyfriend I'm ready to walk? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:25 PM PDT I'm 28, bf is 37. We are a few months shy of dating four years. We're financially secure: I'm a teacher and he's an engineer. He assures me he plans to marry me but won't set a specific deadline. It's getting harder and hard especially since we live an hour apart and only see one another one... maybe two evenings per week. I feel like I should be putting in for teaching jobs in his area by now (and I would need time to get things in order -letters of recommendations etc). Instead, it looks like I'm buckling up for another year of teaching in MY city. It's hard being content with life when there is no end date in sight. Even just a little timeframe would helpful. I feel like there's no end in sight. I feel telling him: You have a month to decide if you want to marry me within a year. If you're unsure in any way, lets end this now. I'm not trying to be mean, but I feel the relationship is stagnating and my life is on hold. |
Question: I need relationship help? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:25 PM PDT I've liked this girl for about 2 months and we've been friends for about a year now. She likes another guy but he's a douche and she doesn't see that. Sometimes when I talk to her she thinks I'm stupid but I'm not I just act different around her, I try to be nicer to her because her parents don't like her and I try to help but when I do she pushes me away. Our friendship isn't that strong I talk to her in two of my classes and message her after school, but if I don't message her first there'll be no conversation. How do I make it so that she actually wants to talk to me more and find me attractive??? |
Question: Should I text my ex-best friend? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:25 PM PDT My ex-best friend and I got into a falling out. While I was dating my ex, she did everything to break us up and then skyped with him for like 10 hours the next day, then they both became a "thing" within two days which then led to them dating like 3 days later. I honestly couldn't care less about my ex, but I care about how she acted in that duration of time. I told her that I didn't know if I still possessed the respect I had for her and that we needed some space for a while. She didn't really act like a best friend and never really considered my feelings and would just blow things off when I had a problem, but tell me that I never tell her anything. I'll admit that I wasn't really happy and she always kinda made me feel like ****, but ever since the "break" I've been quite satisfied. Though true, we both were there when the other went through a rough time in their life, so it's not like our friendship was that unhealthy. Today, she posted on her story on snapchat her (after)crying that today was a bad day. I suddenly felt bad for what I said, and if I'm to blame here, then I take full blame, but should I text her to see if she's alright? I'm afraid she'll take it the wrong way and that I forgive her right away. I feel like if things do turn out well, I could get into another unhealthy friendship with her. I'm just tired of this huge circle-fight, make up, fight, make up. Plz give your honest answer. Thank you for reading. (also please tell me how to give best answer :P ty) |
Question: Has my friend misunderstood me or is he busy? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:25 PM PDT So I've known this guy for years, and within the past couple months we've been texting each other. The other night he texted me really late at night but I was exhausted and not thinking straight at all. He asked if I'd want to hang out. I sent him the following text: "sure, but wanting to, and being able to are two different things altogether." And I really would like to hang out with him. But my mom is very strict when it comes to my hanging out with members of the opposite sex, especially is they re older (he s 3yrs older than me). And my friend also knows this. He replied with 'I guess so'. Then I, being totally out of it, said I had to go because I had an early day the next morning. He didn t seem disgruntled and said good night. Two days later I texted to say hey, and he still hasn't' replied several days later. I know him on facebook, and I know he s seen my text. Is he ignoring/mad at me? And did I sound rude? Should I apologize for being short with him if I was? My plan is to wait it out because he usually texts me on the weekend, then ask if I insulted him, but I don t want to sound needy or too familiar. Thanks for your help! |
Question: So, why is he looking/glancing at me whenever he thinks I'm not looking? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:24 PM PDT Background Information: Okay, I made myself get noticed but now, I don't want to be noticed. I started conversation for like 4 times until I stopped since I thought I was bothering him. I gave him some pointers on a note when he was having what I can tell might be a hard time in class (the lesson). Now, he looks at me when I talk to my Brother's friend on my left side, which is mostly everyday, and he quickly looks away (mostly to the front) when I turn my head to the front. His friends are also looking at me. I can't tell if they're mad or curious. It's so obvious too because one of them just stares at me. So, are they judging me because I'm weird? How do I help myself in this situation? My crush just steal some glances sometimes and he sits right next to me on my left and I just can't pretend anymore that I don't see it. I also don't even look at him in class, at all, in fear of giving my attraction away so he can't possibly be wondering why I'm staring at him. He probably knows I like him and stuff. He's also a quiet dude but he doesn't seem shy, he seems a bit confident. P.S. I'm a shy and awkward girl if that helps.. |
Question: I have an "odd" teacher...? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:22 PM PDT My health and PE teacher creeps plenty of people out, and surprisingly enough those people aren't the girls that fall under the "preppy," overachieving, goody-two-shoes stereotype, the people she creeps out are boys—horny, rebellious, careless, boys that just want to have fun with their friends. Here's why she creeps all these people out: she is very physical. If you were to go up to her and ask her a question she would maybe put her arm around your back and essentially caress it (I have no other way to describe what she does), or maybe if you were to doze off in class, she would firmly grip your shoulder, lean by your desk and grab your hands or even run her hands through your hair, and no, I'm not exaggerating. Also guess what, these examples I gave you were things that she did to me in just one day. That day being today. Also, recently the seats in health were rearranged, and my seat is perpendicular to her desk. Now—I don't know if she's just incredibly caring or if she's actually... attracted to me... (I honestly feel disgusted saying that). Also, I'm not sure if this is helpful to state, but I am one of the few people that can go through sex-ed without cracking a smile (so in general i can control myself quite well). Also, she does ask me some personal questions such as: "do you have a crush?" or "what are you doing this tonight?" whilst trying to hold in a little giggle. So... what do you think... |
Question: Friends with benefits or dating? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:21 PM PDT So a few weeks ago me and my best friend saw how close our high school lives were to their ends so we figured, why not enjoy it to the max? So we became friends with benefits, and since then things have been great, but one thing started to bother me lately. Yes, we had always been touchy-feely with each other and we would always come over to each other houses and buy gifts for each other even when we weren t hooking up. Now, we both show affection and have feelings towards each other. Now, my only question is how is this anything different than actual dating? I mean we didn t want anything serious because we are both going away for college and long distance hasn t worked out for either of us in the past, but I feel like this is more than just casual hook ups. Even though we agreed to keep it casual and open, neither of us is seeing another person outside. So I don t know what to think anymore, what is this? |
Question: I have a crush but he's too shy? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:20 PM PDT I have a crush on someone I briefly work with. I see him once a week for constant short periods of time. I've noticed him about 4 months ago but we don't talk much. He is very quiet & responds with 1 word answears & he said "hi" to me first last week & smiled when I responded. I think he likes me. he has never had a girlfriend & is quiet towards everyone. We're both in our 20's I think it's the lack of girl experience that makes him not make any moves. how can I get him to talk more to me? He knows I like him but i think he might feel awkward? I didn't say hi to him hoping he'd say hi again & now I feel bad :( I like him so much. Any tips? Would it be creepy to suggest we hangout sometime even though we hardly talk? |
Question: Will I ever get a boyfriend? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:20 PM PDT I'm a teenager in high school. And all of my friends have been asked out or have had guys like them or even just look at them. But I don't get that. I'm not socially weird or anything. I'm not popular but I'm not lame. I'm in the middle. I have guy friends. But nobody ever seems to like me or think I'm pretty. I like my body, but not my face. What's wrong with me? Will I ever get a boyfriend? *and I have tried faking confidence or actually having some |

Question: Does my FWB want more? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:17 PM PDT So, my FWB and I have been a thing for a little while, but recently I ve started to notice some things. We talk every day, it usually goes back to sex but we talk about each other s days and things like that. He also doesn t always respond right away. We ve always cuddled after sex but the last couple of times he s made a point of holding my hand during. The last time I saw him we got dinner together, we paid separately, and after he suggested stopping at a few stores just to look around. I ve asked him about what he wants from this relationship and he insists that he doesn t want a real relationship, that he just wants the friends with benefits deal, but I m not so sure and I don t know how to confront it. |

Question: Lack of affection..? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:15 PM PDT Ive been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years. We are long distance by 2 hours and only spend weekends with each other. He never says he misses me or calls me pretty beautiful or compliments me at all. He says that its just not who he is to be affectionate but i've told him so many times that its something i need. it makes me feel bad and question whether is really likes me or not. if it weird that he never says anything sweet to me? |
Question: My boyfriend told me he was still in love with his ex, what do I do? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:13 PM PDT so my bf recently told me he was still in love with his ex. she is still in love with him too. but he told me he can't decide between us because he also loves me. I don't want to be the girl that says pick me not her but I really love him. the catch is that we are long distance but she lives where he does and I can't compete with that which is why I am scared he will pick her. what do I do? |
Question: How should I respond to this? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:12 PM PDT I have been friends with this girl since last year and we have gotten quite close over the past few months. I started to develop feelings for her, thought she liked me as well and I told her how I felt a few days back but she said that we should just stay as friends. I initially agreed to it since i didnt know what else to say and i was a little nervous but now that i have thought about it i feel like it is a bad idea and i wont be able to move on. We have the same classes together and will contimue to do so until June of this year. I don't want to seem like a jerk since i know i cant change the way she feels about me but we hang out almost everyday and i was going to stop doing that and hang out ewih my other friends instead and at the same time not give her as much attention as i used to now that she has made it clear where we stand. Also should I not talk to her as much in class and stuff, which i have been doing for the past few days anyway. |

Question: My girlfriend s father won t allow her to see me anymore? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:08 PM PDT I punched my father in the face (he deserved it. You don t need to know about it. Living arrangements are shaky.) and word got out about it. Her father obviously thinks I m a delinquent and will neither take her word nor my word for it, and I don t know what to do, at this point. He won t let her come near me, and I have very little to value in my life. I know how pathetic that sounds. We re both 17, so limitations are present. I would never want to disrespect his ruling. I know that s his daughter and trust me, I ve done enough wrong by him without his knowledge. I just want her back. |

I don t know why he is doing this. He broke up with me and I moved on and he won t leave me alone. He doesn t live in the same town so I can file restraint order in my county. It s almost like he s rubbing it in he left me. |

I'm so awkward around girls and everyone notices and then my face gets like burning hell red. I'm so bad with girls :/ I know they're just other humans but something, idk what, I just can't get a girl to like me or get s girlfriend. Also whenever I talk to a girl the conversation dies fast because I don't know what to talk about! I know you're supposed to find common interests but that's so hard! Thanks |
Question: My sister in law drives me crazy!!!? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 07:03 PM PDT my wife sister is the most annoying person in my life, i can't stand her. she has no job she, lives of her boyfriend (baby daddy). she seems to always compete with us money wise. or at least it seem like that to me, my wife don't see it, we both work and we both make pretty decent money, and she seems to have a problem with that, always making weird comments implying that we are rich, (we are not). if we ask her to baby sit our kid for an hour or two she asks if we are going to pay her, like don't you want to see your niece? we take her daughter on some weekends just so she can play with ours. there was a time where she had almost broken up with her bf, and asked to live with us, she fixed it but i was ready to say "if she's in, I'm out" how do i deal with this? any one else have a sister in law they just don't get along with? |

Posted: 16 Mar 2016 06:54 PM PDT Me and this girl were FWBs for two weeks, then she all of a sudden got mad at me. Ever since then she`s been being a ***** to me ONLY! Then just today I told her "you`re being a ***** to me!", she said "I know it`s my favorite pass time activity!" Now I feel bad for calling her a *****, and I want us to be FWBs again, or at least just friends. How can I apologize to her, and fix this situation? P.S. I tried asking her why she was mad at me and she either tells me: 1: You know why I`m mad at you! 2: The only person I open up to is my sister. Also would it be a good idea to talk to her sister? Maybe get an idea of what`s going on with her. |
Question: Gift idea for an advisor? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 06:54 PM PDT It is for a law club, so maybe something related to that. She is a middle age woman, likes Star Wars and musicals, and Dolphins... I don't know what to get her, but our team wants it to be personal, so not just a gift card or mug like we would normally do |
Question: Is sleeping randomly everyday normal? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 06:53 PM PDT I've been in a relationship with my girlfriend for 5 months now. Today is actually our 5 month. And she has the really bad habit of falling asleep randomly. Usually this happens 1-3 times a day, almost every day. I start to get worried sometimes because this happens often. I'm not very familiar with disorders so I'm not sure this is serious or not. She said this has been happening for about 4-5 years now. I was talking to this about my mom and she said it might be a disorder, but I'm still not so sure about things. So is it normal to fall asleep unintentionally almost every day? I know that sounds kind of obvious, but I need to an answer to reassure me. Thank you in advance. |

Question: Weird feeling in a relationship, why am I feeling it? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 06:53 PM PDT I've been dating this girl for 3 months and I really like her. We were best friends before we started dating. And we decided to give it a try. This also my first relationship but it seems like there's something that isn't right anymore. Like that initial excitement I had with her is gone and everything is so real and I keep questioning if I still want this and I don't know why I'm questioning it, it's bothering the **** out of me. I still care about her and I love her but I'm so stressed out and it seems like there's so much drama surrounding our relationship. We've broken up 3 times and then we get back together the very next day but every time we break up, I feel like there's something that I can't get over, like it's not allowing me to be happy. I know none of this is her fault because she's been there for me since forever and I'm the one that keeps breaking it off, I'm breaking this girl down and I'm driving her crazy. She's been there for me since the beginning and she's been there for me at my lows so idk why I can't be happy. I'm hella stressed because of this ****. |
Question: Is it cold to not respond to my ex saying that I'm making him depressed by not answering? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 06:53 PM PDT He knows my heart and if I start to feel bad for him I might give in. the sad thing is I don't imagine by any stretch he would do the same for me, however I know not to lean on him. The thing is he truly did not cherish me in the way a man should cherish his girl. He gave me a taste of it but he does not deserve my excuses or my love. Not anymore. I was in denial for a while so it's easy to fall back into that if I give him the time of day. He wants me as his comforter, his little stuffed animal, he wants me the way he wants me. Just like my new favorite song "It'a You" by Zayn except reversed as I'm the girl. He got, he got his own reasons for talking to me He don't, he don't give a....about what I need And I don't know why because my brain can't equate it, Tell me your lies because I just can't face it. It's you |

Question: How to stop obsessesing over her? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 06:52 PM PDT I have this friend we make out and ****. And she is a good friend blah blah. Only problem is every now and then I obsess over her like bad like annoying bad. But she always says its fine she understands that I think to much sometimes. I dont think its fine because now I think she enjoys when I go litterally crazy over her thats why she keeps leading me on without actually starting a relationship. She likes keeping my as her make out buddy and ****. So my question is how can I either turn the tables. Have her obsess over me. Or just drop her completely. |

Question: Do girls like guys who are hard working and not so experienced in dating? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 06:52 PM PDT I'm 28 year old male. I'm not a party animal or a fratboy. I work 25 to 30 hours a week, usually 5 days a week and I'm a full time student hoping to transfer to elite 4 year universities. I grew up from a relatively poor household, the only male in the household and I worked hard to provide myself with money I needed and helped my family after graduating high school in early 20's I attended school part time but got carried away with work, stopped going for 5 years and came back to school and now I'm a 3.8 GPA student hoping to transfer to elite 4 year universities. Because I was underprivileged, I stayed away from friends, I didn't date much, didn't go out much didn't have fun much. Although I learned a lot and grew as a human being by building character, because I didn't date much, I don't have much game, I don't flirt much. I just try to be a good human being by being honest and kind but I'm not hot or attractive or anything. I'm not hideous or short but I don't look hot or have a pretty face or a nice car or a muscular body. I will work on it though, and I don't dress bad. Good thing is I'm not socially awkward or anything. I just lack so much in game because of not having much experience, and I wasn't trying to be honest, because of priorities. Even now my first goal is to transfer to UCLA or UC Berkeley and get a job after that so that I can become a CEO in a long run, to own my own business after a successful career. But right now, I don't have much to offer. Next week, on my 29th birthday, I will be working. No one to cover my shift and I'm fine with that. I mean, juggling with school and work, no one is forcing me to do it so I'm not sad but I do feel very lonely sometimes but I'm only getting older and time is precious and I can't really waste my time with women who are not real with me |
Question: What does my ex want from me? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 06:52 PM PDT So...we dated for a year. He broke up with me when he moved to another state. He said he didn't want to risk our relationship ending slowly and as painfully as his first one, so he'd rather end it on good terms so that our love would be untainted. He loved me more than the girl he had been engaged to and said that he would never stop loving me. He moved. Two weeks later, my family circumstances changed and I decided to move in with my family in the same state he moved to. I feared him rejecting me, so I didn't tell him that I moved to the same state. Two months after we broke up, I had a dream that I would see him on March 16th. I thought it was just a dream. But I actually saw him today. He was surprised that I moved and apologized for the recent deaths in my family. He told me that I could contact him anytime and smiled at me and initiated a hug with me. This was after he rashly said we couldn't talk anymore two months ago. I'm still in love with him, but I didn't want to be rejected, so I didn't say that I did. What do I do? |

Question: Should I confront him? Posted: 16 Mar 2016 06:49 PM PDT So I've just been feeling a little weird/insecure lately. But here's some background. So my boyfriend has been unfaithful in the past, he had been sending inappropriate messages and receiving inappropriate pictures from a girl. This was about a year ago though. We got past it and have been better. I used to be very insecure and I once saw a picture of a girl my boyfriend knew wearing a shirt, the same one that I had. My boyfriend had gotten me that as a gift and it turns out that he had gotten it for her as a gift too. He says she's her friend, but he never talks to me about her like he does with his other female friends. And other very small things that had made me feel insecure about this girl. This was awhile ago. But recently when he's with me, I see messages coming in from this girl and even saw a call between them on his phone. I read his messages (I know I shouldn't have) and he even went over to her house once to visit her. Should I ask him about her? Why he never talks to me about her? What's up with them? I'm feeling pretty insecure and not sure what I should do. |
