I'm 30 ******* years old. My best friend from high school is getting married and asked me to be a bridesmaid, and I was honored to say yes.  She didn't say any plus ones, so I can't bring anyone, but I don't know how to interact with the other bridesmaids/guests in general as I've always been terrible as social interactions, have the emotional maturity of a ten-year-old, and no confidence. I have very few friends and I always feel like they pity me.  How do I navigate this without making my friend feel like she has to babysit me? I want her to have fun at her wedding; not remember the annoying girl that followed her around. Should I just drink a lot? I feel like that might be worse.

I'm a bridesmaid, we have the rehearsal then the dinner afterwards. After the dinner we're supposed to help prep for the big day! It was more of a verbal invite then sending invitations out. What should I wear!! I always stress this! Personally I'm not a dressy person. I also can't wear heals due to my bad foot. Are a nice pair of jeans acceptable with a dress shirt?
