Question: Are there any "normal" recreational drug users? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 06:34 PM PDT In the past year I dabbled around in drugs and I've been hanging out with recreational drug users Most of them seem to have jobs but after a while I noticed they have certain "ticks" or abnormalities like short tempers and they don't seem capable or interested in holding a conversation if it's say a Wednsay night and they're not high on mdma and coke. Is this typical? Is it a waste of time to expect genuine friendships from these people? Basically they're just party friends? |
Question: Our friendship has lasted a long time despite our differences? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 04:53 PM PDT |
Question: I need adult friends ? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 04:01 PM PDT I'm so lonely. My husband sucks, I work 2 jobs, both with kids and then I come home to my kids. No adult interaction ever. My friends are at a different point in their life so we don't ever talk anymore. I just need adults to talk to. Are their any online sites that could work for me? |
Question: I feel like my friend is copying me or looks up to me? Is that good or bad? ? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 03:29 PM PDT My friend has really no guidance in her life and no one to tell her the good or bad things in life. She doesn't really talk much to people or have people in her life that can give her advice. She knows I love my job and she recently got a job at target and now just quit target after five months and now at a new job. I started drinking energy drinks because they help through out the day and now she's like if you can drink those I can drink those too. I took myself off of social media on the map thing on Snapchat and now she did to. She knows I get really good good grades and now all of a sudden she passing in all three of her classes when she has been failing the last few years but then she will tell me at the end of the semester that she has to retake all of them. The only thing she doesn't copy is my style but she seems to copy everything else? Do you guys have any advice for me on what she doing? |
Question: Should I reconnect with old friends? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 02:09 PM PDT I'm currently a 20-something who feels sort of lost and nostalgic. I find that I have not really changed much while everyone around me is getting married, traveling, having children, moving away, etc. So I'm not exactly satisfied with my own life right now, or maybe just not satsfied with the image of my life. I moved around a lot as a teen so I never kept friends for very long and its hard to keep in touch. But there are people I miss and would love to reconnect with. But its been years. I almost feel like it would be weird or maybe they don't even remember me. But I have difficulty making new friends and I particularly miss the period of my life when I knew the people Im referring to. Would you? Is it even worth it or would this seem strange? |
Question: My friend says she wants to push me down a flight of stairs? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 01:22 PM PDT She sounds serious. What should i do? |
Question: Why do people always dislike me? Or see me as a nobody? ? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 12:32 PM PDT Ever since I was little, I've always been bullied. An now that I'm an adult, i realize people still see me as this annoyance. But, i have realized WOMAN are my top bullies, primarily LATINA and BLACK woman. (I am from Brasil, but I resemble rosario Dawson skin tone). I cannot even introduce myself, before they already have this idea made up about me.. they usually will ignore anything I have to say, make fun of how I dress, or look, or make fun of my glasses. Then they will bring male coworkers, or standbys in to humiliate me. Im older and still receive this type of dislike to me. I'm always smiling, which I have been told It makes me look goofy.. but, most people come for me looking like a nerd. I don't consider myself very ugly. I give myself a score of, 6.5/10, 10 being the best. |

Question: My close married male friend is pulling away... what gives? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 11:01 AM PDT He and I (I'm a single female) were really good friends but lately he's pulling away. Nothing happened to warrant this... So what makes someone act this way? He has been a really good friend and I don't know what to do cause I don't want to lose him. (Before you ask, yes I met his wife, no we aren't friends.) |

Question: How do we say thank you for what a friend did for us? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 08:10 AM PDT I work for a company that is laying off people mostly women because of lack of business. Many of these women are single moms and their job is their only source of income. The company told us that if we upgraded our skills to use a computer it would be easier to find other jobs in the company. They got a former employee Bill to volunteer to train us on computers on our lunch hour. Bill also on his own time spent many hours at night and weekends training us. It was hard work for us but luckily we all found other jobs with the company. Bill is a 22 year old single guy that we all love what he did for us. We want to do something VERY SPECIAL for him to show our appreciation. Any suggestions? What can a bunch of gals do for Bill that will he will remember for a long time? Guys, what would be the BEST thing we girls could do for you that would make you say "THAT WAS GREAT"? |
Posted: 17 Oct 2019 07:59 AM PDT My friend at school told me her boyfriend was hung. Ask her how that could be as I saw him this morning. She thought that question was very funny. Is she nuts? |
Question: He Seems Fine to Me? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 07:57 AM PDT I'm starting to like this guy at my high school. All my friends (but one) say he's really annoying, loud, and obnoxious. Whenever he talks to me, he's actually really, really nice, calm, and collected. I'm having a Halloween party in about a week or so, and I want to invite him. My one friends thinks I should, and my parents really like him and think he should come too. I don't want to make everyone else feel uncomfortable. What should I do? |
Question: Should I reach out to a friend after a fight from over a year and half ago? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 05:26 AM PDT I had a friend from high school that I lost touch with after moving away for college. She rekindled our friendship after my mother passed away a few years ago. Long story short, we had a falling out after a fight and she hasn't spoken to me in over a year and a half. It happened after a beer festival where we were both drunk. We had just taken a Lyft to my bf's friend's place in Brooklyn and while she was chatting it up with one of his friends I went to find a bathroom at the coffee shop just up the street. I called her while I was there to let her know I was just using the bathroom and she was extremely upset. I returned to her yelling at me for having left her "stranded". We were both intoxicated and a few choice words were said...mostly her calling me a ***** and me justifying the situation by saying she would always leave me stranded while she flirted with guys at clubs she would drag me to. She didn't seem to like that and said our friendship was over. I thought this was just said in a drunken state and even though we didn't speak the rest of the night, I thought the anger would just go away eventually. She left my place the next morning and it has been over 1.5 years since that fight..no word from her. Is she just good at holding a grudge or should I just not bother at this point reaching out? We had a lot of fun times together and even though we had our differences, I never thought one tiny fight would just end the friendship. I'm very bothered by it. |
Question: I stopped talking to my friend after she called me ugly. Do you think I'm overreacting? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 05:25 AM PDT So lately my friend is so into cosmetics and beauty that she is planning to save money just in case she decides to get cosmetic surgery. Even though I don't agree with the things that she is doing but I still want to support her no matter what. What caused us to fell out was when she was promoting some eyebrows embroidery salon to get some incentives and discounts. She was trying to convince to spend my money to get my eyebrows done and I told her to let me think about it. Until one day I finally told her no and that why should I spend money on that when I can just draw my eyebrows? She got mad at me and then said this to me "Do you want to wake up looking ugly every morning?". I was shocked by what she said and asked her that is that what she thinks of me? That I'm ugly? She told me that "That's not what she thinks but it's the truth that I am indeed an eyesore and not just to her. And maybe if I would actually investing some money into plastic surgery then I wouldn't have to worry about looks." We then fell out after that and ever since then. Just yesterday I received a text from her saying that she missed me as a friend. But I'm still hurt by what she said hence I did not reply to her text Do you think I overreacted with what she said? |
Question: Is it normal to be so happy about having your first boyfriend at a belated age? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 04:11 AM PDT When I was at school I had neither friends nor boyfriend. Now this sort of prince falls for me. And I'm like, is he kidding me? Why should he fall for me? I have always been either rejected or not wanted, so I was kinda used to it. Then he comes and changes everything, the loneliness goes away, the low self esteem goes away, I start feeling alive for the first time. It's weird when you always feel like nothing and suddenly feel alive. He is just perfect for me, cute, shy, romantic, I like it so much when he smiles when he's talking to me or when hid eyes shine. I swear I have never seen shining, watery eyes like his. He helps me, wants to carry my things, is well mannered with elderly people and kids, he avoids to touch me or make me feel uncomfortable, on the bus he always leaves his seat for pregnant women and elderly people or kids. He's just... perfect for my eyes. Hardworking, cute, protective. And he insisted on me, I was too shy at the beginning to just say hello. I wonder how this all happened. Why did he notice me first, why did he blush looking at me the first time? Why when I was at school I was always mistreated? How can he come and change everything? Why do I feel so protected and happy when I am in his arms, and feel hid chest against my cheek, his perfume, his clothes? Why when he smiles at me I just melt? He was also so cautious not to talk at his friends about me. He just never says too much about us, just that we're together. He's shy too. |
Question: Are my parents right? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 01:35 AM PDT This is not about the condo thing from a previous post. They are also annoyed with because I did this. I got a switch last month thru money I saved from second semester and I worked with my friend in her dad's company during the summer. I wanted a switch just for smash. My parents were facepalming when they found out I got the switch just for One game. They said "YOU HAVE A PS4 ALREADY!!!! WHY GET A DAMN SWITCH". I told them "It's my money I can spend whatever I want as long it aint drugs or something illegal". I saved up for a switch jsut for smash ultimate. When I heard how good it was thats when I made plans to save up. |
Question: Are these signs of attraction? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 01:23 AM PDT I have started college and met this girl. On the first day she sat to my right. At break time I got up to go to the canteen and noticed she was standing in the gangway to my left taping the buttons on her phone and standing there as if waiting for something. At the last minute I decided not to go to the canteen and sat back down. I noticed this girl come straight back and sit back to the right of me (not right next to me but adjacent). The second lesson I sat behind her and I remember looking round at the girl sitting next to me briefly (a second) and then looked at me for about 3 seconds. The third lesson we sat next to each other and just had a general chat. But on the fourth lesson, I came in a bit late and she was sitting talking to this girl and I sat next to this girl. However, her face seemed to light up and immediately started talking to me, as if the girl between us didn't exist. Since then she has come with me to the canteen and to speak the security guard. I suggested last week to meet up to revise together and she suggested places to revise, such as Costas and Starbucks and which ones are quiet. Today we still spoke and had a laugh together, but when I brought up us meeting up to revise she seemed to agree but seemed awkward. Afterwards she would engaged in chatting again and asked about ,y favourites foods, what I eat etc and said she liked some of the food I liked. On leaving she gave me her number and I gave her mine about meeting up |
Question: How to comfort my friend? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 12:47 AM PDT she said she hate her oily skin anyway advice how can I tell her she is beautiful |
Question: 19yr old going after a 15yr old? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 12:44 AM PDT My friend won't listen to anyone when we tell her this guy is bad for her and only using her. They've dated in the summer which I disapprove off and they kissed and that and he broke things off because he doesn't want his dad to find out because he's been caught noncing on another cadet and got demoted, she'd rather lose our friendship and to be with that guy than keep our friendship (not just mine others that disapprove) I just don't know how to get through to her that she'll regret it Like last time, he's made her cry almost very night and he's not trust worthy but she won't listen to us |
Question: How to comfort my bestfriend ? Posted: 17 Oct 2019 12:25 AM PDT she said she hate her oily skin any good compliments that tell she is beautiful. |
Question: Why do people that despise me the most tend to follow me around? Posted: 16 Oct 2019 11:11 PM PDT |
Posted: 16 Oct 2019 10:04 PM PDT A friend and I ran into a guy she knew and we were invited to go somewhere with him and some other guys. They took us to a strip club where my friend stripped. One of the guys gave me a pill and I took it, which was foolish on my part. I blacked out shortly after. I woke up at 7 pm the next night in my bathroom floor. I went to bed and slept until noon the next day. I called my friend and she wouldn't tell me anything at first. She eventually told me that we went to a motel and a guy had sex with me with her and the other guys in the room, then he put me in the bathtub and had sex with me. She said my eyes were open so I was not unconscious. I am humiliated that this was done to me. I don't know what happened and what everyone saw. I wasn't planning on going anywhere that night, so if I had to be stripped and had sex with in front of others, that wasn't the best time.I asked one of the guy's friends and he said, you're not saying he raped you are you, you're not saying he raped you? I said no. I have no recollection of anything but according to my friend, I seemed okay. My question is, would this be considered rape? Should I be upset about what happened? |
Question: Is my friend trying to manipulate me? Posted: 16 Oct 2019 09:19 PM PDT I have a friend who gets weird when I say I don't want to hang out. They'll claim I don't like them and won't take no for an answer and will keep texting me and trying to make me change my mind. Texts like "why do you hate me" are not uncommon. I would say they're a very emotional person. They cry a lot about their problems or experiences (and send pictures of them crying) so in this situation I never know if they are actually upset or are just trying to get their way.Regardless, it gets on my nerves and sometimes I just flat out ignore them. What's weirder is that this kind of attitude is completely absent when we hang out in person. We never have arguments or anything. It's almost like they're a different person over the phone. One thing that stays consistent is that they often tell me in person and over text that they feel like they take everyone's crap all the time and that their life is always falling apart. I personally don't think it's fair to downplay anyone's struggles, but I will admit sometimes it sounds a little superficial or overdramatized. I know this all extremely vague and some of that information is irrelevant, but if you have any advice it's greatly appreciated. Are they just trying to manipulate me? How should deal with texts like that? Am I just an unfeeling monster? Thanks in advance for any advice! |
Question: Is it okay to be spoiled? Posted: 16 Oct 2019 08:32 PM PDT I know that I am certainly very spoiled. Spoiled rotten, in fact. I have many nice things for a teen, have been treated to the best of the best, etc. Yet I don't think I am a brat. I do not flaunt my (parents') wealth, and I try to be grateful. So, is it okay for me to be spoiled? But, am I a spoiled brat? |
Question: Gross Roommate Issue? Posted: 16 Oct 2019 08:06 PM PDT Sorry, this is long but please read...I am a college student (female) and recently moved in with a new roommate. She was nice at first but became cold and selfish once I moved in. She would open the windows even though spiders were getting on my things and wouldn't move furniture to make room for me (she didn't have a roommate before me this year). I try to start conversations but she doesn't seem interested which is fine. I noticed the other day that she throws her tampon wrappers and plastic piece in her garbage which is by the door, and the first thing you see when you walk in. I find it gross and embarrassing. How should I ask her to stop? I don't want to make it super awkward for her but it's really grossing me out. Please help. |
Question: Do you think some people maybe can tell if someone is a loner (adults)? Posted: 16 Oct 2019 07:53 PM PDT When you're not in school most of the week forcibly around the same kids...how obvious can it be if you're a loner (aka someone who has no friends and hangs out with nobody)? Just curious. |
Question: Is it much better to paint than to play the guitar? Posted: 16 Oct 2019 07:31 PM PDT I really HATE guitar and I touch it for more than ten years and this Monday was the last time I even touch a damn guitar and I hope I pass art classes instead of the F*CKING GUITAR. I hope my dad really agrees with me and I hope to start art classes with a man named Ruben Arze Alba. |
Question: Why do my friends’ parents hate me? Posted: 16 Oct 2019 07:18 PM PDT All three of my friends' parents are friends, so me and my family are sort of an external force to them. I understand that they may not feel comfortable, but whenever the four of us try to plan things, one of the parents always has a problem. When the three of my friends go and do things without me (I don't like going out often and I don't get fomo from this), all of their parents are totally fine with it. What's up with that? |
Question: How do I talk to my friend about her cutting herself? Posted: 16 Oct 2019 06:33 PM PDT My friend has been cutting for a long time and it has concerned me and my friends for a while but I had never actually seen them myself. We have gym class together and she was trying really hard to hide them. Recently shes been having family problems and on top of that one of our friends is being a jerk and saying that she was going to kill herself if my friend who cuts doesnt date her. But today in gym when we went to the locker room me and my friend saw her cuts. They were long and dark, new. Me and my friend were nauseous but we continued to smile and talk to her. Shes the happiest brightest person I know and it pains me to know she s hiding some deeper emotions. How do I talk to her about it without making her mad because if we tell her dad they probably won t have enough money for her to see a therapist, we have been thinking about all pitching in to help pay for it but in all how should we confront her about it without her being upset? Shes always seemed a little off and too cheery but shes acting really strange lately and were scared that shes going to take it to the point of ending her life. |
Question: Friend told me that his cousin died...should I be doing anything? 10 pts? Posted: 16 Oct 2019 01:00 PM PDT a male friend that friendzoned me a while back told me last week that his cousin died . He had told me a few minutes after his cousin had died and he said he had to find his mother. I offered my condolences in the email and told him to let me know if there is anything I can do for him. I don't talk to him as much as I used to but this all happened about 2 days ago and I have not heard from him since. We were making tentative plans to get together prior to all of this. I consider him a friend but I dont know him enough to just visit him at his house. Would it be okay to wait until next week to see how he is doing? Or should I be doing something sooner than that? will choose a best answer I should probably mention that the entire correspondence with him was via email. I also dont know how close he is to his cousin. I did ask him in the email but like I said, he did not respond. |
