When she is with me, she doesn't go crazy drinking but when she is without me she does,(Parties) she can not control herself. She will keep going going until she is gone . She is not 21 and she drinks at these family events or get together. We are both 20 and have known each other for many years, and care for each other deeply. She does not drink on a regular basis, but when she drinks she cannot drink casually in a social situation or within reason. She drinks and gets f'ed up and I'm really concerned that this could turn into a more serious alcohol problem As we get further into adulthood. Tonight she became so drunk with friends and family, never answered my texts or calls for hours and finally came home. I am not the type to get angry or lash out but this is starting to make me upset, get anxiety when she goes to these parties, I know this is going to happen each time, and nobody does anything about it. I remind her she has work in the morning to not go too crazy and she does anyway. My father was an alcoholic and made my household a living hell because of it, so I am sensitive to the subject to where I don't think I can be with an alcoholic. I texted her and told her I'd like to help and she was so confused). He lied to me to prove a point, but didn't think I would believe him even though he was dead serious. Today was an off day because i was busy with my work and i couldn't text him back as much. He texted me at 1:30 p. m. and the text said "hey what are you doing?" I didn't see the text until 4:23. As i was typing my reply he sent another text and it said "damn you blocked me" and i responded "no I'm at work" He then said "okay i thought i had lost you that quick" |
