She doesn't sleep well at night anymore wether its storming or not mainly on stormy nights she can't sleep. She hasn't slept well since the Memorial Day tornados of this year that ran through here in Ohio. We don't get tornadoes very much there was one not far from us and one in Dayton where her family is. Luckily nobody died. She got a tornado warning on her phone which she never got it woke her up and scared her. She stayed up half the night crying. It woke us up about 10 it took me till 2 in the morning to get her to calm down. It scares her because were in a trailer out in the woods with no basement no shelter. She loves the movie Twister but the scene at the begging where the girl lost her father in the tornado always scares her thinking she or her family can get sucked into a tornado whenever we have heavy rain or a tornado warning that scene always comes through her head. We live in south eastern Ohio we don't get tornadoes very rarely. The thought of it still scares her. How can I help her get over this fear ? In this show she was watching a woman and her two daughters were running out in town during the tornado trying to find shelter one of the daughters died. My girlfriend is worried that'll be us if it ever happens. |
