You know, parties, experiencing different relationships, and just having the freedom of being single. This is all because i've been dating the same guy for almost 3 years. Speaking from personal experience, please give me your opinion, what is better? Is having a relationship with one person during high school/college better or is experiencing parties and having fun as a single high schooler better? Posted: 15 Oct 2019 07:42 PM PDT Ok so basically in fifth grade we were best friends and he had a crush on me and i had a crush on him and we both liked each other into sixth grade and then i told him at the end and he said he liked me back but nothing happened. I still liked him until the end of seventh grade when i got really mad at him and didn't talk to him for the whole summer and into eighth grade where I am now. So then we became friends again. I obviously caught feelings because I can't help it after liking him for 4 years. Now we talk every day and sometimes we talk about baseball and hockey after school for a few hours. We always look at each other and joke around and he does little things to make me laugh and smile such as syncing the videos on our computers and i'm not sure if the way people look at you means anything but he has these bold eyes whenever he looks at me. He sometimes will poke me with his pencil or touch me leg with his foot or we'll bump knees but he'll bump mine a few more times. I would say we're pretty good friends, we don't have deep conversations but the conversations we have are consistent and 50/50 when it comes to who starts them. (also my bsf likes him 😬) We hang out after school sometimes with our other friends and occasionally in school when we're doing a group activity he'll scooch in closer to me so that our arms are just touching. Idk if he likes me tho, last time i confessed in seventh grade he said i would be like a 3 on his list, but we weren't that close then. |

You wouldn't be able to tell just from talking to him because he is mostly normal but often struggles with hearing stuff and has a hard time gauging what he should say in situations. He has been seeing a girl that seemed to really like him. She told him that they are "friends" but it seems to be more than that they kiss and have slept together. He doesn't like the idea of that, and has asked her on formal dates many times, to which she said yes, but they haven't done. A few weeks ago, he found out one of her closest friends had died, and he drove an hour to see her and left her hand-picked flowers and a heartfelt letter on her door. She sent messages to him saying how much she appreciated it and how sweet that he really cared about her so much and how much she valued his friendship. He's been trying to talk to her again, and she's been incredibly distant. He's opened up to her about a lot of emotional stuff he's gone through with along with continued encouragement only to be left on read and ignored. He said to me "if her losing her friend, the stress of grad school / coming out have made it too much for her to handle responding to me, maybe I should take a break from trying to talk to her for a while." This broke my heart, because he has always been the person who felt like hes destined to be alone. I want to encourage him and say shell come around eventually but I'm worried. What advice should I give him? |

I confronted him the next day,and ended up leaving with my breaths heaving because I was trying to hold in sobs that were fighting to escape my lips.He said he didn't care.But,I know him better than that. I didn't come back the following night and ended up leaving the state to return home a few weeks later. I asked him to repeat back to me that he had no feelings for me at all and never will again.He did repeat it, but he didn't say he wouldn't ever again. That's the last time we spoke. Maybe I wanted too much. Also, he was smoking pot everyday.Did not want to reduce it.And smoked around the kid.I wanted us to go to therapy, or to try new activities. He also had financial problems and was hard to take care of us. For me, it wasn't easy to find one. It is not easy to start off at a new place. At the end we hurt each other a lot. I said things, he did. Then he discarded me brutally after I made a lot of efforts to keep us together. It's work. But you can't just sit on the couch and think that things will get fixed.When he did end things,he was cruel. Now I am left in an empty apartment and a foggy future.He moved to a house that we were supposed to live together.I understood that he is seeing other people already and we are not even divorced yet. |

It took him a lot to call it what it was. Originally, he tried to make excuses for him. For example, he tried to say "I just think he was just young and really horny.. I don't think it was a big deal". I feel like that is him trying to make it less than what it was. He said his brother promised him a toy if he let him do what he wanted.. he never got it. I know this is a form of grooming. I think he thinks since he "agreed" to it, that he's not a victim. But a 10 year old is not capable of making that decision, nor would they be fully capable of understanding what it is and what it means. I have extreme issues seeing his brother at family functions and such. I look at him in disgust. He was 14-15, and I know that at that age, I was able to know if what I was doing was right or wrong. His brother complains that we don't reach out or see him, so my boyfriend feels bad.. and I don't understand. How can you feel bad or feel sympathy for someone who did that to you? My boyfriend also has a 3 year old son and I've mentioned that I'm scared of his brother being alone with him. He doesn't think he would do anything to him, but I'm not so sure. I have no luck at all with finding love, to some people it may not seem that bad but I'm a 19 year old guy and I have never had a girlfriend and I struggle with finding a girl that likes me back. I've been talking to a girl and we've hungout a lot and I started catching feelings and I started thinking that she had feelings for me too, until something happened and I came to the realization that it was just one way. We had plans tonight to go out to a show just the two of us and she canceled very last minute because she thought the show wouldn't be funny. If she really had some interest in me she wouldn't have cared if the show was funny or boring as hell she'd just want to spend time with me and that's clearly not what she wants. And I feel so stupid because I actually thought she might feel something. I would literally give her the world and treat her like the literal queen she is. I just can't stop thinking of her laugh, her smile, her way eyes and her everything. The worst part though is that this isn't the first time this happened to me, I've been rejected many times in the past and it must be that I'm doing something completely wrong because I just don't get it. I'm a decent looking guy, I like to think I have a pretty good sense of humor and I try to be as considerate as possible. I waited for his call I ended up falling asleep. This morning he text me saying good morning baby. I said good morning I waited for your call he said I know this phone is being retarded. We talked sporadically throughout 2 weeks and finally went on a date 3 days ago. We went to a museum and the date was okay. The conversation was fine, some laughs, some awkward silences. Afterwards we went to sit at a park and talked about a bunch of different things. Towards the end she said she had to leave because she didn't wanna take public transportation at night. She also said that she would send me a link to an anime we had talked about. I never got a link from her and just assumed we felt the same way about the awkward date. Today I checked my snapchat and there was a message from her from last night. She actually had sent me the link a whole 2 days later. She said "This is the link to the anime :P" I said "I forgot all about this thanks :)" She said "No prob bob!" I didn't open the last message yet but I slid the screen over so I know what she said. I don't know if I should respond. I like her enough to try again but what do I even say to her last message? If she thought the date was that bad wouldn't she just have not sent the link? Is she just being nice? Feel free to be harshly honest with me, I just cant decipher her vibe lol. |

He accused me of being negative and accusatory. Was this negative? How could I have worded this better? I also asked "why didn't you tell me?" to another question another day more recently concerning something good that happened to him. And he didn't get mad when I asked this way.
