Question: Why has my best friend acted weird and rude lately? Posted: 08 Oct 2019 03:55 PM PDT my friend group is super small because im homeschooled. my best friend has been acting different since school started she had liked all the stuff she used to but then she got these new friends and she acts completely different around them. even if they aren't there all she ever does is watch tv and complain about her siblings. we have had problems before, for example, me and her planned on hanging out together on my birthday but then she said she never wanted to hang out because she doesn't like my family, this happened on my birthday. then we decided to go on a camp thing during the summer and on the first day, she didn't want to do anything because "she didn't like it" even though she never gave it a chance. after that, we didn't have any problems until today. she called her sister fat and lazy and told her she should exercise more instead of drawing and being on her phone. I don't know if its cause she grew out of things and we are sorta drifting apart or if im just overreacting. could anyone please help? (btw I and her younger sister has been hanging out more) |

Question: Was he flirting with me? What do you think? Posted: 08 Oct 2019 01:43 PM PDT I work in an office with 11 other women. The company is installing a new computer system and one of their employees (BOB) is training us to use the new system. Bob is in his mid 20s, single and a GREAT looking guy. He makes all of want to be 10-15 years younger when we see him. He is also a VERY NICE guy. We call him a lot asking for help with the new computer system and some of my work mates even make up problems just so they can call him for help. Bob saw my name (June XXX) on my desk and said to me "I have a friend John XXX". Is that a relative? I told him sort of. John XXX is my ex husband. Bob said "I know John and I have seen John's current girlfriend". "I can see John is carrying on the tradition of dating only beautiful women". I think there is a compliment in there someplace or is that just wishful thinking on my part? What do you think? Should I have said thank you? |

Question: Why do i rarely manage to make friends? Posted: 08 Oct 2019 08:17 AM PDT im a girl and i have a very outgoing and fun personality. i like to laugh and joke around alot but i noticed my personality doesnt click too easily with other people. in highschool i only had 2 close friends, im always joking around with them about everything. my idea of a friendship is mainly being able to joke around but i havent been able to find many people like this. is my personality maybe a bit too simple to get on with? |
Question: Is my boyfriend too quiet? Posted: 08 Oct 2019 07:51 AM PDT My boyfriend and I recently hung with my best friend and her husband basically for the first time at a bar setting. My friend is really loud, aggressive and outspoken and her husband was cracking jokes etc. My boyfriend, however, has a very low voice and he's not very animated and he has a timid character about him so everyone was talking over him and he expressed that he's not crazy about being around loud and arrogant people. I'm a balance of everything when it comes to socializing, so her personality doesn't matter to me, she's a good person/friend regardless, but my BF couldn't get a word in the convo because he's so soft spoken and not aggressive. What do I tell my friend if they want to hang out again? I don't want to tell her that my mate thinks they're too loud and arrogant. How do I smooth it over for next time if they invite us? |

Question: Is this the right thing to do or is it childish thing to do on my friends part? Posted: 08 Oct 2019 05:58 AM PDT Sometimes I complained to my friend how this guy I like makes me upset. He doesn't make me upset all the time or often. It's either I get over how he made me upset or him and I work things out. My friends and I were having dinner at a restaurant he knew I would be there so he showed up. My friends never gave him a chance and never met him. They immediately started threatening to beat him up my friend wanted to slap him with an object. He wasn't doing anything wrong, he stayed at the people he was with, he was never rude to them or me. He was innocent. My friends wouldn't stop talking sh*t about him (we are not teenagers by the way) and wouldn't stop threatening him. I was mad at my friends. I messaged them on Facebook how they hurt me by talking sh*t about him. He didn't do anything that night to deserved yo be threatened to get beaten up or slapped. He didn't do anything that night to deserve them to talk sh*t about him. When I told my friends how they talked sh*t about him hurt me they told me they are doing it cause they care about me and don't want to see me the way I was with their ex boyfriend. They continued to talk sh*t and told lies about him knowing it hurts me when they talked sh*t about him. My friend told me she has her reasons (to talk sh*t) about him. She knows it hurts me and she continues to do it then she's also disrespecting me by not stopping. Is she being childish or is she doing the right thing? |

Posted: 08 Oct 2019 04:19 AM PDT I had a bad apartment situation and had to move. I was friends with one of them and the other resident treated me really badly and never considered me in any capacity. Anyway I got a drunkdial at one in the morning from him for the first time in two months not apologizing for his actions or trying to see how I was but to ask me if I had taken"his Christmas tree" in October. Now I'm not sure if it's healthy to maintain a friendship with the other roommate as the whole thing has been painful and created a lot of sadness and depression missing the good times but knowing I had to go. What should I do to move on? |
Question: Watching someone you have feelings for be with your good friend? Posted: 08 Oct 2019 02:27 AM PDT dealing with that **** now. fell hard for a girl/friend who doesn't see me. I could live with that even hoped she finds someone, but wasn't ready for that person to be my close friend....Now I can't stand being near them. The main problem is my friend knew that I had feelings for her and he didn't bother to tell me that he was interested and was entering a relationship with her. so now the only 2 people I hang out with flirt and act all cute and I'm here feeling blind sighted. |
Question: Why do people ignore me and underrate me? Posted: 07 Oct 2019 11:10 PM PDT I'm in high school & it's hard showing your confidence, especially if no one pays attention. Many ppl tell me I'm a very creative/smart person, & I would have a lot more friends if "I tried." I do try. I try to meet many ppl coming from diverse interests & social status. Like mutual conversations, I try not to talk too much & too less. It works for a while, until ppl begin to ignore me, like I'm not present. Whenever I make a really good class presentation or have good news regarding an art contest, etc, I receive underplayed reactions. Everyone just leavs me alone like I was always quiet to begin with. I'm not even prideful or show off the things I do well, I bring them up naturally like anyone else would with other school activities. I'm not feeling worth by my peers. Even ppl with the same interests as me follow this pattern, preoccupied talking with others, only to have disgusted faces when they do notice me. Sometimes ppl tell me I'm their "best friend" and their "favorite person," but their future interactions falls under the same pattern. I'm not shy nor extroverted, not handsome nor ugly, I'm not a pushover either. So what's wrong with me? How do I become the type of friend ppl want to pay attention to? |
Question: Should I be worried? Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:44 PM PDT My friend and I were having a friendly discussion about different languages and we disagreed. After awhile she just flat out blocked me, she's done this multiple times before. What should I do? I just thought I'd add more info. So she said that there's no need in learning a language that's gonna be dead (she was talking about Japanese) and I asked her how she knew it was gonna be dead and she said that she knows because of erosion. I told her that it was kind of rude to say that and she said that if she's so rude then she's gonna block me. (She said, "Ok I block you if I'm mean") I said no and she said bye bye I said pls ok bye. And then she blocked me. Ok another update because now that I'm thinking about it she's done a lot of bad stuff. I've known this friend since 1st grade and now we're in high school. We don't have any classes together or the same lunch. She told our other friend that I'm a bad friend because I didn't change my lunch period or AG period to talk to them. Even though I've told her multiple times that on the form it stated that I couldn't change lunch periods or class periods, I could only drop or add classes. I only have these two friends and I was devastated when I found out that she said this. I am always alone and it sucks. I don't wanna break off the friendship because I'd feel bad and like I said I have no other friends. But even in middle school when we'd all hang out they'd talk and I'd just walk behind them, not saying anything. IDK what to do kakfafvhasfdasfefah |
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:22 PM PDT She stole a lot of items from me and my other friends, one item was an IPod. She says she "lost" it but told someone she still had it but won't give it back too me. The ring was $50 and was my moms. So should I be able to get it back? |
Question: How to develop a relationship with a guy? How to know if he wants to be friends? Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:07 PM PDT I met a guy at my friends birthday party, and whenever he sees me at school he says hi ( even when I am walking with friends). Yesterday, I was sitting across a large room, and when he entered he waved at me and I smiled/ waved back. We don't know each other, and we only talked previously for a max of 5 mins.. We have no relationship whatsoever, and I was wondering how to be friends! Do guys do that to girls they want to be friends with? Or is he just polite? |
Question: What would you do in this situation? (Cancelling plans with a friend)? Posted: 07 Oct 2019 06:54 PM PDT Hey guys, I'm not sure what to do in this situation. My friend, let's call her Cleo, asked me to go to a haunted house with her and group of people this Friday about 2-3 weeks ago and I agreed to come, however, I was just told by one of my closest friends in college, let's call her Anna, that she was coming into town this weekend and she wanted me to come to her little get together, meaning I would have to cancel on Cleo. I feel really bad because Cleo had asked me already weeks ago, but Anna has already graduated and lives in another town 2 hours away, and she only comes into town once in a couple of months. The last time I saw her was almost 3 months ago when she graduated.... I feel really bad either way cancelling on either of them, but I really want to spend the weekend with Anna because I've missed her so much..... What would you guys do in this situation? I was thinking of canceling on Cloe and giving her an apology gift/halloween basket and explain, but I still feel really bad :( |
