Question: Is it normal that my mom makes me cry almost every day? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 12:48 PM PST I am 14 years old and my mom makes me cry each day. She constantly yells at me and makes me cry. The thought of talking to her makes me upset, is that normal, I don't think so. I don't know what I should do. She acts like I do nothing to help with the house when I am the one cleaning the kitchen, living room, my bathroom, my bedroom, the front hall, the piano room, and the dining room. What should I do?
Question: How long do you shower? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 12:07 PM PST I'm only asking because my mother and siblings say I take forever, which probably is true. A quick shower to me is 23-45 minutes. My regular showers are 1-2 hours and sometimes 2 hours and 30 minutes it feels like 15 minutes though. I'm not asking for "help" I'm asking because I want to know that I'm not the only one. I know I'm wasting water which is what I think about when I do shower. I timed myself, I always do, I am no troll believe me or not. Today I took an hour and 9 minutes. I try to limit it every day, though.
Question: How do i get my dad to say yes? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 12:03 PM PST i have made enough money for a fish, and have all necessary things for a fish. My dad is going shopping soon, and the grocery store right next to the fish store, both only 5 minutes away! he said no, not today "in 10 days" my birthday. i have to wait for my birthday to spend my own hard earned money? i think its stupid. also, he never even gave a valid reason for saying no except "i said so" which is equaly stupid. i take care of the fish on my own time, and have a tank already set up for a community guppy tank. i have asked for hamster for birthday btw. does that have anything to do with it?
Question: What should I do about this situation with my sister? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 12:01 PM PST My sister prefers older (& richer) men. She has brought a few home and recently there is one she is with. Problem is she always tells us they are clients/bosses/employers but the signs say otherwise. These men usually stay at our house when they come and I have to give up my bed for them. Do we have a right to ask if we have to be so involved with them or do we just play along with my sister s claim?
Question: Was I flirting with my mother in law? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 11:29 AM PST My mother in law June told me she wanted to start dating again and hopefully get married again. She ask me what I thought of her chances of finding a man that would marry her. I told her with her great looks, a year from now she would have been on her honeymoon. She should plan now for her wedding dress as I know she will get a marriage proposal soon. She said is that true or are you just trying to make me feel good? I assured her what I was telling her was true. I told her men can not resist a beautiful woman with a great figure and she would soon be married. My wife, her daughter heard what I said and told me to stop flirting with her mother. Gals what do you think? Does what I said sound like I was flirting with her mother? I never in a million years would have thought of it that way. I thought I was just telling the truth
Question: Retired dad is having a kid. Thoughts? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 09:24 AM PST 67 year old dad is having a baby with a 24 yr old dental hygienist. Blonde, curves and pretty cute. Is there marriage potential here or no? I mean this seems awkward and strange, but how do his family and kids respond to this bombshell?

Posted: 04 Nov 2018 08:36 AM PST women tell the wife to get rid of him and find a new husband who will satisfy her?
Posted: 04 Nov 2018 08:27 AM PST She does not protect you and in fact places you in opportunities to be harmed and even to get diseases... And on top of all this if you confront her about what she has done she replies with sarcasm and shows that she believes she can never do any wrong and is always right and she takes the victim role even in relation to you to avoid admitting she has ever done anything wrong. It is so infuriating to have to deal with such a selfish self righteous person. I am trying to move out. But still it makes me angry when i think about what she has done to me and even moreso when i realize she cant admit faults and never says sorry even when i say sorry all the time...
Question: Does an alcoholic have to cut down gradually in case of a fit ? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 07:30 AM PST Hi my mum has been an alcoholic for well over 12 years now and I am the only child of 3 left living with her , she has stopped on many occasions but since her and my dad divorced she will drink everyday for the last 5 years , she says she can't just quit because she will have a seizure or something but gradually cutting down has been the idea for so many years now it doesn't look like she will ever stop or go a day without it. There are so many issues around her life and her getting involved with the wrong men which has worsened everything , she met a man after my dad and her split who turned out to do a lot of drugs and she spent £15,000 sending him to rehab out of money she got from selling our family home and then he came out and continued to drink and so drugs , then after him she met another guy who took her for granted , it is so infuriating but she brings it upon her self and I will come home from work and I can tell if she is drunk or hads been drinking straight away , I have depression myself but I can't afford to move out or anything and it makes me feel even worse when I see her like this , my 2 sisters want to nothing to do with her anymore which she always complains to me about but doesn't seem to appreciate me still being there for her , I don't know what to do

Posted: 04 Nov 2018 06:57 AM PST She abandoned me when I was toddler and she said I caused her stress to my so called cousins and that 'm the reason she smoked cigarettes like a steam train, she has lung cancer and emphysema. I honestly hope the evil clam just dies and I can live my own life I got children of my own and I refused her to have contact with them she also has been telling lies about me in the past too
Posted: 04 Nov 2018 06:43 AM PST Sometimes I feel I should respect him and other times I feel I should remind him he failed far greater then I. He really let down his father and was always negligent to him.
Question: How do I make my dad stop making fun of me? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 06:43 AM PST My dad keeps making fun of me, I'm really tired of him, I don't know how to stop him making fun of me, mom doesnt even care if he makes fun of me or no, what should I do? He's slowly putting me into depression...
Question: Why is my mom so unfair? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 06:31 AM PST She won't let me use my dads old Jeep to go to a party tonight! I told my dad if I can use it and he told me to ask my mother first. I asked her and she replied: "Absolutely not!" I'm 17! I'm an adult! I hope that rotten bîtch gets hit a bus!
Question: Why do family members who are distant always speak fondly of each other after one dies? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 06:27 AM PST My father was very negligent to his elders. Yet when his father died he spoke of how wonderful he was and if he is half the father his was then he will do a pretty good job. When his father was alive my Dad neglected him. His father was wonderful. However, my Dad neglected him and then mourned him when he died at age 91 last year. He did the same to his mother who died 4 years ago. Meanwhile my Mom did this to her father who she was downright angry at. He died when I was a kid so I don't remember as well. My Dad was never mad at his parents, just very negligent. In my Mom's case her parents divorced and she was downright bitter at her Dad and insulted him to us kids. He died when I was five. Now she speaks like he was the best Dad a girl could have. She neglected him as well though his death was sudden from what I understand. So why do family members who are distant always speak fondly of each other after one dies?
Question: Now that my sister has died how long until my parents will let me have friends over again? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 06:16 AM PST It is boring when she had cancer cause I couldn't have parties or anything. The funeral is Tuesday so next weekend will I be able to have parties again? When will my parents get over it? I am 16 and female
Posted: 04 Nov 2018 06:15 AM PST Even with me reaching out they overlook me. They are cordial but that is all and never include me. My parents won't speak to them cause they wouldn't let us move into my late grandparents house when my Granny died in 2010. I am 22 and have Asperger's Syndrome. Family is important. Yet I no longer have half the family. I feel rejected, ashamed, and embarrassed. Also somewhat angry at both sides in the feud. My mother just says "your siblings don't care so neither should you". However, I do care. I am rejected and it hurts especially next month at the holidays.
Question: My house is dirty and old and my family is so lazy and unhygienic? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 05:13 AM PST My house is always in a mess. My family's things are always lying around everywhere, not only are they untidy, they're literally DIRTY. They leave dishes on the table after eating, doesn't clear them, wash them, leave the leftover food lying around, making the whole house stink. I am always the one cleaning the house, it's getting so frustrating. Btw, I'm 16, my siblings are 20 and 23 and we live with our mother. My mom doesn't clean at all and she leaves her clothes everywhere, half-eaten chips, and her magazines are just all over the place. My kitchen cabinets are worn out and dirty all the time no matter how much I clean it. I have nationals coming up I can't possibly spend all my time cleaning the house every single day, cleaning up after them. What should I do? I've told my mom many times I'm tired of cleaning the house everyday and clearing their trash but all she says is that she will do it tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow. But she never does. Pls help?? I need advice not lecture pls

Posted: 04 Nov 2018 03:33 AM PST She died Thursday night. Everyone is here this weekend with the funeral Tuesday so I can easily get a ride from an aunt or my grandmother. I want to be able to enjoy seeing everyone and not be sad. Mom and Dad seem to like being miserable and same with my brother. I had been looking forward to Ashley's birthday and I will be seeing the family at the funeral and all. She lives only 12 minutes away so how can I get my parents to let me go? I'm tired of them wanting me to be miserable just cause they are.

Question: Would you find it creepy if you found out your crush stalked you? Posted: 04 Nov 2018 12:19 AM PDT Like let's say they found your Facebook and went through all the stuff you posted. Even if it were 500 things you posted and looked at all the things you have on your facebook. You find out because they bring up something subtly from 4 years ago. You think, how does he/she know that? Then you remember you posted that on Facebook like a long *** time ago. I get that everyone stalks, I would do it too. But isn't it creepy when they checked out every single thing you've done or is it normal?

Question: Why is dad so pissy...? Posted: 03 Nov 2018 09:46 PM PDT Mom took me and sister away from dad as kids and we saw him every other weekend. Anyways fast forward, I dont have money to move out and mom wanted me out so i moved in with dad about two months ago. Still getting settled in.. Every day recently he just seems to get bitchier for no reason.. He likes to walk in my room at least 4-5 times a day, when Im used to my mom who didnt even bother asking how my day was, much less ever walk in my room.. And he just awkwardly talks and tries to start conversation while I'm trying to watch tv, sleep or do something else.. So I ask him if he can not walk in so often, I'm not bitchy when I say it, and then he gets all pissy and slams the door and I hear him slamming stuff in the kitchen... Not the first time, hes done things like trying to figure out the computer and asking questions aloud while cussing at the computer, so i answer his questions then he gets more pissy... Is it me or what...?
Question: Is my mom being selfish? Posted: 03 Nov 2018 09:35 PM PDT I'm a sophomore in high school, I play on the JV softball team and in ASB. However, i've been leaning on doing a foreign exchange year for my junior or senior year, i'm pretty set on going to Japan. Before my mom was all good with letting me go, but now because of softball she said I can not go because she wants me to get my Letterman jacket senior year for softball. i'm not even on Varsity and honestly i could care less about some jacket. She knows how much i want to study abroad, dance and play softball out there but now she's being outrageous.

Question: Opinions on the situation? Posted: 03 Nov 2018 08:52 PM PDT Today I went shopping with my mother for my birthday as I have turned 17. I do not live with her so we do not see each other all of the time. Before we went out she gave me a birthday card and it was a very sweet card with stuff she wrote on the inside. After shopping I planned to take it home with me but I left it in the car. She texts me saying "did you not want your card?" I immideately felt terrible. I told her that I do want it and she said she'd give it to me when I saw her next. Is there anything you think I can do to make it up to her because I feel really terrible and when I asked if she was upset she said a little when she thought I didn't want it. I overreact about a lot of things but idk so any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated.
Posted: 03 Nov 2018 08:42 PM PDT recently I have been dealing with a lot of rude back handed comments when I am around them. For example the other night when we were at dinner my boyfriend made the comment that he received a $60 bonus at work. when discussing what he was thinking about doing with it the sister said "a ring for kelsey" I didn't hear this initially but her and his mom were laughing & snickering as they whispered to each other back and forth. & then she repeated her comment. I found this behavior to be rude and disrespectful to both of us. Right now he is working on paying off his students debt and car payment which totals $23,000 while his mother is paying for his sister 250+ guest wedding. This is an example of just one of several other comments I have taken in the past. They have also talked bad about others. It comes off as fake and I wonder if this is the way they talk about other people how do they talk about me? For months now it has been upsetting me and everytime we have to get together with them I have anxiety for weeks. I finally came out and told my boyfriend on how they make me feel last night and he completely understood where I was coming from and truly felt bad for the way they have made me feel. While he does love his mom and sister he does understand how they can be. This has been effecting my happiness and self worth. I hate to say it but at this point I feel they are toxic to my life and happiness. Am I justified to feel the way I do about them? How do i go on from here?
Question: Parents found condoms in my brother's room but are convinced they're mine? Posted: 03 Nov 2018 07:42 PM PDT I'm 14. Yesterday, my parents found condoms in my brother's room. He's 17. For whatever reason, however, my parents are convinced that the condoms are mine and grounded me. Thing is, I don't have (nor have I ever had) a girlfriend. I've never had sex before. My brother doesn't have a girlfriend but he has bought girls over before when our parents weren't home, but they don't believe me when I tell them. Any advice?
Question: He did this what does it mean? Posted: 03 Nov 2018 07:21 PM PDT Ex bf left church same time as I did almost like he waited for me to leave to also come out. I was going down the stairs, I turned around he was behind me. He asked how are you? grinning(hesitantly),. He asked how my family is and I asked his. I said why'd you lose so much weight he said he didn't that he's the same. Before leaving I said well don't lose anymore weight, he smiled shly and said alright. Before this We argued last time and he was blaming me etc and I said I tried giving him benefit of the doubt after all that but useless. He said he wasn't going to argue with me. So a few months passed and the above happened.
Question: My stepdad is an asshole: how to get revenge? Posted: 03 Nov 2018 07:19 PM PDT I'm 16. My stepdad sucks. He's hit me and my brother before, not beaten but just a hard smack that's drawn blood. Of course he was forgiven though because he has ptsd from an accident that fried his brain. But he's high functioning and to me this is an excuse my mom makes because we would lose our house if she left him. I don't want to go to social services because his physical abuse isn't regular, just a few times over the years. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather me and my family never have to see him again, but we rely on his job and him paying most of the bills. I don't live with him myself anymore ( I live with my dad now) I just have to visit a lot to see my siblings and mom. How do I get back at him without making my family homeless or getting in trouble?
Question: Alcoholic father lost my trust:(? Posted: 03 Nov 2018 07:15 PM PDT My dad was a bad alcoholic my whole childhood, and just this past May he had a terrible fall down our basement steps which almost killed him. He had brain bleeds and his heart stopped, he was in the hospital for two months barely breathing on his own. At the time I felt very guilty and i just wanted to make sure he was okay. He came home in the middle of the summer and hasn't said anything nice to me since. The only things he does are yelling at me and trying to make up for his lack of parenting after all those drunken years. I haven't forgiven him because he hasn't even tried to regain my trust. He's still having issues with his body since the fall such as random pains all over and such, but most of the time i don't even feel bad for him because of all the pain he's caused me since i was little. I feel bad for not having much sympathy but I feel as if he did this to himself and he's looking for sympathy for it. It's been dragging on for almost 4 months now since he's been home and i can't stand the thought of our relationship drifting apart, but most of the time i don't even want to talk to him! I know it's a hefty story but I would just like some advice please !

Question: Should I have had this discussion with my sister about life? Posted: 03 Nov 2018 06:17 PM PDT My sister asked me why Chuck E cheese pizza is so bad.... I told her that The main threat that seeks out kids, are poorly raised teenagers who have no guidance, nothing to do and who are failing school, who think that because they're a couple of years older, that they're somehow better than the young kids. The main damage that they inflict, is psychological disturbances in the young kids. The remedy is to have places set aside for kids, like Chuck E Cheese, that are inhospitable to teenagers. There is no such teenager that would even dare DREAM of being in the same TOWN as me, at my age of 32. The main threat that seeks out people of my age group, are murderers, armed robbers, drug dealers, failed ex football players that failed to make it into the NFL, being used as "bouncers".... The main damage that they inflict is murder, or a need for term care, or a long prison sentence until my innocence is proven (and) heard. The remedy people like me, is to have a good paying job, pay high rent, live in the suburbs, and stay out of trouble. Stay out of trouble means... NO Strip clubs and NO night clubs that use mentally retarded and psychologically disturbed, drunken, drug addict, HIV infested hosebags for "Entertainment". NO saloons where there are Drunk strangers all around. NO loitering. Have hobbies, and PAY for I take, or use. Attend church, to have, and to be around FRIENDS. A good life and getting what I PAY for, is MY adult "Chuck E Cheese" protection.

My sister wants to move to a new home that costs less and she wants to move me with her but I'm in the basement and can't exactly leave. What should I do? |

During a movie break, he got up to make some more popcorn, and I asked if I could hold his tarantula and he said it might bite and I said it probably won't and I admit it I kept nagging him to let me hold it and he got so mad he hit ME and went over to the tarantula cage, grabbed a pencil and basically stabbed it over and over and threw the cage onto the floor and smashed the spider with a book. I was shocked and started crying so I ran out and he screamed he would kill me if he ever saw me again because I made him kill his pet and I ran away and I'm home now and I'm so scared I don't know what to do |
