Before, she would only come over two days a week (Thursdays and Saturdays), but now she s coming over almost every other day and spending the night more often, usually from Thursday until Monday morning (on a work day). I don t mind her as a person, but it s getting too much. I honestly feel like she s a 4th roommate and she should eventually be paying part of the utilities or something. |

We started talking on the phone for hours, we spent a lot of time together and got to know each other. He lives 2 hours from me, he came to my city twice and I went to his city twice. We both felt very strongly about what we had and we agreed we wanted things to grow eventually into a serious relationship, we weren't just in it for fun. He even said he loves me. The last time I spent the weekend at his place he started calling me his girlfriend and he asked me if I would move in with him in the future if things got serious between us. I said no, even though I'm in this for marriage, the way I was raised is traditional, I can't see myself moving in with a guy before we get married. He said it was sort of a dealbreaker, but he doesn't want to lose me, so he wants to "slow things down" so he can "reconsider" things. I don't know how I feel about this, I understand everyone has dealbreakers, but if you really love someone like he says he loves me, wouldn't you compromise or would you lose that person over something you want that they won't do? He is 34 and I'm 25. |

They've been moving fast and I'd say that's a redflag. The other thing is that my sister was undeniably this guy's rebound. He dated this girl who he'd been obsessed with for ages for a few months before she dumped him. About two weeks after he got dumped, he matched with my sister on bumble, hooked up, and they've been together since. Don't get me wrong, my sister and her bf are very happy and their relationship is healthy. She's met his fam and he hangs with ours. They are great together. But when his ex comes up he's silent/can't even say her name. Last week his ex gf posted on insta about a job promotion and my sister noticed that he DMed to congratulate her and they talked back and forth a bit. He always says he's over his ex and never wants to talk about her, but he is awfully curious about what's going on in her life. He's 28 but still lives with his parents, has no college degree or steady job, is broke, has no car, and literally has no motivation to better his life and future. Every time I ask him what he wants for his future, he's always unsure. He spends 2-4 days a week going out to bars or clubs until 4-5AM and sleeping in everyday until 1-2PM.I feel like he has a mentality of a 21 year old, and is wasting his time with all this partying and excessive drinking. Over the course of the year he's also been putting in less and less effort with me. It feels like we barely talk or see each other anymore, and that I'm the one who's constantly initiating conversations. He knows I get upset when he's constantly out partying, yet still goes out. I've just been so so fed up with him recently, and we've been fighting a lot. I do really care and like him, and a part of me does want to make this work, but the realistic side of me is telling me to not even bother. If he can't fix himself, I won't have a good future being the one who constantly supports him. I get so pissed off even thinking about online dating it make me want to make a fake profile and ambush people with a chainsaw but I would never act on those feelings and believe violence/1st degree murder are wrong and I don't support it at all etc . Its all about marketing and pictures that really pisses me off its not about how you are as a person etc. I know a professional can give me the edge I am good at what I do for a living and I can afford 2k easily but its still a lot of money. Would I really even want to meet someone that just wants to meet because of marketing gimmicks? |
