She always rolls her eyes at our friend group. If someone corrects her, she rolls her eyes. If someone has an opinion different than hers, she rolls her eyes. I haven't gone a day where she hasn't rolled her eyes at us. 2. She's quick to gossip. If someone makes a joke, once they leave, she'll turn to the rest of us and talk about how bad of a friend they are, and will say things like "no wonder so-and-so doesn't like her." No matter how many times we'll tell her they were joking. Sometimes it's not even offensive in the first place. 3. I feel like she walks all over me. She always needs me for something, and it's come to the point where she never says thank you. She's always constantly asking for help, and I am glad to help, but whenever I need assistance she ignores what I have to say and changes the subject to something that's more fun for her to talk about . Lately I've been trying to ignore her when she does that but it's done me no justice. 4. She's sometimes hypocritical. She says things to me that make me feel upset, whereas if we did that to her she'd get angry. She's been telling me lately, "wow you're so nice to me." When I don't wait for her at her locker so I'm on time for class. Whereas when she does that to me, it's ok. One time I did call her out on that, and she made a face like "really? what's ur problem it's not that big of a deal." |

I've already talked to my boyfriend and he's done talking to me for tonight. We have been together for 3 years. He tends to put the blame on me for most of our arguments because of my low self esteem. He says I'm inconsiderate, negative, and mean. I do have low self esteem unfortunately, I feel ugly and worthless a lot of the times and I think that causes a lot of problems. Anyway back to the argument, he said that this girl he was friends with was way more nice to him than I was and that he was happier hanging out with her than me. And that it makes him sad that he was more happy with a friend than his girlfriend. Of course that made me feel really bad and made my self esteem worse. And the last thing he said was that if he had known me and how I was when he first saw me, that he never would've talked to me or bothered going out with me in the first place. He's also told me that when it comes to intelligence and work ethic that I'm pretty average. He loves attention and he has a big ego, and when I can't give it to him he insults me and claims that I don't love him even though I do. I am a nursing student pursuing a BSN so yes I do put my education and patients before him and I don't think he likes that. Im not sure if we should break up although I'm getting really tired of our circle of fighting. But I do love him very much. Anyway, thank you to whoever reads this and for advice. |

Distractions arent enough anymore, im at my breaking point. My heart is broken, i feel like im drowning. Tired of crying everyday, tired of getting headaches from all the thinking. I've already called the suicide hotline, i've already been to the mental institution, i've talked to so many people. I've lost interests and tried new things, stayed around people and gave myself some space. Can't even go back to school because of my issues, can't even hold a job. I've given it time, I've been trying to stay strong for years now, it has not got better. My soul is being drained of the last drop of hope it has. |

There were lots of cuts and they were obviously in pain. They refused to go to the nurse because they knew that they would be referred to the school counselor. I really want to anonymously tell somebody and get them the counseling they need, but I'm very shy and if I were to, I'm scared that my friend will know that I was the one who turned them in. They trust me enough to tell me this and I don't want to hurt our friendship. We hang out with different crowds and some of the people that my friend knows cut, and I know that they won't tell anybody. I've been to a counselor before for anxiety and it helped me so much, my school counselor is really nice and I know that my friend needs it, but I don't want to make them feel worse. So much focus on elderly being alone, especially over Christmas, while there are many of us younger who are alone - if media are correct (in fairness this may be one time they are, between economic struggles and current cultural changes) there's an epidemic of loneliness. There just seems to be little to nothing to address the issue of loneliness in younger people. |

The teacher took my and my bffs copy and showed my bff both the copies and my bff was like OMG SHE COPIED MINE...when I came back, the teacher called me out and told me she knew I copied and I shouldn t do it again but my bff, she kept on asking me the website...I am so dumb that to save myself, I wrote the whole creative writing on Quora and sent her the link. I told her that this guy, let's call him ' Warren ' who I never really hang out with, gave me what I'm assuming was a Christmas gift. Warren and I have a few classes together, he's pretty nice, he phrases things oddly at times I think because he's autistic. But all in all, from what I've seen he's a nice guy. I don't know too much about him since we don't really hang out or talk too often. My friend thinks he has a crush on me? I don't think he does.. but i do find it a bit strange to give a gift to someone who you don't talk to too often. He'll sometimes come up and chat with my friends and I during lunch, normally he just tells us we're weirdos. I'm a bit stressed since max will pick on me about it, and whenever I feel embarrassed my face gets red, I sometimes awkwardly smile, and end up going on stupid rants about weird pointless stuff. Since my step siblings came over we had Christmas early and I opened what he gave me. It was a sketchbook and pencils. I believe this woman (whom I will call Amy) is mentally unstable and she took something i said (which was not bad at all) and misinterpreted it. We were actually friends, so when she was complaining about her job all I did was ask her if she was happy there because she honestly didn't seem happy there. She was always complaining of not wanting to be there, moaning she isn't making money, complaining all the time, sitting in the back corner all by herself, etc. She took what I said the wrong way, and thought I was putting her down and putting myself on a pedestal as someone doing better than her. I did not mean it that way and have only treated her with kindness. After I said this, she sent me a bunch of horrible abusive texts calling me names, cursing, and very angry messages. She then explained that the conversation is closed and that I am not allowed to speak with her any longer. She won't even let me explain myself but yet she gets to curse at me and yell frantically! I honestly didn't know what to think and have not responded. Since we work in a bar, it is not the most professional place and management typically doesn't want to get involved in our personal affairs but im concerned this will spill over as we cross paths. How do i manage this? Im stressed out a bit and honestly am worried about her temper! |

I made no friends and had extremely limited experience of socializing or talking to adults since i was 18. The only friends i had are my high school classmates who were forced to be around me but don't want to do so anymore after graduation. I don't know how to talk people, friendly or professionally, or romantically. I am a virgin and never had a relationship or flirted with or flirted by anyone. I also don't have any male or female friends I have never taken any sales or services job. I am unable to communicate effectively with my co-workers even when i am not working sales or services job. I don't talk to my co-workers. I am studying college experiencing similar issues where i am also required to work with people. One of major concern i am having is the fear of missing out, sex, romance, friendship, fun, things i didn't enjoy when it was the best age to. I have no social skills, confidence. SSRI may be able to help me excel in those, but i have heard it is also possible to take sex away permanently The drugs were recommended by my psychiatrist. I didn't agree, should i take them? i am running out of time. I am 23 years old and missed out too much. |

I should start from the beginning For about 4 years I had a best friend. I was 12 when I first saw her. She was 8. A little bit younger. Basically we immediately became best friends. Over the days we hung out. I knew her family really well they were amazing. The first two years she would always send me cute smiles and emoji's when she was 12 she and I would always go to the park make fun musical videos. That was our thing, music and dancing. We were very best friends. But when she turned thirteen she grew really sick and she died from cancer in the lymph nodes. I was 17 at the time. This was September 2015 when we lived in Arizona. After she died I grew frustrated and extremely painfully sad over her death. Her family and ours lost contact. My family moved from Arizona to Oregon. When I lived in Oregon 2016, I fell into severe depression. I had quickly realized I fell in love with her. I wish I had the courage and was brave enough to tell her that I loved her. But she's gone now and I'll never be able to. I know it seems childish but I still today wish, and I'm so hurt and feel so sad, the pain is unexplainable. I wanted to ask you guys. How can I help this pain go away. As much as it's the only thing that reminds me of her. I feel it's time to forgive and forget, that it's time to move on but I don't know how. She was, what one might call, a girl. She had no serious relatioships, played with her friends, behaved in a silly way and giggled at silly things. She would wear skinny jeans did track She was a bit introverted and nerdy. Recently, I came across her at a party thrown by a mutual friend. Jessica looked so different, she had shoulder length and had somewhat of a poise when she spoke and held her cocktail glass. When she saw me, she expressed such a surprise, that her jaw dropped and she gasped. Then she called out my name and hugged me. Something which I could never see the teenage Jessica doing. She never hugged and never even revealed this much skin. She was wearing a dress, something I never saw her in. Lastly, she introduced me to a young gentleman, clean shaven and slender. This was her fiance. The man stuck his hand out and gave me a firm professional handshake. Later on, I saw Jessica resting her head on his shoulder when we watched this band play. I observed this with interest. Somewhere along the years, she lost her girlhood and turned into a woman. Yet the two seemed so different from each other. Like a caterpillar and butterfly. One could not call her a "girl" anymore. She is a woman and behaves very much like one. And I see this change happen faster and more frequently in women than in men. Why is this? Why are their changes so dramatic? |

It s like I m not here anymore or something after we see each other. I can t tell if people don t like me or what. All I know is that if I got rich or something I d suddenly have like a thousand "friends". Should I consider someone not a friend if they never talk to me. I don t want to always start up conversations it makes me feel like I m trying to hard to have friends(even tho I am). |

I could ask her to hang out with me when she's with other people and she'll leave those people to hang out with me. I never do that though because she always seems to be having fun with other people. I think it's probably because she's known me for a long time? |

However, he started to say sexual things. In the beginning, I laughed it off because I thought it will pass. At some point, however, he started describing the color of my underwear and described what he would do to me. I told him to stop but it continued on. I pretty much demanded an apology for him but he refused. My problem is I will keep seeing this guy at the gym- and it won't make me feel right about it He promised to stay away from me which is fine. But I will never feel right knowing I chewed him out. FYI- he never really apologized. What to do? Should I keep going there or just quit working out. Yes, it's that bad. |

I'm just ready to make new ones and start over because like I mentioned in my other question that I asked is some of my friends just stop texting me when we're in the middle of a conversation and with my best friend I just don't know if I should text her first anymore like I was a little bit. She does text me first tho more often than I text her first but I am about ready for her just to keep texting me first if she wants to talk. I just don't know how to act with this and she's coming over to my house on Thursday to spend time with me. I just don't know what to say to her either. I'm just about to the point to where I don't care if me and her talk anymore. I know I don't want to be mad either but I just don't know what to do about this. She did say that me and her will be best friends forever though but I don't know. I really need help with this please :( |

He never ignored her and is nicer to her and always approaches her but I ignored her many times and once she even came and approached me which was surprising because she is a quiet girl. But when I speak to her I am nice but I think she sees that I'm an asshole because I was very cold when I got ignored her and even she looked at me many times and also smiled at me but I didn't smile back. Saturday was the worst day in my life because I saw her looking at him many times and even he did but at different times. After class she didn't approach him and just left. |

I dont want to call her (my friends name)'s mom because that sounds childlike. I also dont want to call her by her first name or Mrs. (her last name) because it sounds too formal and weird for a teen to say. And i dont want to keep avoiding it altogether and just say "Excuse me.." or something like that. Help!! |

| Question: Excuses to get out of my friend’s party because of anxiety? Last time I went to a party at her house I had a massive panic attack and it was just an awful experience. | Question: I'm having love problems? Posted: 17 Dec 2017 06:19 PM PST Aight, so basically, there's this girl in my Grade 9 Science class that hates me (I think?). My group of friends used to make fun of her back in middle school and she was always alone and by herself. I remember one time we even made her cry and she told the teachers on us. A few years later, here she is in my Science class. I no longer hang out with my group of friends because most of them moved away or go to a different school now. So now, no one really makes fun of her anymore and I stopped making fun of her too after a while. So one day, our teacher put us into groups of two for a project. I got stuck with her and I had to work beside her during class time. I thought that it would be awkward, but surprisingly, it was really easy to get along with her. During that time, I found out that she was super nice and funny. She's also really smart. Somehow I ended up falling in love with her, I dont know when and why, but now every time I look at her, she just looks so pretty and my heart beats a little faster. I know, cheesy, but its true! Then one day during class, I asked her if she remembered how I used to bully her. She got a bit tense and said yeah. I apologized to her and asked if we could be friends now and she said okay. Then one day, one of her friends told me her birthday is coming up in about two weeks, and for some reason, I went out and bought a really expensive necklace for her. Should I give it to her? What if she still hates me? How do I try and get closer to her? |

Posted: 17 Dec 2017 06:13 PM PST it hurts me so much, and it's not fair to them, i have this one friend she's going thru a lot her sister has a medical condition, she can't fail any classes, always studying 24/7, has money problems, her stepdad is rude and obnoxious, her biological father called her up and asked how she is, she has no freedom and the thing that worries me is that she says the only way is too commit suicide and she's getting help and everything it's just im trying to help and i feel like its not helping, im trying to give good advice but I just don't know what to say and i just don't want her to get hurt anymore |

Also, my friend is like in 9th grade and in Algebra 2 right now so lack of intelligence isn't an option if above expression turns out to be 14 to as aforementioned that I got it. So, all nonsense behind, what is 5+9, and does this potentially mean I am smarter than my friend if for any reason I am correct and he is not? Posted: 17 Dec 2017 05:45 PM PST So what happened is my pet recently died, and maybe 30 minutes after my pet was put down my best friend texted me. She started out saying," Are you okay?" Which I responded to and the next thing she said was," Is he in heaven?" Which 1. My pet was a she (which she would've known had she listened to me) and 2. asking a question with an uncertain answer isn't exactly comforting. So at this point I'm angry, and I don't reply. Then an hour later she messages me," Hiiiiiii, do you have the math homework?" and I'm really pissed because she knew I was mourning and yet she asked me this. Do I have a right to be angry? |
